In a typical embodiment, a querying user is asked to respond to a series of questions related to goals, criteria, and criteria priorities (and, optionally, a desired "degree" of separation among other users). A method for configuring a system to match a user in the social network environment, the method comprising: providing a computer infrastructure a computer system, the computer infrastructure operable to: receive a query from a user or more target and the one or more objects stored in an electronic storage medium; providing one or more selection criteria to the querying user; receiving a response to the at least one selection criterion of said one or more selection criteria and in the said response to the electronic storage medium is stored; based on the response of the one or more selection criteria to prioritize; a search based on the selection criteria a set of goals and the prioritized in the social network to a set of query a set of candidate user cooperation to achieve the goal of one or more; and each candidate based on the set of candidate user with the user in a set of goals and the possibility of matching the response to the set of candidate user sort.
