Detailed Description
Various preferred embodiments of the present invention will be described below with reference to the accompanying drawings. The following description with reference to the accompanying drawings is provided to assist in understanding the exemplary embodiments of the invention as defined by the claims and their equivalents. It includes various specific details to assist understanding, but they are to be construed as merely illustrative. Accordingly, those skilled in the art will recognize that various changes and modifications can be made to the embodiments described herein without departing from the scope and spirit of the present invention. Also, in order to make the description clearer and simpler, a detailed description of functions and configurations well known in the art will be omitted.
First, before a detailed description is made regarding an embodiment of the present invention, several states of two communication terminals during communication are defined as follows. Assume that a call is requested from communication terminal a to communication terminal B. On the side of the communication terminal a, the detectable states include: "unable to connect", "wait for a response", "connect not responded", "connect and respond".
Specifically, the "connectionless" state refers to a state in which connection with the communication terminal B is not possible. The "connectionless" state includes: the communication terminal B is busy and the communication terminal B is powered off.
The "wait for response" state refers to a state in which the communication request from the communication terminal a has arrived at the communication terminal B and is waiting for the communication terminal B to respond. The "response waiting" state may be a state in which, when the server issues a teleconference request to the communication terminal a and the communication terminal B, the teleconference request arrives at both sides and the both sides are waiting for a response.
The "connection unresponsive" state refers to a state in which: firstly, the communication terminal B is in an idle state, namely can be connected; then, the communication request from the communication terminal a reaches the communication terminal B, that is, the communication terminal B enters a "waiting response" state; finally, communication terminal B does not respond after the "wait for response" state continues for a predetermined period of time, resulting in no-one hearing.
"connect and respond" means a state in which a communication request from the communication terminal a has reached the communication terminal B and the communication terminal B has responded, so that the communication terminal a and the communication terminal B can talk.
On the other hand, on the server side, the states of the communication terminal that can be monitored include a "connectable" state and a "unconnected" state. The "connectable" state refers to a state in which other communication terminals can request communication therewith, including an "idle" state of the communication terminal. The "connection disabled" state refers to a state in which other communication terminals cannot request communication therewith, and includes an "busy" state and a "power off" state of the communication terminal.
Next, a communication connection method according to an embodiment of the present invention will be described with reference to fig. 1. The communication connection method is applied to a first communication terminal (e.g., the communication terminal a above). As shown in fig. 1, the communication connection method includes the steps of:
first, in step S101, a connection with a second communication terminal is requested in accordance with an instruction from a user.
Next, in step S102, the connection state with the second communication terminal is judged. As described hereinbefore, the connection state with the second communication terminal includes: "unable to connect", "wait for response", "connection not responding", and "connect and respond".
If it is determined in step S102 that the connection state with the second communication terminal is "connection impossible", the process proceeds to step S103. In step S103, control is performed so as to automatically reestablish a connection with the second communication terminal at an appropriate timing.
After step S103, the process proceeds to step S104. In step S104, the connection state with the second communication terminal is judged again.
If it is determined in step S104 that the connection state with the second communication terminal is "waiting for response", the process proceeds to step S105. In step S105, a prompt message is output to the user.
On the other hand, if it is determined in step S104 that the connection state with the second communication terminal is still "no connection", the process returns to step S103 to continue the automatic redial process.
Here, it should be noted that, since the two states of "connection unresponse" and "connection and response" are states that occur after "waiting for response", and the state of "waiting for response" is once judged at step S104 and then it proceeds to step S105, there is no case where the two states of "connection unresponse" and "connection and response" are judged at step S104. In addition, the time at which the "wait for response" state is determined is inevitably later than the time at which the "unable to connect" state is determined.
On the other hand, if it is determined in step S102 that the connection state with the second communication terminal is "waiting for response", it is necessary to continue waiting until it is determined whether the final connection state is "connection not responded" or "connection and response". If it is judged at step S102 that the connection state with the second communication terminal is "connected and responded", the process ends. If it is determined in step S102 that the connection state with the second communication terminal is "connection unresponsive", the process proceeds to step S103'. At step S103', similarly to step S103, control is performed so as to automatically reestablish a connection with the second communication terminal at an appropriate timing. The difference between step S103' and step S103 will be described below. Then, the process proceeds to step S104'. In step S104', similarly to step S104, the connection state with the second communication terminal is judged. Differently from step S104, if it is determined in step S104 'that the connection state with the second communication terminal is "connection unresponsive", the process returns to step S103'. If it is determined in step S104' that the connection state with the second communication terminal is "connected and responded", the process proceeds to step S105.
Next, the specific process of step S103 will be described in detail. There may be three cases as follows in the manner of controlling to automatically re-establish a connection with the second communication terminal at an appropriate timing. In summary, in the first embodiment, the server monitors the status of the second communication terminal, and when the server monitors that the second communication terminal can be connected, the server sends a notification to the first communication terminal, and the first communication terminal requests the second communication terminal to connect again. In the second embodiment, unlike the first embodiment, automatic redialing is periodically performed at the first communication terminal without participation of the server. In the third embodiment, the same as the first embodiment, the server also monitors the state of the second communication terminal, except that when the server monitors that the second communication terminal can connect, the server initiates connection requests to both ends at the same time.
Next, the case of the first embodiment is first described in detail with reference to fig. 2. As shown in fig. 2, in the first embodiment, the step S103 further includes the steps of:
first, in step S1031, a listening instruction is transmitted to the server. Wherein the server listens for the state of the second communication terminal after receiving the listening instruction, and transmits a connection-capable notification to the first communication terminal when the state of the second communication terminal becomes "connection-capable".
Then, in step S1032, it is determined whether a notification of connection capability is received from the server. If the determination at step S1032 is yes, the process proceeds to step S1033. In step S1033, connection with the second communication terminal is automatically re-requested. On the other hand, if the determination at step S1032 is no, the process returns to step S1031 to continue the listening.
Next, the case of the second embodiment will be described in detail with reference to fig. 3. As shown in fig. 3, in the second embodiment, the step S103 further includes the steps of:
first, in step S1031', connection with the second communication terminal is requested, and the connection state with the second communication terminal is determined in synchronization. Here, it should be noted that the processing of step S1031' is automatically performed at specific time intervals.
Then, in step S1032', the connection state with the second communication terminal is judged. If it is determined in step S1032 that the connection state with the second communication terminal is "waiting for response", the process proceeds to step S105 in fig. 1. If it is determined in step S1032 'that the connection state with the second communication terminal is still "connectionless", the process returns to step S1031'.
Here, it is to be noted that there is a period of time between determining that the connection state with the second communication terminal is "waiting for response" from the connection with the second communication terminal being newly requested. In this time period no prompt information is output to the user, i.e. no prompt, silent initiation of the connection.
Finally, the case of the third embodiment will be described in detail with reference to fig. 4. As shown in fig. 4, in the third embodiment, the step S103 further includes the steps of:
first, in step S1031 ", a listening instruction is transmitted to the server. Similarly to the first embodiment, the server listens for the status of the second communication terminal after receiving a listening instruction. However, unlike the first embodiment, when the state of the second communication terminal becomes "connectable", connection requests are simultaneously issued to the first communication terminal and the second communication terminal.
Then, in step S1032 ″, it is determined whether the connection request is received from the server. If it is determined at step S1032 ″ that the connection request is received, the process proceeds to S105 in FIG. 1 to output prompt information to the user. Otherwise, continuing to judge.
Unlike step 103, the processing of step S103' can be performed only by the manner of the second embodiment. That is, when the state at the time of the initial connection attempt with the second communication terminal is "connection not responded", the process of step S103' can be performed only by reconnecting every predetermined time, and when the connection state with the second communication terminal is "connection and response", the prompt information is output to the first communication terminal.
In the above, a specific flow of the communication connection method according to the embodiment of the present invention has been described with reference to fig. 1 to 4. By the method, the problem of intelligent automatic callback when connection cannot be performed can be solved. It should be noted that the "prompt message" described above may be the same as the prompt message when the call comes, such as ringing. In this way, when the first communication terminal automatically makes a callback after the second communication terminal is connectable, the user of the first communication terminal feels as if an incoming call to the second communication terminal is received. Of course, the above mentioned "prompt message" may be different from the prompt message at the time of the incoming call.
In fact, after outputting the prompt information to the user, the communication connection method may further include other subsequent steps. For example, after the prompt information is output to the user, it may also be determined whether it is necessary to stop the output of the prompt information, or to output a predetermined audio to the first communication terminal in a case where the first communication terminal has responded and the second communication terminal has not responded, or to perform muting at the first communication terminal in a case where the first communication terminal has not responded and the second communication terminal has responded.
Fig. 5 shows one example of the processing after step S105 in fig. 1. As shown in fig. 5, in step S106, it is determined whether an instruction to stop the output of the guidance information is received from the user of the first communication terminal, that is, whether the first communication terminal responds. If it is determined in step S106 that the instruction has been received, the process proceeds to step S107. In step S107, the connection state with the second communication terminal is judged. If it is determined in step S107 that the connection state with the second communication terminal is the connection unresponsiveness, the process proceeds to step S108. In step S108, a first predetermined audio is played. For example, the first predetermined audio is used to alert a user of the first communication terminal that the second communication terminal is not responding. On the other hand, if it is determined in step S107 that the connection state with the second communication terminal is "connected and responded", no additional processing is required, and the processing ends.
If it is determined in step S106 that the instruction has not been received, the process proceeds to step S109. In step S109, the connection state with the second communication terminal is determined. If it is determined in step S109 that the connection state with the second communication terminal is connected and responded, the process proceeds to step S110. At this time, since the second communication terminal has responded, a call has already been established between the first communication terminal and the second communication terminal, but the user of the first communication terminal does not see the prompt information so far, for example, due to busy something else. In order to prevent the transmission of undesired information to the second communication terminal, a mute operation is performed at step S110. In addition, a second predetermined audio may be further transmitted to the second communication terminal. For example, the second predetermined audio is used to prompt a user of the second communication terminal for a reminder, etc. If it is determined in step S109 that the connection state with the second communication terminal is the connection unresponsiveness, the process proceeds to step S111. In step S111, it is determined whether a predetermined period of time has elapsed. If it is determined in step S111 that the predetermined period of time has elapsed, the process ends. If it is determined in step S111 that the predetermined period of time has not elapsed, the process returns to step S106.
Here, it is to be noted that, in fig. 5, the branch from step S109 to S111 is directed to the case of the first embodiment and the second embodiment described above. In the third embodiment, since the connection is established only in the case where both sides respond, if the first communication terminal does not respond and the second communication terminal responds, the connection is not established at this time, no processing is performed at the first communication terminal, and a notification prompting, for example, that the connection is not established is sent by the server to the second communication terminal.
For example, when the user of the first communication terminal receives an instruction to stop the output of the guidance information (regardless of whether the second communication terminal responds or not), or when it is determined that the connection state with the second communication terminal becomes "connection unresponsive" and an instruction to stop the output of the guidance information is not received from the user of the first communication terminal, or when it is determined that the connection state with the second communication terminal is "connection and responsive" (regardless of whether an instruction to stop the output of the guidance information is received from the user of the first communication terminal), or when both responses have not been received after a predetermined period of time has elapsed, the output of the guidance information is stopped.
In the above, specific procedures of the communication connection method according to the embodiment of the present invention have been described in detail with reference to fig. 1 to 5. Next, a configuration of a communication terminal according to an embodiment of the present invention will be described with reference to fig. 6.
As shown in fig. 6, the communication terminal 600 includes: a connection requesting unit 601, a connection state judging unit 602, a control unit 603, and a presentation unit 604.
The connection requesting unit 601 requests connection to the second communication terminal in accordance with an instruction from the user.
The connection state determination unit 602 is configured to determine a connection state with the second communication terminal.
When the connection state determination unit 602 determines that the connection state with the second communication terminal is "unable to connect" at the first timing, the control unit 603 controls so that the connection request unit 601 automatically reestablishes a connection with the second communication terminal at an appropriate timing.
When the connection state determination unit 602 determines that the connection state with the second communication terminal is "waiting for response" at the second timing, the control unit 603 causes the presentation unit 604 to output presentation information to the user. Wherein the second time is later than the first time.
Or, as described hereinabove, alternatively, when the connection state determination unit 602 determines that the connection state with the second communication terminal is "connection unresponsive" at the first timing, the control unit 603 controls so that the connection request unit 601 automatically reestablishes the connection with the second communication terminal at an appropriate timing.
When the connection state determination unit 602 determines that the connection state with the second communication terminal is "connection and response" at the second timing, the control unit 603 causes the presentation unit 604 to output presentation information to the user. Wherein the second time is later than the first time.
As described hereinabove, the manner in which the control unit 603 controls so that the connection requesting unit 601 automatically reestablishes a connection with the second communication terminal at an appropriate timing has three embodiments.
In the first embodiment, the communication terminal 600 further includes a communication unit 605 for sending a listening instruction to the server. Wherein the server listens for the state of the second communication terminal after receiving the listening instruction, and transmits a connection-capable notification to the first communication terminal when the state of the second communication terminal becomes "connection-capable state". Also, the communication unit 605 is further configured to receive the notification from the server. After the communication unit 605 receives the notification, the control unit 603 controls the connection requesting unit to automatically re-request connection with the second communication terminal.
In the second embodiment, the control unit 603 controls the connection requesting unit 601 to automatically request connection with the second communication terminal at specific time intervals, and the connection state judging unit 602 determines the connection state with the second communication terminal in synchronization with the automatic request connection.
When the connection requesting unit 601 newly requests connection with the second communication terminal and the connection state judging unit 602 determines that the connection state with the second communication terminal is "waiting for response" at this time, the control unit 603 causes the presenting unit 604 to output presentation information to the user.
Here, it is to be noted that the prompting unit does not output the prompting information to the user in the period between the determination of the connection state with the second communication terminal from the re-request to the second communication terminal as "waiting for response".
In a third embodiment, the communication terminal 600 further includes: and the communication unit is used for sending a monitoring instruction to the server. Wherein the server listens for the state of the second communication terminal after receiving the listening instruction, and simultaneously issues a connection request to the first communication terminal and the second communication terminal when the state of the second communication terminal becomes "connectable". Also, the communication unit 605 is further configured to receive the connection request from the server. Wherein, when the communication unit 605 receives a connection request from the server, the prompting unit 604 outputs prompting information to the user.
It should be noted that the above alternative is applicable only to the second embodiment.
As described hereinabove, the control unit 603 can further determine whether or not the output of the guidance information needs to be stopped.
For example, when the user of the first communication terminal receives an instruction to stop the output of the guidance information (regardless of whether the second communication terminal responds or not), or when it is determined that the connection state with the second communication terminal becomes "connection unresponsive" and an instruction to stop the output of the guidance information is not received from the user of the first communication terminal, or when it is determined that the connection state with the second communication terminal is "connection and responsive" (regardless of whether an instruction to stop the output of the guidance information is received from the user of the first communication terminal), or when both responses have not been received after a predetermined period of time has elapsed, the control unit 603 determines that the output of the guidance information needs to be stopped.
When an instruction to stop the output of the guidance information is received from the user of the first communication terminal and it is determined that the connection state with the second communication terminal is "connection not responded", the control unit 603 controls to play the first predetermined audio. For example, the first predetermined audio is used to alert a user of the first communication terminal that the second communication terminal is not responding.
When it is judged that the connection state with the second communication terminal is "connected and responded", and an instruction to stop the output of the prompt information is not received from the user of the first communication terminal, the control unit performs a mute operation. And, the control unit 603 causes the communication unit 605 to transmit the second predetermined audio to the second communication terminal.
The communication connection method and the communication terminal according to the embodiment of the present invention have been described in detail so far. The key of the invention is to provide a background service which can monitor the state of the user after being authorized by the user. For example, when the user a does not successfully request the connection to the user B due to the busy or power-off of the user B, the intelligent automatic callback is performed through the monitoring state, and when the call is completed, the prompt information (such as ring) is output to the user a, and at this time, the user a can directly pick up the telephone call, so that repeated dialing attempts are not needed, and the calling party can be kept unchanged.
