Abstract

优先权

技术领域
本公开案针对套管总成和光纤连接器。具体地,本公开案针对可与相关电缆总成一起从母总成变形成公总成(且反之亦然)的套管总成和光纤连接器。
背景技术
光纤连接器用于在光纤之间形成可重构的连接。光纤连接器通常使用套管用于将单个光纤或多个光纤固定于连接器内。一般而言,随着光纤连接器中的光纤的数目的增加,在光纤芯之间保持对齐变得更困难。为解决所述对齐问题,某些多芯光纤连接器(比如MPO、

发明内容
详细描述中所公开的实施方式包括套管总成和光纤连接器,所述套管总成和光纤连接器通过工艺可容易地从母配置变形到公配置或反之亦然。具体地,套管总成和/或光纤连接器使用导销保持器,所述导销保持器在制造或制造后过程期间通过工艺容易且快速地安装或从套管总成移除。在不必将套管罩从套管拆卸的情况下,导销保持器在大体上垂直于套管总成的纵轴的方向上是可安装的和/或可从套管总成移除。此外,导销保持器允许从套管的前侧安装导销。因此,导销保持器和/或导销在制造过程期间或在现场可通过工艺容易且快速地安装或移除以用于使套管总成/连接器变形。此外,在变形期间(比如当光纤网络需要移动、添加和/或变化时),损害连接器的风险很小。

具体实施方式
现将详细参考某些实施方式,在附图中说明所述实施方式的例子,在附图中图示一些(并非所有)特征。实际上,本文中所公开的实施方式可体现为许多不同形式,且所述实施方式不应被视为受本文中所述实施方式的限制;相反,提供所述实施方式以使得本公开案将满足适用的法律要求。在可能的情况下,将使用相同元件符号指示相同组件或部分。
图4为包括套管罩70和套管80的套管总成(未编号)的分解透视图。还图示可安装的并可从套管总成移除以用于使套管总成/连接器的配置变形的导销保持器100。套管80是用于将多个光纤固定在套管中的多芯光纤套管。此外,套管总成可形成如图9中所示的光纤连接器200的一部分,所述光纤连接器可能是电缆总成的一部分。套管80具有一或多个导销孔86,所述一或多个导销孔86从套管80的前端82延伸到套管80的后端84以将合适尺寸的导销90(见图4和图9)收纳在每一各自的导销孔86中。在所述实施方式中,套管80具有安置于套管80的后端84处的开口的相对侧上的两个导销孔86。
导销90用于精确地对齐配合套管以使得固定在各自的配合套管中的光纤的芯可穿过配合套管接口以相对低的损失传输光。尽管,两个配合套管都包括导销孔,但仅将导销附接到配合套管中的一个配合套管,而另一配合套管不具有附接到配合套管的导销。换句话说,配合套管总成/连接器中的一个配合套管总成/连接器具有公配置而另一配合套管总成/连接器具有母配置,且导销使配合套管对齐。通常移动、添加和/或变化光纤网络是必须的,且移动、添加和/或变化可能需要一种不同类型的套管配置/连接器(例如,代替母配置的公套管配置)。本文中所公开的套管总成有利地提供一种用于通过工艺在制造期间或在现场在无损害总成的风险的情况下使总成从母套管总成变形成公套管总成(且反之亦然)的快速、简单且容易的方法。
图5为图4的套管总成的装配透视图,图示套管罩70附接到套管80(如在制造期间所完成的)。简单地说,将套管罩70的前端插入到套管的后端84处的开口中,如此套管罩70的一部分延伸到套管80中,从而形成套管总成。如图所示,如由箭头所示,在不将套管罩70从套管80拆卸的情况下,导销保持器100在大体上垂直于套管总成的纵轴A-A的方向上是可安装的并可从套管总成移除。换句话说,导销保持器100能够通过在箭头的方向上移动(也就是,平移)而被安装到套管总成上或从套管总成移除。此外,如图8中所示,导销保持器100也可在大体上垂直于纵轴A-A的方向上移动(也就是,平移)期间或之后旋转以固定/释放导销。在将导销保持器100安装到套管总成上之后,可将一或多个导销90(见图9)在纵向方向A-A上从的套管的前端82插入到一或多个各自的导销孔86中直到一或多个导销啮合导销保持器100,从而使总成从母配置变形成公配置。相反地,在将导销保持器100从套管总成移除(和/或旋转)后,可将一或多个导销在纵向方向A-A上从套管80的前端82从一或多个各自的导销孔移除,从而使套管总成从公配置变形成母配置。图6是图示安装导销保持器100后的套管总成的透视图。如图所示,导销保持器100具有与导销孔86对齐的开口106以用于当导销90从套管80的前端82插入时收纳和固定导销90。
图7是图示导销保持器100的细节的透视图。导销保持器100包括开口侧,所述开口侧具有经调整大小以用于收纳如图6中所图示的套管罩70的一部分的尺寸D。导销保持器100可具有任意合适的形状、大小和/或导销保持器100可由任意合适的材料形成。在所述实施方式中,使导销保持器100成形以紧密地配合套管罩70的一部分。举例来说,导销保持器可具有轻微过盈配合、摩擦配合等等。此外,导销保持器100具有端101,所述端101经倒角和/或制圆,以使得导销保持器100可以如图5中所示的垂直方式在箭头的方向上越过套管罩70扣上。因此,可容易地附接或移除导销保持器100,且导销90在套管80的前端82处被安装或从导销孔86移除,从而使套管总成/连接器从母配置变形成公配置(或反之亦然)。
视情况,导销保持器100可相对于套管总成旋转以便啮合套管总成和/或释放/固定导销90。如果导销保持器100将旋转以用于啮合,那么在一个端101上延长销保持器的过盈特征结构。因此,代替如图5的箭头所示的简单地垂直平移导销保持器100以用于安装,如图8中所图示,导销保持器100还大体上绕纵轴A-A旋转以用于固定导销。因此,当导销90未立刻安装到套管总成中且导销保持器100被牢固地保持时,改进了导销保持器100的滞留。
图9是使用图4到图6的套管总成和导销保持器的说明性光纤连接器200的分解视图。光纤连接器200包括套管罩70、套管80、导销90、导销保持器100、套头110、弹簧120、弹簧推130、卷曲箍140、罩150、外壳体总成160和防尘盖170。然而,本文中所公开的套管总成和导销保持器可与具有不同组件和/或总成的其他光纤连接器一起使用以用于使本文中所公开的光纤连接器变形。
此外,可将本文中所公开的套管总成和/或光纤连接器附接到光纤电缆并形成电缆总成(比如如图1中所示)。其他合适的电缆总成也是有可能的,比如具有分叉支腿和在各自的支腿上的多个连接器的总成。在一个实施方式中,电缆总成的各自的支腿可具有交错支腿长度以按需降低对所使用长度的备用存储的需求。

Claims (14)

导销保持器,在不将所述套管罩从所述套管拆卸的情况下,所述导销保持器在大体上垂直于所述纵轴的方向上是可安装的和/或可从所述套管总成移除。

7.如权利要求1到6所述的套管总成,其中所述导销保持器相对于所述套管总成旋转以安装或从所述套管总成移除所述导销保持器。
8.一种用于使套管总成变形的方法,所述方法包含以下步骤:
提供具有定义纵轴的套管和套管罩的套管总成;
提供导销保持器;
在大体上垂直于所述套管总成的所述纵轴的方向上使所述导销保持器相对于所述套管总成平移,如此所述导销保持器从所述套管总成移除或安置在所述套管与所述套管罩的一部分之间。
9.如权利要求8所述的方法,所述方法进一步包括:在纵向方向上从所述套管的前端将一或多个导销插入到一或多个各自的导销孔中,直到所述一或多个导销啮合所述导销保持器,从而使所述套管总成从母配置变形成公配置。
