A developing cartridge detachably mountable to an image forming apparatus, the image forming apparatus including a door cover provided with a metal contact and an inner wall, the developing cartridge comprising: a casing having developer stored therein; a driving force receiving unit provided at one side of the housing; a power receiving unit disposed at the other side of the housing; and the storage unit is mounted on the shell and comprises a plurality of terminals, wherein the plurality of terminals comprise grounding terminals which are grounded through being contacted with the inner wall of the imaging device, so that the problem that the storage unit is damaged due to the electrostatic action in the imaging device due to poor contact between the grounding terminals and a metal contact on the door cover of the imaging device in the prior art is solved.

The present invention relates to a developing cartridge having a storage unit.
Background
An electrophotographic image forming apparatus is an image forming apparatus that forms a visible image on a recording medium by an electrophotographic image forming principle, and includes an electrophotographic copying machine, an electrophotographic printer, an LED printer, and the like.
Specifically, the electrophotographic image forming apparatus forms a desired image according to the following procedure. First, the surface of the photoconductive medium is charged to a predetermined potential. A laser beam is projected onto a surface of the photoconductive medium to form an electrostatic latent image. A visible image is obtained by supplying a developer to the electrostatic latent image. Next, the visible developer image developed on the photoconductive medium is transferred to the printing medium directly or through an intermediate transfer medium, and then fixed to the printing medium through a fixing process.
During the above-described process, the developing cartridge of the image forming apparatus forms a visible image on the surface of the photoconductive medium by supplying a developer to the photoconductive medium. Generally, the developing cartridge is configured as an integral cartridge including a developer storage unit, a charging unit, a developing unit, and a cleaning unit, and is detachably mounted to a main body of the image forming apparatus. Since the life of the developing cartridge is limited, it must be replaced when the developing cartridge is used up. For this reason, the user must know various information about the developing cartridge listed below.
The developer cartridge is provided with a storage unit that stores various information about its operation. The information stored in the storage unit may include the remaining amount of the developer and the remaining life of the constituent parts. The storage unit includes a terminal at one side thereof, and the main body of the image forming apparatus includes a terminal corresponding to the terminal of the storage unit, and the storage unit terminal may be electrically connected to the image forming apparatus terminal after the developing cartridge is mounted on the image forming apparatus. In this way, in a state in which the developing device is electrically connected to the main body of the image forming apparatus, the image forming apparatus recognizes information stored in the storage unit, displays the information for the user, or performs any desired operation using the information, and transfers the operation result to the storage unit, thereby updating the information in the storage unit.
As shown in fig. 1 to 3, chinese patent CN101387859B discloses an image forming apparatus and a developing cartridge, the image forming apparatus 1 includes a plurality of developing cartridges (100 y,100m,100c,100 k), a door cover 11 openable or closable, and a plurality of metal contacts 13 provided on the door cover 11. Describing the developing cartridge 100K as an example, the developing cartridge 100K includes: a casing 110 having a developer stored therein; and a storage unit 180 at a rear end 101 of the housing 110 with respect to a direction a in which the developing cartridge 100K is loaded into the image forming apparatus 1, wherein the storage unit 180 is provided with a plurality of terminals 181 coupled to the metal contacts 13 of the door cover 11, and the terminals 181 of the developing cartridge storage unit 180 are brought into contact with the metal contacts 13 of the image forming apparatus 1 during operation of the image forming apparatus 1, thereby achieving information exchange between the developing cartridge and the image forming apparatus 1 and ensuring normal operation of the image forming apparatus 1. The memory cell 180 includes a plurality of terminals 181, wherein a ground terminal 181b is included in the plurality of terminals 181 for grounding the memory cell 180. Since the door cover 11 of the image forming apparatus 1 needs to be frequently opened and closed when the user operates the image forming apparatus 1, the door cover 11 is easily loosened, so that the assembly between the door cover 11 and the image forming apparatus 1 is not tight, the contact failure between the metal contact 13 of the door cover 11 and the grounding terminal 181b on the storage unit 180 closer to the driving end is easily caused when the door cover 11 is closed, and when the contact failure between the grounding terminal 181b on the storage unit 180 and the corresponding metal contact 13 of the door cover 11 occurs, in addition to the case that the developing cartridge is not recognized by the image forming apparatus 1, the case that the storage unit 180 is damaged by static electricity in the image forming apparatus 1 due to the untimely grounding of the storage unit 180 may occur.
Disclosure of Invention
In order to solve the problems in the prior art, the invention is realized by adopting the following technical scheme:
a developing cartridge detachably mountable to an image forming apparatus, the image forming apparatus including an inner wall and a door having a metal contact, the developing cartridge comprising:
a casing having developer stored therein;
a driving force receiving unit provided at one side of the housing for receiving a driving force from the image forming apparatus;
a power receiving unit provided at the other side of the housing for receiving power from the image forming apparatus;
a memory cell including a plurality of terminals,
the plurality of terminals include a ground terminal that is not electrically connected to the metal contact of the door cover to ground the memory cell, but is electrically connected to the inner wall of the image forming apparatus to ground the memory cell.
The developing cartridge further includes a first conductive member connecting the ground terminal and an inner wall of the image forming apparatus, the first conductive member being in elastic contact with the inner wall of the image forming apparatus.
The storage unit is closer to the power receiving unit than the driving force receiving unit.
The developing cartridge further includes an intermediate connection member through which other terminals than the ground terminal in the storage unit are electrically connected to the metal contact.
The intermediate connector includes a conductive portion and a non-conductive portion.
The storage unit is closer to the driving force receiving unit than the power receiving unit.
The developing cartridge further includes a second conductive member that can connect other terminals in the memory cell than the ground terminal and the metal contact.
The developing cartridge further includes an intermediate connector through which the second conductive member is electrically connected to the metal contact.
The intermediate connector includes a conductive portion and a non-conductive portion.
Because the grounding terminal in the storage unit is grounded through the elastic contact between the first conductive member and the inner wall of the imaging device in the process of mounting the developing cartridge to the imaging device, and the grounding terminal in the storage unit is connected with the imaging device earlier than other terminals on the storage unit, the situation that the door cover of the imaging device is loosened in the long-term opening and closing process, the grounding terminal in the storage unit is in poor contact with a metal contact on the imaging device, and the situation that the storage unit 180 is damaged by static electricity in the imaging device 1 due to untimely grounding of the storage unit is avoided.

Detailed Description
In order to make the technical solution and the technical effects of the embodiments of the present invention more clear, the technical solution of the developing cartridge of the present invention will be clearly and completely described with reference to the accompanying drawings. It is apparent that the described embodiment is only one preferred embodiment of the present invention, but not all embodiments, and that other embodiments, which are obtained by those skilled in the art without inventive effort, are within the scope of the present invention based on the embodiments of the present invention.
Example 1
As shown in fig. 4 to 7, the developing cartridge includes: a casing 210 having a developer stored therein; a driving force receiving unit 220 provided at one side of the housing 210 for providing a driving force to the developing cartridge 200; a power receiving unit 230 provided at the other side of the housing 210 for supplying power to the developing cartridge; a storage unit 260 closer to the power receiving unit 230 than the driving force receiving unit 220, the storage unit 260 including a plurality of terminals 261, a ground terminal 261a included in the plurality of terminals 261; and a first conductive member 270, one end of the first conductive member 270 being connected to the ground terminal 261a of the memory unit 260, and the other end being in contact with the inner wall 15 of the image forming apparatus 1 to ground the ground terminal 261 a. The first conductive member 270 includes an elastic conductive member 271, at least a portion of which is exposed outside the casing 210 and protrudes outside the casing 210 from a side of the developing cartridge 220 where the driving force receiving unit 220 is provided, which may further facilitate stable contact between the first conductive member 270 and the inner wall 15 of the image forming apparatus 1. During the mounting of the developing cartridge to the image forming apparatus 1, the elastic conductive member 271 elastically contacts the metal member 151 of the inner wall 15 of the image forming apparatus and is pressed by the inner wall 15 of the image forming apparatus (as shown in fig. 7), so that the ground terminal 261a of the storage unit 260 can be electrically connected to the image forming apparatus 1 earlier than other terminals than the ground terminal 261 a. When the door cover 11 of the image forming apparatus is closed, the other terminals of the storage unit 260 than the ground terminal 261a are in contact with the metal contact 13 on the door cover 11, so that information exchange between the developing cartridge and the image forming apparatus is realized.
In the first embodiment of the present invention, the grounding terminal 261a in the storage unit 260 does not contact with the metal contact of the door cover 11 of the imaging device to ground the storage unit 260, but the storage unit 260 is grounded through the elastic contact between the elastic conductive member 271 of the first conductive member 270 and the metal member 151 in the inner wall 15 of the imaging device during the process of mounting the developing cartridge on the imaging device, and the grounding terminal 261a in the storage unit 260 is electrically connected with the imaging device earlier than other terminals on the storage unit, so that the door cover 11 of the imaging device is prevented from loosening during the long-term opening and closing process, the poor contact between the grounding terminal 261a in the storage unit and the metal contact 13 on the imaging device is prevented, and the situation that the storage unit 260 is damaged by static electricity in the imaging device 1 due to the untimely grounding of the storage unit 260 is prevented.
As shown in fig. 8, in order to better avoid the storage unit 260 from being contaminated by dust or flying developer in the image forming apparatus, the developing cartridge according to the first embodiment of the present invention may further include an intermediate connector 250, wherein the intermediate connector 250 includes a conductive portion 251 and a non-conductive portion 252, and the conductive portion 251 may be integrally injection molded with the non-conductive portion 252, or may be separately designed from the non-conductive portion 252. The other terminals of the storage unit 260 except the ground terminal 261a are electrically connected to the metal contacts 13 on the door cover 11 through the conductive portion 251 of the intermediate connector 250, and since the storage unit 260 is shielded by the intermediate connector 250, the intermediate connector 250 can prevent the storage unit 260 from being contaminated by dust or flying developer in the image forming apparatus, ensuring that the other terminals of the storage unit 260 except the ground terminal 261a are electrically connected to the metal contacts 13 on the door cover 11 with good stability.
Example two
Fig. 9 is a schematic structural view of a developing cartridge according to a second embodiment of the present invention; FIG. 10 is a partially exploded view of a second developer cartridge according to an embodiment of the invention; fig. 11 is a schematic diagram of the second embodiment of the present invention, in which the first conductive member 470 and the second conductive member 480 are mated with the memory cell 460. The basic structure of the developing cartridge according to the second embodiment of the present invention is substantially the same as that of the developing cartridge according to the first embodiment, and will not be described here.
As shown in fig. 9 to 11, in order to make the grounding of the storage unit 460 more stable, in the second embodiment, the storage unit 460 is closer to the driving force receiving unit 420 than the power receiving unit 430, and the design makes the length of the first conductive member 470 shorter, so that the influence of vibration of the developing cartridge on the grounding stability of the storage unit 460 during operation can be maximally avoided. In the second embodiment, the developing cartridge is provided with a plurality of elastic elements 490, the first conductive member 470 and the second conductive member 480, the plurality of elastic elements 490 can conduct electricity, the plurality of elastic elements 490 establish an electrical connection between the second conductive member 480 and the storage unit 460, the plurality of elastic elements 490 respectively contact the plurality of terminals 461 on the storage unit, and in the second embodiment, the plurality of elastic elements 490 are provided as compression springs, so that the storage unit 460 contacts the second conductive member 480 more stably. In the second embodiment of the present invention, the first conductive member 470 is configured as an elastic conductive element, and the first conductive member 470 may be configured to be integrally formed with one elastic element 490 of the plurality of elastic elements 490, which contacts the ground terminal 461 a. At least a portion of the first conductive member 470 is exposed outside the casing 410 and protrudes outside the casing 410 from an end of the developing cartridge where the driving force receiving unit 420 is provided, and when the developing cartridge is mounted to the image forming apparatus, the first conductive member 470 comes into elastic contact with an inner wall of the image forming apparatus to perform a grounding function; the second conductive member 480 is connected to the metal contact 13 on the door cover 11 and other terminals of the memory unit 460 except the ground terminal 461a, and in the second embodiment of the present invention, the material of the second conductive member 480 may be other conductive materials such as a conductive sheet or a conductive wire. When the developing cartridge is mounted to the image forming apparatus, the first conductive member 470 elastically contacts the metal member of the inner wall 15 of the image forming apparatus and is pressed by the inner wall 15 of the image forming apparatus (refer to fig. 7), so that the ground terminal 461a of the storage unit 460 is electrically connected to the image forming apparatus earlier than the other terminals of the storage unit 460 except the ground terminal 461a, and the other terminals of the storage unit 460 except the ground terminal 461a are electrically connected to the metal contact 13 of the door cover 11 through the second conductive member 480, thereby achieving information exchange between the developing cartridge and the image forming apparatus 1.

Claims (8)

1. A developing cartridge detachably mountable to an image forming apparatus, the image forming apparatus including an inner wall and a door having a metal contact, the developing cartridge comprising:
a casing having developer stored therein;
a driving force receiving unit provided at one side of the housing for receiving a driving force from the image forming apparatus;
a power receiving unit provided at the other side of the housing for receiving power from the image forming apparatus;
a memory unit including a plurality of terminals,
wherein the plurality of terminals include a ground terminal that is not electrically connected to the metal contact of the door cover to ground the storage unit, but is electrically connected to the image forming apparatus inner wall to ground the storage unit, and the developing cartridge further includes a first conductive member that connects the ground terminal and the image forming apparatus inner wall, the first conductive member being in elastic contact with the image forming apparatus inner wall.
2. A developing cartridge according to claim 1, wherein said storage unit is closer to said power receiving unit than said driving force receiving unit.
3. The developing cartridge according to claim 2, further comprising an intermediate connection member through which other terminals than the ground terminal in the storage unit are electrically connected to the metal contact.
4. A developing cartridge according to claim 3, wherein said intermediate connecting member includes a conductive portion and a nonconductive portion.
5. A developing cartridge according to claim 1, wherein said storage unit is closer to said driving force receiving unit than said power receiving unit.
6. The developing cartridge according to claim 5, further comprising a second conductive member that can connect the metal contact and other terminals of the memory unit than the ground terminal.
7. The developing cartridge according to claim 6, further comprising an intermediate connector through which the second conductive member is electrically connected to the metal contact.
8. The developing cartridge according to claim 7, wherein the intermediate connection member includes a conductive portion and a nonconductive portion.
