Abstract

技术领域
电连接器(诸如便于两个设备之间的电力或数据传输的那些电连接器)通常不能承受除了与它们之间的连接正交的那些分离力之外的轴线上的分离力。诸如连接器和插座之类的部件由于部件的刚性和它们之间紧密的摩擦配合(frictionalfit)而经受潜在的损害。随着技术改进至电子设备可以如此容易地便携的点,越来越需要保护精巧连接的部件,以防止用户错误地试图分离两个设备而没有首先切断它们之间的连接的情况。连接器和插座对于非正交力的不能承受性可能容易导致部件弯曲或损坏,从而需要修理或替换。
背景技术
一些现有技术的电连接器试图通过磁性地结合连接器的端部来解决这些问题。US7056127公开了使用待被维持在传统的电连接器中的适配器,其中适配器进一步磁性地结合到连接到外部设备的线缆以及插头本体。
US4719549和US4311456避免了电连接器之间的摩擦配合,取而代之的是磁性地结合到互补的凹入插座的球形连接器。
其他现有技术的电连接器已经公开了在连接器和插座之间建立可释放的机械连接的适配器设备。US2013/0017703公开了这样的设备。
因此,期望如下的插座连接器:当从不正交于插座的轴线施加力到连接部件时,该插座连接器本身限制了在连接部件上造成的损害。

本公开提供了一种插座连接器系统,其包括保持设备和可释放插座。在一些实施例中,在保持设备和可释放插座之间提供电连接。在一些实施例中,保持设备和插座组件包括维持元件,该维持元件使得插座能够插入并维持在保持设备中,但也能够通过在任何轴线上施加的力而容易地移除。在一些实施例中,插座上包括端口,从而使得外部设备能够连接到插座,随后通过保持设备连接到印刷电路板。

具体实施方式
本文公开了一种系统,其在外部设备和印刷电路板之间提供可释放的连接。
在一个实施例中,如图1所示,系统包括保持设备1和插座2。保持设备1包括凹部6以用于将插座2容纳到保持设备1中。在一些实施例中,凹部6和插座2是互补的形状。图1描述了一个实施例,其中凹部6和插座2是互补的半球形状,但是任何互补形状的对可以适于在本公开的系统中使用。在一些实施例中,保持设备1和插座2的本体主要由塑料组成。
在一些实施例中,通过接触垫100和连接器引脚10在保持设备1和插座2之间提供电连接。在一些实施例中,接触垫100进一步电连接到印刷电路板或其他电系统(未示出)。图2示出了一实施例,其中4对接触垫100和连接器引脚10被用于在保持设备1和插座2之间提供电连接,但是其它的实施例可以提供任何合适数量的接触垫100和连接器引脚10以在外部设备和印刷电路板之间建立连接,如下文更详细讨论的那样。在一些实施例中,连接器引脚10是弹簧安装的。在一些实施例中,印刷电路板和保持设备可以布置于航空器、汽车、膝上型计算机或可以受益于具有与外部设备的连接的任何其他位置。
使用维持元件将保持设备1和插座2机械地结合在一起。在一些实施例中,使用分别被包括在插座2和保持设备1上的互补的环形结构4和5来将保持设备1和插座2机械地结合在一起。在图1中所示的示例性实施例中,凸起环5被包括在保持设备1的周边附近。凹入环4被包括在插座2的周边附近。凸起环5和凹入环4被配置为当插座2被插入到保持设备1时彼此啮合。凸起环5和凹入环4还被配置为,当啮合时,在接触垫100和连接器引脚10之间实现电接触。
如图2所示,凸起环5的位置不限于保持设备1,凹入环4的位置不限于插座2。在一些实施例中,凸起环5被包括在插座2上,凹入环4被包括在保持设备1上。凸起环5和凹入环4的位置、取向、形状和尺寸是设计选择的问题,但是在一些实施例中,凸起环5和凹入环4的位置、取向、形状和尺寸必须允许保持设备1和插座2之间的可释放的配合,如下面更详细讨论的那样。在一些实施例中,插座2和保持设备1之间的可释放的配合是通过维持夹(未示出)提供的。在一些实施例中,凸起环被安装在至少一个正偏置的弹簧(未示出)上。
如图1-3所示,端口3被包括在插座2上。在一些实施例中,端口3被布置在插座2的与保持设备1相对的表面上,以便当插座2被插入到保持设备1中时,端口3开放以容纳连接器。在一些实施例中,端口3被配置为将连接器接纳到外部设备,当所有部件被装配时,系统通过端口3从外部设备提供电连接至插座2至保持设备1至印刷电路板。在一些实施例中,端口3被配置为便于连接期望的外部设备。在一些实施例中,端口3是USB连接器、电力连接器、存储卡连接器、音频连接器、视频连接器等。在一些实施例中,端口3可与用于外部设备和印刷电路板之间的期望的连接的标准连接器兼容,例如端口3是标准USB端口,标准3.5mm音频插口等。优点是:用户将不需要系统专用适配器来将它们的外部设备连接到本公开的系统;(例如当外部设备连接到传统的膝上型计算机时)用户已经使用的连接器可以和系统一起使用。
如图3所示,在一些实施例中,突起300和槽310被包括在保持设备1和插座2上。突起300和槽310被设置为限制插座2可插入到保持设备1中的朝向。在图3所示的实施例中,突起300和槽310是互补的形状,防止插座2插入到保持设备1中,除非突起300也被容纳到槽310中。一旦插座2被插入到保持设备1中,突起300还防止插座2的旋转。
参考图4,在一些实施例中,凸起环5a和凹入环4通过摩擦配合将插座2可释放地维持在保持设备1内。在一些实施例中,凸起环5b是啮合凹部4a的分离的开口环弹簧。在一些实施例中,当足够的力从任何轴线施加在插座上时,保持设备1和插座2被分离。当施加在插座2上的力克服凸起环5和凹入环4之间的摩擦力时,插座2从保持设备1释放。在一些实施例中,从保持设备1移除插座2所需的力不足以对端口3或布置在端口3和外部设备之间的任何连接器造成损坏。例如,用户可以在其衣袋中具有外部设备,该外部设备连接到位于飞机座位扶手中的插座中的凹USB端口。当站起时,传统的连接拉紧并潜在地损害连接器、外部设备或衣服,这是因为用户提供了一个向上的力,其基本上通过连接器之间的摩擦配合而匹配。然而,当使用所公开的系统时,用户所提供的向上力将容易地克服由维持环4和5a或5b维持的可释放连接,使插座在可能对连接器、外部设备或衣服造成损坏之前脱离保持设备。在一些实施例中,需更使用工具将插座2重新装配到保持设备1中。

Claims (14)
1.一种电连接器,其特征在于:
保持设备(1),所述保持设备具有凹部(6)和布置在凹部(6)中的至少一个导电垫(100);
插座(2),所述插座(2)包括:
至少一个导电引脚(10),所述至少一个导电引脚(10)被配置为当插座(2)插入到保持设备(1)中时啮合导电垫(100)中的至少一个,以及
端口(3),所述端口(3)被配置为接纳外部设备的接口;
其中插座(2)的形状与凹部(6)的形状互补;以及
保特设备(1)具有第一维持元件(4,5;4a,5a),插座(2)具有第二维持元件(4,5;4a,5a),第一维持元件(4,5;4a,5a)和第二维持元件(4,5;4a,5a)一起被配置为能释放地维持保持设备(1)和插座(2)之间的互连。
2.根据权利要求1所述的电连接器,其特征还在于:
与导电垫(100)电连接的印刷电路板;
其中当插座(2)和保持设备(1)互连时,印刷电路板通过插座(2)与端口(3)电连接。

4.根据权利要求3所述的电连接器,其特征在于,端口(3)是凹USB连接器。
5.根据权利要求3所述的电连接器,其特征在于端口(3)是凹音频连接器。
6.根据权利要求1所述的电连接器,其特征在于
第一维持元件(4,5;4a,5a)是保持设备的周边中的凹部,并且
第二维持元件(4,5;4a,5a)是插座的周边中的互补维持环;
或者其特征在于
第一维持元件(4,5;4a,5a)是保持设备的周边中的维持环;并且
第二维持元件(4,5;4a,5a)是插座的周边中的凹部。
7.根据权利要求1所述的电连接器,其特征在于
第一维持元件(4,5;4a,5a)是保持设备中的槽,并且
第二维持元件(4,5;4a,5a)是插座上的互补突起;
或者其特征在于
第一维持元件(4,5;4a,5a)是保特设备上的突起;并且
第二维持元件(4,5;4a,5a)是插座中的互补槽;以及
其中互补突起和槽被配置为当插座(2)和保持设备(1)互连时维持保持设备(1)和插座(2)的取向。
8.一种电连接的方法,其特征在于:
设置保持设备(1),所述保持设备(1)具有凹部(6)和布置在凹部(6)中的至少一个导电垫(100);
设置插座(2),所述插座(2)包括:
至少一个导电引脚(10),被配置为当插座(2)插入到保持设备(1)中时啮合导电垫(100)中的至少一个,以及
端口(3);
其中插座(2)的形状与凹部(6)的形状互补;
将插座(2)与保持设备(1)互连;
将外部设备的接口与端口(3)互连;

第一维持元件(4,5;4a,5a)是保持设备(1)上的突起;并且
第二维持元件(4,5;4a,5a)是插座(2)中的互补槽;以及
其中互补突起和槽被配置为当插座(2)和保持设备(1)互连时维持保持设备(1)和插座(2)的取向。
