Description

盛装液体用的瓶子
本发明一般涉及盛装液体用的瓶子,更具体地说,涉及与分配系统联用的盛装和分配液体用的瓶子。
过去分配系统使用盛装一定量待分配的液体的瓶子。在本发明特别指向的重量供给液体分配系统中,瓶子被贮存在直立位置中,然后倒立,以便通过分配系统从瓶子分配液体。
在许多用途中精确地控制被分配的液体量很重要。此类液体在稀释前经常需要稀释,为了经济和安全,希望能精确地控制稀释率。这对于分配系统用的常规瓶子的设计有些难于达到。
题为“糖浆容器或类似物品”的美国外观设计专利№298,514中公开了一种示范性的瓶子。根据这一外观设计专利的瓶子可从美国康涅狄格州特鲁姆布尔(Trumbull)的苏打梅特公司(SodamateEnterprises)买到,用于其100型重力输送液体分配系统并具有0.667升的容量。此种瓶子是用合适的聚合物材料如高密度聚乙烯注塑/吹模制成的,通常具有0.46毫米的壁厚。此类瓶子虽然挺实用,但在使用时有些受到限制,因为它们容量有限,需要相当频繁地替换或重新注满。
可以使用容量较大的瓶子。但是,在容量较大的常规瓶子中,壁厚对容积的比例减小到一个点,此时当瓶子倒立而分配瓶中盛装的液体时产生的“瘪陷”(“Paneling”)。
美国专利US 4,691,822公开一种瓶子,该瓶子具有一个握持件系统,该瓶子包括一个肩部,该肩部适宜于支持该握持件。但是,该肩部在其握柄部分和该容器之间所提供的作用,不是用以抵抗瘪陷,而是用以将之插入在该握持件中以便将该瓶子固定在一幅墙的垂直位置上。
对于本发明的目的,术语“瘪陷”指瓶子的壁向内或向外偏移而使液体从瓶子分配的速率产生波动。瘪陷通常对倒立的瓶子正在分配液体时产生。当倒立瓶子中的液体高度降低时,在瓶子内液体高度上方的“头部空间”中逐渐产生一个部分真空。瓶子的壁在部分真空的影响下逐渐地向内偏移。这种偏移起延迟液体从瓶子流出的作用。偏移增大,直到达到一个点,在这点上一个液体量迅速地从瓶子分配出来而壁快速地向外弯曲,从而使头部空间中的压力与周围压力相等。#S由瘪陷而造成的液体从瓶子流出的波动妨碍精确地计量液体从瓶子的分配。其次,如果瓶子手动地接合和挤压,瘪陷可能会加重。如果瓶子被用于与分配系统结合以便以受控方式从瓶子中分配液体,或同时用于用一或多种其它液体稀释该液体,那么瘪陷特别成问题。
或者是,可以增大较大容量的瓶子的壁厚以抵抗瘪陷。但是,这可能不完全成功,并会增大瓶子的重量和花费。
常规的分配系统和与其一起使用的瓶子不能提供一种具有足够容量而又能避免瘪陷及随后不能精确地从瓶子分配液体的问题的瓶子。
本发明公开了一种盛装液体用的瓶子,该瓶子包括一个具有空腔和小孔的瓶体,该空腔用于容纳一定量的液体,该小孔连通空腔和瓶体外部。提供了一种机构,用于当瓶子处于倒立位置而液体正通过小孔分配时抵抗瘪陷。该瓶子同时包括一对隔开的握持面,用于手持握紧,以操作瓶子运转于小孔向上的直立位置和小孔向下的倒立位置之间。
在本发明的一个实施例中,抵抗瘪陷用的机构包括一个在每个握持面和小孔之间的瓶体中形成的肩部,在该处这两个肩部使瓶体变硬,从而当瓶体倒立而液体正分配时抵抗瘪陷。
该瓶子可以额外地包括许多个从每个握持面突出的肋条,以便于手持握住和操作瓶子。

现在参照图1-5,图中示出根据本发明的一种瓶子10。该瓶子包括上侧部16上的瓶颈14中的小孔12,该小孔12连通瓶子的内部和外部,用于通过瓶子内腔18中的液体。虽然该瓶子通常可以制成任何合适的形状(例如圆筒形),但在本发明的图示实施例中,该瓶子大体为矩形,包括第一和第二侧面20、22与端部24、26以及底部30。
提供了一种作为本发明一部分的机构以抵抗瘪陷,后者定义如前所述。“抵抗”意味着当瓶子倒立而液体被分配时瘪陷减小或消失。在本发明的图示实施例中,瘪陷控制机构取肩部35的形式,后者将第一和第二侧面20、22的上部20a、22a与一对平行的横向间隔的握持面36、38隔开。上部20a、22a互相隔开一个比握持面36、38的间隔更大的距离。肩部35或者瓶子形状或几何构型的任何相似的突然变化起增强瓶子侧面以抵抗瘪陷的作用。如可从图1、2、3看到,肩部不需要完全是直线(例如中部为横向的,但相对的两端部为向上倾斜),而只要在瓶子的握持面36、38和小孔14之间以大体横向的方式延伸过第一和第二侧面。
所需的抵抗瘪陷的程度由瓶子的构造因素(包括但不限于:材料,壁厚,以及容量)决定。因此,本发明的瓶子10的壁厚、重量和费用可以比为了抵抗瘪陷而在另一种情况下可能采用的更小。如上面所讨论的,常规的分配系统所用的瓶子必须或者是减小瓶子的容量,或者是增加壁厚从而增加瓶子的重量和费用以避免瘪陷,而且即使这样,在有效地抵抗瘪陷方面可能仍然是不完全成功的。握持面36、38适用于手持握住和操作瓶子。如图1和图2中特别表示的,握持面36、38便于手持握住和操作瓶子10。本发明的瓶子可以用于手持地分配液体,或者可以与其它类型的分配系统如正排放系统或文杜里效应液体分配系统一起使用。在本发明的优选实施例中,该瓶子与同一天申请的题为“重力供给液体分配系统”的审查中的美国专利说明书中说明和提出权利要求的分配系统一起使用,该专利的内容在此处参照包括:
最方便的是,握持面36、38包括许多根平行的横向的肋40,如图3和图4中特别表示的。肋40的尺寸、构造和位置能最有利地便于手握瓶子完成倒立状态(如图1和2中顺序表示的)和将瓶子安装到分配系统上。或者是,握持表面36、38可用其它方法做成更有利于握住瓶子,如将表面制成花纹或粗糙化。
可以理解,肋40也可以制成帮助肩部35抵抗握持面36、38中的瘪陷,从而形成抵抗瘪陷的机构。如果(例如)肋形成于握持面的内侧面上(例如在空腔18内),那么此种对瘪陷的抵抗将会显示出来,而在握持面的外表面上形成其它机构,以如上所述地有利于手持握住和操作瓶子。最好包括肋40的抵抗瘪陷用的机构从而起抵抗当瓶子被手握时受挤压产生的瘪陷,例如当倒立瓶子或使瓶子与分配系统接合时产生的瘪陷。
本发明的瓶子10可以以任何合适的方式和任何合适的材料制成,但最好用聚合物材料如高密度聚乙烯、低密度聚乙烯、聚乙烯、聚氯乙烯、聚苯乙烯之类制成。可以认识到,选定制造瓶子的材料必须与瓶子预定容纳和分配的液体兼容。最好瓶子是用吹塑成型、注塑成型或注塑/吹塑成型或技术中已知的任何其它合适的工艺制成的整体模制件。
作为例子,前面说明过的与100型液体分配系统一起使用的常规的苏打梅特牌瓶子具有0.667升的容量,是用高密度聚乙烯制成的,具有0.46mm的壁厚。一种根据本发明用高密度聚乙烯制成的瓶子可以做成具有2.0升的容量和0.46和6.6mm之间的壁厚。可以相信,一种用高密度聚乙烯制成的具有2.0升容量的常规瓶子必须有至少1.0mm的壁厚才可使用,而且即使那么厚其抵抗瘪陷的能力还可能不如本发明的瓶子。
本发明的瓶子被设计成与控制通过小孔的液流用的装置如阀帽42联用。阀帽42可以以技术中已知方式以液体密封方式通过紧扣闭合装置固定在瓶子上,该紧扣闭合装置包括圆环44。或者是,阀帽42可以通过螺旋固定在瓶子上,或者通过任何其它合适的液体密封装置固定在瓶子上。
阀帽42可以是任何合适的结构,但最好是题为“液体分配阀”的美国专利№4,408,701中公开的,其内容参照合并于此。这种阀帽包括安装在小孔上方瓶子上的一部分和可以转动地安装在第一部分上的另一部分。该阀帽可以通过第一和第二部分的相对转动而在开放和关闭位置之间移动以分配液体。最好是,阀帽制成可以计量从瓶子出来的液流。

Claims (1)

1.一种与液体分配系统一起使用的瓶子(10),包括一个瓶体,该瓶体具有:

一个容纳一定量液体的内部空腔(18);
一个在上述空腔(18)和瓶体外部之间连通的小孔(12);
其特征在于:

一对握持面(36、38)包括许多个平行的横向肋(40),它们起抵抗瘪陷的作用,并且适合于手持紧握瓶子(10)而在上述小孔(12)向上的直立位置和上述小孔(12)向下的倒立位置之间进行操作;
