背景技术
碳氢化合物生产井可含有许多不同的地层液体和气体,例如,甲烷、乙烷,及其它高级碳氢化合物,以及二氧化碳、硫化氢、水和其它化合物。为了评价碳氢化合物生产井的商业价值,或者作为帮助运行和井计划的辅助手段,常常要通过分析从地层或个别井中取出的形成流体的成分浓度来获得信息资料。已经开发出许多系统来评价井下流体成分和井下流体中相关成分的浓度。
业已发现,某些井下流体中的成分可引起腐蚀。在井管件所遇到的众多问题中,腐蚀是造成最大损失的因素。一般来说,有四种类型的腐蚀:无硫腐蚀、酸腐蚀、氧腐蚀和电化学腐蚀。酸腐蚀可在含有H2S(硫化氢)气体的油井和气井中找到。H2S还提出了需要予以解决和为其制定计划的健康危险。井还会生产出其它诸如CO2那样不希望的腐蚀成分。为了努力控制腐蚀速率和计划碳氢化合物的安全开发和生产,需要很好地去理解井下流体和气体的浓度。
钻孔监测通常包括确定现场一个或多个生产钻孔内各个部位处生产钻孔中某些井下参数,通常是确定很长一段时间内的参数。光谱学是分析井下流体的已知技术,该井下流体包括钻井泥浆和石油。例如,已知有分析钻井泥浆的各种方法,这些方法牵涉反射率或透射率红外光谱学。在钻孔环境中,发射的光谱在1000至2500nm的近红外范围。光谱通常在该范围内发射,因为已知近红外的发射器和传感器更容易地在井中温度下运行,同时波长较长的发射器已经显示出在类似井下条件下输出光功率受限制。

在通行的H2S检测方法中,使用间接方法通过光谱学来探测H2S,其中,金属离子与H2S混合,由此形成金属硫化物。然后,金属硫化物经受近范围的光谱学,以检测存在于井下金属硫化物的含量。光谱学检测的金属硫化物的含量可用来指明存在于井下存在硫化氢的含量。然而,该方法产生的金属硫化物会污染钻孔中的油。

本发明总的涉及钻井孔操作。具体来说,本发明既应用于钻孔调查记录又应用于生产记录。本发明包括诸如电缆工具那样的井下工具和边钻边记录法(LWD)或边钻边测量法(MWD)工具,井地层测试工具,钻杆测试,以及能够用于井下环境的任何其他工具。

图1示意地示出井下工具的实施例,这里将井下工具描述为地层流体识别工具10,其作为井底组件12的一部分,井底组件12包括短节14和定位在地层流体识别工具10最远端处的钻头16。如图所示,在运行过程中,井底组件12从诸如钻井船或其它传统平台之类的钻井平台18通过钻柱20下降。钻柱20设置通过立管24和井口26。传统钻井设备(未示出)可被支承在塔架22内,并可转动钻柱20和钻头16,致使钻头16形成通过地层材料30的钻孔28。钻出的钻孔28穿透地下区域或地下储层,诸如储层32。根据本发明的实施例,地层流体识别工具10可使用在其它底部孔组件中,其它钻井装置位于陆地的钻探中,以及用于如图1所示实施例那样的离岸钻井。除了地层流体识别工具10之外,底部孔组件12可含有各种传统装置和系统,例如井下钻探马达、旋转操纵工具、泥浆脉冲遥测系统、LWD/MWD传感器和系统、钻杆测试(DST)装置和其它行内已知技术。
在另一实施例中,地层流体识别工具10和文中所述其它部件,可通过电缆技术或在盘管上或任何其它合适装置可向下传输到钻孔28。
参照图2,图中示出地层流体识别工具10的实施例。工具10的第一端包括钻铤部分100,其也被称作探头钻铤部分100。为便于参考起见,探头钻铤部分100处工具10的第一端通常是工具的最下端,其最靠近钻孔的远端。探头钻铤部分100可包括地层测试器或具有延伸的试样装置或延伸的探头112的地层探头组件110。工具10包括第二钻铤部分114,其也被称作动力钻铤部分114,其通过互连组件116连接到探头/钻铤部分100。互连组件116包括流体和动力/电气贯通能力,使得互连组件中各种连接能够连通,各种流体、电力和/或信号可通到探头钻铤部分100和动力钻铤部分114和从其中传出。
在实施例中,动力钻铤部分114可包括以下的部件:冲洗泵组件118、流动齿轮或涡轮机组件120、电子模块122和钻探流体流动孔偏转器124。第三钻铤部分126也被称作采样瓶钻铤部分126,该第三钻铤部分126可附连到动力钻铤部分114。试样瓶钻铤部分126可包括一个或多个试样瓶组件128、130。第四钻铤部分132也被称作终端钻铤部分132,该第四钻铤部分132可附连到采样瓶钻铤部分126。试样瓶钻铤部分126和终端钻铤部分132之间的偶联可包括互连组件134的实施例。在另一替代的实施例中,如果采样瓶钻铤部分126不需要的话,则终端钻铤部分132和互连组件134直接偶联到动力钻铤部分114。在一实施例中,地层流体识别工具10可结合钻探、井地层测试或钻杆测试操作来使用。
下面参照图3,较详细地示出探头钻铤部分100的实施例。钻铤102容纳地层测试器或探头组件110。探头组件110包括各种用来运行探头组件110的部件,以接纳和分析地层流体。探头构件140设置在钻铤102中的孔142内,并如图所示地延伸超过钻铤102外表面。探头构件140可缩回到某一位置,该位置与钻铤102外表面齐平,或凹入在钻铤102外表面下方,如图4所示。探头组件110可包括邻近于探头构件140的钻铤102外表面的凹入外部103。探头组件可包括从探头构件140接受地层流体的传感器106。地层流体通过流动管线(未示出)从探头构件140连通到传感器106,以测量地层流体。图中还示出钻探流体可通过的钻探流体流动孔104。
在一实施例中,井下工具10包括探头钻铤部分100,其包括与井孔环境相隔离的流动管线,流动管线可以是管子或类似构件。井下工具10的功能是通过使用探头钻铤部分100的探头构件140从地层中抽出地层流体,以取回地层流体试样。由探头构件140取回的地层流体试样通过流动管线送到位于井下工具10内的试样分析仪,或传感器106。井下工具10还包含出口流动管线(未示出),其用来从井下工具10中取出已试验的试样并移到井孔环境。井下工具10还可包括泵(未示出),用来在全部井下工具中移动地层流体试样。
参照图4,另一替代实施例显示为探头200。该探头保持在钻铤204内的开口202中。正如本技术领域内技术人员所理解的,任何用来保持探头200的替代装置都与这里的发明相一致。探头200显示为处于缩回位置中,不延伸超过钻铤204的外表面。探头200可包括具有通道208的杆206和活塞210。活塞210的端部可装备有密封垫212。通道208与端口214连通,该端口与流动管线(未示出)连通,用来接纳和运载地层流体到试样分析仪或传感器(未示出)。图中还示出钻探流体流动孔220,其能够使钻探流体流过钻铤204,而不与探头组件200接触。
参照图5,探头200显示为处于伸出的位置中。活塞210从图4所示第一位置致动到图5所示第二位置。密封垫212与钻孔壁表面222啮合,钻孔壁表面222可包括泥或滤饼224,以形成探头200和钻孔环状物226之间的主要密封。可致动探头200,从地层230中抽出地层流体,进入到孔232内,进入杆206的通道208内,以及进入端口214内。图中还示出钻探流体流动孔220,其能够使钻探流体流过钻铤204,而不与探头组件200接触。
密封垫212可用弹性体材料制成。在地层测试过程中,弹性体密封垫212密封和阻止钻探流体或钻孔环状物226的其它钻孔污染物进入探头200。
在一实施例中,本发明的井下工具包括电缆、管道传输和LWD/MWD工具,该井下工具包含用来分析地层流体试样的试样分析仪。井下工具还可包含泵和流动管线,用来从地层中回收地层流体,将试样送到试样分析仪,并在试样分析之后从井下工具中取出试样。试样分析仪可包括诸如光谱仪那样的光学分析仪。在一实施例中,光谱仪包括光源和探测器。光源和探测器可从所有可供的光谱学技术中选取。

在一实施例中,光源可选自以下组群:可调光源、宽带光源(BBS)、纤维放大激励发射(ASE)光源、黑体辐射、增强黑体辐射、激光、红外线、超连续光辐射、频率组合辐射、荧光、磷光、兆赫辐射。宽带光源是含有待测量波长的全光谱的光源。在一实施例中,光源可包括任何类型的红外光源。
在一实施例中,光源是红外线(IR)光源。在一实施例中,IR光源发出中间范围的光,也称之为中红外光(MIR)。在一实施例中,中红外光大于1900nm。在一实施例中,中红外光在2000至5000nm的范围内。在另一实施例中,中红外光在2200至4500nm的范围内。在另一替代实施例中,中红外光在4000至5000nm的范围内。在一实施例中,从光源发射出的IR波长有足够的波长用以探测H2S或CO2。在一替代实施例中,光源发射中间范围IR波长,足以探测H2S或CO2。在另一实施例中,选择的IR波长足以能探测H2S和CO2。在还有另一实施例中,光源发射出近范围IR波长,以便探测H2S,发射中间范围IR波长,以便探测CO2。在另一实施例中,IR光源发出近红外(NIR)范围和中红外(MIR)范围。
在一实施例中,光源朝向流体试样,以便探测H2S和/或CO2。在一实施例中,光源发射出从4000至5000nm范围内的光线,该范围是吸收二氧化碳的范围。使用比尔(Beer)定律,并假设固定的路径长度,流体试样中的二氧化碳含量正比于该范围内吸收的光线。在另一实施例中,光源发射1900至4200nm范围内的光线,该范围是吸收硫化氢的范围。从该两个频率范围收集到的数据可提供用来确定试样中二氧化碳和硫化氢含量的信息资料。
在一实施例中,IR光源是MIR范围光源。在一实施例中,MIR范围光源是可调光源。可调光源可选自以下组群:由脉冲激光器泵送的光学参数振荡器(OPO)、可调激光二极管,以及带有可调过滤器的宽带光源。在一实施例中,可调MIR光源适于使光脉冲在4300nm处以CO2吸收峰值或靠近该吸收峰值发射。图6是3800至5000nm波段之间的CO2光谱响应曲线,其显示出4300nm处的二氧化碳峰值。可调MIR光源适于使光脉冲在4300nm处以CO2吸收峰值或靠近该吸收峰值发射。
可调MIR光源还可与可调近红外NIR光源组合,以使光脉冲在1900、2300、2600、3800和4100nm处以至少一个H2S峰值或靠近该峰值发射。图7是1500至5500nm波段之间的H2S光谱响应曲线,其显示出1900、2600、4100nm处的H2S峰值。2300和3800nm波段处的平台处于油吸收区域,因此,获得饱和读数。在图7中,由于有水在系统中的影响,纯H2S中4100nm的H2S峰值偏移到大约4300nm的峰值。流体试样中H2O的存在可改变光谱响应,并在分析CO2或H2O试样时可需要加以考虑。
试样中的水含量可以任何方式确定,并可用光学或非光学装置来确定。流体试样中的H2O效果显示在图8中,其中,将纯CO2的光学响应与H2O/CO2之比为5的试样响应相比。纯CO2在2.695和2.777微米(3710和3601cm-1)处的光谱响应偏移成较长的波长,并在含有水的试样中形状较宽。流体试样中的H2O效果进一步显示在图9中,其中,将纯CO2的光学响应和纯H2O的光学响应与H2O/CO2之比为5的试样响应相比。尽管在纯CO2和纯H2O试样中没有光学响应,但混合试样有光谱响应。知道了试样内H2O的含量和效应,就可使用试样的光学响应来确定试样内CO2和H2O的含量。本发明可包括确定试样中H2O的含量,并对光学响应偏移(如果有的话)进行补偿以用来确定试样中H2S和CO2的含量。
在可调光源是宽带光源的实施例中,通过调制驱动电流,或截断电流,这样通过使用相敏探测可避免光谱仪的探测器中不希望的信号,由此对宽带源信号施加频率调制就可改进试样的探测。在另一实施例中,宽带源可以是带有频率调制或不带频率调制的脉动源。
在一实施例中,光源可包括激光二极管阵列。在激光二极管阵列光源系统中,要求的波长由个别激光二极管产生。可控制从激光二极管源中的输出,以提供布置在一起或多元方式布置的信号。在具有激光二极管阵列光源的实施例中,时分复用和/或频分复用可在光谱仪中实现。在一实施例中,一次测量或等价测量可用激光二极管阵列来完成。在一实施例中,无论是探头型还是试样型的光室系统都可被采用。
在一实施例中,光谱仪包括起作传感器作用的探测器,在光通过试样之后,探测器探测从光源发出的光。光谱仪的探测器的有效性可依赖于温度条件。当温度增加时,探测器可变得灵敏度减低。本发明探测器可包括探测器技术的改进。在一实施例中,本发明的探测器可具有减少的热噪音,并可对发射的光具有提高的灵敏度。在一实施例中,探测器选自以下组群:热电堆、光声探测器、热电探测器、量子点探测器、动量门探测器、频率组合探测器、高温固体门探测器,以及通过诸如无限折射率的超材料改进的探测器,以及它们的组合。
在一实施例中,本发明的光谱仪包括传统的IR光谱仪。在传统的IR光谱仪中,光源还可包括分光器。在如此的实施例中,从光源射出的光被分解为两个分开的光束,其中,一个光束通过试样,另一光束通过参照试样。两个光束其后朝向分光器,然后通过探测器。分光器快速地变化两个光束中的哪一个进入探测器。然后将两个信号进行比较,以探测试样的成分。
在一实施例中,光谱仪可用衍射光栅或滤光器来实施,衍射光栅或滤光器允许从白光或宽带源中选择出不同的狭带波长。在一实施例中,使用宽带源的方法是结合了光纤布拉格光栅(FBG)。FBG包括狭带反射镜面,其波长可由FBG加工工艺来控制。在一实施例中,宽带光源用于纤维光学系统中。在一实施例中,纤维光学系统含有具有多个FBG的纤维。在如此的实施例中,宽带源有效地转换为多个具有要求波长的离散源。
在一实施例中,本发明的光谱学方法包括傅里叶光谱学。傅里叶光谱学或傅里叶变换光谱学是用来收集光谱的测量方法。在傅里叶变换光谱学中,不是如传统IR光谱学那样传送通过试样的单色光束,而是含有多个不同频率的光的光束传送通过试样。然后该光谱学方法测量有多少光束被试样吸收。接下来,对光束进行修正来含有不同组合的频率,以给出第二数据点。该过程可重复许多次。在光束通过试样之后,将生成的数据送到计算机,计算机可从数据中推断出每个波长处吸收的情况。在一实施例中,上述光束由宽带光源产生。从宽带光源发射出的光照亮镜子的指定构造,指定构造也被称之为干涉仪,由于波的干涉性,干涉仪允许某些波长通过但阻塞其它波长通过。通过移动其中一个镜子,对每个新的数据点修正光束;这改变通过的多组波长。如上所述,利用计算机的处理,将包括对每个镜子位置的光吸收的原始数据转换为理想的结果,它包括对每个波长的光吸收。该过程还被称之为“傅里叶变换”,原始数据被称之为“干涉图”。当傅里叶光谱学被采用时,需要有扫描过程来形成干涉图。即,光谱仪内部产生针对光束的固定的和可变长度的路径,然后再组合这些光束,由此产生光学干涉。生成的信号包括针对所有不被试样吸收的频率的总和的干涉图形。其结果,测量系统不是一次型的系统,因此采样仪型的探头对用于该类型光谱仪是首选的。在一实施例中,利用任何已知的光源来进行傅里叶光谱学。
在一实施例中,本发明的光谱学是利用IR光源的傅里叶光谱学,也被称之为傅里叶变换红外线(FTIR)光谱学。在一实施例中,IR光被导向通过干涉仪,然后,IR光通过试样,然后获得称之为干涉图的测得信号。在一实施例中,根据该信号数据进行傅里叶变换,其导致与传统红外线光谱学的光谱相同的光谱。FTIR的益处包括较快测量单一谱。因为所有频率处的信息是同时探测的,所以对于FTIR的测量较快。这允许多个试样被采集和一起进行平均,导致灵敏度的提高。
本发明包括测量井下流体特征的方法。测量井下流体特征的方法包括以下步骤:泵送井下流体试样通过分析仪;通过用来自光源的光照射井下流体试样来分析井下流体试样;以及探测光的互相作用,以产生一定范围的数据点,数据点可被解释,并可给出流体试样成分的含量。在一实施例中,分析井下流体试样的步骤在井下进行。在一实施例中,测量井下流体特征的方法是连续的。在另一实施例中,从光源发射出的光有足够波长,来探测CO2和/或H2S。在另一实施例中,从光源发射出的光是中间范围的IR光或MIR。在一实施例中,井下流体试样包括地层流体。在一替代的实施例中,井下流体试样包括95%或以上的地层流体。在更加特殊的实施例中,井下流体试样是地层流体。在另一实施例中,地层流体试样从地层中获得,送到分析仪,通过用MIR光源照射使试样经受分析,然后排放到井下的井孔中。在一实施例中,井下流体试样在测量方法过程中不从井下环境中除去。在一实施例中,井下流体试样在测量方法过程中不减压。在一实施例中,井下流体试样在测量方法过程中不被各种成分分离开。
本发明还包括探测井下环境中CO2的方法。探测井下环境中CO2的方法包括以下步骤:泵送井下流体试样通过分析仪;通过使井下流体试样与来自足够波长的光源的光互相作用来分析井下流体试样,以探测CO2;以及探测光的互相作用,以产生一定范围的数据点,数据点可被解释,并可给出CO2含量。在一实施例中,直接从试样中探测CO2。所谓术语“直接探测”是指CO2含量可根据从光互相作用获得的数据中计算得到,而不依赖于对参考试样的对比。在一实施例中,直接测量井下流体中CO2的方法是连续的。在另一实施例中,从光源发射出的光是中间范围的IR光或MIR。在特殊实施例中,CO2由波长为4000nm至4500nm的IR光探测。在更加特殊的实施例中,CO2由波长为4300nm的IR光探测。在一实施例中,通过从所产生的数据点范围观察4300nm处的峰值来探测CO2。在一实施例中,井下流体试样在测量方法过程中不减压。在一实施例中,井下流体试样在测量方法过程中不被各种成分分离开。

1.一种探测井下环境中二氧化碳的方法,包括:
将井下工具放置到井孔中;
将井下流体试样提供到井下工具中;
通过用光源发射出的具有足够波长的光来照射井下流体试样,分析井下工具中的井下流体试样,以探测二氧化碳;
探测与流体试样互相作用的光;以及
测量探测到的光,以产生一定范围的数据点,所述数据点表示试样中存在的二氧化碳的量;
其中,光源发射2100nm或以上的波长。
2.如权利要求1所述的方法,其特征在于,光源是产生红外光的红外光源。
3.如权利要求1所述的方法,其特征在于,红外光包括中红外光范围的波长。

通过用光源发射出的具有足够波长的光来照射井下流体试样,分析井下工具中的井下流体试样,以探测硫化氢;
探测与流体试样互相作用的光;以及
测量探测到的光,以产生一定范围的数据点,所述数据点表示试样中存在的硫化氢的量。
11.如权利要求10所述的方法,其特征在于,光源是产生红外光的红外光源。
12.如权利要求11所述的方法,其特征在于,红外光包括中红外光范围的波长。
13.如权利要求11所述的方法,其特征在于,红外光包括1900至5000nm的波长。

将井下工具放置到井孔中;
将井下流体试样提供到井下工具中;
通过用红外光源发射出的具有足够波长的光来照射井下流体试样,分析井下工具中的井下流体试样,以探测二氧化碳和硫化氢;
探测与流体试样互相作用的光;以及
测量探测到的光,以产生一定范围的数据点,所述数据点表示试样中存在的二氧化碳和硫化氢的量;
其中,红外光源产生波长为1900nm或以上的红外光。。
20.如权利要求19所述的方法,其特征在于,红外光包括2500至5000nm的波长。
21.如权利要求19所述的方法,其特征在于,红外光包括4000至4500nm的波长。
22.如权利要求19所述的方法,其特征在于,通过观察所产生的数据点范围2300nm处的峰值以探测试样中的硫化氢,通过观察所产生的数据点范围4300nm处的峰值以探测试样中的二氧化碳。
23.如权利要求19所述的方法,其特征在于,红外光包括中红外光范围和近红外光范围的波长。
24.如权利要求19所述的方法,其特征在于,分析井下流体试样是用红外线光谱学来进行的。
25.如权利要求19所述的方法,其特征在于,还包括确定井下流体试样中任何的H2O含量,补偿探测光中任何的偏移,以及从H2O含量生成数据点。
26.一种用于探测二氧化碳和硫化氢的井下工具装置,包括:
工具体,所述工具体包括探头、泵和分析仪;
其中,探头适于从井中的地层中抽出地层流体;
其中,分析仪包括红外光源和探测器;
其中,红外光源发射波长为1900nm或以上的红外光。
27.如权利要求26所述的井下工具装置,其特征在于,红外光源发射波长为2500nm至5000nm的光。
28.如权利要求26所述的井下工具装置,其特征在于,红外光源发射波长为4000nm至4500nm的光。
29.如权利要求26所述的井下工具装置,其特征在于,分析仪能够在井下环境中操作。
30.如权利要求26所述的井下工具装置,其特征在于,泵将地层流体试样从地层抽取到井下工具内,以便分析井下流体。
