优选地，所述的治疗肝气郁结型神经衰弱的中药，由以下重量份原料制成：当归17.5克、赤芍12.5克、川牛膝12.5克、黄柏7.5克、知母7.5克、党参15克、木香10克、厚朴10克、茯苓12.5克、合欢花12.5克。
上述中药的制备方法为：置于1500毫升水中，在75℃下加热回流3小时，过滤，得到滤渣和滤液；将所述滤液冷却即得。
