The female port and the sub-port of this embodiment may be standard network line interfaces of RJ45, GBIC interfaces, SFP interfaces, USB interfaces, COM interfaces, or HDMI interfaces.
The manner of triggering the master-slave relationship in this embodiment may be a physical button disposed on the housing of the routing device, where the physical button is electrically connected to the triggering module in the routing device.
For example, the client device is connected to the routing device through a network cable, and when the button is pressed or touched, the client device connected (wired) to the female port is recognized by the routing device as the female terminal or the master device, and the client connected (wired) to the female port is recognized as the female terminal or the slave device.
The parent end can determine the authority for sharing data or controlling, for example, a desktop computer is connected to the parent end, and a notebook computer or other equipment connected with the child end can access the files in the parent end according to the authority set by the desktop computer. The permission settings may be set manually by the user or programmatically solidified in the routing device.
The child end can print, play audio frequency, play video, data keep in etc. function through the parent end, and the parent end has functions such as printing, audio frequency play, video play, data keep in etc..
In addition, in this embodiment, the child side and the child side do not have a function of directly sharing data with each other, but through the authority setting of the parent side, the child side can share data with the parent side as an intermediary to other child sides, and can use the function of the child side by other child sides.
In the invention, the parent end can also be an intelligent television, so that music or video connected to the client device can be played through the parent end, and the open function authority of the parent end is controlled by the parent end.
Fig. 3 illustrates a method of associating devices connected via a routing apparatus, consistent with certain embodiments of the present invention, including the steps of:
step S310, connecting the equipment to the mother port and/or the sub port;
step S320, the routing device detects that equipment is accessed to the mother port and/or the daughter port;
step S330, triggering port setting, namely triggering port setting by a touch switch or a button pressing mode;
step S340, executing port setting, setting the equipment accessed to the mother port as master equipment, and setting the equipment accessed to the child port as slave equipment;
step S350, controlling communication between the master device and the slave device, including the master device determining the permission to share data or control. Data cannot be shared between the slave devices, but any slave device can share data with other slave devices through the authority setting of the master device with the master device as an intermediary.
For example, the routing device is provided with fixed ports, i.e., a female port and a sub-port, the female port is connected to the computer through an RJ45 interface, and the sub-port is also connected to the computer through an RJ45 interface. The routing device detects that the equipment is respectively accessed to the mother port and the child port. The user presses or touches a button or a touch device on the routing device to trigger the trigger module of the routing device to work. And after receiving the trigger signal, the trigger module informs the control module of the trigger signal, and the control module informs the setting module of setting the port according to the trigger signal, namely setting the equipment accessed by the mother port as master equipment and setting the equipment accessed by the child port as slave equipment. Then, the computer accessed from the mother port can set the authority for the computer accessed from the child port, which can allow some child computer or some child computers to perform read-write operations on the host computer, while other slave computers prohibit the operations. It can also allow some or some sub-computers to have partial read-write operation authority. And the computers connected to the sub-port perform read-write operation mutually. If a sub-computer wants to share audio or video files with other sub-computers, it needs to transmit the audio or video files to the host computer, and the other sub-computers acquire the audio or video files that the sub-computer wants to share with other devices through the host computer.
In another embodiment, the female port is connected to the computer 1 through an RJ45 interface, one of the sub-ports is connected to the computer 2 through an RJ45 interface, and one of the sub-ports is connected to the printer through a USB interface. The routing device detects that equipment is respectively accessed to the mother port and the child port, and the ports are fixed ports on the routing device. The user presses or touches a button or touch device on the routing apparatus. After the trigger module receives the trigger signal, the trigger signal is notified to the control module, the control module notifies the setting module to set the port according to the trigger signal, namely, the setting module sets the computer 1 accessed by the female port as the master device, and sets the computer 2 accessed by the sub-port and the printer as the slave devices. The computer 1 can freely use the printing function of the printer and can allow the computer 2 to read and write data, while the computer 2 cannot use the printer function. If the computer 2 needs to print a document, it needs to transfer the document to the computer 1 under the condition of obtaining the authorization of the computer 1, and then the document is printed by the computer 1.
In another embodiment, the female port is connected to the digital television through an RJ45 interface, a certain sub-port is connected to the computer through an RJ45 interface, a certain sub-port is connected to the MP3 through a USB interface, and a certain sub-port is connected to the power amplifier through an HDMI interface. The routing device detects that equipment is respectively accessed to the mother port and the child port, and the ports are fixed ports on the routing device. The user presses or touches a button or touch device on the routing apparatus. The trigger module receives the trigger signal and informs the trigger signal to the control module, the control module informs the setting module to set the port according to the trigger signal, the setting means that the digital television accessed by the main port is set as the main equipment, and the computer, the MP3 and the power amplifier equipment accessed by the sub-port are set as the slave equipment. When a user wants to play a video file on a computer, the video file on the computer can be transmitted to the digital television for watching; similarly, when the user wants to enjoy the audio file on the MP3 through the power amplifier, the audio file of the MP3 can be obtained through the digital television and played through the power amplifier.
In one embodiment, the parent/child port may be configured by a computer device connected to the routing apparatus.
