Detailed Description
In order to make the contents of the present invention more comprehensible, the present invention is further described below with reference to the accompanying drawings. The invention is of course not limited to this particular embodiment, and general alternatives known to those skilled in the art are also covered by the scope of the invention.
Embodiments of the portable electronic device described herein include, but are not limited to, tablet computers, personal digital assistants, and mobile communication devices. The portable electronic device and the operating method thereof according to the present invention are described herein by taking a mobile communication device, which is a smart phone as an example.
Referring to fig. 1, the portable electronic device includes a fingerprint sensor 11, a setting module 12, an identification module 13, and a processing module 14. Certainly, the portable electronic device further includes a display screen (preferably, a touch screen), a memory, one or more processing units CPU, a speaker module, a microphone module, an input/output interface, and the like, which are not described herein again.
The fingerprint sensors of the portable electronic device are independent and are at least positioned on the front surface, the side surface and the back surface of the portable electronic device. Referring to fig. 2a and 2b, the fingerprint sensor 21-1 is located on the front surface of the portable electronic device, the fingerprint sensor 21-2 is located on the side surface of the portable electronic device, and the fingerprint sensor 21-3 is located on the back shell. In the present embodiment, the fingerprint sensor 21-1 is integrated on a physical button on the front surface of the portable electronic device, and in other embodiments, it can be integrated on the touch screen. As used herein, a "fingerprint sensor" is a sensor that can identify the fingerprint characteristics of ridges and valleys of the skin. The fingerprint sensor can adopt the optical fingerprint imaging, the ultrasonic fingerprint imaging, the active or passive capacitance fingerprint imaging and other technologies to identify the fingerprint characteristics.
The storage module 12 is used to pre-store a plurality of fingerprint input sequences. The term "fingerprint input sequence" as used herein refers to the order in which a plurality of fingerprints are input on a plurality of fingerprint sensors and may include the simultaneous and/or sequential input of a plurality of fingerprints on a plurality of fingerprint sensors. Fig. 3a to 3c show one of the fingerprint input sequences in which the user first inputs a fingerprint on the fingerprint sensor 21-1 by the thumb, then inputs a fingerprint on the fingerprint sensor 21-2 by the index finger, and finally inputs a fingerprint on the fingerprint sensor 21-3 by the middle finger in a gesture of holding the smartphone with one hand. It should be noted that the fingerprint input in the present invention may be a fingerprint sliding input or a fingerprint pressing input, and both of them can be recognized by the fingerprint sensor. According to the method, various fingerprint input combinations can be formed by inputting different fingerprints on different fingerprint sensors in different sequences, so that compared with the input of a single fingerprint on a single fingerprint sensor, the method greatly improves the complexity of fingerprint unlocking, and reduces the potential safety hazard of unexpected unlocking caused by embezzlement of the fingerprint. In addition, due to the fact that the multiple fingerprint sensors are provided, a user can define the fingerprint input sequence according to own preference and habit, select the finger for unlocking and the fingerprint sensor touched by the finger, and user experience is improved.
The setting module 13 is configured to set a corresponding relationship between each fingerprint input sequence and each function of the unlocked portable electronic device. The fingerprint input sequence in the present invention is not only used to unlock the entire portable electronic device, but also associated with unlocking various functions of the portable electronic device. That is, according to the inputted fingerprint input sequence, only part of the functions of the portable electronic device can be unlocked correspondingly, and the operation of some functions can be limited. The "function of the portable electronic device" herein covers all functions of the portable electronic device, and for the smart phone of the present embodiment, the functions include, but are not limited to, a communication function (e.g., instant messaging such as telephone calling and called, SMS, etc.), a multimedia playing function (e.g., video and audio playing), a text editing function, a camera function, an electronic payment function, and the like. Preferably, the setting module further sets a corresponding security level for each function of the portable electronic device, and correspondingly unlocks each function of the portable electronic device with the same security level and the security levels below the same security level by using one or more fingerprint input sequences. In detail, the setting module classifies various functions of the portable electronic device and sets a security level, for example, a communication function is set to a minimum security level, a common function such as multimedia playing and photographing is set to a medium security level, and a function related to electronic payment, electronic commerce and electronic banking is set to a maximum security level. One or more fingerprint input sequences may correspond to unlocking functions belonging to the same security level as well as to lower security levels. Thus, for unlocking operation of high security level functions, the user can customize complex fingerprint input sequences, and for unlocking of low security level functions, the user can customize simple fingerprint input sequences. In addition, at least two groups of fingerprint input sequences input on completely different fingerprint sensors can be customized to unlock the same function, so that even if some fingerprint sensors are in failure, another group of fingerprint input sequences can be used for unlocking the function.
The recognition module 14 is used to determine whether the fingerprint input matches a pre-stored fingerprint input sequence. Specifically, the recognition module 14 analyzes the fingerprint input received by each fingerprint sensor and compares the fingerprint input with a pre-stored fingerprint input sequence, and determines a match if the input sequence of each fingerprint on each fingerprint sensor completely matches a pre-stored fingerprint input sequence.
The processing module 15 is used for performing an unlocking or locking maintaining operation on each function of the portable electronic device according to the judgment result of the identification module 14. Specifically, when the determination result of the identification module 14 is that a certain pre-stored fingerprint input sequence is matched, the processing module 15 unlocks the function of the portable electronic device corresponding to the matched fingerprint input sequence, and if the determination result is that the fingerprint input sequence is not matched with the pre-stored fingerprint input sequence, the processing module 15 maintains the original locked state of the portable electronic device. In some embodiments of the present invention, each function of the portable electronic device is associated with an application installed therein. When certain functions cannot be unlocked according to a certain fingerprint input sequence at a set security level, the processing module 15 maintains the locked state of the functions in such a manner that the application program related to the functions is prohibited from running. Referring to fig. 4a, when the fingerprint input is detected by the recognition module 14, and the fingerprint input can only unlock the functions of the middle security level and the low security level, but cannot unlock the functions of the high security level related to electronic payment, financial transaction, and electronic banking, the processing module 15 prohibits the running of the three applications related to these functions, and preferably, the icons of the applications are displayed in gray.
In another embodiment of the present invention, if the identification module 14 determines that the fingerprint input for the user matches a pre-stored fingerprint input sequence, it will further determine whether the fingerprint input can unlock the function performed before the portable electronic device is locked. If the unlocking is not possible, the processing module 15 may display a message on the display screen prompting the user to perform the fingerprint input again while maintaining the locked state. Referring to fig. 4b, if the portable electronic device is executing the transfer function of the electronic bank with the highest security level before being locked, and the user's fingerprint input can match a certain pre-stored fingerprint input sequence but cannot unlock the function with the highest security level, the processing module 15 displays "please re-input fingerprint" on the interface before being locked while prohibiting unlocking the electronic banking application.
Fig. 5 is a flowchart illustrating an operating method of a portable electronic device according to an embodiment of the present invention, the operating method including the following steps:
step S1: pre-storing each fingerprint input sequence and setting a corresponding relation between each fingerprint input sequence and each function of the unlocking portable electronic device;
step S2: receiving, by a plurality of fingerprint sensors, a fingerprint input;
step S3: judging whether the fingerprint input matches a prestored fingerprint input sequence;
step S4: and if so, unlocking the function of the portable electronic device corresponding to the matched fingerprint input sequence.
In summary, the portable electronic device of the present invention employs a plurality of fingerprint sensors located on different surfaces, so as to meet the requirements of users with different habits and preferences, and can be unlocked at different positions of the electronic device; and a plurality of fingerprint input combinations are formed by matching with the fingerprint input sequence, so that a more complex unlocking mode is provided, and particularly, the sequence of inputting a plurality of fingerprints at a plurality of fingerprint sensors is connected with the unlocked function of the portable electronic device, so that the safety of the portable electronic device is greatly improved.
Although the present invention has been described with reference to preferred embodiments, it is to be understood that the foregoing is illustrative and not restrictive, and that various changes and modifications may be effected therein by one skilled in the art without departing from the spirit and scope of the invention as defined by the appended claims.
