Abstract

The application discloses a method for pushing an associated program. The method comprises the following steps: a smart television receiving an associated program pushing request of a user, and acquiring electronic program guide EPG information of the currently played program, and carrying the EPG information in the associated program pushing request to send to a server; the server receiving the associated program pushing request and acquiring the EPG information from the request, and extracting key words from the EPG information; the server searching for associated program information from a network according to the extracted key words, and sending to the smart television to display, wherein the associated program information comprises the information of one or more associated programs. Through the adoption of the application, the blindness of the channel search can be overcome, and the programs can be pushed according to user requirements, the pushed programs are displayed through a split-screen desktop so that the user can conveniently select and watch, and watching experience of the user using the smart television is promoted.

Technical Field
The present application relates to television technologies, and in particular, to a method and an apparatus for pushing associated programs.
Background
With the development of television technology, digital smart televisions are already very widespread. People can watch various television and network programs through televisions, browse web pages and the like. Currently, searching for a target program through a television can be mainly performed in the following ways:
1. inputting the channel number of the target channel through the number keys on the remote controller, and directly switching to the target channel;
2. switching channels by < up/down key > on the remote controller until a target channel is found;
3. a user initiates a channel switching request, a channel switching interface home page is superposed on a current program playing picture of the smart television, the home page is divided into a plurality of display areas, and program previews of recently watched channels are displayed in each display area; then selecting and confirming a channel to be switched on a channel switching interface to complete channel switching;
4. and creating an association table of the same broadcast television channel information, wherein the association table associates two or more broadcast television channel information to form an association relation. Wherein the program contents contained in the associated two or more broadcast television channels are the same. Detailed Description
For the purpose of making the objects, technical means and advantages of the present application more apparent, the present application will be described in further detail with reference to the accompanying drawings.
The server is introduced, related programs are searched according to the EPG information of the currently played programs and are pushed to the smart television, and therefore program contents more related to the current television programs can be provided for users. Specific implementations of the present application are described in detail below.
Fig. 1 is a basic flowchart of a related program pushing method in the present application, and as shown in fig. 1, the method includes:
step 101, the smart television receives a related program pushing request of a user.
The remote controller can be provided with a hot key for receiving related commands of the related programs in advance, and when a user watches television programs, the user can send a related program pushing request to the smart television by pressing the hot key of the remote controller.
Step 102, after receiving a push request of an associated program, the television acquires electronic program menu (EPG) information of a currently played program.
The smart television receives a user request, and acquires the EPG information of the currently played program in the background, where the processing of acquiring the EPG information may be performed according to the existing manner, which is not described herein again.
And 103, the intelligent television sends a related program pushing request to the server and carries the acquired EPG information.
Through the step, the intelligent television sends the EPG information to the server.
And 104, the server receives a related program pushing request of the intelligent television and acquires the EPG information of the currently played program from the related program pushing request.
In step 105, the server extracts keywords from the acquired EPG information of the currently playing program.
The server identifies keywords in the EPG information, such as the episode of the television show, director, actors, etc., or the name of a game, country, team name, etc., using an intelligent method.
And step 106, searching the related program information from the network according to the extracted keywords.
The associated program can be various contents such as video, pictures, web page news and the like; when searching the related program information, the related program consistent with the keyword may be searched, or the related program having a corresponding or binding relationship with the keyword may also be searched. The specific association policy may be set as needed, which is not limited in this application.
And step 107, the server sends the searched related program information to the intelligent television.
The server can package all searched related contents and send the packaged related contents to the smart television terminal.
And step 108, the intelligent television receives and displays the associated program information.

As can be seen from the specific implementation of the application, the associated program pushing method and device in the application overcome the blindness of traditional television channel searching, and can predict whether the program content of the target channel meets the watching requirement of the user. Meanwhile, a method capable of automatically matching the associated program information of the current program is provided, so that the diversity of the television programs is increased, and the requirements of users in various aspects are met. Furthermore, the limitation that the traditional television can only play a single program at the same time can be overcome, the associated program can be seen more intuitively by using a split-screen desktop display method, the channel can be switched rapidly, and the user experience is better.
