Detailed Description
It should be understood that the specific embodiments described herein are merely illustrative of the invention and are not intended to limit the invention.
Referring to fig. 1, a first embodiment of the method for controlling the dynamic operation of a wifi chip of the present invention is provided, the method comprising the following steps:
step S101: obtaining rate of wifi network
The terminal can acquire the speed of the current wifi network by detecting the network port or the radio frequency information, and preferably acquires the speed of the wifi network by detecting the speed of the current uploading or downloading data. Specifically, the terminal continuously collects rate data of the wifi network within a preset time period, calculates an average value of the collected rate data within the preset time period, and takes the average value as the current rate of the wifi network. The terminal can detect the speed of the wifi network once every a period of time so as to realize real-time monitoring of the network speed and real-time control of dynamic operation of the wifi chip according to the network speed. The rate may be an uplink rate or a downlink rate, and preferably the downlink rate is obtained.
Step S102: judging whether the rate of the wifi network is less than or equal to a first threshold value
The terminal presets a threshold value, namely a first threshold value, which can be set as required, and the user can also set by self-definition, for example, set to 10K/S-50K/S. If the current rate of the wifi network is judged to be less than or equal to the first threshold, the step S103 is executed; if the current working frequency is larger than the first threshold value, ignoring the operation, and keeping the current working frequency of the wifi chip to operate or controlling the wifi chip to operate at full speed.
Step S103: controlling the wifi chip to stop running
When the speed of the wifi network is smaller than or equal to the first threshold value, the terminal considers that the current network environment can not meet the user requirements completely, and therefore the wifi chip is closed to control the wifi chip to stop running, unnecessary loss of the electric quantity of the terminal is prevented, power consumption is reduced, and the cruising ability of the terminal is improved.
Referring to fig. 2, a second embodiment of the method for controlling the dynamic operation of the wifi chip of the present invention is provided, the method includes the following steps:
step S201: obtaining rate of wifi network
Step S202: judging the rate of the wifi network
The terminal is preset with two threshold values, which are a first threshold value and a second threshold value respectively, and the first threshold value is smaller than the second threshold value. The first threshold and the second threshold can be set according to needs, and the user can also set by self, for example, the first threshold is set to be 10K/S-50K/S, and the second threshold is set to be 100K/S-300K/S. Comparing the rate of the wifi network with a first threshold and a second threshold, and if the rate of the wifi network is less than or equal to the first threshold, entering step S203; if the rate of the wifi network is between the first threshold and the second threshold, step S204 is performed; if the rate of the wifi network is greater than or equal to the second threshold, go to step S205.
Step S203: controlling the wifi chip to stop running
When the speed of the wifi network is smaller than or equal to the first threshold value, the terminal considers that the wifi network signal is very poor, the current network environment can not meet the user requirements completely, and therefore the wifi chip is closed to control the wifi chip to stop running, unnecessary loss of the electric quantity of the terminal is prevented, power consumption is reduced, and the cruising ability of the terminal is improved.
Step S204: controlling the wifi chip to operate in a frequency reducing mode
When the speed of the wifi network is between the first threshold and the second threshold, the terminal considers the wifi network signal to be general, but can still guarantee the lower network speed requirement. This kind of situation generally takes place in wifi signal unstability, and the condition that user handheld terminal velocity of motion is faster. At the moment, the terminal reduces the working frequency of the wifi chip and controls the wifi chip to run at a lower working frequency, so that power consumption is reduced. If the working frequency of the wifi chip running at full speed is 100MHz, the frequency can be below 80MHz after being reduced.
Further, in this case, the present invention can also perform more precise control on the wifi chip according to the actual situation, rather than just operating the wifi chip at a fixed lower frequency.
For example, the terminal determines whether the user is operating the terminal by detecting whether the screen is lit, whether a web page is browsed, whether a touch or key instruction or other events are received, and if any one or more combined events of the screen is lit, the web page is browsed, the touch or key instruction is received, it is determined that the user is operating the terminal, otherwise, it is determined that the user is not operating the terminal. If the fact that the user is operating the terminal currently is judged, the fact that the user has a strong intention of accessing the network is considered, so that the wifi chip is controlled to run at a higher position in the low frequency, namely the wifi chip is controlled to run at a preset first frequency, power consumption is reduced, and the internet access requirement of the user is met; if the user is judged not to have an operation terminal currently or for a long time (for example, the user hangs up wifi to download a movie when having a rest or the user does not use the terminal currently), in this case, the terminal judges that the user does not have a strong demand for using the network, so that the wifi chip is controlled to operate at a lower frequency in the low frequency, that is, the wifi chip is controlled to operate at a preset second frequency. Assuming that the operation frequency of the wifi chip running at full speed is 100MHz, the first frequency may be set to 70MHz, and the second frequency may be set to 40 MHz.
In another example, the working frequency of the wifi chip can be adjusted more accurately according to the rate of the wifi network. Specifically, the speed range of the wifi network is divided more finely, the working frequency of the wifi chip is gradually reduced along with the reduction of the speed of the wifi network, and the wifi chip is closed and stops running until the speed of the wifi network is smaller than or equal to a first threshold value.
Step S205: controlling wifi chip to run at full speed
And when the rate of the wifi network is greater than or equal to the second threshold value, the terminal considers that the current wifi network signal is good and the uplink or downlink rate is high. At the moment, the terminal controls the wifi chip to run at full speed, and uploading or downloading work is finished in the fastest time. This situation typically occurs in fixed locations, where the terminal is relatively stationary, such as in the home, office, public places covered by wifi signals, etc.
The method and the device can display the interface elements to a user for selection according to the strategy of controlling the dynamic operation of the wifi chip in real time according to the speed of the wifi network, and the user can dynamically select whether to use the strategy according to the requirement. Or, a master switch is arranged to allow a user to turn on or off the function of controlling the dynamic operation of the wifi chip.
Therefore, the method for controlling the dynamic operation of the wifi chip dynamically adjusts the working frequency of the wifi chip by monitoring the rate of the wifi network in real time so as to control the dynamic operation of the wifi chip. The internet surfing requirement of the user can be met, the wifi power consumption of the terminal can be optimized, the power consumption of the terminal is reduced, and the cruising ability of the terminal is improved.
Referring to fig. 3, an embodiment of the terminal of the present invention is provided, where the terminal is a device having a wifi chip and capable of receiving a wifi signal to perform wireless internet access, and the terminal includes a rate obtaining module and a control module. Wherein,
a rate acquisition module: the method is used for acquiring the rate of the wifi network.
The rate obtaining module can obtain the rate of the current wifi network by detecting a network port or radio frequency information, and preferably obtains the rate of the wifi network by detecting the speed of currently uploading or downloading data. Specifically, the rate acquisition module continuously acquires rate data of the wifi network within a preset time period, calculates an average value of the acquired rate data within the preset time period, and takes the average value as the current rate of the wifi network. The obtaining module can detect the speed of the wifi network once every a period of time so as to realize real-time monitoring of the network speed and real-time control of dynamic operation of the wifi chip according to the network speed. The rate may be an uplink rate or a downlink rate, and preferably the downlink rate is obtained.
A control module: the method is used for controlling the running state of the wifi chip according to the rate of the wifi network.
In some embodiments, the terminal presets a threshold value, i.e. a first threshold value, which may be set as needed, or may be set by a user in a self-defined manner, for example, set to 10K/S to 50K/S. The control module judges whether the speed of the wifi network is smaller than or equal to a first threshold value, if the current speed of the wifi network is larger than the first threshold value, the speed is ignored, the wifi chip keeps the current working frequency to operate, or the acquisition module controls the wifi chip to operate at full speed; if the current speed of the wifi network is judged to be less than or equal to the first threshold value, the current network environment is considered to be incapable of meeting the user requirements completely, and therefore the control module closes the wifi chip and controls the wifi chip to stop running, unnecessary loss of electric quantity is prevented, power consumption is reduced, and cruising ability of the terminal is improved.
In other embodiments, the terminal presets two threshold values, which are a first threshold value and a second threshold value, respectively, and the first threshold value is smaller than the second threshold value. The first threshold and the second threshold can be set according to needs, and the user can also set by self, for example, the first threshold is set to be 10K/S-50K/S, and the second threshold is set to be 100K/S-300K/S. The control module compares the rate of the wifi network to a first threshold and a second threshold. If the speed of the wifi network is smaller than or equal to the first threshold value, the control module considers that the wifi network signal is very poor, the current network environment can not meet the user requirements completely, the wifi chip is closed, the wifi chip is controlled to stop running, unnecessary loss of the electric quantity of the terminal is prevented, power consumption is reduced, and the cruising ability of the terminal is improved. If the speed of the wifi network is between the first threshold value and the second threshold value, the control module considers that the wifi network signal is general, but still can guarantee the lower network speed requirement, the situation generally occurs that the wifi signal is unstable, the user holds the condition that the terminal movement speed is fast, at this moment, the control module reduces the working frequency of the wifi chip, and controls the wifi chip to operate at the lower working frequency, so that the power consumption is reduced, and if the working frequency of the wifi chip operating at full speed is 100MHz, the frequency reduction can be below 80 MHz. If the speed of the wifi network is larger than or equal to the second threshold value, the control module considers that the current wifi network signal is good, the uplink speed or the downlink speed is fast, the control module controls the wifi chip to run at full speed, uploading or downloading work is completed in the fastest time, the situation generally occurs in fixed places, and the terminal is relatively static, such as homes, offices, public places covered by wifi signals, and the like.
Further, when the speed of the wifi network is between the first threshold and the second threshold, the control module can also perform more precise control on the wifi chip according to the actual situation, rather than only making the wifi chip operate at a fixed lower frequency.
For example, the control module determines whether the user is operating the terminal by detecting whether the screen is lit, whether a web page is browsed, whether a touch or key instruction or other events are received, and if any one or more combined events of the screen is lit, the web page is browsed, the touch or key instruction is received, the user is determined to be operating the terminal, otherwise, the user is determined not. If the fact that the user is operating the terminal currently is judged, the control module considers that the user has a strong intention of accessing the network, so that the wifi chip is controlled to run at a higher position in the low frequency, namely the wifi chip is controlled to run at a preset first frequency, power consumption is reduced, and the internet access requirement of the user is met; if the user is judged to have no operation terminal currently or for a long time (for example, the user hangs up wifi to download a movie when having a rest or the user does not use the terminal currently), in this case, the control module judges that the user has no strong demand for using the network, so that the wifi chip is controlled to operate at a lower frequency in the low frequency, that is, the wifi chip is controlled to operate at a preset second frequency. Assuming that the operation frequency of the wifi chip running at full speed is 100MHz, the first frequency may be set to 70MHz, and the second frequency may be set to 40 MHz.
For another example, the control module can also perform more accurate adjustment on the operating frequency of the wifi chip according to the rate of the wifi network. Specifically, the control module divides the speed range of the wifi network more finely, gradually reduces the working frequency of the wifi chip along with the reduction of the speed of the wifi network, and closes the wifi chip until the speed of the wifi network is smaller than or equal to a first threshold value, and stops the operation of the wifi chip.
Therefore, the terminal dynamically adjusts the working frequency of the wifi chip by monitoring the speed of the wifi network in real time so as to control the wifi chip to operate dynamically. The internet surfing requirement of the user can be met, wifi power consumption of the terminal can be optimized, and the cruising ability of the terminal is improved.
It will be understood by those skilled in the art that all or part of the steps in the method for implementing the above embodiments may be implemented by controlling the relevant hardware through a program, and the program may be stored in a computer-readable storage medium, where the storage medium may be ROM/RAM, magnetic disk, optical disk, and the like.
The preferred embodiments of the present invention have been described above with reference to the accompanying drawings, and are not to be construed as limiting the scope of the invention. Those skilled in the art can implement the invention in various modifications, such as features from one embodiment can be used in another embodiment to yield yet a further embodiment, without departing from the scope and spirit of the invention.
