AMOLED显示装置及其驱动方法
技术领域
本发明涉及显示技术领域,尤其涉及一种AMOLED显示装置及其驱动方法。
背景技术
有机发光二极管(Organic Light Emitting Display,OLED)显示装置具有自发光、驱动电压低、发光效率高、响应时间短、清晰度与对比度高、近180°视角、使用温度范围宽,可实现柔性显示与大面积全色显示等诸多优点,被业界公认为是最有发展潜力的显示装置。
OLED显示装置按照驱动方式可以分为无源矩阵型OLED(Passive Matrix OLED,PMOLED)和有源矩阵型OLED(Active Matrix OLED,AMOLED)两大类,即直接寻址和薄膜晶体管(Thin Film Transistor,TFT)矩阵寻址两类。其中,AMOLED显示面板以其轻薄、主动发光、快响应速度、广视角、色彩丰富及高亮度、低功耗等众多优点被认为是继液晶显示器(LCD)之后的第三代显示技术。AMOLED可以实现大尺寸、高分辨率面板,是未来显示技术的发展方向。
在传统的OLED显示屏幕中,常见的像素设计为由红色子像素R、绿色子像素G、和蓝色子像素B三个子像素组成一个像素进行显示。随着用户对于显示屏幕观看感受要求的提高,目前也出现了四色显示面板,四色显示面板中,每个像素由四个子像素组成,包括红色子像素、绿色子像素、蓝色子像素、白色子像素,与三色显示面板相比,增加的白色子像素可以提高显示面板的开口率和色彩表现力。如图1所示,现有的四色显示面板中,该显示面板包括多个像素,每一像素包括红色子像素R、绿色子像素G、蓝色子像素B、及白色子像素W,各子像素呈矩阵排列,其中,每一行子像素和与其相邻的另一行子像素的子像素的排列顺序完全相同,每一列子像素均为同一种颜色的子像素,每一列子像素均输入对应颜色的伽马曲线,即第一列子像素使用红色伽马曲线Red_Gamma,第二子像素使用绿色伽马曲线Green_Gamma,第三列子像素使用蓝色伽马曲线Blue_Gamma,第四列子像素使用白色伽马曲线White_Gamma,这样的像素排列结构比较简单,但是显示效果并非最佳。
随着技术的不断发展,如图2及图3所示,出现了交错排列的像素结构,在交错排列的像素结构中处于同一列的上下相邻的两个子像素的颜色不同,因而无法采用图1所示的传统的伽马曲线的输入方法来进行驱动。
发明内容
本发明的目的在于提供一种AMOLED显示装置,能够适用于采用不同的子像素排列方式的多种显示面板,降低生产成本,提升产品竞争力。

为实现上述目的,本发明首先提供一种AMOLED显示装置,包括:
驱动电路、及与所述驱动电路相连的显示面板;
所述显示面板包括多个阵列式排布的子像素,所述子像素包括:红色子像素、绿色子像素、蓝色子像素、及白色子像素;
所述驱动电路输入伽马控制信号,输出红色伽马电压曲线、绿色伽马电压曲线、蓝色伽马电压曲线、及白色伽马电压曲线;
所述驱动电路依据不同的伽马控制信号驱动不同子像素排列方式的显示面板。
每一行子像素均按照红色子像素、绿色子像素、蓝色子像素、及白色子像素的顺序交替重复排列;
所述伽马控制信号为0,设n为自然数,所述驱动电路向第4n+1、4n+2、4n+3、及4n+4列子像素分别输入红色伽马电压曲线、绿色伽马电压曲线、蓝色伽马电压曲线、及白色伽马电压曲线。
所述奇数行子像素以红色子像素、绿色子像素的顺序交替重复排列,偶数行子像素以蓝色子像素、白色子像素的顺序交替重复排列;

本发明还提供一种AMOLED驱动方法,包括如下步骤:
步骤1、提供一AMOLED显示装置,包括驱动电路、及与所述驱动电路相连的显示面板;
所述显示面板包括多个阵列式排布的子像素,所述子像素包括:红色子像素、绿色子像素、蓝色子像素、及白色子像素;
所述驱动电路输入伽马控制信号,输出红色伽马电压曲线、绿色伽马电压曲线、蓝色伽马电压曲线、及白色伽马电压曲线;
步骤2、依据所述显示面板的子像素排列方式向驱动电路输入对应的伽马控制信号;
步骤3、所述驱动电路依据输入的伽马控制信号,输出对应的伽马曲线,驱动显示面板完成画面显示。
所述步骤2中子像素的排列方式为每一行子像素均按照红色子像素、绿色子像素、蓝色子像素、及白色子像素的顺序交替重复排列,选择的伽马控制信号为0;
所述步骤3中,设n为自然数,所述驱动电路向第4n+1、4n+2、4n+3、及4n+4列子像素分别输入红色伽马电压曲线、绿色伽马电压曲线、蓝色伽马电压曲线、及白色伽马电压曲线。

本发明的有益效果:本发明提供的一种AMOLED显示装置,通过增加一伽马控制信号控制伽马曲线的输出,并根据显示面板的子像素排列方式选择伽马控制信号的数值,不同的伽马控制信号的数值对应不同的控制伽马曲线的输出,进而可以驱动不同的子像素排列方式的显示面板,同时还可以降低生产成本,提升产品竞争力。本发明还提供一种AMOLED驱动方法,该方法能够驱动不同的子像素排列方式的多种显示面板,降低生产成本,提升产品竞争力。

驱动电路10、及与所述驱动电路10相连的显示面板20;
所述显示面板20包括多个阵列式排布的子像素,所述子像素包括:红色子像素R、绿色子像素G、蓝色子像素B、及白色子像素W;
所述驱动电路10输入伽马控制信号Gamma_change,输出红色伽马电压曲线Red_Gamma、绿色伽马电压曲线Green_Gamma、蓝色伽马电压曲线Blue_Gamma、及白色伽马电压曲线White_Gamma;
所述驱动电路10依据不同的伽马控制信号Gamma_change驱动不同子像素排列方式的显示面板20。
具体的,所述显示面板采用四色显示,通过增加白色子像素可以提高显示面板的开口率和色彩表现力,子像素的排列方式可以选择包括交错排列在内的多种方式,对应一种子像素的排列方式设有一个对应的伽马控制信号Gamma_change的数值。如图4所示为本发明的一实施例,所述子像素的排列方式为:每一行子像素均按照红色子像素R、绿色子像素G、蓝色子像素B、及白色子像素W的顺序交替重复排列,依据图4所示的子像素排列方式对应的伽马控制信号Gamma_change为0。在这种情况下,伽马曲线的输出方式为,设n为自然数,所述驱动电路10向第4n+1、4n+2、4n+3、及4n+4列子像素分别输入红色伽马电压曲线Red_Gamma、绿色伽马电压曲线Green_Gamma、蓝色伽马电压曲线Blue_Gamma、及白色伽马电压曲线White_Gamma。如图5所示,即对于显示面板的每一次扫描无论是扫描奇数行还是偶数行,所述驱动电路10均向扫描行的第4n+1、4n+2、4n+3、及4n+4列子像素分别提供红色伽马电压曲线Red_Gamma、绿色伽马电压曲线Green_Gamma、蓝色伽马电压曲线Blue_Gamma、及白色伽马电压曲线White_Gamma。
本发明的AMOLED显示装置还可以采用交错排列的子像素,如图6所示为本发明的第二实施例,所述子像素的排列方式为:奇数行子像素以红色子像素R、绿色子像素G的顺序交替重复排列,偶数行子像素以蓝色子像素B、白色子像素W的顺序交替重复排列,对应的伽马控制信号Gamma_change为1,在这种情况下,伽马曲线的输出方式为,设n和m为自然数,所述驱动电路10向第2n+1列2m+1行子像素、第2n+2列2m+1行子像素、第2n+1列第2m+2行、及第2n+2列第2m+2行子像素分别输入红色伽马电压曲线Red_Gamma、绿色伽马电压曲线Green_Gamma、蓝色伽马电压曲线Blue_Gamma、及白色伽马电压曲线White_Gamma。请参阅图7,即对于显示面板的扫描奇数行和偶数行,所提供的伽马曲线是不同的,其中扫描奇数行时所述驱动电路10向扫描行的第2n+1列、及第2n+2列子像素提供红色伽马电压曲线Red_Gamma、及绿色伽马电压曲线Green_Gamma,扫描偶数行时,所述驱动电路10向扫描行的第2n+1列、及第2n+2列子像素提供蓝色伽马电压曲线Blue_Gamma、及白色伽马电压曲线White_Gamma。

此外,所述驱动电路10还接入数个红色伽马参考电压(例如:VGMA_R1、VGMA_R2、...及VGMA_R9)、绿色伽马参考电压(例如:VGMA_G1、VGMA_G2、...及VGMA_G9)、蓝色伽马参考电压(例如:VGMA_B1、VGMA_B2、...及VGMA_B9)、及白色伽马参考电压(例如:VGMA_W1、VGMA_W2、...及VGMA_W9),分别用于生成红色伽马电压曲线Red_Gamma、绿色伽马电压曲线Green_Gamma、蓝色伽马电压曲线Blue_Gamma、及白色伽马电压曲线White_Gamma。
请参阅图10,本发明还提供一种AMOLED驱动方法,包括如下步骤:
步骤1、提供一AMOLED显示装置,包括驱动电路10、及与所述驱动电路10相连的显示面板20;
所述显示面板20包括多个阵列式排布的子像素,所述子像素包括:红色子像素R、绿色子像素G、蓝色子像素B、及白色子像素W;
所述驱动电路10输入伽马控制信号Gamma_change,输出红色伽马电压曲线Red_Gamma、绿色伽马电压曲线Green_Gamma、蓝色伽马电压曲线Blue_Gamma、及白色伽马电压曲线White_Gamma;
步骤2、依据所述显示面板20的子像素排列方式向驱动电路10输入对应的伽马控制信号Gamma_change;
具体的,所述显示面板采用四色显示,通过增加白色子像素可以提高显示面板的开口率和色彩表现力,子像素的排列方式可以选择包括交错排列在内的多种方式,对应一种子像素的排列方式设有一个对应的伽马控制信号Gamma_change的数值。
如图4所示为本发明的AMOLED显示装置的第一实施例,所述子像素的排列方式为:每一行子像素均按照红色子像素R、绿色子像素G、蓝色子像素B、及白色子像素W的顺序交替重复排列,对应的伽马控制信号Gamma_change为0。
如图6所示为本发明的AMOLED显示装置的第二实施例,采用交错排列的子像素,所述子像素的排列方式为:奇数行子像素以红色子像素R、绿色子像素G的顺序交替重复排列,偶数行子像素以蓝色子像素B、白色子像素W的顺序交替重复排列,对应的伽马控制信号Gamma_change为1。
如图8所示为本发明的AMOLED显示装置的第三实施例,所述子像素的排列方式为奇数行子像素以红色子像素R、绿色子像素G、蓝色子像素B、及白色子像素W的顺序交替重复排列,偶数行子像素以蓝色子像素B、白色子像素W、红色子像素R、及绿色子像素G的顺序交替重复排列,对应的伽马控制信号Gamma_change为2。
步骤3、所述驱动电路10依据输入的伽马控制信号Gamma_change,输出对应的伽马曲线,驱动显示面板20完成画面显示。
具体的,所述驱动电路10依据接入的数个红色伽马参考电压、绿色伽马参考电压、蓝色伽马参考电压、及白色伽马参考电压分别生成红色伽马电压曲线Red_Gamma、绿色伽马电压曲线Green_Gamma、蓝色伽马电压曲线Blue_Gamma、及白色伽马电压曲线White_Gamma。
具体的,当伽马控制信号Gamma_change为0时,所述伽马曲线的输出方式为,设n为自然数,所述驱动电路10向第4n+1、4n+2、4n+3、及4n+4列子像素分别输入红色伽马电压曲线Red_Gamma、绿色伽马电压曲线Green_Gamma、蓝色伽马电压曲线Blue_Gamma、及白色伽马电压曲线White_Gamma。如图5所示,即对于显示面板的每一次扫描无论是扫描奇数行还是偶数行,所述驱动电路10均向扫描行的第4n+1、4n+2、4n+3、及4n+4列子像素分别提供红色伽马电压曲线Red_Gamma、绿色伽马电压曲线Green_Gamma、蓝色伽马电压曲线Blue_Gamma、及白色伽马电压曲线White_Gamma。
当伽马控制信号Gamma_change为1时,伽马曲线的输出方式为,设n和m为自然数,所述驱动电路10向第2n+1列2m+1行子像素、第2n+2列2m+1行子像素、第2n+1列第2m+2行、及第2n+2列第2m+2行子像素分别输入红色伽马电压曲线Red_Gamma、绿色伽马电压曲线Green_Gamma、蓝色伽马电压曲线Blue_Gamma、及白色伽马电压曲线White_Gamma。请参阅图7,即对于显示面板的扫描奇数行和偶数行,所提供的伽马曲线是不同的,其中扫描奇数行时所述驱动电路10向扫描行的第2n+1列、及第2n+2列子像素提供红色伽马电压曲线Red_Gamma、及绿色伽马电压曲线Green_Gamma,扫描偶数行时,所述驱动电路10向扫描行的第2n+1列、及第2n+2列子像素提供蓝色伽马电压曲线Blue_Gamma、及白色伽马电压曲线White_Gamma。
当伽马控制信号Gamma_change为2时,设n和m为自然数,所述驱动电路10向第2m+1行4n+1列、第2m+1行4n+2列、第2m+1行4n+3列、及第2m+1行4n+4列分别输入红色伽马电压曲线Red_Gamma、绿色伽马电压曲线Green_Gamma、蓝色伽马电压曲线Blue_Gamma、及白色伽马电压曲线White_Gamma,向第2m+2行4n+1列、第2m+2行4n+2列、第2m+2行4n+3列、及第2m+2行4n+4列子像素分别输入蓝色伽马电压曲线Blue_Gamma、白色伽马电压曲线White_Gamma、红色伽马电压曲线Red_Gamma、及绿色伽马电压曲线Green_Gamma。请参阅图9,即对于显示面板的扫描奇数行和偶数行,所提供的伽马曲线是不同的,其中扫描奇数行时所述驱动电路10向扫描行的第4n+1列、第4n+2列、第4n+3列、及第4n+4列子像素提供红色红色伽马电压曲线Red_Gamma、绿色伽马电压曲线Green_Gamma、蓝色伽马电压曲线Blue_Gamma、及白色伽马电压曲线White_Gamma,扫描偶数行时,所述驱动电路10向扫描行的第4n+1列、第4n+2列、第4n+3列、及第4n+4列子像素提供蓝色伽马电压曲线Blue_Gamma、白色伽马电压曲线White_Gamma、红色伽马电压曲线Red_Gamma、及绿色伽马电压曲线Green_Gamma。
综上所述,本发明提供的一种AMOLED显示装置,通过增加一伽马控制信号控制伽马曲线的输出,并根据显示面板的子像素排列方式选择伽马控制信号的数值,不同的伽马控制信号的数值对应不同的控制伽马曲线的输出,进而可以驱动不同的子像素排列方式的显示面板,同时还可以降低生产成本,提升产品竞争力。本发明还提供一种AMOLED驱动方法,该方法能够驱动不同的子像素排列方式的多种显示面板,降低生产成本,提升产品竞争力。
以上所述,对于本领域的普通技术人员来说,可以根据本发明的技术方案和技术构思作出其他各种相应的改变和变形,而所有这些改变和变形都应属于本发明权利要求的保护范围。

Claims (10)

1.一种AMOLED显示装置,其特征在于,包括:
驱动电路(10)、及与所述驱动电路(10)相连的显示面板(20);
所述显示面板(20)包括多个阵列式排布的子像素,所述子像素包括:红色子像素(R)、绿色子像素(G)、蓝色子像素(B)、及白色子像素(W);
所述驱动电路(10)输入伽马控制信号(Gamma_change),输出红色伽马电压曲线(Red_Gamma)、绿色伽马电压曲线(Green_Gamma)、蓝色伽马电压曲线(Blue_Gamma)、及白色伽马电压曲线(White_Gamma);
所述驱动电路(10)依据不同的伽马控制信号(Gamma_change)驱动不同子像素排列方式的显示面板(20)。
2.如权利要求1所述的AMOLED显示装置,其特征在于,每一行子像素均按照红色子像素(R)、绿色子像素(G)、蓝色子像素(B)、及白色子像素(W)的顺序交替重复排列;
所述伽马控制信号(Gamma_change)为0,设n为自然数,所述驱动电路(10)向第4n+1、4n+2、4n+3、及4n+4列子像素分别输入红色伽马电压曲线(Red_Gamma)、绿色伽马电压曲线(Green_Gamma)、蓝色伽马电压曲线(Blue_Gamma)、及白色伽马电压曲线(White_Gamma)。
3.如权利要求1所述的AMOLED显示装置,其特征在于,奇数行子像素以红色子像素(R)、绿色子像素(G)的顺序交替重复排列,偶数行子像素以蓝色子像素(B)、白色子像素(W)的顺序交替重复排列;
所述伽马控制信号(Gamma_change)为1,设n和m为自然数,所述驱动电路(10)向第2n+1列2m+1行子像素、第2n+2列2m+1行子像素、第2n+1列第2m+2行、及第2n+2列第2m+2行子像素分别输入红色伽马电压曲线(Red_Gamma)、绿色伽马电压曲线(Green_Gamma)、蓝色伽马电压曲线(Blue_Gamma)、及白色伽马电压曲线(White_Gamma)。
4.如权利要求1所述的AMOLED显示装置,其特征在于,奇数行子像素以红色子像素(R)、绿色子像素(G)、蓝色子像素(B)、及白色子像素(W)的顺序交替重复排列,偶数行子像素以蓝色子像素(B)、白色子像素(W)、红色子像素(R)、及绿色子像素(G)的顺序交替重复排列;
所述伽马控制信号(Gamma_change)为2,设n和m为自然数,所述驱动电路(10)向第2m+1行4n+1列、第2m+1行4n+2列、第2m+1行4n+3列、及第2m+1行4n+4列分别输入红色伽马电压曲线(Red_Gamma)、绿色伽马电压曲线(Green_Gamma)、蓝色伽马电压曲线(Blue_Gamma)、及白色伽马电压曲线(White_Gamma),向第2m+2行4n+1列、第2m+2行4n+2列、第2m+2行4n+3列、及第2m+2行4n+4列子像素分别输入蓝色伽马电压曲线(Blue_Gamma)、白色伽马电压曲线(White_Gamma)、红色伽马电压曲线(Red_Gamma)、及绿色伽马电压曲线(Green_Gamma)。
5.如权利要求1所述的AMOLED显示装置,其特征在于,所述驱动电路(10)还接入数个红色伽马参考电压、绿色伽马参考电压、蓝色伽马参考电压、及白色伽马参考电压分别用于生成红色伽马电压曲线(Red_Gamma)、绿色伽马电压曲线(Green_Gamma)、蓝色伽马电压曲线(Blue_Gamma)、及白色伽马电压曲线(White_Gamma)。
6.一种AMOLED驱动方法,其特征在于,包括如下步骤:
步骤1、提供一AMOLED显示装置,包括驱动电路(10)、及与所述驱动电路(10)相连的显示面板(20);
所述显示面板(20)包括多个阵列式排布的子像素,所述子像素包括:红色子像素(R)、绿色子像素(G)、蓝色子像素(B)、及白色子像素(W);
所述驱动电路(10)输入伽马控制信号(Gamma_change),输出红色伽马电压曲线(Red_Gamma)、绿色伽马电压曲线(Green_Gamma)、蓝色伽马电压曲线(Blue_Gamma)、及白色伽马电压曲线(White_Gamma);
步骤2、依据所述显示面板(20)的子像素排列方式向驱动电路(10)输入对应的伽马控制信号(Gamma_change);
步骤3、所述驱动电路(10)依据输入的伽马控制信号(Gamma_change),输出对应的伽马曲线,驱动显示面板(20)完成画面显示。
7.如权利要求6所述的AMOLED驱动方法,其特征在于,
所述步骤2中子像素的排列方式为每一行子像素均按照红色子像素(R)、绿色子像素(G)、蓝色子像素(B)、及白色子像素(W)的顺序交替重复排列,选择的伽马控制信号(Gamma_change)为0;
所述步骤3中,设n为自然数,所述驱动电路(10)向第4n+1、4n+2、4n+3、及4n+4列子像素分别输入红色伽马电压曲线(Red_Gamma)、绿色伽马电压曲线(Green_Gamma)、蓝色伽马电压曲线(Blue_Gamma)、及白色伽马电压曲线(White_Gamma)。
8.如权利要求6所述的AMOLED驱动方法,其特征在于,
所述步骤2中子像素的排列方式为奇数行子像素以红色子像素(R)、绿色子像素(G)的顺序交替重复排列,偶数行子像素以蓝色子像素(B)、白色子像素(W)的顺序交替重复排列,选择的伽马控制信号(Gamma_change)为1;
所述步骤3中,设n和m为自然数,所述驱动电路(10)向第2n+1列2m+1行子像素、第2n+2列2m+1行子像素、第2n+1列第2m+2行、及第2n+2列第2m+2行子像素分别输入红色伽马电压曲线(Red_Gamma)、绿色伽马电压曲线(Green_Gamma)、蓝色伽马电压曲线(Blue_Gamma)、及白色伽马电压曲线(White_Gamma)。
9.如权利要求6所述的AMOLED驱动方法,其特征在于,所述步骤2中子像素的排列方式为奇数行子像素以红色子像素(R)、绿色子像素(G)、蓝色子像素(B)、及白色子像素(W)的顺序交替重复排列,偶数行子像素以蓝色子像素(B)、白色子像素(W)、红色子像素(R)、及绿色子像素(G)的顺序交替重复排列,选择的伽马控制信号(Gamma_change)为2;
所述步骤3中,设n和m为自然数,所述驱动电路(10)向第2m+1行4n+1列、第2m+1行4n+2列、第2m+1行4n+3列、及第2m+1行4n+4列分别输入红色伽马电压曲线(Red_Gamma)、绿色伽马电压曲线(Green_Gamma)、蓝色伽马电压曲线(Blue_Gamma)、及白色伽马电压曲线(White_Gamma),向第2m+2行4n+1列、第2m+2行4n+2列、第2m+2行4n+3列、及第2m+2行4n+4列子像素分别输入蓝色伽马电压曲线(Blue_Gamma)、白色伽马电压曲线(White_Gamma)、红色伽马电压曲线(Red_Gamma)、及绿色伽马电压曲线(Green_Gamma)。
10.如权利要求6所述的AMOLED驱动方法,其特征在于,所述步骤3中驱动电路(10)依据接入的数个红色伽马参考电压、绿色伽马参考电压、蓝色伽马参考电压、及白色伽马参考电压分别生成红色伽马电压曲线(Red_Gamma)、绿色伽马电压曲线(Green_Gamma)、蓝色伽马电压曲线(Blue_Gamma)、及白色伽马电压曲线(White_Gamma)。
