与本发明的某些实施例一致的实现扩展了TDO的能力,为TDO脚本的作者提供了对与观看者当前调谐到的虚拟频道和电视接收器装置的当前操作参数有关的信息的访问。这种信息能够允许在多个环境(context)(如广播公司的频道组中的一个以上的频道上)使用同一TDO。作为业务报告功能的一部分,该信息也是有用的。
数字广播公司经常在许可给该广播公司的6MHz频带内传送一个以上的节目频道。例如,ATSC广播系统提供了足以在同一传输流复用中传送HD频道和一个或两个SD频道的数字带宽。可用数字净荷的一部分还可以专用于移动业务,如ATSC移动DTV。

在优选实现中,TDO出于广告公司的利益考虑,应当执行重要业务使用报告功能。因此,TDO应当能够访问与业务的使用有关的某些信息,包括用户调谐到哪个频道、正在访问哪个音轨(哪种语言,或者是否正在使用可访问性轨道,如听力受损[HI]或视觉受损[VI]的轨道),以及是否打开了秘密字幕(closed captioning)。
为了解决该问题,可以定义脚本绑定以暴露并可以获得正在执行TDO的接收器所知道的某些脚本参数。这些参数包括虚拟频道编号(见ATSC A/65)、频道名称、传输流的TSID值、正在访问哪个音频流以及一些MPEG-2参数。
针对TDO采用的脚本语言预期基于EcmaScript,它在ECMA-262中被标准化。可以使脚本绑定定义成为对ECMA-262的扩展,其规定在脚本中能够使用的对象属性。在优选实现中,该标准可以定义称为"tunedEnvironment"的对象以及相关联的属性,如下表所示(这些参数中的几个参数对应于通过A/65PSIP传送的元数据),但是也可以使用其他技术而没有限制:

当研究上述教导时,本领域的技术人员会认识到上述例证实施例中的一些实施例以程控处理器的使用为基础。不过,本发明并不局限于这样的例证实施例,因为利用硬件组件等同物,比如专用硬件和/或专用处理器,可以实现其它实施例。类似地,通用计算机、基于微处理器的计算机、微控制器、光学计算机、模拟计算机、专用处理器、专用电路和/或专用硬连线逻辑可用于构成备选的等同实施例。

Claims (28)
1.一种方法,包括:
在数字电视接收器装置处接收可触发声明对象(TDO),所述TDO在执行时执行程控脚本;
所述程控脚本包括确定所述电视接收器装置的操作参数的参数发现功能并且还包括程控功能;
发起所述TDO的执行以发起所述脚本在所述电视接收器装置的处理器上的执行;
在所述电视接收器装置的处理器上运行所述脚本以发现所述操作参数并且执行所述程控功能;并且
其中所述程控功能依赖于所发现的所述电视接收器的操作参数。
2.根据权利要求1所述的方法,其中所述操作参数限定画面大小,并且其中所述脚本程控功能按为所限定的画面大小指定的方式操作。
3.根据权利要求2所述的方法,其中基于所述画面大小选择字体大小。
4.根据权利要求2所述的方法,其中按基于所述画面大小的方式呈现图形。
5.根据权利要求1所述的方法,其中所述操作参数包括当前调谐到的频道。
6.根据权利要求1所述的方法,其中所述脚本的程控功能选择与当前频道相关联的提示。
7.根据权利要求6所述的方法,其中所述脚本的程控功能显示频道名称。
8.根据权利要求1所述的方法,其中所述脚本发现的操作参数包括正在解码哪个音轨的标识。
9.根据权利要求1所述的方法,其中所述脚本发现的操作参数包括秘密字幕是否被激活的指示。
10.根据权利要求1所述的方法,其中所述脚本发现的操作参数包括所选择的语言的标识。
11.根据权利要求1所述的方法,其中所述脚本发现的操作参数包括以下中的一个或多个:画面大小、当前调谐到的频道、节目名称、节目时间表、音轨、秘密字幕状态以及所选择的语言。
12.根据权利要求1所述的方法,其中所述脚本发现的操作参数包括当前调谐到的频道的channel_TSID参数。
13.根据权利要求13所述的方法,其中所述脚本发现的操作参数包括主频道号、次频道号、缩略频道名称、节目号、事件ID、秘密字幕状态、音频语言以及音频bsmod值中的至少一个。
14.一种保存指令的计算机可读存储装置,当在一个或多个程控处理器上执行时,所述指令实现按照权利要求1所述的方法。
15.一种方法,包括:
在数字电视接收器装置处接收可触发声明对象(TDO),所述TDO在执行时执行程控脚本;
所述程控脚本包括确定所述电视接收器装置的多个操作参数的参数发现功能并且还包括多个程控功能;
其中所述操作参数限定画面大小和当前调谐到的频道;
发起所述TDO的执行,以发起所述脚本在所述电视接收器装置的处理器上的执行;
在所述电视接收器装置的处理器上运行所述脚本,以发现所述操作参数并执行所述程控功能;以及
其中所述程控功能通过利用与所述画面大小匹配的字体和图形,依赖于所发现的所述电视接收器的操作参数。
16.一种设备,包括:
处理器;
电视接收器,接收并存储包括程控脚本的可触发声明对象(TDO);
所述程控脚本包括确定所述电视接收器装置的操作参数的参数发现功能,并且还包括程控功能;
在所述电视接收器装置的处理器上运行所述脚本以发现所述操作参数并执行所述程控功能;并且
其中所述程控功能依赖于所发现的所述电视接收器的操作参数。
17.根据权利要求16所述的设备,其中所述操作参数限定画面大小,并且其中所述脚本程控功能按为所限定的画面大小指定的方式操作。
18.根据权利要求16所述的设备,其中基于所述画面大小选择字体。
19.根据权利要求16所述的设备,其中按基于所述画面大小的方式呈现图形。
20.根据权利要求16所述的设备,其中所述操作参数包括当前调谐到的频道。
21.根据权利要求16所述的设备,其中所述脚本的程控功能选择与当前频道相关联的提示。
22.根据权利要求21所述的设备,其中所述脚本的程控功能显示频道名称。
23.根据权利要求16所述的设备,其中所述脚本发现的操作参数包括正在解码哪个音轨的标识。
24.根据权利要求16所述的设备,其中所述脚本发现的操作参数包括秘密字幕是否被激活的指示。
25.根据权利要求16所述的设备,其中所述脚本发现的操作参数包括所选择的语言的标识。
26.根据权利要求16所述的设备,其中所述脚本发现的操作参数包括以下中的一个或多个:画面大小、当前调谐到的频道、节目名称、节目时间表、音轨、秘密字幕状态以及所选择的语言。
27.根据权利要求16所述的设备,其中所述脚本发现的操作参数包括当前调谐到的频道的channel_TSID参数。
28.根据权利要求27所述的设备,其中所述脚本发现的操作参数包括主频道号、次频道号、缩略频道名称、节目号、事件ID、秘密字幕状态、音频语言以及音频bsmod值中的至少一个。
