Detailed Description
The present invention now will be described more fully hereinafter with reference to the accompanying drawings, in which exemplary embodiments of the invention are shown.
The invention provides a party which can initiate to establish LTE PCC (Policy control and Charging) session by PCRF (Policy and Charging rules function), thereby realizing functions of subsequent QoS management and control and the like. Fig. 1 shows a flow chart of a method for establishing an LTE PCC session according to one embodiment of the invention. As shown in fig. 1, the method mainly includes:
step 100, after receiving the session request, the PCRF unit extracts a user IP (internet protocol) address from the session request.
In one implementation, the PCRF pre-stores user IP address pool information configured by each PGW, where the address pool may specifically include an IP address range of each address pool and an Rx interface IP address of a corresponding PGW.
In one embodiment, the session request may be a request for QoS adjustment sent by an AF (Application Function) unit or sent by another network element, and the QoS adjustment request may further include QoS information.
In one embodiment, the session request may also be a location acquisition request message sent by other network elements.
Step 102, the PCRF queries a PGW corresponding to the user IP address.
In one embodiment, the step of querying the PGW corresponding to the IP address of the user may include: judging whether a PGW corresponding to the IP address of the user exists or not; if the PGW corresponding to the user IP address exists, a step of acquiring user subscription information associated with the user IP address from the PGW is executed; and if the PGW corresponding to the user IP address does not exist, sending an LTE PCC session establishment failure message to the application function unit.
For example, after receiving a session request sent by the AF, the PCRF searches for a corresponding PGW (Public Data Network Gateway) according to an IP address of a user, for example, when the PCRF is to initiate an LTE PCC session for a certain user, the PCRF searches for an IP address of the PGW corresponding to the user according to the IP address of the user.
Step 104, the PCRF acquires user subscription information associated with the user IP address from the PGW;
in one embodiment, this step may include sending a query request to the PGW, where the query request includes the user IP address, so that the PGW queries the user subscription information associated with the user IP address; after receiving a query response sent by the PGW, judging whether the PGW queries user subscription information associated with the user IP address according to the query response; and if the PGW inquires the user subscription information associated with the user IP address, after receiving the credit control request information sent by the PGW, extracting the user subscription information associated with the user IP address from the credit control request information.
In a specific embodiment, if the PGW does not query the user subscription information associated with the user IP address, the LTE PCC session establishment failure message is sent to the application function unit AF.
In one specific embodiment, the subscription information includes IMSI and related session information of the subscriber.
And step 106, the PCRF generates a corresponding PCC rule according to the user subscription information.
Step 108, PCRF sends PCC rule to PGW, so that PGW executes PCC rule.
The invention provides a method for establishing LTE PCC conversation initiated by PCRF based on user IP address, aiming at the problem that the LTE PCC conversation can not be established again by the follow-up user in the service process when the current LTE user is initially accessed, if the LTE PCC conversation is not established by the follow-up user, a user address pool corresponding to each PGW is stored by PCRF, when the PCRF initiates the LTEPCC conversation establishment to a certain user according to the requirement, the corresponding PGW is searched according to the IP address of the user, then the LTE PCC conversation is initiated to the PGW, wherein the LTE PCC conversation is carried with the IP address of the user, the corresponding IMSI and the context information of the user are searched according to the IP address after the PGW receives the request, and the relevant information is sent to PCRF to complete the establishment of the LTE PCC conversation, thus, the user can establish the LTE PCC conversation for the user based on the network side without disconnecting the network element, and the user can dynamically adjust the QoS in real time, and the position information of the user can be obtained in time, and the time delay of the user for obtaining the QoS dynamic adjustment service or the position information service is reduced.
Fig. 2 shows a flow diagram of a method for establishing an LTE PCC session according to another embodiment of the invention. As shown in fig. 2, the method mainly includes:
step 201, the PCRF prestores the IP address pool information of each PGW and the Gx interface IP address with each PGW.
Specifically, the PCRF prestores user IP address pool information configured by each PGW, which may specifically include an IP address range of each address pool and an Rx interface IP address of a corresponding PGW.
In step 202, when an LTE user initially accesses an EPC (Evolved Packet Core) network, an LTE PCC session is not established for the user.
Step 203, the AF sends a session request to the PCRF, where the session request may be a request for adjusting QoS of a user, and the session request carries an IP address of the user.
In one embodiment, the session request may be a QoS adjustment request, a geographic location acquisition request, or the like. It should be noted that, although the AF sends the session request for adjusting the QoS of the user, the geographic location obtaining request, and the like to the PCRF for illustration, those skilled in the art will understand that the present invention is not limited thereto, and the session request may also be a session request sent by another network element.
And step 204, the PCRF queries the corresponding PGW according to the IP address of the user.
In one embodiment, when the PCRF fails to find the corresponding PGW according to the user IP address information, the LTE PCC session establishment fails.
Step 205, the PCRF sends an RAR (Re-Auth Request) message to the PGW, requesting to establish the LTE PCC session, where the RAR message carries the IP address of the user.
In step 206, the PGW searches for the IMSI and the relevant session information of the user according to the IP address of the user.
Specifically, the PGW searches for the IMSI of the user and session information thereof according to the IP address of the user, and sends a response message to the PCRF after finding the user information, where the response message carries the IMSI of the user and the related session information, to complete the LTE PCC session establishment; and when the PGW fails to find the IMSI and the related session information of the user according to the IP address of the user, the LTE PCC session is failed to be established.
Step 207, the PGW returns an RAA (Re-Auth Answer) message to the PCRF.
Step 208, the PGW sends a CCR (Credit Control Request) message to the PCRF, where the message carries the IMSI of the user and the relevant session information.
And step 209, the PCRF generates a PCC rule according to the subscription information of the user. In one embodiment, the subscriber subscription information includes the IMSI and related session information of the subscriber.
Step 210, the PCRF returns a CCA (Credit Control Answer) message, which carries the PCC rule, until the LTE PCC session establishment of the user is completed.
In step 211, the PCRF sends a session response to the AF.
Specifically, if the request sent by the AF is a QoS adjustment request, the session response includes QoS adjustment information.
The invention provides a method for establishing an LTE PCC conversation initiated by a PCRF based on a user IP address, which can enable an EPC user to establish the LTE PCC conversation for the user based on a network element at a network side without going off the line, enable the user to dynamically adjust QoS in real time, and also can timely obtain the position information of the user, thereby reducing the time delay for the user to obtain services such as QoS dynamic adjustment and the like.
