Technical Field
The present invention relates to the field of communications technologies, and in particular, to a method and an apparatus for reducing a dropped call rate of a VoLTE service.
Background
In a mobile communication LTE (Long Term Evolution) network, an operator deploys volte (voice over LTE) after the LTE network realizes full network coverage in the future. The VoLTE technology has the advantages of shorter user connection waiting time, more natural audio and video communication effect and higher quality. When the LTE network coverage area is smaller than the eHRPD network coverage area, the continuity of the Data service can be achieved through redirection from the LTE network to the eHRPD (Evolved High Rate packet Data) network. However, since there is no VCC (Voice Call Continuity) mechanism from VoLTE to CDMA 1X. Interruption of VoLTE service may occur when a user is handed over from an LTE network to an eHRPD network.
In the prior art, the redirection threshold from the LTE network to the eHRPD network is based on the data service, and the signal quality required for the VoLTE voice call is much lower than that required for the data service. When a user concurrently uses a data service and a VoLTE voice service, if the redirection threshold is set to be higher, a large amount of VoLTE calls are interrupted, and the call quality and the user experience are influenced; if the redirection threshold is set too low, the usage experience of the data service will be affected. Therefore, a new technical solution is needed to solve the above problems in the prior art.
Disclosure of Invention
The invention provides a method and a device for reducing a dropped call rate of a VoLTE service, which effectively reduce the dropped call rate of the VoLTE service by judging whether a user uses a concurrent service and starting different redirection thresholds.
According to an aspect of the present invention, there is provided a method for reducing a dropped call rate of a VoLTE service, including:
judging the use condition of the concurrent service of the user, wherein the concurrent service refers to the concurrent use of a data service and a VoLTE service;
if the user only uses the data service, a first threshold value is used as a preset threshold;
if the user uses the concurrent service, a second threshold value is started to serve as a preset threshold, wherein the second threshold value is lower than the first threshold value;
and judging whether the LTE signal value is lower than a preset threshold, if so, initiating redirection from the LTE network to the eHRPD network.

The second threshold value is lower than the first threshold value. When the user only uses the data service, the higher first threshold value can redirect the data service from the LTE network to the eHRPD network in time because the data service has a higher requirement for signal quality, thereby ensuring smooth use of the data service and user experience. When the user uses the VoLTE service and the data service concurrently, the lower second threshold value effectively reduces the call drop rate of the VoLTE service, and improves the user experience.
Fig. 3 is a schematic diagram of an embodiment of an apparatus for reducing a dropped call rate of a VoLTE service according to the present invention. As shown in fig. 3, the apparatus of the present embodiment includes:
the determining unit 301 is configured to determine a service condition of a concurrent service of a user, where the concurrent service refers to concurrent use of a data service and a VoLTE service.
The threshold setting unit 302 is configured to enable a first threshold value as a predetermined threshold if the user only uses the data service; and if the user uses the concurrent service, enabling a second threshold value as a preset threshold, wherein the second threshold value is lower than the first threshold value which is enabled when only the data service is used.
Preferably, the threshold setting unit 302 is further configured to set a second threshold value if the user uses the concurrent service.
The redirection unit 303 is configured to determine whether the LTE signal value is lower than a predetermined threshold, and if so, initiate redirection from the LTE network to the eHRPD network.
The apparatus for reducing the dropped call rate of the VoLTE service in this embodiment may be a base station device such as an eNB (Evolved Node B). When the LTE network coverage area is smaller than the eHRPD network coverage area, the user initiates a service in the LTE network and moves to the LTE network boundary or the area with poor coverage, and at this time, the determining unit 301 determines whether the user uses a concurrent service. If the user only uses the data service, a first threshold value is used as a preset threshold; and if the user concurrently uses the data service and the VoLTE service, enabling the second threshold value as a preset threshold. When the user only uses the data service, the higher first threshold value can redirect the data service from the LTE network to the eHRPD network in time because the data service has a higher requirement for signal quality, thereby ensuring smooth use of the data service and user experience. When the user uses the VoLTE service and the data service concurrently, the redirection unit 403 determines whether the LTE signal value is lower than a predetermined threshold, and if so, initiates redirection from the LTE network to the eHRPD network. The lower second threshold value effectively reduces the call drop rate of the VoLTE service and improves the user experience.
