Abstract

一种动态软件授权平台及方法。动态软件授权平台包括授权池、注册管理器、使用设定单元及授权管理器。注册管理器接收客户端所提出的软件申请。使用设定单元响应软件申请开放设定权限给客户端，并根据设定权限允许客户端提交授权设定。授权管理器新增软件商所提供的软件授权至授权池，并根据授权设定自授权池动态地提供软件授权。

动态软件授权平台及方法
技术领域
本发明是有关于一种软件授权，且特别是有关于一种动态软件授权平台及方法。
背景技术
电子设备可通过安装软件来发挥其对应的功能。举例来说，个人计算机可安装操作系统、防毒软件、图像软件、扫描软件、绘图软件、相片软件、编辑软件、文书软件或工具软件等等。传统的软件销售模式是由使用者购买软件后自行安装至个人计算机后，再上网进行认证以取得软件授权。然而，传统软件的销售模式已逐渐无法满足现在客户端的需求，因此，如何提供一种动态软件授权的机制即成为一个相当重要的课题。
发明内容
本发明是有关于一种动态软件授权平台及方法，其动态地提供软件授权，以符合客户端的需求。
根据本发明，提出一种动态软件授权平台。动态软件授权平台包括授权池(License Pool)、注册管理器、使用设定单元及授权管理器。注册管理器接收客户端所提出的软件申请。使用设定单元响应软件申请开放设定权限给客户端，并根据设定权限允许客户端提交授权设定。授权管理器新增软件商所提供的软件授权至授权池，并根据授权设定自授权池动态地提供软件授权。
根据本发明，提出一种动态软件授权方法。动态软件授权方法用于动态软件授权平台，且动态软件授权平台包括授权池(License Pool)。动态软件授权方法包括：新增软件商所提供的软件授权至授权池；接收客户端所提出的软件申请；响应软件申请开放设定权限给客户端，并根据设定权限允许客户端提交授权设定；以及根据授权设定自授权池动态地提供该软件授权。
为了对本发明的上述及其它方面有更佳的了解，下文特举实施例，并配合所附图式，作详细说明如下。

具体实施方式
请参照图1，图1绘示为客户端经动态软件授权平台取得软件授权的示意图。软件商1提供软件及软件授权至动态软件授权平台2。动态软件授权平台2能根据客户端3的实际使用需求，动态地提供客户端3所需要的软件授权。
请同时参照图1、图2及图3，图2绘示为动态软件授权平台的示意图，图3绘示为动态软件授权方法的流程图。动态软件授权平台2包括授权池21、注册管理器22、使用设定单元23、授权管理器24、管理数据库25、报告管理器26、虚拟机器池(Vi rtual Machine Pool)27、虚拟机器管理器28及使用管理单元29。虚拟机器池27包括虚拟机器(Virtual Machine,VM)271，虚拟机器管理器28管理虚拟机器271以提供一虚拟机器服务。虚拟机器271可由位于动态软件授权平台2的服务器执行相关应用程序来实现。使用管理单元29根据授权设定决定是否提供虚拟机器服务给客户端3。
动态软件授权方法适用于动态软件授权平台2，且包括如下步骤：首先如步骤41所示，授权管理器24新增软件商1所提供的软件授权至授权池21。此外，虚拟机器管理器28还能进一步地安装软件授权所对应的软件至虚拟机器271并更新虚拟机器271的软件安装信息，而注册管理器26还能进一步地将软件授权所对应的软件新增至软件市集。当软件商的软件版本更新时，动态软件授权平台2上的软件版本也能同步地提供更新后的软件版本。因此，客户端的使用者不需要因软件版本的更新，而另行购买各种其它版本的软件。
接着如步骤42所示，接收客户端3所提出的软件申请。客户端3能向动态软件授权平台2申请账号并于登入后至软件市集采购软件以提出软件申请。软件申请的选购项目例如包括软件名称、软件版本、计价方式、指定生效日及虚拟机器服务。所谓虚拟机器服务是指使用者不需要在客户端3的计算机主机上安装软件，客户端3通过网络连线登入虚拟机器271后，即能在线使用软件。
跟着如步骤43所示，使用设定单元23响应软件申请开放一设定权限给客户端3，并根据设定权限允许客户端3提交一授权设定。授权设定例如包括使用软件的设备清单、软件授权分配、优先权顺序及指定生效日。执行软件的设备并不局限于位于客户端3的计算机主机，亦可为位于动态软件授权平台2的虚拟机器271。
然后如步骤44所示，授权管理器24根据授权设定自授权池21动态地提供软件授权。授权管理器24可根据授权设定自授权池21提供软件授权至位于客户端3的计算机主机或位于动态软件授权平台2的虚拟机器271。若客户端有申请虚拟机器服务，则客户端的使用者不需要于客户端的计算机主机安装软件，即能立时在线使用软件，大幅提高使用上的便利性。
接着如步骤45所示，报告管理器26根据软件授权的使用记录产生一使用报告给客户端3，并储存软件授权的使用记录至管理数据库25。使用报告例如包括一消费账单或一统计报表。消费账单的计费方式可以是按年/季/月/周/日或实际使用量来计算。如此一来，当软件的需求尚未明确前，客户端3能通过动态软件授权平台2满足暂时性的需求，不需要马上付费购买软件授权。客户端3通过报告管理器26所产生的统计报表了解软件的使用情况，进而作为是否进行软件升级的评估依据。除此之外，针对使用次数较少，但却必须使用的软件，客户端3能通过动态软件授权平台2降低购置软件的成本。跟着如步骤46所示，动态软件授权平台2于客户端3的授权期限届满后回收软件授权。
进一步来说，动态软件授权平台2自软件商1取得一定数量的软件授权后，授权管理器24便会在授权池21中增加其所对应的软件名称及软件授权数目M。当客户端3需要的软件授权数目为N时，授权管理器24会检查N是否小于M，以确保授权池21能提供足够的软件授权给客户端3。其中，M及N系大于0的正整数。授权管理器24确认N小于M后，除提供N个软件授权至客户端3外，并将授权池21的软件授权数目由M改为M-N。
虽然客户端3所购买的软件授权数目为P，但实际上客户端3却可能有大于P个使用者向动态软件授权平台2要求提供软件授权。为了解决此一状况，授权管理器24还能进一步根据客户端3所提交的授权设定来设定客户端3中各使用者的优先权级别。举例来说，客户端3有使用者A～E，却仅购买3个软件授权。授权管理器24设定使用者A为最高优先权级别，并设定使用者B～E为一般优先权级别。如此一来，使用者A永远都能使用软件授权，而使用者B～E则必须分享剩下的两个软件授权。授权管理器24可以根据使用者B～E要求的顺序来提供剩下的两个软件授权。换言之，最早要求的两位使用者则能取得剩下的两个软件授权。
当客户端3取得软件时，注册管理器22会对应地设定一软件使用期限，并于软件使用期限届满前，询问客户端3是否需延长使用期限。
请同时参照图1、图2、图3及图4，图4绘示为前述步骤45的一种细部流程图。前述步骤45进一步包括步骤451至454。首先如步骤451所示，报告管理器26产生软件授权的使用记录。接着如步骤452所示，报告管理器26解析软件授权的使用记录并储存至管理数据库25。跟着如步骤453所示，报告管理器26定期统计使用记录并根据计价方式产生消费账单。然后如步骤454所示，注册管理器22将消费账单通知客户端3。
请同时参照图1、图2、图3及图5，图5绘示为前述步骤46的一种细部流程图。前述步骤46进一步包括461至463。首先如步骤461所示，注册管理器22检查软件授权是否过期，并于软件授权过期时，授权管理器24自授权池21移除软件授权。接着如步骤462所示，注册管理器22收回客户端3的设定权限。跟着如步骤463所示，虚拟机器管理器24检查虚拟机器使用权限是否过期，并于虚拟机器使用权限过期时，收回虚拟机器使用权限。
综上所述，虽然本发明已以实施例揭露如上，然其并非用以限定本发明。本发明所属技术领域中具有通常知识者，在不脱离本发明的精神和范围内，当可作各种的更动与润饰。因此，本发明的保护范围当视所附的权利要求范围所界定者为准。

Claims (11)

1.一种动态软件授权平台，包括：
一授权池；
一注册管理器，用以接收一客户端所提出的一软件申请；
一使用设定单元，用以响应该软件申请开放一设定权限给该客户端，并根据该设定权限允许该客户端提交一授权设定；以及
一授权管理器，用以新增软件商所提供的一软件授权至该授权池，并根据该授权设定自该授权池动态地提供该软件授权。
2.根据权利要求1所述的动态软件授权平台，还包括：
一虚拟机器共享单元，包括多个虚拟机器；
一虚拟机器管理器，用以管理该多个虚拟机器以提供一虚拟机器服务；以及
一使用管理单元，用以根据该授权设定决定是否提供该虚拟机器服务给该客户端。
3.根据权利要求2所述的动态软件授权平台，其中于该虚拟机器管理器安装该软件授权对应的软件至该多个虚拟机器并更新该多个虚拟机器的软件安装信息。
4.根据权利要求2所述的动态软件授权平台，其中该虚拟机器服务是该虚拟机器管理器设定一虚拟机器使用权限给该客户端，该虚拟机器管理器检查该虚拟机器使用权限是否过期，并于该虚拟机器使用权限过期时，收回该虚拟机器使用权限。
5.根据权利要求1所述的动态软件授权平台，其中该注册管理器设定一软件使用期限，并于该软件使用期限届满前，询问该客户端是否延长该软件使用期限。
6.根据权利要求1所述的动态软件授权平台，还包括：
一管理数据库；以及
一报告管理器，用以根据该软件授权的使用记录产生一使用报告，并储存该软件授权的使用记录至该管理数据库。
7.根据权利要求1所述的动态软件授权平台，其中该注册管理器检查该软件授权是否过期，并于该软件授权过期时，该授权管理器自该授权池移除该软件授权。
8.根据权利要求7所述的动态软件授权平台，其中于该软件授权过期时，该注册管理器收回该客户端的该设定权限。
9.根据权利要求1所述的动态软件授权平台，其中该授权设定包括使用该软件的设备清单、软件授权分配及指定生效日。
10.根据权利要求1所述的动态软件授权平台，其中该授权管理器检查该客户端所需的软件授权数目是否小于该授权池的软件授权数目，当该客户端所需的软件授权数目小于该授权池的软件授权数目，该授权池的软件授权数目需减掉该客户端所需的软件授权数目。
11.根据权利要求1所述的动态软件授权平台，其中该授权管理器根据该授权设定设定该客户端中各使用者的优先权级别。
