Abstract

本发明公开了一种显示面板的驱动方法、显示面板及显示装置,在显示相邻两帧画面之间插入过渡时间段,且在过渡时间段同时打开显示板第n行至第N行像素,并向打开的像素提供最高灰阶的电压。即相当于在显示完一帧画面之后,显示下一帧画面之前,将第n行至第N行像素的像素的灰阶均变为最高灰阶,这样就可以在显示下一帧画面时提高第n行至第N行像素的响应时间,从而提高显示面板的显示品质。

一种显示面板的驱动方法、显示面板及显示装置
技术领域
本发明涉及显示技术领域,尤指一种显示面板的驱动方法、显示面板及显示装置。
背景技术
液晶显示器一般包括对盒的上基板和下基板,以及填充在上基板和下基板之间的液晶分子层。在显示画面时,由于加载在各像素的像素电极上的驱动电压和公共电极上的公共电极电压之间形成电场,而液晶分子在电场作用下会发生偏转,偏转程度不同,导致透过率不同,从而实现画面显示。
但是,由于液晶分子具有粘滞效应,因此液晶分子偏转至预期状态会有一个时间过程,即响应时间,响应时间长会导致像素充电率不足,进而影响液晶显示器的显示品质。尤其是对于虚拟现实显示,响应速度慢还会导致进入人眼的图像与人头部以及眼球的转动不匹配,从而造成不适感觉。
因此,如何提高响应速度是本领域技术人员亟需解决的问题。
发明内容
有鉴于此,本发明实施例提供了一种显示面板的驱动方法、显示面板及显示装置,用以解决现有技术中存在的响应速度慢的问题。
本发明实施例提供的一种显示面板的驱动方法,在显示相邻两帧画面之间插入过渡时间段,且在所述过渡时间段同时打开所述显示板第n行至第N行像素,并向打开的像素提供最高灰阶的电压;其中,N为所述显示面板最后一行像素的行数,n为大于0且小于N的整数。其中,最高灰阶由显示面板的图像数据的位数M决定,最高灰阶为2M-1。
较佳地,在本发明实施例提供的上述驱动方法中,所述过渡时间段的维持时长控制在1H-10H之间,其中,1H等于所述显示面板在显示一帧画面时扫描一行像素的时间。
较佳地,在本发明实施例提供的上述驱动方法中,还包括:在所述过渡时间段关闭所述显示面板的背光。
较佳地,在本发明实施例提供的上述驱动方法中,n为小于N/2的整数。
较佳地,在本发明实施例提供的上述驱动方法中,n=1。
较佳地,在本发明实施例提供的上述驱动方法中,所述显示面板显示一帧画面具体为:
在扫描时间段,逐行扫描所述显示面板的第1行至第N行像素;
在保持时间段,所述显示面板的各行像素处于保持状态,且打开所述显示面板的背光。
较佳地,在本发明实施例提供的上述驱动方法中,还包括:在所述扫描时间段关闭所述显示面板的背光。
相应地,本发明实施例还提供了一种显示面板,所述显示面板采用本发明实施例提供的上述驱动方法进行驱动。
相应地,本发明实施例还提供了一种显示装置,包括本发明实施例提供的上述显示面板。
本发明有益效果如下:
本发明实施例提供的显示面板的驱动方法、显示面板及显示装置,在显示相邻两帧画面之间插入过渡时间段,且在过渡时间段同时打开显示板第n行至第N行像素,并向打开的像素提供最高灰阶的电压。即相当于在显示完一帧画面之后,显示下一帧画面之前,将第n行至第N行像素的像素的灰阶均变为最高灰阶,这样就可以在显示下一帧画面时提高第n行至第N行像素的响应时间,从而提高显示面板的显示品质。

具体实施方式
为了使本发明的目的、技术方案和优点更加清楚,下面将结合附图对本发明作进一步地详细描述,显然,所描述的实施例仅是本发明一部分实施例,而不是全部的实施例。基于本发明中的实施例,本领域普通技术人员在没有做出创造性劳动前提下所获得的所有其它实施例,都属于本发明保护的范围。
研究发现显示面板的灰阶由L0到Lx或Lx到Ly的响应时间比由L0到L255、L255到L0或者L255到Lx的响应时间慢很多,其中Lx和Ly表示大于0且小于255的两个不同的灰阶。具体仿真模拟结果如图1所示,从图1可以看出由L0到L255的响应时间t2和由L255到Lx的响应时间t3远小于由Ly到Lx的响应时间t1。
基于此研究结果,本发明实施例提供的一种显示面板的驱动方法,如图2所示,在显示相邻两帧画面S之间插入过渡时间段B,且在过渡时间段B同时打开显示板第n行至第N行像素(Gn-GN),并向打开的像素(Gn-GN)提供最高灰阶的电压;其中,N为显示面板最后一行像素GN的行数,n为大于0且小于N的整数。
本发明实施例提供的上述驱动方法,在显示相邻两帧画面之间插入过渡时间段,且在过渡时间段同时打开显示板第n行至第N行像素,并向打开的像素提供最高灰阶的电压。即相当于在显示完一帧画面之后,显示下一帧画面之前,将第n行至第N行像素的像素的灰阶均变为最高灰阶,这样就可以在显示下一帧画面时提高第n行至第N行像素的响应时间,从而提高显示面板的显示品质。
在实际应用中,一般显示面板中,由于后半屏扫描的时间靠后,因此响应时间对后半屏的影响比较严重。因此,较佳地,在本发明实施例提供的驱动方法中,n为小于N/2的整数。这样可以在过渡时间段至少向后半屏的像素提供最高灰阶的电压。
在具体实施时,在本发明实施例提供的驱动方法中,n=1。即在过渡时间段向全屏的像素提供最高灰阶的电压。
在具体实施时,在本发明实施例提供的驱动方法中,最高灰阶为2M-1,其中M是显示面板的数据的位数。例如当M=8,最高灰阶为255灰阶。
在具体实施时,在本发明实施例提供的驱动方法中,过渡时间段的维持时长控制在1H-10H之间,其中,1H等于显示面板在显示一帧画面时扫描一行像素的时间。过渡时间段太长,容易使人眼察觉,过渡时间段太短,打开的像素又不能及时达到最高灰阶。
较佳地,在本发明实施例提供的驱动方法中,如图3所示,还包括:在过渡时间段B关闭显示面板的背光。这样可以避免过渡时间段影响视觉效果。
由于虚拟现实显示对显示面板的响应时间的要求比较高,因此,在具体实施时,本发明实施例提供的上述驱动方法用于虚拟现实显示效果会更佳。
较佳地,在本发明实施例提供的驱动方法中,如图2所示,显示面板显示一帧画面S具体为:
在扫描时间段S1,逐行扫描显示面板的第1行G1至第N行像素GN;
在保持时间段S2,显示面板的各行像素Gn处于保持状态,且打开显示面板的背光。
较佳地,在本发明实施例提供的驱动方法中,如图3所示,还包括:在扫描时间段S1关闭显示面板的背光。从而可以减轻逐行扫描时人的眩晕效应。
基于同一发明构思,本发明实施例还提供了一种显示面板,该显示面板采用本发明实施例提供的上述任一种驱动方法进行驱动。由于该显示面板解决问题的原理与前述驱动方法相似,因此该显示面板的实施可以参见前述驱动方法的实施,重复之处不再赘述。
基于同一发明构思,本发明实施例还提供了一种显示装置,包括本发明实施例提供的显示面板。该显示装置可以为:手机、平板电脑、电视机、显示器、笔记本电脑、数码相框、导航仪等任何具有显示功能的产品或部件。该显示装置的实施可以参见上述显示面板的实施例,重复之处不再赘述。
较佳地,在具体实施时,本发明实施例提供的显示装置为虚拟现实装置。
本发明实施例提供的上述显示面板的驱动方法、显示面板及显示装置,在显示相邻两帧画面之间插入过渡时间段,且在过渡时间段同时打开显示板第n行至第N行像素,并向打开的像素提供最高灰阶的电压。即相当于在显示完一帧画面之后,显示下一帧画面之前,将第n行至第N行像素的像素的灰阶均变为最高灰阶,这样就可以在显示下一帧画面时提高第n行至第N行像素的响应时间,从而提高显示面板的显示品质。
显然,本领域的技术人员可以对本发明进行各种改动和变型而不脱离本发明的精神和范围。这样,倘若本发明的这些修改和变型属于本发明权利要求及其等同技术的范围之内,则本发明也意图包含这些改动和变型在内。

Claims (9)

1.一种显示面板的驱动方法,其特征在于:在显示相邻两帧画面之间插入过渡时间段,且在所述过渡时间段同时打开所述显示板第n行至第N行像素,并向打开的像素提供最高灰阶的电压;其中,N为所述显示面板最后一行像素的行数,n为大于0且小于N的整数。
2.如权利要求1所述的驱动方法,其特征在于,所述过渡时间段的维持时长控制在1H-10H之间,其中,1H等于所述显示面板在显示一帧画面时扫描一行像素的时间。
3.如权利要求1所述的驱动方法,其特征在于,还包括:在所述过渡时间段关闭所述显示面板的背光。
4.如权利要求1所述的驱动方法,其特征在于,n为小于N/2的整数。
5.如权利要求4所述的驱动方法,其特征在于,n=1。
6.如权利要求1-5任一项所述的驱动方法,其特征在于,所述显示面板显示一帧画面具体为:
在扫描时间段,逐行扫描所述显示面板的第1行至第N行像素;
在保持时间段,所述显示面板的各行像素处于保持状态,且打开所述显示面板的背光。
7.如权利要求6所述的驱动方法,其特征在于,还包括:在所述扫描时间段关闭所述显示面板的背光。
8.一种显示面板,其特征在于,所述显示面板采用如权利要求1-7所述的驱动方法进行驱动。
9.一种显示装置,其特征在于,包括如权利要求8所述的显示面板。
