Abstract

本发明提供了一种公共消息的传输方法和装置,涉及通信技术领域,为有效保证低成本MTC终端和正常LTE终端均能够可靠接收公共消息而发明。所述公共消息的传输方法包括:确定第一终端对应的公共消息传输时刻,第一终端对应的公共消息传输时刻为小区公共消息传输时刻中的一部分时刻;在所述确定的第一终端对应的公共消息传输时刻,发送公共消息,发送所述公共消息所使用的频率资源的带宽不大于第一终端能够支持的数据处理带宽,以使第一终端和第二终端均能够在第一终端对应的公共消息传输时刻接收公共消息;第二终端能够支持的数据处理带宽大于第一终端能够支持的数据处理带宽。本发明可用于基于LTE网络的M2M应用中。
