Background
With the popularization of computers and the development of the internet, people use networks more and more frequently, computer networks gradually become essential tools in daily life of people, and search engines provide various rich information services for users due to the rich information services, so that the search engines are widely applied to the daily life of people, and great convenience is brought to the daily production life of people.
The search engine websites are websites specially providing retrieval service on the internet, the servers of the websites collect webpage information of a large number of websites on the internet through network search software or network login and other modes, an information database and an index database are established after processing, and a user inputs search terms (query) in an interface provided by the search engine to obtain search results returned by the search engine aiming at the search terms.
However, while search engine technology is widely used, hacker behaviors against search engines are also emerging. For example, one of the characteristics of the hacking technique can be reflected by the following situations encountered in the process of using the internet by the user: when a user directly inputs a target website in an address bar of a browser to browse, a normal webpage is opened, and when a link of the target website is opened through a search result given by a search engine, the opened webpage is exactly another webpage, the content presented to the user often has a considerable difference from the target webpage, even the content is not information required by the user at all, the website of the webpage may be a website set by a hacker, and the behavior is generally called website hijacking.

Specifically, when a link which may have a security problem is identified, the browser performs detection according to an extraction rule and a security detection rule which are preset or acquired from the server, where the specific security detection rule may be a rule composed of some static features (for example, keywords included in the page content, etc.), or may also be a rule composed of some dynamic features (for example, after the page is opened, whether some JS calls and other actions are performed), and the like, which is not limited herein. The browser end can extract some links needing to be detected from the search results according to the extraction rules, then safety detection is carried out on the links needing to be detected by using the safety detection rules, and if the browser end finds that a certain link in the search results has the characteristics of a malicious website, the link which possibly has a safety problem can be identified.
In practical applications, the characteristics of a malicious website may change continuously, for example, a malicious website may be preceded by embedding a URL (Uniform Resource Locator), but then become executed by a js (javascript) call, and so on, and thus the rule for security detection is not generally fixed. In order to ensure the accuracy of detection, the security detection rule used by the browser can be updated from the server.
Of course, even if the browser side can obtain the update of the security check rule from the server side, the security check is performed on the current link by using the previously obtained rule after all, and therefore, there is a problem that the rule is more or less delayed, that is, the security check using the preset rule may be inaccurate. To this end, in other embodiments of the present invention, this may also be done by: after receiving a search result returned by a search engine server, a browser firstly carries out security detection on each link by using a preset rule, and when finding a link matched with the preset rule, the browser sends the URL of the link matched with the preset rule to a server; and maintaining a malicious website library which is updated in real time at a server end, wherein the URL of the malicious website which is discovered in real time is stored, so that the server end can be respectively matched with the URL of each website in the malicious website library after receiving the URL of each link uploaded by the browser end, if a malicious website link corresponding to the URL of a certain link exists, the website corresponding to the link is a malicious website, and if the website corresponding to the URL of the certain link does not exist in the malicious website library, the website corresponding to the link is not a malicious website. After the comparison of each link is completed, the comparison result may be returned to the browser end, and the browser end determines which links are links that may have a security problem and which are not, for example, links determined by the server as a malicious website may be identified as having a security problem according to the comparison result.

Of course, in order to avoid occupying the computing resources of the user machine, the browser end may also directly upload the linked URLs included in the search result to the server, and the server distinguishes which URLs may have security problems and which URLs do not have security problems according to the malicious website library maintained by the server.

After the browser side identifies the link which may have a security problem, a certain identifier may be added to the link, and the identifier is presented to the user in the presentation page of the search result, so that the user can judge that the link may have a certain security problem according to the identifier, and the attention of the user of the engine. Such a displayed identifier may be in the form of a word, for example, a word such as "suspected malicious" is displayed to the right of a link that may have a security problem, so that a user can intuitively understand the meaning of the word. Alternatively, such an indication may also exist in the form of an icon, for example, a pattern may be displayed to the right of a link that may have a security problem, and when the user moves a mouse over the pattern, "suspected malicious" or the like may be prompted below the pattern.
