Abstract
The invention discloses a curl number detection ruler, which comprises a main body frame and a measuring ruler, wherein the main body frame consists of a handheld handle and a measuring ruler fixing frame, the measuring ruler fixing frame is fixedly connected with the measuring ruler, the handheld handle is connected with the measuring ruler fixing frame, the handheld handle is provided with radian, scales are arranged on two sides of the measuring ruler, one side of the measuring ruler is provided with scale marks of 0-16 cm, and the scale mark value is 0.1cm; the other side is provided with a curl scale, and each 4cm of the curl scale is provided with a curl scale. A transverse inverted T-shaped groove penetrating through the measuring ruler is arranged between scale marks on two sides of the measuring ruler, a movable pointer is arranged in the groove, one end of the movable pointer is clamped into the inverted T-shaped groove, and the other end of the movable pointer is a needle. Technical Field
The invention relates to the technical field of detection of the curl elasticity of wool fibers, in particular to a wool curl number measuring ruler.
Background
Wool curling is a process in which wool in its natural state presents regular curling waves along the length direction. Curl is classified into 7 types such as a flat wave, a long wave, a shallow wave, a normal wave, a flat circular wave, a high wave, and a broken line wave according to the difference between the curl waveform and the curl number. The number of curls of the fine wool is generally 4 to 9 per cm. The detection items of the curl performance mainly include the curl number, the curl rate, the curl recovery, the curl elastic recovery, and the like.
The curling of wool has a remarkable correlation with the internal structure and chemical composition of the fibers, and is formed by the bilateral structure of the front and the back cortex of the wool and the periodical movement of hair follicles, which is a good characteristic of wool. The characteristics of the wool are affected by a plurality of factors, different varieties of wool often have different curling forms, when the conditions of sheep raising are different, curling conditions are different, and the curling of the wool growing on different parts of the same sheep is also different.
The crimp performance of wool is a technical index which is important as fineness and length and can express the thickness, quality and processing performance of fiber. Wool crimp performance is twofold, and first, wool crimp is desirable for many products, particularly carpets, and increased crimp generally improves crush resistance and hand feel, and low crimp wool improves carpet performance by increasing artificial crimp, which increases softness, smoothness, and fullness of the product. On the other hand, the curling of wool is sometimes disadvantageous for processing, the curling degree of wool increases, the strength and elongation at break of yarn decrease, the unevenness increases, the nub increases, and particularly, excessive curling degree is disadvantageous for spinning processing and its products. In summary, crimp is also an important character of the fibers, affecting the improvement of the fibers and the quality and style of the textile, such as bulk, compression elasticity, hand, cohesion, and processing properties such as mixing, carding, and drawing of the fibers. The normal wave and shallow wave wool is suitable for spinning high-grade smooth combed wool yarn, and the high wave wool has better fulling property and is suitable for coarse combed wool spinning.
The wool curl measurement internationally adopts detection methods such as a mechanical stretching measurement method, a Sirolian-LaserScan method, an OFDA method and the like, and the methods are required to be detected in a laboratory through large-scale instruments, so that the method is inconvenient to use, and most sheep farms and laboratories are difficult to equip with the instruments. Therefore, the most commonly used method for measuring the curl of wool is also a hand-feeling visual method, and the judgment result of the method is greatly influenced by human factors. The patent designs a measuring ruler for detecting the number of curls of wool, which has the advantages of simple design, convenient use, visual measurement, accurate result, two measuring modes, one simple and one quick; the bending number of the upper, middle and lower three parts of a bundle of wool can be measured simultaneously; the movable pointer is used for indicating the counting area, so that the measurement is accurate and the error reading is not easy.

The wool curl number measuring ruler comprises a main body frame and 2 measuring rules 3, wherein one measuring rule is a large bending measuring rule, and the other measuring rule is a small curl measuring rule;

The other scale is a scale mark with one side still being 0-16 cm, the scale division value is 0.1cm, the other side is also 4 bending numbers, when the 4cm has 28 bending numbers, 7 bending numbers/cm, when the 4cm has 32 bending numbers, 8 bending numbers/cm, when the 4cm has 40 bending numbers, 10 bending numbers/cm, and when the 4cm has 44 bending numbers, 11 bending numbers/cm are small scale.
The middle of the clamping position of the measuring ruler is respectively provided with a small hole 5, the small holes are used for fixing the measuring ruler on the fixing frame by nuts, and the structure can be used for dismounting and mounting the measuring ruler at any time.

The invention relates to a method for using a wool curl measuring ruler;
1. selecting a measuring ruler: and the measurement accuracy is clear, and if the measurement accuracy requirement is higher, a centimeter measuring ruler is selected when the measurement accuracy is 0.1 per cm. If the required precision is not too high (1/cm) and the bending of the tested wool is relatively uniform, a centimeter measuring ruler or a curl number measuring ruler can be selected;
2. installing a measuring ruler, unscrewing two fixing nuts, placing a considerable amount of movable pointers on the selected measuring ruler, placing the movable pointers on a fixing frame, and screwing the fixing screws.
3. If the number of the curls is measured by the curl measuring ruler, a movable pointer is placed on each 4cm scale, the bending degree of the wool is compared with the bending degree of the measuring ruler, the bending degree of the wool is basically consistent with the bending degree of the measuring ruler, and the number of the curls on the measuring ruler is read, namely the number of the curls of the wool.
4. If the 'cm measuring ruler' is used for measuring, the movable pointer is placed on the corresponding scale position, the bending number in the corresponding length is counted, and then the bending number of the measured wool per cm is calculated.
5. If the bending numbers of the upper, middle and lower three parts of the wool are measured at the same time, the bending numbers can be measured or read at the same time.
