Referring to the drawings, reference is first made to fig. 1 and 2 in particular. The refrigeration appliance 1 includes a cabinet 2 defining at least one insulated storage compartment (not shown) and a door 13 connected to a front end of the cabinet 2 to close the corresponding storage compartment.
The cabinet 2 includes an inner container (not shown) defining a storage chamber, an outer case 4 surrounding the inner container but spaced apart from the inner container by a predetermined distance, and a thermal insulation layer (not shown) between the inner container and the outer case 4.
The housing 4 may be formed of a metal sheet. The thermal insulation layer may be formed by a foaming process and tightly bonded to the inner container and the outer shell 4.
The door 13 is pivotally connected to the cabinet 2 and is rotatable about a longitudinal axis. The upper end of the door 13 is connected to the cabinet 2 by an upper hinge 14.
One end of the upper hinge 14 is connected inside the door 13. Specifically, the hinge shaft portion 27 of the upper hinge 14 is inserted into the hinge hole 26 of the door 13. The other end of the upper hinge 14 is plate-shaped and fixed to the case 2. In the present embodiment, the upper hinge 14 is an integral hinge formed by stamping a metal plate, which greatly saves cost on the premise of satisfying the function.
The case 2 is provided with a concave space 6 depressed from a portion of the housing of the top wall thereof. The recessed space 6 has an opening (not labeled) that opens into the housing 4. The upper hinge 14 is fixed in the recess space 6 and extends forward toward the door 13.
The refrigeration appliance 1 comprises a main control unit 22 located in the cabinet 2 and a display and/or operating unit 23 located in the door 13. The refrigeration appliance 1 further comprises a transmission line connected between the main control unit 22 and the display and/or operating unit 23 to transmit power from the main control unit 22 to the display and/or operating unit 23 and to transmit signals therebetween.
The conveyor line includes a tank-side cable 15 extending from the main control unit 22 into the recessed space 6 and a door-side cable 16 extending from the display and/or operation unit 23 into the recessed space 6. The box-side cable 15 and the door-side cable 16 are connected by at least one pair of electrical connectors 17 (only one of the mating connectors is shown in the figure) located at least partially within the recessed space 6.
In the present embodiment, as shown in fig. 2 and 3, the recessed space 6 includes a shallower front portion 61 and a deeper rear portion 62. The upper hinge 14 is fixed in the front part 61, and the bottom wall of the front part 61 may be formed by a reinforcement 24 having a relatively high strength, so that the upper hinge 14 may be fixed to the reinforcement 24 by screws. The rear portion 62 of the recessed space 6 may be formed by an upwardly open box. The electrical connector 17 is located within the rear portion 62. It should be understood that the invention should not be limited to the specific shape and configuration of the recessed space 6.
The refrigerator 1 comprises a hinged lid 8 which closes the hollow space 6 by a user. The hinge cover 8 may extend from the cabinet 2 to above the door 13.
The hinge cover 8 can be positioned on the housing 4 by the hook 25 provided on its inner side snapping into the hole/groove/bead 28 on the wall of the recessed space 6. Further, the hinge cover 8 may be provided with mounting holes 19, and screws 20 may be inserted through the mounting holes 19 and screw holes (labeled) in the hinge 14 to fix the hinge cover 8 to the box body 2.
As shown in fig. 2 and 3, the housing 4 has a protrusion 10 surrounding the concave space 6. In this embodiment, the protrusion 10 is an open loop, is provided along the rear edge and the left and right side edges of the recessed space 6, and is substantially U-shaped. It will be appreciated that in other embodiments the protrusion 10 may be provided as a closed loop, along the entire edge of the recessed space 6.
The projection 10 is integrally formed on the housing 4 and may be formed by punching the housing 4. The projection 10 has an arcuate cross-section with a smooth outer surface.
As shown in fig. 3 and 4, the refrigeration appliance comprises a sealing means 9 between the hinge cover 8 and the projection 10. When the hinge cover 8 is fixed to the box body 2, the sealing means 9 is pressed between the hinge cover 8 and the projection 10.
The sealing means 9 may be made of a rubber material, such as PPE material. In order to obtain a better sealing effect, in the present embodiment, the sealing means 9 is integrally formed on the inside of the hinge cover 8. The softer sealing means 9 can be integrated non-detachably on the hard hinge cover 8, for example by co-casting.
The sealing means 9 comprises a first portion 11 in close contact with the protrusion 10 and a second portion 12 extending into the recessed space 6. The first portion 11 is substantially parallel to the hinge cover 8. The second part 12 is connected to the inside of the first part 11 and extends down into the recessed space 6 against the upper edge of the recessed space 6.
In the above embodiment, the transmission line passes through the recessed space 6 from the cabinet 2 into the door 13, and specifically, the cabinet-side cable 15 and the door-side cable 16 and the electrical connector connecting the two are housed in the recessed space 6. It should be understood that the present invention may also be applied to a recessed space for receiving at least one other electrical and/or electronic component, for example, the present invention may be applied to a recessed space provided in an outer case of a case to be recessed inward for receiving a main control panel.

Claims (10)

1. A refrigeration appliance (1) comprises
-a thermally insulated cabinet (2) comprising an outer shell (4), wherein the outer shell (4) has a recessed space (6);
a cover (8) to cover the recessed space (6); and
a sealing device (9);
characterized in that the housing (4) has a protrusion (10) surrounding the recessed space (6), the sealing means (9) being located between the cover (8) and the protrusion (10).
2. The refrigeration appliance according to claim 1, characterized in that the protrusion (10) is integrally formed on the housing (4).
3. The refrigeration appliance according to claim 2, characterized in that the protrusion (10) is formed by stamping on the housing (4).
4. A refrigerator appliance as claimed in claim 1, 2 or 3, characterized in that the projection (10) has an arcuate cross-section.
5. A cold appliance according to any of the above claims, wherein the sealing means (9) comprises a first portion (11) in close contact with the protrusion (10) and a second portion (12) extending into the recessed space (6).
6. A refrigerator appliance according to claim 1, 2 or 3, characterized in that the sealing means (9) and said cover (8) are made of different materials and are formed as one integral structure by co-casting.
7. A cold appliance according to claim 1, 2 or 3, wherein at least one electrical and/or electronic component is located in said recessed space (6).
8. The refrigeration appliance according to claim 7, comprising a door (13) connected to said cabinet (2), said at least one electric and/or electronic component comprising a cabinet-side cable (15) extending from said cabinet (2) and a door-side cable (16) extending from said door (13), said cabinet-side cable (15) and said door-side cable (16) being connected by at least one pair of electrical connectors (17) located at least partially within said recessed space (6).
9. A cold appliance according to claim 1, 2 or 3, comprising a hinge (14) connected between the cabinet (2) and the door (13), wherein the cover (8) is a hinged cover covering at least a part of the hinge (14).
10. A refrigeration appliance (1) comprises
A case (2) comprising a housing (4), wherein the housing (4) has a recessed space (6);
a door (13) connected to the case (2);
a hinge (14) for hinging the door (13) to the box (2), the hinge (14) being housed in the recessed space (6) and extending the door (13) towards the outside; and
a hinge cover (8);
characterized in that the housing (4) has a protrusion (10) surrounding the recessed space (6), and a sealing means (9) is located between the hinge cover (8) and the protrusion (10).
