Detailed Description
In order to make the objects, technical solutions and advantages of the embodiments of the present invention clearer, the technical solutions in the embodiments of the present invention will be clearly and completely described below with reference to the drawings in the embodiments of the present invention, and it is obvious that the described embodiments are some, but not all, embodiments of the present invention. All other embodiments, which can be derived by a person skilled in the art from the embodiments given herein without making any creative effort, shall fall within the protection scope of the present invention.
Fig. 1 is a flowchart illustrating a session recovery method according to an embodiment of the present invention, where an execution main body of the embodiment is a backup PCRF, and the embodiment includes:
101: a standby PCRF receives a Credit Control request update (CCR-U) message sent by a PCEF, wherein the CCR-U message is sent by the PCEF after the PCEF determines that a session needs to be updated;
102: and the standby PCRF reestablishes a session according to the CCR-U message and carries out PCC policy decision.
Accordingly, the flow executed by the PCEF is shown in fig. 2, and includes:
201: the PCEF determines that a session update is required;
202: and the PCEF sends a CCR-U message to the standby PCRF, so that the standby PCRF reestablishes a session according to the CCR-U message and carries out PCC policy decision.
The condition that the PCEF determines that the session update is required may be: and receiving an IP-CAN session updating request sent by an access network, or overtime an internal timer, and the like.
Optionally, the PCEF may include user information and an original PCC rule in a CCR-U message sent to the standby PCRF, and after receiving the CCR-U message, the standby PCRF may reestablish a session according to the user information, and determine the original PCC rule as a PCC rule after the standby PCRF performs a PCC policy decision, or the standby PCRF may also obtain the PCC rule according to the user information and subscription information, where the obtained PCC rule may be the same as or different from the original PCC rule. The original PCC rule may be sent by the primary PCRF to the PCEF during an initial establishment of an IP-Connectivity Access Network (IP-CAN) session, or the original PCC rule may be an updated PCC rule on the primary PCRF, that is, the primary PCRF may be sent to the PCEF during an update of an IP-CAN session. The session in the embodiment of the invention refers to an IP-CAN session.
Correspondingly, when the PCC rule obtained by the standby PCRF is the same as the original PCC rule sent by the PCEF, the standby PCRF may only send a response message, i.e., a CCA-U message, to the PCEF, where the CCA-U message may not carry the PCC rule, and the PCEF still uses the original PCC rule for charging and policy control when receiving the CCA-U message. When the PCC rule obtained by the standby PCRF is different from the original PCC rule sent by the PCEF, the CCA-U message sent by the standby PCRF to the PCEF may carry a new PCC rule, and then the PCEF performs charging and policy control according to the new PCC rule.
Optionally, the PCEF may also not send the original PCC rule to the standby PCRF, but the standby PCRF reconstructs the session according to the user information in the CCR-U message, performs a PCC policy decision according to the user information and the subscription information to obtain the PCC rule, and obtains the session recovery indication information according to the configuration information, where the PCC rule may be the same as or different from the original PCC rule of the PCEF, the subscription information may be configured locally on the PCRF or obtained from other devices, and the configuration information may be configured locally on the PCRF. The session recovery indication information is used to indicate a processing manner of the PCEF on the original bearer and the policy, for example, the original bearer and the policy are kept unchanged, or the policy of the dedicated bearer is deactivated and the default bearer is deactivated. For details, reference may be made to the following examples.
In this embodiment, after the PCEF sends the CCR-U message to the standby PCRF, the standby PCRF reconstructs a session and performs a PCC policy decision according to the CCR-U message, and the main PCRF does not need to perform hot backup on the standby PCRF in real time, so that signaling interaction can be reduced, and the signaling processing capability of the standby PCRF is improved.
Fig. 3 is a flowchart illustrating a session recovery method according to another embodiment of the present invention, including:
301: a link A between the PCEF and the PCRF A is activated and used;
302: a link B between the PCEF and the PCRF B is activated and standby;
303: the access network sends an IP-CAN session establishment request to the PCEF;
304: the PCEF sends a Credit Control Request Initial (CCR-I) message to the PCRF a, where the message carries user information.
305: and the PCRF A establishes a session and carries out PCC policy decision.
306: PCRF A sends a Credit Control Answer Initial (CCA-I) message to PCEF, wherein the CCA message comprises a PCC rule and a triggering event (event-Trigger) list;
307: the PCEF installs a PCC rule and monitors a trigger event;
the PCC rules in 306 and 307 may be initial PCC rules.
308: the PCEF sends an IP-CAN session establishment response to the access network;
to this end, the initial establishment of the IP-CAN session is completed, and the detailed contents of the above steps CAN refer to the prior art.
309: link a down between PCEF and PCRF a;
310: a link B between the PCEF and the PCRF B is kept activated and switched to be a main use;
311: the access network sends an IP-CAN session updating request to the PCEF;
312: the PCEF sends a CCR-U message to PCRF B, including user information and initial PCC rules.
Similar to the prior art, when the link on the primary PCRF fails, the primary link between the PCRF and the PCEF is switched to the standby PCRF. In the prior art, in order to ensure data consistency on the primary and secondary PCRFs, the PCRF a not only reports the initial PCC rule to the PCEF, but also sends the initial PCC rule to the secondary PCRF, that is, a real-time hot backup is required between the primary and secondary PCRFs.
Different from the prior art, the embodiment does not require real-time hot backup between the main and standby PCRF, that is, the PCRF a may only send the initial PCC rule to the PCEF and does not send it to the PCRF B. And when the IP-CAN session needs to be updated, the PCEF sends the initial PCC rules to the PCRF B.
313: and the PCRF B reestablishes the session and carries out PCC policy decision.
The PCRF B can judge whether to store the corresponding session information according to the user information in the CCR-U message, and if the corresponding session information does not exist, the session can be reestablished according to the user information. The specific principle of establishing the session may be the same as the principle of establishing the session by the PCRF a according to the user information in the CCR-I message.
The PCC policy decision by PCRF B may include: determining an initial PCC rule contained in the CCR-U message as a PCC rule on a PCRF B; or, the PCRF B performs a new PCC policy decision according to the user information and the subscription information to obtain a new PCC rule. The principle of the specific PCC policy decision may be the same as the principle of the PCC policy decision performed after the PCRF a receives the CCR-I message. In addition, as the PCRF B is in the update procedure, the user information carried in the CCR-U and the user information carried in the CCR-I may be different, the new PCC rule obtained by the PCRF B may be different from the initial PCC rule.
When the PCRF B adopts the initial PCC rule, it can be ensured that the policy information of the user is unchanged, so as to ensure that the service experience of the user is unchanged.
314: PCRF B sends a Credit Control Answer Update (CCA-U) message to PCEF.
Optionally, if the PCRF B determines to adopt the initial PCC rule after the PCC policy decision, the PCRF B may only feed back a CCA-U message to the PCEF, where the CCA-U message does not carry the PCC rule and is only used as a response message; after receiving the CCA-U message, the PCEF keeps the original bearer and policy unchanged, i.e., continues to use the initial PCC rule for charging and policy control. Or,
optionally, if the PCRF B determines a new PCC rule after the PCC policy decision, the PCRF B may send the new PCC rule to the PCEF, and the PCEF performs charging and policy control according to the new PCC rule.
315: the PCEF sends an IP-CAN session update response to the access network.
In this embodiment, the PCEF reports the initial PCC rule to the PCRF B as an example. It can be understood that Gx failover may also occur in a scenario where the PCC rule on the PCEF has been updated, instead of the initial PCC rule, for example, an update procedure has occurred between the PCEF and the PCRF a, then the PCC rule sent by the PCEF to the PCRF B in 312 is the updated PCC rule, that is, the original PCC rule of the PCEF, and then the PCC rule adopted by the PCRF B may be the original PCC rule or a new PCC rule obtained after a new PCC policy decision is made.
In this embodiment, the PCEF sends the initial PCC rule to the standby PCRF, so that session recovery on the standby PCRF can be implemented without requiring real-time hot backup of the main and standby PCRFs, thereby reducing signaling overhead.
Fig. 4 is a flowchart illustrating a session recovery method according to another embodiment of the present invention, including:
401: a link A between the PCEF and the PCRF A is activated and used;
402: a link B between the PCEF and the PCRF B is activated and standby;
