技术领域
本发明属于液晶显示技术领域,具体地讲,涉及一种液晶显示器的驱动系统及驱动方法、液晶显示器。
背景技术
随着光电与半导体技术的演进,也带动了平板显示器(Flat Panel Display)的蓬勃发展,而在诸多平板显示器中,液晶显示器(Liquid Crystal Display,LCD)因具有高空间利用效率、低消耗功率、无辐射以及低电磁干扰等诸多优越特性,已被应用于生产生活的各个方面。
现有的液晶显示器LCD的驱动系统通常包括可编程伽马(P-Gamma)电路。P-Gamma电路产生伽马(Gamma)电压,伽马电压可提供给数据驱动电路,以对数据驱动电路产生的像素灰阶参考电压进行伽马校正,以获得像素灰阶电压。像素灰阶电压被提供给各个像素,以驱动各个像素。
然后,现有的P-Gamma电路制作较为复杂,成本较高。因此,如何提供一种省略掉P-Gamma电路且还能够进行伽马校正的驱动系统是液晶显示器中亟需解决的一个技术问题。
发明内容
为了解决上述现有技术存在的问题,本发明的目的在于提供一种液晶显示器的驱动系统,其包括:时序控制电路,用于存储转换成伽马电压的数据,且用于产生转换成像素灰阶参考电压的数据;数据驱动电路,用于从时序控制电路接收转换成伽马电压的数据以及转换成像素灰阶参考电压的数据,且用于将转换成伽马电压的数据以及转换成像素灰阶参考电压的数据分别转换成伽马电压以及像素灰阶参考电压,且用于利用转化成的伽马电压对转换成的像素灰阶参考电压进行伽马校正以获得像素灰阶电压。
进一步地,所述时序控制电路包括:存储模块,用于存储转换成伽马电压的数据;时序控制模块,用于对从外部图形控制器接收的输入图像信号进行处理,以产生转换成像素灰阶参考电压的数据。
进一步地,所述数据驱动电路包括:第一行存储模块,用于存储从时序控制电路接收的转换成像素灰阶参考电压的数据;第二行存储模块,用于存储从时序控制电路接收的转换成伽马电压的数据;数模转换模块,用于将转换成像素灰阶参考电压的数据以及转换成伽马电压的数据转换成像素灰阶参考电压以及伽马电压,且用于利用转化成的伽马电压对转换成的像素灰阶参考电压进行伽马校正以获得像素灰阶电压。
进一步地,所述数据驱动电路还包括:运算放大模块,用于放大像素灰阶电压,且用于输出放大后的像素灰阶电压。
进一步地,所述时序控制电路与所述数据驱动电路之间通过IIC通信协议进行数据传输。
本发明的另一目的还在于提供一种液晶显示器的驱动方法,其包括:存储转换成伽马电压的数据,并产生转换成像素灰阶参考电压的数据;将转换成伽马电压的数据以及转换成像素灰阶参考电压的数据分别转换成伽马电压以及像素灰阶参考电压;利用转化成的伽马电压对转换成的像素灰阶参考电压进行伽马校正以获得像素灰阶电压。
进一步地,产生转换成像素灰阶参考电压的数据的具体方法包括:接收输入图像信号,并对输入图像信号进行处理,以产生转换成像素灰阶参考电压的数据。
进一步地,获得像素灰阶电压之后,对获得的像素灰阶电压进行放大,并输出放大后的像素灰阶电压。
进一步地,利用IIC通信协议进行数据的传输。
本发明的又一目的又在于提供一种液晶显示器,其包括上述的驱动系统,或者利用上述的驱动方法进行驱动显示。
本发明的有益效果:本发明的液晶显示器在能够进行伽马校正的同时,还将P-Gamma电路省略掉,大大地降低了生产成本,从而提升市场竞争力。

液晶面板组件300包括多条显示信号线和连接到显示信号线并按阵列排列的多个像素PX。液晶面板组件300可以包括:彼此面对的下显示面板(未示出)和上显示面板(未示出),以及被插入在下显示面板和上显示面板之间的液晶层(未示出)。
可以在下显示面板上布置显示信号线。显示信号线可以包括传送扫描信号的多条扫描线G1至Gn和传送数据信号的多条数据线D1至Dm。扫描线G1至Gn按行方向延伸并且彼此大致平行,并且数据线D1至Dm按列方向延伸并且彼此大致平行。
每个像素PX包括:开关器件,连接到相应的扫描线和相应的数据线;以及液晶电容器,连接到该开关器件。如果必要,每个像素PX也可以包括存储电容器,其与液晶电容器并联连接。
每个像素PX的开关器件是三端器件,因此具有连接到相应扫描线的控制端、连接到相应数据线的输入端和连接到相应液晶电容器的输出端。

时序控制电路600存储转换成伽马电压的数据GAT,并从外部图形控制器(未示出)接收输入图像信号(R、G和B)以及用于控制输入图像信号的显示的多个输入控制信号,例如垂直同步信号Vsync、水平同步信号Hsync、主时钟信号MCLK、数据使能信号DE。时序控制电路600根据输入控制信号适当处理输入图像信号(R、G和B),从而产生符合液晶面板组件300的操作条件的转换成像素灰阶参考电压的数据DAT。然后,时序控制电路600产生栅极控制信号CONT1和数据控制信号CONT2,将栅极控制信号CONT1传送到扫描驱动电路400,并将数据控制信号CONT2、转换成伽马电压的数据GAT和转换成像素灰阶参考电压的数据DAT传送到数据驱动电路500。

液晶层内的液晶分子的排列根据像素灰阶电压的幅度而变化,因而通过液晶层传送的光的极性也可以变化,从而导致液晶层的透射率的变化。

参照图2,根据本发明的实施例的时序控制电路600包括:存储模块610、时序控制模块620。
存储模块610用于存储转换成伽马电压的数据GAT。在本实施例中,存储模块可例如是带电可擦可编程只读存储器(EEPROM),但本发明并不限制于此。
时序控制模块620从外部图形控制器接收输入图像信号(R、G和B)以及用于控制输入图像信号的显示的多个输入控制信号,并根据输入控制信号适当处理输入图像信号,从而产生转换成像素灰阶参考电压的数据DAT。
图3示出了根据本发明的实施例的数据驱动电路的模块图。
参照图3,根据本发明的实施例的数据驱动电路500包括:第一行存储模块510、第二行存储模块520、数模转换模块530、运算放大模块540。
在本实施例中,数据驱动电路500与时序控制电路600通过IIC通信协议进行数据传输,因此,如有必要,数据驱动电路500还可包括IIC协议逻辑模块(未示出)。
第一行存储模块510用于存储从时序控制电路600接收的转换成像素灰阶参考电压的数据DAT。第二行存储模块520用于存储从时序控制电路600接收的转换成伽马电压的数据GAT。如有必要,第一行存储模块510和第二行存储模块520可以合并为一个行存储模块。
数模转换模块530将转换成像素灰阶参考电压的数据DAT以及转换成伽马电压的数据GAT转换成像素灰阶参考电压以及伽马电压。数模转换模块530利用转化成的伽马电压对转换成的像素灰阶参考电压进行伽马校正,以获得像素灰阶电压。
运算放大模块540对获得的像素灰阶电压进行放大,并且运算放大模块将放大后的像素灰阶电压输出到数据线D1至Dm。需要说明的是,如果数模转换模块530获得的像素灰阶电压足以驱动各像素PX正常显示,那么这里的运算放大模块540可以被省略。
综上所述,根据本发明的实施例的液晶显示器,其在能够进行伽马校正的同时,还将P-Gamma电路省略掉,大大地降低了生产成本,从而提升市场竞争力。

Claims (5)

1.一种液晶显示器的驱动系统,其特征在于,包括:
时序控制电路(600),用于存储转换成伽马电压的数据,且用于产生转换成像素灰阶参考电压的数据;
扫描驱动电路(400),用于根据时序控制电路(600)的控制产生扫描信号;
数据驱动电路(500),用于从时序控制电路(600)接收转换成伽马电压的数据以及转换成像素灰阶参考电压的数据,且用于将转换成伽马电压的数据以及转换成像素灰阶参考电压的数据分别转换成伽马电压以及像素灰阶参考电压,且用于利用转化成的伽马电压对转换成的像素灰阶参考电压进行伽马校正以获得像素灰阶电压;
所述数据驱动电路(500)包括:
第一行存储模块(510),用于存储从时序控制电路(600)接收的转换成像素灰阶参考电压的数据;
第二行存储模块(520),用于存储从时序控制电路(600)接收的转换成伽马电压的数据;
数模转换模块(530),用于将转换成像素灰阶参考电压的数据以及转换成伽马电压的数据转换成像素灰阶参考电压以及伽马电压,且用于利用转化成的伽马电压对转换成的像素灰阶参考电压进行伽马校正以获得像素灰阶电压。
2.根据权利要求1所述的驱动系统,其特征在于,所述时序控制电路(600)包括:
存储模块(610),用于存储转换成伽马电压的数据;
时序控制模块(620),用于对从外部图形控制器接收的输入图像信号进行处理,以产生转换成像素灰阶参考电压的数据。
3.根据权利要求1所述的驱动系统,其特征在于,所述数据驱动电路(500)还包括:运算放大模块(530),用于放大像素灰阶电压,且用于输出放大后的像素灰阶电压。
4.根据权利要求1所述的驱动系统,其特征在于,所述时序控制电路(600)与所述数据驱动电路(500)之间通过IIC通信协议进行数据传输。
5.一种液晶显示器,其特征在于,包括权利要求1至4任一项所述的驱动系统。
