Description

Refrigerator with door
[ technical field ]
The present invention relates to a refrigerator, and more particularly, to a refrigerator having a door.
[ background art ]
CN1099570C discloses a refrigerator door comprising an outer door panel having both longitudinal sides bent to form a substantially U-shaped cross section, flange portions formed at upper and lower portions of the outer door panel and inserted into receiving grooves of upper and lower end caps, and an insulating material injection-molded after the upper and lower end caps are mounted.
[ summary of the invention ]
It is an object of the present invention to provide an improved refrigerator.
One aspect of the present invention relates to a refrigerator. The refrigerator comprises a door, wherein the door comprises a front plate made of a metal thin plate, an inner plate opposite to the front plate and a pair of transverse side covers extending transversely.
Thus, since the longitudinal side covers are provided, the left and right sides of the front plate made of a metal thin plate may not be bent backward to form the side surfaces of the door, which is not only advantageous to reduce the structural complexity of the front plate, but also advantageous to avoid manufacturing errors caused by bending backward at the two sides of the front plate in the prior art. Further, since the longitudinal side cover can be connected with the lateral side cover and the door panel in the lateral direction of the door, both left and right end surfaces of the door panel can be disposed toward the longitudinal side cover, which is further advantageous to simplify the construction of the front panel. It can be seen that doors are easier to manufacture according to embodiments of the present invention.
In one embodiment, each longitudinal side cover includes a base plate portion extending in a vertical direction and a lateral plate connected to the base plate portion and protruding toward the other longitudinal side cover, the lateral plate and one lateral side cover together forming an upper end face of the frame-shaped structure. It will be appreciated that the upper end face of the frame-shaped structure may be formed by one plane or by a plurality of planes located at different heights.
One aspect of the present invention relates to a refrigerator. Refrigerator, including the door, the door includes the front bezel, the inner panel opposite to front bezel, a pair of longitudinal side covers extending in the vertical direction and a pair of lateral side covers extending transversely, lateral side cover and longitudinal side cover connect and form the frame structure, each longitudinal side cover includes the base plate portion that extends in the vertical direction, characterized by, at least one longitudinal side cover includes being connected with the base plate portion and towards the horizontal terminal surface of another longitudinal side cover protruding, horizontal plate and corresponding lateral side cover form the horizontal terminal surface of frame structure together.
Thus, the connecting seam of the longitudinal side cover and the transverse side cover can be positioned on the horizontal end surface, but not on the longitudinal side surface which is more easily seen by a user, thereby being beneficial to improving the texture of the door.
It will be appreciated that the above-mentioned "horizontal end faces" may comprise the upper end face and/or the lower end face of the frame-shaped structure. The horizontal end faces may be flat, i.e. the end faces lie in the same horizontal plane; alternatively, the horizontal end surface may have at least two planes lying on different horizontal planes, for example the frame-shaped structure may have a recess so that a step is formed between the planes at different heights.
The above-mentioned "horizontal end faces of the frame-shaped structure formed by the transverse plate and the corresponding lateral side covers" may be upper end faces and/or lower end faces of the longitudinal side covers provided with the transverse plate and forming the frame-shaped structure with the corresponding lateral side covers. For example, in one embodiment, the upper and lower ends of the longitudinal side covers are provided with transverse plates, respectively, each transverse plate forming an upper or lower end face of the frame-shaped structure with the corresponding lateral side cover, respectively; in an alternative embodiment, the longitudinal side covers are provided at their upper or lower ends with transverse plates which, together with the corresponding transverse side covers, form the upper or lower end faces of the frame-shaped structure.
In one embodiment, the first connecting portion includes at least one insert post extending in a lateral direction of the door, and the second connecting portion includes a receiving portion to receive the insert post. Thus, the insert pillar extending toward the inside of the door can be received in the door, and thus the insert pillar and the receiving portion can be provided in such a manner as not to affect the appearance of the door.
In one embodiment, a snap connection structure is further included to snap connect the longitudinal side covers and the lateral side covers. This is advantageous in increasing the connection stability of the longitudinal side covers and the lateral side covers.
In one embodiment, each longitudinal side cover includes a first slot open toward the other longitudinal side cover, a side edge of the front plate being inserted into the first slot. In this way, the end faces of the side edges of the front plate may face the respective first slots and be connected with the longitudinal side covers. That is, the left and right side edges of the front panel may not have to be bent back, which is advantageous in simplifying the manufacturing process of the front panel, which is more obvious when the front panel is a sheet metal part.
In one embodiment, the upper and/or lower end of the front plate has a flange bent backward, and the upper and/or lower end of each first slot extends backward and receives both ends of the flange. This is particularly advantageous for preventing leakage of the insulating material from between the longitudinal side covers and the front panel during the foaming process.
In one embodiment, the front panel has rearwardly bent flanges at upper and lower ends thereof, and each lateral side cover has a second slot for receiving the flanges. This is advantageous not only for the front panel to be positioned at the lateral side covers, but also for preventing the thermal insulation material from leaking between the lateral side covers and the front panel during the foaming process
In one embodiment, each longitudinal side cover includes a tab projecting toward the other longitudinal side cover, the tab covering a respective end of the flap exposed out of the second slot. Thus, since the front panel can be attached to the lateral side covers before the longitudinal side covers are attached to the lateral side covers, the length of the second slot being less than the width of the front panel facilitates the attachment of the front panel to the second slot and the exposed end is ultimately still covered by the longitudinal side covers.
In one embodiment, the distal end face of the upper slot wall of the second slot is in face-to-face abutment with the distal end face of the tab, and the top surface of the upper slot wall and the top surface of the tab are at least substantially flush. By "the top surface of the upper slot wall and the top surface of the tab are at least substantially flush" is meant both "the top surface of the upper slot wall and the top surface of the tab are substantially flush" and "the top surface of the upper slot wall and the top surface of the tab are flush".
In one embodiment, the upper end of the door has a recess for mounting a hinge, the cross plate and the longitudinal side covers together forming the recess.
In one embodiment, a decorative cover is included to cover the recess, the decorative cover being secured to the lateral side cover and the longitudinal side cover.
In one embodiment, the upper end of the base plate portion has an extension extending upwardly beyond the cross plate, the distal end of the extension being flush with or beyond the top surface of the door.
In one embodiment, the extension portion has a fixing portion for fixing a decorative cover connected to the lateral side cover.
The construction of the present invention and other objects and advantages thereof will be more apparent from the following description of the preferred embodiments taken in conjunction with the accompanying drawings.

[ detailed description of the invention ]
Referring to fig. 1, a door 100 is used to be connected to a cabinet (not shown) of a refrigerator (not shown) to close at least one portion of a storage compartment or at least one storage compartment inside the cabinet. The invention can be applied to various types of refrigerators such as single-door refrigerators, two-door refrigerators, three-door refrigerators, multi-door refrigerators or side-by-side combination refrigerators.
In this embodiment, the door 100 may be pivotally attached to the housing, and in an alternative embodiment, the door may be slidably attached to the housing.
As shown in fig. 1, 2 and 7, the door 100 includes a front panel 1, an inner panel 2 opposed to and spaced apart from the front panel 1, a pair of longitudinal side covers 3L, 3R attached to longitudinal sides (left and right sides) of the front panel 1 and the inner panel 2, and a pair of lateral side covers 4U, 4L attached to lateral sides (upper and lower sides) of the front panel 1 and the rear panel 2. The longitudinal side covers 3L, 3R extend in the vertical direction, and the lateral side covers 4U, 4L extend in the lateral direction of the door 100.
The front plate 1, the rear plate 2, the longitudinal side covers 3L, 3R and the lateral side covers 4U, 4L together enclose an insulating space. In one embodiment, the insulation space is filled with an insulation material 101 (see fig. 7), and the insulation material 101 may be formed by foaming a foaming agent injected into the door 100 during a foaming process of the door 100.
When the door 100 is in the closed position, the inner panel 2 faces the storage chamber of the cabinet. The inner panel 2 may be made of resin.
In the present embodiment, the front panel 1 is formed of a metal sheet, and preferably the front panel 1 is a sheet metal member. The upper and lower portions of the front panel 1 are bent rearward to form an upper flange 11 and a lower flange 12, respectively. The left and right edges of the front plate 1 are not bent rearward, so that the left and right end faces of the front plate 1 face the respective longitudinal side covers 3L, 3R, respectively. Thus, the front plate 1 has an elongated and straight cross section.
As shown in fig. 2 to 4, the pair of longitudinal side covers 3L, 3R may have a symmetrical structure with respect to the longitudinal center axis of the door 100, and for the sake of simplicity, the structure thereof will be described in detail below by taking the longitudinal side cover 3L as an example, wherein the reference numerals for the longitudinal side cover 3L are also applied to the longitudinal side cover 3R.
The longitudinal side cover 3L includes a base plate portion 30 forming a longitudinal side surface of the door 100. The base plate portion 30 may have a step to form a handle portion 34, and a user may open and close the door 100 by grasping the handle portion 34.
The longitudinal side covers 3L include first slots 31 opened toward the other longitudinal side cover 3R to receive the left/right side edges of the front plate 1.
Each lateral side cover 4U, 4L has a second slot 40 open towards the front to receive the upper and lower flanges 11, 12, respectively, of the front panel 1.
As shown in fig. 3 and 4, an insertion structure to be inserted in the lateral direction of the door 100 is formed between the longitudinal side covers 3L, 3R and 4U, 4L. Specifically, each of the longitudinal side covers 3L, 3R includes at least one first connecting portion 51, 52, and each of the lateral side covers 4U, 4L includes a second connecting portion 61, 62 to form a plug connection with the corresponding first connecting portion 51, 52 in the lateral direction of the door.
In the present embodiment, the first connecting portions 51, 52 include insert posts extending in the lateral direction of the door 100, and the second connecting portions 61, 62 include receiving portions to receive the respective insert posts. The insert posts may be inserted into the corresponding receiving portions in the lateral direction of the door 100. In the present embodiment, the receiving portion is a receiving groove.
It will be appreciated that in an alternative embodiment, each longitudinal side cover 3L, 3R may include at least one receiving portion, while the lateral side covers 4U, 4L form posts. In another alternative embodiment, the longitudinal side covers and the lateral side covers each form at least one insert post for insertion into a receptacle formed in an adjacent side cover.
In assembly, first, the upper and lower flanges 11, 12 of the front panel 1 are inserted into the corresponding second slots 40 to couple the pair of lateral side covers 4U, 4L to the upper and lower ends of the front panel 1.
In order to better position the front plate 1 and the lateral side covers 4U, 4L, a positioning structure may be provided between the second slot 40 and the front plate 1. In one embodiment, the upper and lower flanges 11 and 12 have a protrusion 13 protruding rearward, respectively, and accordingly, the second slot 40 includes a stopper groove section 401 corresponding to the protrusion 13. When the upper and lower flanges 11 and 12 are inserted into the corresponding second slots 40, respectively, the protrusions 13 are inserted into the limiting groove sections 401, and the step portions 131 at both ends of the protrusions 13 abut against the corresponding end walls of the limiting groove sections 401, whereby the front plate 1 is positioned in the lateral and vertical directions of the door 100 after being coupled with the pair of lateral side covers 4U, 4L. In the present embodiment, the stopper groove section 401 is located in the middle of the lateral side covers 4U, 4L and has a predetermined length in the lateral direction.
Then, a pair of longitudinal side covers 3L, 3R are attached to the respective sides of the front plate 1 and the lateral side covers 4U, 4L. In this step, the left and right side edges of the front panel 1 are inserted into the respective first slots 31. Meanwhile, the first connecting portions 51, 52 are inserted into the corresponding second connecting portions 61, 62 along the lateral direction of the front plate 1 (i.e., the longitudinal direction of the lateral side covers 4U, 4L).
For better fixing the longitudinal side covers 3L, 3R and the lateral side covers 4U, 4L, the longitudinal side covers 3L, 3R and the lateral side covers 4U, 4L further include snap-fit connection structures for snap-fit connection of the two. For example, the longitudinal side covers 3L, 3R form hooks 33, and the lateral side covers 4U, 4L form slots (not shown) that engage with the hooks 33.
Thus, the front panel 1, the longitudinal side covers 33L, 3R and the lateral side covers 44U, 4L are pre-assembled together, and the longitudinal side covers 3L, 3R and the lateral side covers 4U, 4L, which are connected end to end, form a frame-shaped structure provided along the periphery of the front panel 1. After the foaming process, the heat insulating material 101 non-detachably fixes the front panel 1, the longitudinal side covers 3L, 3R, the lateral side covers 4U, 4L and the inner panel 2 together.
In the present embodiment, as shown in fig. 3 and 5, the upper end of the first slot 31 is bent back to be adapted to receive the corresponding end of the upturn 11. Thus, both ends of the turned-up edge 11 are also inserted into the first slot 31.
Referring to fig. 2 to 4 and 6, each of the longitudinal side covers 3L, 3R includes a transverse plate 32 connected to the base plate portion 30 and protruding toward the other longitudinal side cover 3R, 3L, the transverse plate 32 extending in the transverse direction by a predetermined distance and forming one horizontal end wall of a frame-shaped structure together with the transverse side cover 4U. That is, in the lateral direction of the door 100, the length of the lateral side covers 4U connected to the lateral plate 32 is smaller than the width of the front plate 1, and the difference in the lateral dimensions of the front plate 1 and the lateral side covers 4U can be compensated by the lateral plate 32.
Since the longitudinal side covers 3L, 3R have the transverse plate 32 extending inward, the longitudinal side covers 3L, 3R and the lateral side covers 4U can be connected on one horizontal end surface, thereby facilitating reduction of the occurrence of connecting seams on the side surface exposed to the door 100 more easily visible to the user.
In the present embodiment, the transverse plate 32 is connected to the upper portion of the base plate portion 30, thereby forming the upper end face of the frame-shaped structure together with the lateral side covers 4U located above.
The upper end of the door 100 may have a recess 8 for mounting a hinge (not shown), and the transverse plate 32 of the upper lateral side cover 4U and the longitudinal side covers 3L, 3R together form the recess 8. The recess 8 may be provided with a hinge hole 81 for connecting a hinge.
As shown in fig. 1 and 6, the door 100 has a pair of recesses 8, and the hinge of the door 100 may be mounted to one of the pair of recesses 8 so that the corresponding side of the door 100 is coupled to the cabinet. The door 100 includes a trim cover 9 to cover the unused recess 8. The longitudinal side covers 3L, 3R and the lateral side covers 4U are provided with fixing portions 36, 43, respectively, for fixing the cosmetic cover 9. For example, the decorative cover 9 may be engaged/inserted with the lateral side covers 3L, 3R and the longitudinal side cover 4U, respectively.
As shown in fig. 3, 4 and 6, the upper ends of the base plate portions 30 of the longitudinal side covers 3L, 3R have extensions 35 that exceed the lateral plate 32 by a predetermined height. The height of the extension 35 may be slightly greater than or equal to the depth of the recess 8, whereby, viewed from the side, the trim cover 9 and the part of the hinge corresponding to the extension 35 may be covered by the extension 35. In this embodiment, the upper end of the extension 35 and the upper end surface of the door 100 (formed by the top surface of the main body portion 42 of the lateral side cover 4U and the top surface of the trim cover 9) are flush with or slightly higher than the upper end surface of the door 100. This is advantageous in reducing the connecting seams on the side of the door 100, which is easily seen by the user, thereby contributing to improving the tactile sensation of the door 100.
As shown in fig. 3 and 6, a decoration portion 36 for fixing the cover 9 may be provided inside the extension portion 35.
As shown in fig. 2 to 5, the width of the second slot 40 of the lateral side covers 4U is smaller than the width of the turned-up edge 11, and both ends 110 of the turned-up edge 11 are located outside the second slot 40. Each longitudinal side cover 3L, 3R comprises a tab 7 projecting towards the other longitudinal side cover 3R, 3L, the tab 7 covering a respective end 110 of the upturn 11 exposed outside the second slot 40. This arrangement is particularly advantageous for the connection of the front panel 1 to the lateral side covers 4U and the longitudinal side covers 3L, 3R.
The upper slot wall 402 of the second slot 40 has a distal end face directed towards the respective longitudinal end cap 3L, 3R, which distal end face abuts a distal end face of the corresponding tab 7 face to face, and a top face of the upper slot wall 402 and a top face of the tab 7 are at least substantially flush.
As above, the longitudinal side covers 3 and the lateral side covers 4 have first slots 31 and second slots 40, respectively, to receive the respective edges of the front plate 1. The two ends 110 of the upturn 11 are also covered by the tabs 7, so that the entire edge of the front plate 1 is completely covered by the frame-like structure formed by the longitudinal side covers 3 and the lateral side covers 4.
In another embodiment, when the lower slot wall 403 (fig. 5) of the second slot 40 extends below the tab 7, the slot on the frame-like structure formed by the connection of the lateral side covers 4U, 4L and the longitudinal side covers 3L, 3R may then form a continuous closed loop into which the edge of the front panel 1 is inserted.
The various embodiments of the individual components described in connection with fig. 1 to 7 may be combined with each other in any given way to achieve the technical effect of the invention. In addition, the present invention is not limited to the illustrated embodiments, and other means than those shown may be generally used as long as the same effects are obtained.
