技术领域
本发明涉及车辆差速器总成,并且更具体地涉及被配置成选择性地从电源断开的差速器总成。
背景技术
诸如汽车和卡车的车辆例如包括有时被俗称为驱动模块的差速器和轮轴总成。该总成通过传动轴连接至车辆发动机。传动轴将车辆发动机所产生的转动能(扭矩)传递至差速器和轮轴总成,差速器和轮轴总成继而将转动能传递至车轮。在后轮驱动车辆中,传动轴将差速器和轮轴总成直接耦接至车辆的变速器。在全轮或四轮驱动车辆中,还可以包括额外部件,例如诸如动力输出单元。
在扭矩被传递至前轮和后轮两者的全轮驱动型车辆中,有时期望将一组车轮从发动机断开以提高燃料效率和车辆性能。典型地,以使得至少一个车轮轴与差速器和轮轴总成分开的方式将断开构件耦接至前差速器总成。尽管这在从车轮去除扭矩方面是有效的,但差速器总成内的差速器传动装置继续转动。致动断开构件时差速器传动装置的转动导致齿轮搅油损失以及部件的不期望的磨损。

在运行期间,差速器总成可以被选择性地配置成传递或不传递扭矩。为了向前轮60提供扭矩,致动器90使得板86从分离位置移动到耦接位置,其中,板86压靠板88以使得在板86、88之间由于摩擦力而存在较小程度滑动或不存在滑动。板88随着板86转动,以将扭矩施加至差速器箱80并且由此施加至车轮60。当不再需要将扭矩施加至前轮60时,致动器90使得板86从板88移开以分离板86、88并且使得差速器箱80与环形齿轮76分离。
现在参照图4,示出了具有花键连接92的另一断开构件80。在该实施例中,环形齿轮76包括具有花键96的圆柱形部分94。类似地,差速器箱80包括具有花键100的圆柱形部分98。花键为凸起或键槽构件,其从圆柱形部分94、98向外延伸并且被设置成啮合相邻构件中的对应槽。当花键啮合在槽中时,这两个构件转动地耦接。在一个实施例中,花键96和花键100具有相同的形状。花键96、100可以具有任何合适的形状并且围绕圆柱形部分94、98的外周可以设置多个花键。
花键连接92进一步包括锁环102。锁环102为围绕圆柱形部分94、98的外周延伸的环形构件。锁环102能够在分离位置(图4)和耦接位置(图5)之间移动,其中,锁环102被定位成跨越差速器箱80和环形齿轮76之间的间隙104。当处于耦接位置时,差速器箱80和环形齿轮76转动地耦接。锁环102包括花键106,花键106的尺寸和形状被配置成对应于花键96、100。应理解,虽然图4和5的实施例将花键96、100示为阳型键槽而将花键106示为阴型键槽,但要求保护的本发明不应限于此且在其它实施例中可以颠倒该配置。
花键连接92还包括耦接至锁环102的致动器108。致动器108被配置成使得锁环102从分离位置(在图4中以实线示出)移动至耦接位置(在图4中以虚线示出)。应理解,虽然锁环102被示出为在处于分离位置时位于环形齿轮76上,但要求保护的本发明并不限于此。在其它实施例中,在处于分离位置时锁环102可以位于差速器箱80上。
在运行中,为了向前轮60施加扭矩,启动致动器108并且使得锁环102从分离位置移动至耦接位置。当移动到耦接位置时,锁环102的花键106与环形齿轮76的花键96和差速器箱80的花键100啮合。这样,差速器箱80和环形齿轮76变得通过锁环102而转动地锁定,并且通过相应的花键96、100、106来传递扭矩。当不再需要向前轮60施加扭矩时,致动器108使得锁环102从耦接至分离位置移动至转动地断开环形齿轮76和差速器箱80。
虽然参照示例性实施例对本发明进行了描述,但所属技术领域的技术人员将理解,在不背离本发明范围的情况下可以进行各种改变并且等同物可以有替代其元件。此外,可做出多种变型,以使得特定的情况或材料适用于本发明的教示,而不会背离本发明的实质范围。因此,本发明不限于所公开的具体实施例,而是本发明将包括所有落在本申请范围内的所有实施例。

Claims (10)

1.一种车辆差速器总成,包括:
差速器壳体;
差速器箱,其转动地耦接至所述差速器壳体;
差速器齿轮组,其转动地耦接至所述差速器箱;
环形齿轮,其转动地耦接至所述差速器箱;以及
断开构件,其可操作地耦接在所述环形齿轮和所述差速器箱之间,所述断开构件具有能够在耦接位置和分离位置之间移动的扭矩传递构件,其中,当所述扭矩传递构件处于所述耦接位置时,所述环形齿轮转动地耦接至所述差速器箱。
2.根据权利要求1所述的车辆差速器总成,其中,所述断开构件进一步包括致动器,所述致动器可操作地耦接以使得所述扭矩传递构件在所述耦接位置和所述分离位置之间移动。
3.根据权利要求2所述的车辆差速器总成,其中,所述扭矩传递构件包括可操作地耦接至所述环形齿轮的第一板和可操作地耦接至所述差速器箱的第二板,所述第一板和所述第二板之一能够在所述耦接位置与所述分离位置之间移动,当处于所述耦接位置时,所述第一板和所述第二板相互接触以在它们之间传递扭矩。
4.根据权利要求3所述的车辆差速器总成,其中,所述第一板由多个第一板组成并且所述第二板由多个第二板组成。
5.根据权利要求1所述的车辆差速器总成,其中,所述扭矩传递构件包括可操作地耦接至所述环形齿轮和所述差速器箱的环状锁环,所述锁环能够在耦接位置与分离位置之间移动,所述锁环被配置成在处于所述耦接位置时在所述环形齿轮与所述差速器箱之间传递扭矩。
6.根据权利要求5所述的车辆差速器总成,其中:
所述环形齿轮包括第一花键部;
所述差速器箱具有第二花键部;以及
所述锁环具有第三花键部,所述第三花键部的大小和形状被配置成与所述第一花键部和第二花键部耦接。
7.一种利用车辆差速器总成选择性地传递扭矩的方法,所述方法包括:
提供差速器壳体;
将差速器箱转动地耦接至所述差速器壳体;
将差速器齿轮组转动地耦接至所述差速器箱;
将环形齿轮转动地耦接至所述差速器箱;
使断开构件在耦接位置与分离位置之间移动,所述断开构件被设置在所述环形齿轮与所述差速器箱之间;
在处于所述耦接位置时,将扭矩从所述环形齿轮传递至所述差速器箱;以及
在处于所述分离位置时,停止从所述环形齿轮向所述差速器箱传递扭矩。
8.根据权利要求7所述的方法,进一步包括启动致动器以使所述断开构件在所述耦接位置与所述分离位置之间移动。
9.根据权利要求8所述的方法,其中,使所述断开构件移动的步骤包括使第一板移动成与第二板接触以在它们之间传递扭矩,所述第一板耦接至所述环形齿轮和所述差速器箱之一并且所述第二板耦接至所述环形齿轮和所述差速器箱中的另一个。
10.根据权利要求8所述的方法,其中,使所述断开构件移动的步骤包括使锁环移动,在处于所述分离位置时,所述锁环耦接至所述环形齿轮和所述差速器箱之一,并且在处于所述耦接位置时,所述锁环耦接至所述环形齿轮和所述差速器箱两者。
