Abstract

一种电连接器,用于安装在主板上并与一插头对接,其包括一绝缘本体、若干设置在绝缘本体内的端子以及覆盖绝缘本体的金属壳体。所述绝缘本体包括一向前延伸的舌板,所述端子具有暴露在舌板上的接触部;所述壳体设有围绕所述舌板的收容腔以及若干延伸入收容腔内的弹片。一侦测组件设置在该电连接器的底部,其包括印刷电路板以及侦测端子,该印刷电路板具有位于相应弹片下方的圆顶形开关,侦测端子与圆顶形开关电性连接。当插头插入时,弹片将向下偏斜并触发所述圆顶形开关。

电连接器
【技术领域】
本发明涉及一种电连接器,尤其涉及一种具有具有侦测组件的电连接器。
【背景技术】
USB连接器作为连接接口广泛的应用在市场上。尽管USB连接器能够持续传送电源,但有些情况下需要大电源。因此,安装在主板上的插座连接器被希望能够设有侦测端子以便能够识别对接的插头是否需要比较大的电源。另一方面,常见的USB插座连接器所附加的侦测端子基本是延伸入收容腔中,由插入的插头驱动而触发,有些时候,形成上述收容腔的相应金属壳体,为了上述侦测端子会被要求调整改变。这些调整有可能会对该金属壳体的机械及电气性能造成永久性的破坏,并导致短路。
因此,需要一种具有侦测端子且不影响原机械及电气性能的USB插座连接器。
【发明内容】
本发明的目的在于提供一种具有侦测组件的电连接器。
为达成上述之目的,本发明采用如下技术方案:一种电连接器,包括绝缘本体、组装在绝缘本体上的金属壳体及固定在绝缘本体上的若干导电端子,所述绝缘本体设有一舌板,金属壳体与绝缘本体共同定义有一收容腔,所述绝缘本体的舌板延伸入该收容腔内,所述壳体具有若干延伸入所述收容腔的弹片;所述端子设置在绝缘本体内并具有暴露在所述舌板表面的接触部;该电连接器还设有一印刷电路板,该印刷电路板位于壳体下方并设有与相应弹片在竖向对齐的至少一圆顶形开关,当插头插入时,弹片向外偏转并触发上述至少一圆顶形开关。

【具体实施方式】
请参考图1及图2所示,本发明实施方式的电连接器1为一USB 3.0插座连接器,用于安装在主板上。需要指出的是,本发明的重点在于侦测组件,该侦测组件同样适用其它类似电连接器。该电连接器1的结构与USB 3.0插座连接器基本相同。常见的USB 3.0插座连接器的结构在很多专利中均有详细的描述,例如美国专利第7,625,243号,此处将这些专利的揭露内容引入作为参考,但仅限于其内容与本发明不相冲突的部分。
请参考图2及图3所示,电连接器1包括绝缘本体 12、覆盖绝缘本体12的金属壳体16以及若干固定在绝缘本体12内的导电端子。该绝缘本体12设有舌板14,该舌板14向前延伸并与绝缘本体12一体形成。所述导电端子由9根端子组成,包括四根可动端子22及五根静止端子24,每一导电端子设有一接触部。所有的接触部均暴露在舌板14的同一面并且共同构成USB 3.0接口标准,即静止端子24的接触部排成一前排,可动端子22的接触部排成一后排。
金属壳体16组装至绝缘本体12并覆盖该绝缘本体12以形成一收容腔18,所述舌板14延伸入该收容腔18内。该金属壳体16设有一顶壁、底壁以及连接顶壁及底壁的相对两侧壁。顶壁及底壁分别一体设有两个延伸入收容腔18的弹片20。侧壁设有向下延伸用于安装在主板上的安装脚。
请参考图4至图6,并结合图3所示,该电连接器1包括一设置在该电连接器1下方的侦测组件,用于侦测插头的插入。该侦测组件包括一印刷电路板26及一覆盖该印刷电路板26的柔性件34用于保护该印刷电路板26。该印刷电路26在其右前侧设有一插入侦测圆顶形开关30,在其左后侧设有一PD(Power Delivery,电流传输)侦测圆顶形开关32。柔性件34设有一按钮,自顶部观察,该按钮的顶部向上突出,自底部观察,该按钮的底部向上凹陷。该按钮位于上述插入侦测圆顶形开关30的正上方,以便在该按钮被向下按压时触发该插入侦测圆顶形开关30。
所述印刷电路板26的后缘设有三个导电孔,通过导电轨迹与所述圆顶形开关30、32电性连接。三根附加侦测端子36分别与导电孔及圆顶形开关30、32电性连接。在本实施方式中,附加侦测端子36固定在绝缘本体12上,并穿过印刷电路板26而安装到主板上,以电性连接圆顶形开关30、32及主板。作为变换方式,所述附加侦测端子36也可以直接固定在印刷电路板26上。
请参考图2所示,该绝缘本体12设有一位于金属壳体16的底壁外侧的支撑板,该支撑板比底壁短,所以金属壳体16底壁的前部是向下暴露。所述印刷电路板26及其上的柔性件34组装在金属壳体16及绝缘本体12的底部,所述柔性件34位于金属壳体16的前部下方,印刷电路板26向上贴靠支撑板。所述印刷电路板26在其两侧边舌有一对凹口,所述支撑板对应设有一对突块以与凹口定位所述印刷电路板26。最终,所述柔性件34位于弹片20的正下方,所述按钮与弹片26靠近收容腔18前端的一部分竖直对齐。印刷电路板26上的插入侦测圆顶形开关30位于按钮的下方以便由该按钮触发。
当一普通插头或PD插头或其它对接插头插入收容腔18时,弹片20被插头向外抵推并通过柔性件34的按钮,触发插入侦测圆顶形开关30以及相应侦测端子36,从而辨别是否有插头插入。当插入的插头是PD插头,该插头可以传速更大的电源,并且沿前后向延伸的对接部的尺寸相比较于通插头更长,后侧的PD侦测圆顶形开关32及相应侦测端子36将会被触发,从而辨别插入的插头为PD插头,能够传输大电源;而普通的插头则不会触发到PD侦测圆顶形开关32。
本实施方式中的电连接器1的绝缘本体12是比较粗糙的形式,事实上,绝缘本体12支撑板应该要移除部分以便连通壳体16的相应弹片20与后侧的PD侦测圆顶形开关32。
作为一种简单的变换方式,柔性体34的圆顶形开关30、32可以直接由对接的插头触发,无需通过弹片20。进一步看,所述柔性体34可以以一种密封的方式所述直接紧紧的附在印刷电路板26上围绕圆顶形开关30、32,以防污染圆顶形开关30、32。本发明的特征的一为提供一种传输结构,例如,在附加侦测端子36及插入的插头之间的圆顶形开关30、32及印刷电路板16,而不是侦测端子36直接与插头接触。

Claims (7)

1.一种电连接器,包括绝缘本体、组装在绝缘本体上的金属壳体及固定在绝缘本体上的若干导电端子,所述绝缘本体设有一舌板,金属壳体与绝缘本体共同定义有一收容腔,所述绝缘本体的舌板延伸入该收容腔内,所述壳体具有若干延伸入所述收容腔的弹片;所述端子设置在绝缘本体内并具有暴露在所述舌板表面的接触部;其特征在于:该电连接器还设有一印刷电路板,该印刷电路板位于壳体下方并设有与相应弹片在竖向对齐的至少一圆顶形开关,当插头插入时,弹片向外偏转并触发上述至少一圆顶形开关。
2.如权利要求1所述的电连接器,其特征在于:所述至少一圆顶形开关被一柔性件覆盖以便防尘。
3.如权利要求2所述的电连接器,其特征在于:所述柔性件设有一按钮,该按钮与所述至少一圆顶形开关沿上下方向对齐并向上突出,以便向外偏转的弹片能够抵压到所述按钮,并通过按钮触发下方的所述圆顶形开关。
4.如权利要求1所述的电连接器,其特征在于:该电连接器还包括机械及电性的连接在所述印刷电路板上的至少一附加侦测端子,以用于与上述至少一圆顶形开关电性连接,所述至少一附加侦测端子及所述端子均向下延伸以安装至一主板。
5.如权利要求4所述的电连接器,其特征在于:所述印刷电路板设有贯通的导电孔,上述至少一附加侦测端子穿过该导电孔以通过该导电孔与所述至少一圆顶形开关电性连接。
6.如权利要求2所述的电连接器,其特征在于:绝缘本体设有位于壳体底壁外侧的支撑板,底壁设有一未与支撑板重叠的向外暴露的前侧,所述印刷电路板及柔性件组装在壳体及绝缘本体的底侧,柔性件向上抵靠在壳体的所述前侧,所述印刷电路板向上抵靠支撑板。
7.如权利要求6所述的电连接器,其特征在于:所述印刷电路板设有两个所述圆顶形开关,包括一位于印刷电路板前侧的插入侦测圆顶形开关,用于侦测插头的插入,以及位于印刷电路板后侧的PD (Power Delivery,电流传输)侦测圆顶形开关,用于侦测沿前后方向具有较长对接部的电源传输插头的插入。
