Abstract

本发明实施例提供了一种媒体适配的方法和装置，属于通信技术领域。所述方法包括：接收来自终端的获取媒体文件的请求；获取所述媒体文件；根据所述媒体文件的信息和本地已存储的所述终端的信息，判断是否需要转码；如果需要转码，则对所述媒体文件进行转码后发送给所述终端；其中，所述终端的信息包含可变参数，所述可变参数为定时获取的。所述装置包括：接收模块、获取模块和适配模块。本发明实施例实现了媒体文件的动态适配，以及在媒体文件请求过程中服务器侧对终端的能力的感知，而且，无需终端做任何改动，可以实现终端不感知的实时适配。
