Abstract
The present invention relates to a printing machine roller (1). The roller comprises an upper cylinder packing (2), a lower cylinder packing (3) and a maintenance device (4) for maintaining the upper cylinder packing (2). The lower cylinder packing (3) includes a plurality of liner page papers (3.1, 3.2, 3.3) mutually overlapped. A first clamping device (7.1) is internally provided with one part of or all the liner page papers (3.1, 3.2, 3.3), and the second clamping device (7.2) is internally provided with one part of the liner page papers (3.1, 3.2, 3.3). The mode is that: the uppermost liner page paper (3.1) or few of the upper liner page papers in the liner page papers (3.1, 3.2, 3.3) are clamped in the second clamping device (7.2).
Description
Technical Field
The invention relates to a cylinder for a printing press according to the preamble of claim 1 and to a method for fixing a packing that can be carried out therewith.
Background
DE3220716a1 describes a cylinder of a printing press which comprises an upper packing, a lower packing, a holding device and a tensioning device. The holding device holds the upper packing and the tensioning device tensions the lower packing.
DE10127133a1 describes a printing press cylinder which comprises an upper packing, a lower packing, a holding device and a clamping device. The holding device holds the upper packing and the clamping device clamps one end of the lower packing, which is composed of a plurality of pad sheets.
Disclosure of Invention
The object of the invention is to provide a further printing press cylinder and a method for fixing a packing that can be carried out therewith. This object is achieved by a drum having the features of claim 1 and by a method having the features of claim 9.
The printing press cylinder according to the invention comprises:
-an upper packing which is arranged to be placed,
-a lower packing sheet,
-a holding device holding a top dressing,
wherein,
the under-wrap comprises a plurality of pad sheets, which are stacked on top of each other,
-first and second gripping means are provided, which hold the lower packing,
-clamping only a part of or the entire liner sheet in the first clamping device, and
in the second clamping device, only a partial amount of the liner sheets are clamped, in that only the uppermost liner sheet of the liner sheets or only the upper few liner sheets of the liner sheets are clamped in the second clamping device.
The method according to the invention for fixing a top cover and a bottom cover consisting of a plurality of cover sheets to a cylinder of a printing press comprises:
-holding the upper packing with holding means of the drum,
clamping only a partial quantity or the entire liner sheet with the first clamping device, and
clamping only a partial amount of the cushioning sheets with the second clamping device, wherein the latter (partial amount of the cushioning sheets) comprises the uppermost cushioning sheet of the cushioning sheets or a plurality of cushioning sheets comprising the upper side of the cushioning sheets.
The present invention is advantageous in that the liner sheets are stacked without interference. An upward bulging is avoided. The liner sheets abut against each other along the circumference of the cylinder.
The invention is characterized in that the dependent claims are dependent on one another.
A further development of the drum according to the invention comprises: the first clamping device and the second clamping device belong to a (first) tensioning device, which tensions the lower packing.
In a further refinement, the top lining is a printing plate, a glossy plate, a printing cloth or a glossy cloth.
In a further refinement, the holding device is a (second) tensioning device.
In a further refinement, the (second) tensioning device formed by the holding device has a lever and a spring which applies a tensioning force to the lever.
In a further refinement, the (first) tensioning device comprising the first clamping device and the second clamping device has a lever and a spring which applies a tensioning force to the lever.
Another improvement comprises: the first clamping device acts on the front edge of the under-wrapper and the second clamping device acts on the rear edge of the under-wrapper.
In a further refinement, the first clamping device and the second clamping device each have at least one clamping eccentric.
In a further development of the method according to the invention, the lower packing is tensioned by a tensioning device of the drum.

The sole figure partially shows the varnish mechanism of a sheet-fed printing press for offset lithographic printing. In the detail drawing, a cylinder 1 of a varnishing unit is shown, which cylinder carries a topping foil 2.
Detailed Description
The upper packing 2 may be a printing cloth for a full size varnish or a flexographic printing plate for a Spot-size varnish (Spot-Lackiering), and the upper packing 2 is located on the lower packing 3. In connection with this, the present invention is,
with reference to the drum 1, "upper" means radially more outward and "lower" means radially more inward. The lower packing 3 has a stack of a total of three liner sheets 3.1, 3.2, 3.3 in the present example, to which the uppermost liner sheet 3.1 also belongs.
The drum 1 has a tensioning channel 11, in which tensioning channel 11 there are provided: first tensioning means 7 for tensioning the lower packing 3 and holding means 4 for holding the upper packing 2. The holding device 4 is a second tensioning device and is used to tension the upper packing 2. By "tensioning" is meant that the respective packing is made taut in the circumferential direction of the cylinder 1.
The holding device 4 includes: a front edge clamping device 4.1 for clamping and fastening the front edge of the upper covering 2 and a rear edge clamping device 4.2 for clamping and fastening the rear edge of the upper covering 2. The first tensioning means 7 comprise: a first clamping device 7.1 for clamping and fastening the front edge of the lower packing 3 and a second clamping device 7.2 for clamping and fastening the rear edge of the lower packing 3. The "leading edge" refers to the edge of the respective blanket running in front in the direction of rotation 10 of the cylinder 1 during a printing run, and the "trailing edge" refers to the edge running behind.
The first clamping device 7.1 and the second clamping device 7.2 each comprise a clamping eccentric for generating the clamping force, which are not shown together in the figures.
The trailing edge clamping device 4.2 is arranged on a lever 5 which is pivoted by a spring 6, as a result of which a tensioning force exerted by the trailing edge clamping device 4.2 on the upper covering 2 is generated. The second clamping device 7.2 is arranged on a further lever 8 which is pivoted by a further spring 9, as a result of which a tensioning force exerted by the second clamping device 7.2 on the lower packing 3 is generated.
However, this tension is transmitted from the second clamping device 7.2 only to the uppermost cushioning sheet 3.1 of the lower casing 3, since only the uppermost cushioning sheet 3.1 is clamped in the second clamping device 7.2 and the underlying cushioning sheets 3.2, 3.3 are not clamped in the second clamping device 7.2. The underlying liner sheets 3.2, 3.3 have an unclamped (i.e., free) trailing edge. In contrast, in the first clamping device 7.1, all three blanket sheets 3.1, 3.2, 3.3 are clamped together.
In a modification that is not shown in the figures, the spring 9 is omitted and, therefore, instead of the first tensioning means 7, there are provided retaining means that are not tensioned and only retain the lower packing 3, to which retaining means the first clamping means 7.1 and the second clamping means 7.2 belong. This variant is identical to the embodiment shown in the figures, except for the elimination of the spring 9. In this variant, the lower casing 3 or at least the uppermost cushioning sheet 3.1 of the lower casing 3 is tensioned together by the holding device 4 when the upper casing 2 is tensioned. When the upper covering 2 is tensioned, the underside of the upper covering 2 rubs against the upper side of the lower covering 3, so that the lower covering 3 is entrained by the upper covering 2 in the tensioning direction and is tensioned. After tensioning, the rear section of the lower casing 3 projecting into the tensioning channel 11 can hang down loosely between the second clamping device 7.2 and the adjacent tensioning channel edge, without this leading to a functional impairment.

Claims (10)
1. A cylinder (1) of a printing press, comprising:
-upper packing (2)
-lower packing (3)
-a holding device (4) holding the upper packing (2),
wherein,
-the under-wrap (3) comprises a plurality of pad sheets (3.1, 3.2, 3.3) which are stacked on top of each other,
-a first clamping device (7.1) and a second clamping device (7.2) are provided, which hold the lower packing (3),
-clamping in the first clamping device (7.1) only a partial amount of the liner sheets (3.1, 3.2, 3.3) or all liner sheets, and
-clamping only a partial amount of the spacer sheets (3.1, 3.2, 3.3) in the second clamping device (7.2) in such a way that only the uppermost spacer sheet (3.1) of the spacer sheets (3.1, 3.2, 3.3) or only a small amount of the upper spacer sheets (3.1, 3.2, 3.3) are clamped in the second clamping device (7.2).
2. A drum as claimed in claim 1, characterised in that said first clamping means (7.1) and said second clamping means (7.2) belong to tensioning means (7) which tension said under-wrap (3).
3. A cylinder according to claim 1 or 2, characterized in that the upper liner (2) is a printing plate, a varnish plate, a printing cloth or a varnish cloth.
4. A drum as claimed in any one of claims 1 to 3, characterized in that the holding means (4) is a tensioning device.
5. A drum as claimed in claim 4, characterized in that the tensioning means formed by the holding means (4) have a lever (5) and a spring (6) which loads the lever (5) with a tensioning force.
6. A drum as claimed in any one of claims 2 to 5, characterised in that the tensioning device (7) comprising the first clamping device (7.1) and the second clamping device (7.2) has a lever (8) and a spring (9) which loads the lever (8) with tension.
7. A drum as claimed in any one of claims 1 to 6, characterised in that the first clamping means (7.1) acts on the front edge of the under-wrap (3) and the second clamping means (7.2) acts on the rear edge of the under-wrap (3).
8. A drum as claimed in one of claims 1 to 7, characterized in that the first clamping device (7.1) and the second clamping device (7.2) each have at least one clamping eccentric.
9. A method for fastening an upper packing (2) and a lower packing (3) on a cylinder (1) of a printing press, the lower packing comprising a plurality of packing sheets (3.1, 3.2, 3.3),
wherein,
-holding the upper packing (2) with holding means (4) of the drum (1),
-clamping only a partial amount of the liner sheets (3.1, 3.2, 3.3) or all of the liner sheets with a first clamping device (7.1) of a tensioning device (7),
-clamping only a partial amount of the padded sheets (3.1, 3.2, 3.3) with a second clamping device (7.2) of the tensioning device (7), and
-the partial quantity of liner sheets comprises the uppermost liner sheet (3.1) of the liner sheets (3.1, 3.2, 3.3) or comprises a plurality of upper liner sheets of the liner sheets (3.1, 3.2, 3.3).
10. A method as claimed in claim 9, wherein the under-wrapping (3) is tensioned with a tensioning device (7) of the drum (1).
