Description

OTP (one time programmable) burning method of image sensor
Technical Field
The invention relates to the field of image sensors, in particular to a burning method of a one-time programmable (OTP) memory of an image sensor.
Background
With the rapid development of the image sensor application industry, high pixels and large pixels become the main market demand and development direction, the cost of a single chip also becomes high, and the yield becomes a problem to be considered in large-scale mass production.
Wafer differences, process influences, process changes and the like cause differences in performance of image sensor chips, so that yield of the image sensor is reduced, and card control versions and batches are required, and cost is increased.
An existing image sensor chip is often provided with a one-time programmable (OTP) memory, the OTP memory is generally 8-64 Kbit in capacity and is used for burning parameter information such as White Balance, Lens sharing, VCM (voice Coil motor) and the like, but due to the fact that an image sensor has differentiation, the requirement for specific parameters is difficult to control, and the uncontrollable property of the parameter information of the image sensor chip on a wafer is often generated, so that the wafer batch and version need to be manually controlled. In addition, after the image sensor is connected to a Baseband chip (Baseband), the OTP is read through the Baseband chip, and in the conventional method, the driving parameters are set in the Baseband chip, which causes poor flexibility of the version of the image sensor and requires manual control.
Disclosure of Invention
The invention provides an OTP burning method of an image sensor,
burning parameter information corresponding to an image sensor in an OTP (one time programmable) of the image sensor; reading the parameter information when the baseband chip drives the image sensor;
the first method is as follows: the baseband chip updates the driving parameters of the image sensor carried by the baseband chip according to the parameter information in the OTP, and then initializes the image sensor to enable the image sensor to work in an optimized state;
alternatively, the second mode: the baseband chip initializes the image sensor by adopting the drive parameters of the baseband chip, writes the parameter information in the OTP into the image sensor, and partially or completely covers the original drive parameters, so that the image sensor works in an optimized state.
Preferably, the parameter information of the OTP is pre-compressed to save the storage space of the OTP; and reading and decompressing the parameter information of the OTP through the baseband chip.
Preferably, the parameter information of the OTP is added with check and error correction information, and the check and error correction is performed on the parameter information of the OTP.
Preferably, the OTP parameter information includes register address information, data information, and property information.
The invention records the parameter information in the OTP, wherein the parameter information comprises the drive information of different versions, thereby increasing the flexibility of changing the drive of the image sensor and the compatibility of the drive of the image sensor and reducing the cost.
