As shown in fig. 1-11, a power connector adapter 1 according to the present invention includes a first end 10 for mating with a first mating connector (not shown), a second end 20 for mating with a second mating connector (not shown), and an intermediate portion 30 connecting the first end 10 and the second end 20. The first mating connector conforms to a first standard, such as, but not limited to, GB/T20234.2-2011. The second docking connector conforms to a second standard, such as, but not limited to, IEC 62196-2.
As shown in fig. 1-6 and 11, the first end 10 includes a first insulating member 11, a plurality of first terminals 12 fixed and received in the first insulating member 11, a plurality of "O" rings 13 respectively mounted on the first terminals 12, a sealing ring 14, and a locking mechanism 15 mounted on the first insulating member 11. The first insulating member 11 includes a first receiving space 110 disposed at a front end thereof for receiving the first mating connector, a pin hole 111 disposed at the front end of the first insulating member 11 for mating with a latch plate of the first mating connector, a mating groove 112 disposed at a rear end of the first insulating member 11 opposite to the front end, and a receiving groove 113 disposed at the rear end of the mating groove 112 for receiving the sealing ring 14. The first insulating member 11 includes a plurality of protrusions 114 protruding into the first receiving space 110, and each protrusion 114 is provided with a through hole 115 for receiving a corresponding first terminal 12. The first terminals 12 each include a mating end 120 having a mating hole 121 for mating with the first mating connector, a terminal end 123 opposite to the mating end 120 for electrically connecting with the middle portion 30, and a flange portion 124 disposed between the mating end 120 and the terminal end 123. The flange portion 124 is provided with a receiving channel 126 for receiving the "O" ring 13. First terminals 12 are each sealed and held floating by an "O" ring 13. The latching mechanism 15 is used to latch or unlatch the latch plate of the first mating connector. The latch mechanism 15 includes a latch member 151, a push button 152, a spring 153, and a latch cover 154. The latching pieces 151 may be horizontally driven from an initial position, where the first mating connector latch piece and the latch hole 111 may be unlatched, to a latching position, where the first mating connector latch piece and the latch hole 111 may not be unlatched. When the button 152 is pressed downward, the locking piece 151 can be actuated. The spring 153 is used to drive the button 152 to return and maintain the initial position.
As shown in fig. 1-4 and 9-11, the second end 20 includes a second insulating member 21, a plurality of second terminals 22 received and fixed in the second insulating member 21, a plurality of O-rings 23 and sealing rings 24 respectively mounted on the second terminals 22. The second insulating member 21 includes a second receiving space 210 disposed at a front end thereof for receiving the second mating connector, a mating groove 212 disposed at a rear end of the second insulating member 21 opposite to the front end, and a receiving groove 213 disposed at a rear end of the mating groove 212 for receiving the sealing ring 24. The second insulating member 21 includes a plurality of protruding portions 214 protruding into the second receiving space 210, and each of the protruding portions 214 is provided with a through hole 215 for receiving the second terminal 22. The second terminals 22 each include a mating end 220 having a mating hole 221 for mating with the second mating connector, a terminal end 223 opposite the mating end 220 for electrically connecting with the middle portion 30, and a flange portion 224 disposed between the mating end 220 and the terminal end 223. The flange portion 224 includes a receiving channel 226 for receiving the "O" ring 23. The thickness of the "O" ring 23 is 1.5 mm. Each second terminal 22 is sealed and kept floating by an "O" ring 23.
As shown in fig. 1-4, 7, 8 and 11, the middle portion 30 includes a connecting member 31 disposed between the first end 10 and the second end 20, and a middle body 32 wrapped around the connecting member 31. The connecting component 31 is electrically connected to the first terminal 12 and the second terminal 22, respectively. The intermediate body 32 connects the first insulator 11 and the second insulator 21 to clamp the first end 10 and the second end 20 and the connecting assembly 31 together. The connecting assembly 31 includes a spacer 310, a plurality of conductive wires 311 received in the spacer 310, and a pair of elastic portions 312 respectively disposed at two opposite ends of the spacer 310. The elastic portion 312 is pressed and applies a force forward to the first and second terminals 12 and 22, respectively. The thickness of the elastic portion 312 is 2.8 mm. The first and second terminals 12 and 22 are each held in a floating state by the elastic portion 312. The conductive wires 311 are electrically connected to the first terminals 12 and the second terminals 22, respectively. The spacers 310 include a plurality of receiving cavities 313, and the receiving cavities 313 are each provided with a side opening 314 for receiving the conductive wires 311. The intermediate body 32 includes an upper half 320 and a lower half 321. The upper half 320 and the lower half 321 each include a pair of abutment ribs 323 disposed at opposite ends, and the pair of abutment ribs 323 are caught in the abutment grooves 112, 212 of the first and second insulating members 11, 21, respectively.
As shown in fig. 1-11, a method for assembling a power connector adapter 1 according to the present invention includes the following steps: connecting a connecting assembly 31 with a plurality of first terminals 12 and second terminals 22, inserting the first terminals 12 into a first insulating member 11 to form a first end 10, inserting the second terminals 22 into a second insulating member 21 to form a second end 20, and pressing an elastic part 312 of the connecting assembly 31, wherein the elastic part 312 elastically presses the first terminals 12 or the second terminals 22; the connecting assembly 31 is covered with an intermediate body 32, and the intermediate body 32 is connected to the first and second insulators 11 and 21, thereby clamping the first and second ends 10 and 20 and the connecting assembly 31 together. Preferably, the step of assembling the connecting assembly 31 to the first and second terminals 12, 22 includes: electrically and physically connecting the conductive wires 311 of the connecting components 31 with the first terminals 12 and the second terminals 22; the wires 311 are disposed in the spacers 310 of the connection member 31. Preferably, the step of assembling the elastic part 312 to the spacer 310 includes: the two elastic portions 312 are assembled to opposite ends of the spacer 310, respectively, with the first terminal 12 and the second terminal 22 being respectively advanced. After the two elastic portions 312 are disposed on the spacer 310, the conductive wires 311 are assembled with the first and second terminals 12 and 22 in the receiving cavities 313 of the spacer 310 and pass through the corresponding side openings 314 of the spacer 310.

Claims (8)

1. A power connector adapter comprises a first end, a second end, a connecting component and a middle body, wherein the first end is used for being in butt joint with a first butt-joint connector, the second end is used for being in butt joint with a second butt-joint connector, the connecting component is arranged between the first end and the second end, the middle body covers the connecting component, the first end comprises a first insulating part and a plurality of first terminals fixed on the first insulating part, the second end comprises a second insulating part and a plurality of second terminals fixed on the second insulating part, the power connector adapter is characterized in that the connecting component is electrically connected with the first terminals and the second terminals, the connecting component comprises at least one elastic part, the elastic part is pressed forwards by the first terminals or the second terminals, the middle body is connected with the first insulating part and the second insulating part to clamp the first end, the second end and the connecting component together, the middle body comprises an upper half part and a, The second insulating part is provided with a butt joint groove respectively, the upper half part and the lower half part comprise a pair of butt joint ribs arranged at two opposite ends, and the pair of butt joint ribs are clamped in the butt joint grooves of the first insulating part and the second insulating part respectively.

3. The power connector adapter of claim 2 wherein said spacer members include a plurality of receiving cavities, each of said receiving cavities having a side opening for receiving a wire.
4. A power connector adapter according to claim 2 wherein one said resilient portion is provided at each of opposite ends of said spacer.
5. The power connector adapter according to claim 1, wherein each of said first and second terminals is sealed and held floating by an "O" ring.
6. The power connector adapter of claim 1 wherein said first end includes a latch aperture and a latching mechanism, said latching mechanism including a latching member and an actuating member.
7. The power connector adapter of claim 6 wherein said actuator member comprises a key and a spring for retaining the key in an initial position.
8. A method of assembling a power connector adapter comprising the steps of:
connecting the connecting assembly with a plurality of first terminals and second terminals respectively;
inserting a first terminal into a first insulator to form a first end;
inserting a second terminal into the second insulator to form a second end;
pressing an elastic part of the connection assembly, the elastic part elastically pressing the first terminal or the second terminal;
coating an intermediate body on the connecting component, wherein the intermediate body is connected with a first insulating piece and a second insulating piece to clamp the first end, the second end and the connecting component together;
electrically and physically connecting the wires of the connecting components with the first terminals and the second terminals;
the conductor is arranged in the spacer of the connecting assembly.
