技术领域
本发明涉及一种管联接件,尤其涉及一种用于挤压在管联接件中的密封件的边缘上以确保恰当密封的装置。
背景技术
现有技术中存在许多种可移动带式管联接件。注意贯穿说明书和权利要求,术语“管”包括任何种类的大体圆柱形物体。
例如,一个市场上可买到的管联接件类型具有密封夹持外壳。夹持构件面对面地定位并且紧固元件被紧固成将环形密封元件挤压在插入穿过密封夹持外壳的管子的外部上。
在该类型管联接件中,密封件在其轴向长度的两端具有整体成型的环。插入接头中的管子与这些环接触。能调整环的内径以容纳管子的不同外径。密封件沿其长度具有轴向裂缝。当接头紧固在管子上时,密封件的沿着裂缝的边缘或彼此邻接或彼此重叠,且挤压彼此。然而,在环之间的密封件的轴向长度的其余部分比环要薄,且未接触插入接头的管子的外径。因为管子沿着裂缝的大部分未接触密封件,所以可能发生如下问题,密封件的沿着裂缝的边缘未被充分地挤压到一起以形成期望的液密密封。
发明内容
本发明旨在提供一种用于挤压在管联接件中的密封件的边缘上以确保恰当密封的装置,下面将详细描述。
根据本发明的实施例提供一种用于管联接件的密封件挤压装置,包括密封构件和至少一个带翼延伸部,该密封构件具有轴向长度和能够挤压在密封件的内径上的外弯曲轮廓,所述密封构件具有一行轴向安装孔用于在其中接收机械紧固件,所述至少一个带翼延伸部从密封构件的、从密封构件的外弯曲轮廓向内弯曲的端部延伸。
根据本发明的实施例,轴向折痕平行于一行安装孔。该轴向折痕可以位于一行安装孔和至少一个带翼延伸部之间。
根据本发明的实施例,两个带翼延伸部从密封构件的一行安装孔的相反侧的端部延伸。带翼延伸部中的一个带翼延伸部比另一个带翼延伸部靠近一行安装孔。

具体实施方式
现参考图1,其图示根据本发明的非限制性实施例构造和操作的密封件挤压装置10。
密封件挤压装置10包括密封构件12,该密封构件12具有沿着纵向轴线14的轴向长度和能够挤压在密封件(在此未示出,参见图2A-3)的内径上的外弯曲轮廓16。密封构件12具有一行轴向安装孔18,用于在其中接收机械紧固件19(如螺栓,螺钉或铆钉等,这里未示出,参见图2A-3)。一个或多个带翼延伸部20(或图中的22)从密封构件12的端部延伸,该端部从密封构件12的外弯曲轮廓16向内弯曲。在非限制性的图示实施例中,两个带翼延伸部20和22从密封构件12的一行安装孔18相反侧的端部延伸。带翼延伸部中的一个带翼延伸部22比另一个带翼延伸部20靠近一行安装孔18。
图4示出替代结构,其中一个或更多个带翼延伸部20和22具有弯曲末端23,使得没有锋利的边缘将戳进和损坏软质材料的管子(如塑料制成的管子)。注意的是每个带翼延伸部20和22均包括两个被间隙隔开的部分,如图4所示。
根据本发明的实施例轴向折痕24平行于一行安装孔18。所述轴向折痕24位于一行安装孔18和带翼延伸部20之间。
根据本发明的非限制性实施例,现参见图2A,2B,和3,其图示安装在管联接件30中的密封件挤压装置10。
管联接件30包括被设置在环形夹持外壳34中的环行密封件32。环形夹持外壳34具有开口36用于在其中插入管子(未示出)。环形夹持外壳34具有两个夹持构件38和紧固元件40(例如一个或更多个机械的紧固件,如螺栓或螺钉和紧固螺母和可能的垫圈),紧固元件使夹持构件38在横向于环形夹持外壳34的轴向长度的方向上朝彼此夹紧,以便在插入开口36中的管子上施加径向向内夹持力。
当紧固元件40使夹持构件38朝向彼此紧固时,可以由天然或人工的弹性材料制成的环形密封件32被径向地挤压在管子的外表面上且相对于管子的外表面密封地夹持。
管联接件可以是在本发明人于2007年3月5日申请的美国专利申请20080012339中描述的类型,或在本发明人的2009年8月11日公告的美国专利7571940中描述的类型,通过参考将其内容在此并入。然而,本发明不限于这些类型的管联接件。
插入管联接件30中的管子由环形密封件32密封。所插入的管子也挤压在密封件挤压装置10的带翼延伸部20和22上,带翼延伸部继而挤压环形密封件32的轴向边缘。密封件挤压装置10挤压这些边缘的动作确保沿密封件32轴向长度的液密密封。
在一些应用中,仅带有一个带翼延伸部的密封件挤压装置10可以令人满意地工作。然而,在一些应用中,如果仅使用一个带翼延伸部,则可能引起在密封件32的边缘处机械紧固件19上的转矩,并且降低液密密封的紧度。通过在紧固件的相反侧上使用两个带翼延伸部解决该问题,使得一个带翼延伸部消除另一个带翼延伸部的转矩,并且维持液密密封的紧度。
本发明的范围包括在上文中描述的特征的组合和部分组合,也包括在读了前面描述后本领域技术人员作出的现有技术中没有的修改和变型。
Claims (10)
1.一种用于管联接件的密封件挤压装置,包括:
密封构件,所述密封构件具有轴向长度和能够挤压在密封件的内径上的外弯曲轮廓,所述密封构件具有轴向的一行安装孔用于在其中接收机械紧固件;以及
至少一个轴向带翼延伸部,所述至少一个轴向带翼延伸部从所述密封构件的所述外弯曲轮廓向内弯曲的端部延伸,并且其中所述外弯曲轮廓包括轴向折痕。
2.根据权利要求1所述的密封件挤压装置,其中所述轴向折痕平行于所述一行安装孔。
3.根据权利要求1所述的密封件挤压装置,其中所述轴向折痕位于所述一行安装孔和所述至少一个轴向带翼延伸部之间。
4.根据权利要求1所述的密封件挤压装置,其中所述至少一个轴向带翼延伸部包括两个轴向带翼延伸部,所述两个轴向带翼延伸部从所述密封构件的、在所述一行安装孔的相反侧上的端部延伸。
5.根据权利要求4所述的密封件挤压装置,其中所述轴向带翼延伸部中的一个轴向带翼延伸部比另一个轴向带翼延伸部靠近所述一行安装孔。
6.一种管联接件,包括:
环形的密封件,所述密封件设置在环形夹持外壳中,所述环形夹持外壳具有开口用于在其中插入管子,并且所述环形夹持外壳包括夹持构件和紧固元件,所述紧固元件将所述夹持构件在横向于所述环形夹持外壳的轴向长度的方向上朝向彼此紧固,以便在插入所述开口中的管子上施加径向向内的夹持力;
密封构件,所述密封构件具有轴向长度和挤压在所述密封件的内径上的外弯曲轮廓,所述密封构件具有轴向的一行安装孔用于在其中接收机械紧固件;以及
至少一个轴向带翼延伸部,所述至少一个轴向带翼延伸部从所述密封构件的所述外弯曲轮廓向内弯曲的端部延伸,并且其中所述外弯曲轮廓包括轴向折痕。
7.根据权利要求6所述的管联接件,其中所述轴向折痕平行于所述一行安装孔。
8.根据权利要求6所述的管联接件,其中所述轴向折痕位于所述一行安装孔和所述至少一个轴向带翼延伸部之间。
9.根据权利要求6所述的管联接件,其中所述至少一个轴向带翼延伸部包括两个轴向带翼延伸部,所述两个轴向带翼延伸部从所述密封构件的、在所述一行安装孔的相反侧上的端部延伸。
10.根据权利要求9所述的管联接件,其中所述轴向带翼延伸部中的一个轴向带翼延伸部比另一个轴向带翼延伸部靠近所述一行安装孔。
