Abstract

本发明公开了具有局部调节功能的背光装置。本发明的背光装置具有:导光板;一个以上的光源,其设置在导光板的侧面;反射片,其设置在导光板的下面;扩散片,其设置在导光板的上面;以及棱镜片,其设置在扩散片的上面,在导光板的一面具有将导光板划分为多个区域的多个槽,一个以上的光源与多个区域对应,从而能够实现可以仅对期望的区域进行亮度控制的局部调节功能。

Description

具有局部调节功能的背光装置
技术领域
本发明涉及背光装置,更详细地说,涉及如下所述的具有局部调节功能的背光装置:在导光板上形成一个以上的条纹形状的槽,从而将导光板划分为多个区域,通过在所划分的多个区域各自上配置光源,能够仅对期望的区域进行亮度控制。
背景技术
一般而言,导光板(light guide panel)是提供使从光源发出的光均匀地散射及扩散的路径的面板,应用在如液晶显示元件那样的受光型平板显示装置、或在照明等中使用的面光源装置上。
作为使用了导光板的面光源装置,广泛使用配置有冷阴极荧光灯(cold cathodefluorescent lamp,CCFL)或LED的装置。在韩国专利申请号第1994-33115号、第2001-25870号、第2001-53844号等中公开有如上所述的面光源装置。
图1是示意地表示以往的面光源装置的剖面图。
参照图1,以往的面光源装置10具有:导光板11;反射片12,其设置在导光板11的下部;光源13,其设置在导光板11的侧壁;以及盖部件14,其覆盖光源13。作为光源13可以使用冷阴极荧光灯或LED等。另一方面,在导光板11上形成有多个导光图案15,其用于使入射到导光板内的光均匀地导光。
在如上所述构成的面光源装置10中,从光源13照射的光入射到导光板11,所入射的光如箭头所示通过导光板11而被导光之后,到达导光图案15而透向导光板11的外部,之后撞到反射片12或直接从上面透过,从而通过上面的扩散片16和棱镜片17,由于导光图案15,在各部位上具有比较均匀的照度而反射。在这样的面光源装置10的导光板11的侧面设置有光源13,为了获得局部调节功能,可以考虑将光源13细分设置为多个的方法。但是,在如上所述的方法中存在如下所述的问题:由于导光板11形成为一体,因此即使使用细分化为多个的光源13来调节亮度,从LED射出的光也会具有一定以上的放射角来扩散,因此不能仅对期望的区域进行亮度控制。
发明内容
本发明是为了解决上述问题而提出的,本发明的目的在于,提供一种能够仅控制导光板期望区域的亮度的、具有局部调节功能的背光装置。
另外,本发明的另一目的在于,提供一种切断光在各区域之间的移动,从而能够容易实现局部调节功能的、具有局部调节功能的背光装置。
为了实现上述目的,根据本发明的实施例,本发明的具有局部调节功能的背光装置的特征在于,包括:导光板;设置在导光板的侧面的一个以上的光源;反射片,其设置在导光板的下面;扩散片,其设置在导光板的上面;以及棱镜片,其设置在扩散片的上面,在导光板的一面具有将导光板划分为多个区域的多个槽,一个以上的光源与多个区域对应地分离形成。
优选地,在多个槽上设置有反射部件或遮光部件,多个槽的深度D在导光板的厚度T的30%以上的范围内。
优选地,上述多个槽为与光源的排列方向正交的条纹形状,槽间的间距P为3mm以下。
如上所述,根据本发明,通过在导光板上形成一个以上的槽,将导光板划分为多个区域,在所划分的多个区域各自上配置光源,从而能够仅控制期望区域的亮度。
另外,根据本发明,通过在形成于导光板上的多个槽上设置反射部件或遮光部件,切断光在各区域之间的移动,能够容易实现局部调节功能。

具体实施方式
以下,参照附图详细说明本发明的具有局部调节功能的背光装置的优选的实施例。
但是,本发明不限定于以下所公开的实施例,能够以各种不同的方式实现,本实施例仅用于使本发明的公开完整,使本领域技术人员能够清楚地理解本发明的范围。
以下,参照附图进行说明。
图2是表示本发明的一实施例的面光源装置的分离立体图。
参照图2,在面光源装置200上设置有导光板210。在导光板210的下部面形成有导光图案220。另外,在导光板210的一面形成有将导光板210区分为多个区域的多个槽230。在导光板210的下部设置有能够将所入射的光向上部反射的反射片240。在导光板210的侧壁分开设置有向导光板210的各区域扫描光的多个光源270。另一方面,在导光板210的上部还设置有使光散射及扩散的扩散片250和调节光的方向的棱镜片260。
从分开设置在导光板210的各区域侧面的光源270出射的光入射到导光板210各自的区域侧面,入射到导光板210的各区域内的光通过全反射效果在导光板210内部导光而移动。被导光的光中的到达导光图案220的光通过超过全反射临界角的入射角而向导光板210的外部射出。由此,从导光图案220射出的光经过反射片240而反射,再次贯通导光板210之后,通过导光板上面的扩散片230而入射到棱镜片260,经过棱镜片260而成为具有高方向性的高亮度的光。此时,导光图案220配置为,在导光板210的各区域内离光源270近的部位的密度低,离光源270远的部分的密度高,从而形成均匀的面光源,分别不同地对多个光源270进行调节,从而有差别地对各个区域调节亮度。另外,可以在多个槽230上设置遮光部件或反射部件来切断光在各区域之间的移动。从而,能够容易地在使用导光板210的边光型背光装置上实现局部调节。
另一方面,图3(a)至(c)表示在本发明的导光板的一面上形成的槽的各种实施例,图4是表示在形成于本发明的一实施例的导光板表面的槽的深度D与导光板的厚度T之间的关系以及槽间间距P的图。
参照图2至图4,根据本发明的一实施例,在导光板210的一面,在导光板210的整个区域上形成有用于划分导光板210的多个槽230,以使仅在期望的区域上使用从多个光源270入射的光。槽230根据想要控制亮度的区域的最小大小,而具有一定的深度。这样的槽的深度D与导光板的厚度T之间的关系,表示在图4。
如图4所示,槽230的深度D优选为在导光板210的厚度T的30%以上,最大100%的范围内,其理由是,在槽230的深度D小于导光板210厚度T的30%时,光切断效果不足,而不能获得充分的对比度。这样的槽230能够通过NC加工、激光加工、冲压加工、射出成型、锻压成型、压出成型等各种方法来形成。另一方面,在槽230上追加设置反射部件或遮光部件,从而切断光在各区域之间的移动,能够容易地实现局部调节功能。
另一方面,如图4所示,槽230构成为与多个光源270的排列方向正交的条纹形状。这是因为,如上所述通过将槽230构成为条纹形状,使从光源270发散的光在条纹形状的槽230上反射或散射,从而减少光向侧面扩散,能够变更光的路径以向槽230的方向直线前进。另外,为了使光在通过扩散片230以及棱镜片260之后,看不到条纹形状的槽230的亮线,优选尽可能减小间距。根据本发明,槽230之间的间距P优选为3mm以下。
在以上的附图与说明书中公开了最佳实施例。此处,虽然使用了特定用语,但这只是为了说明本发明而使用的,不用于限定意义或限定权利要求书中记载的本发明的范围。因此,本领域技术人员能够进行各种变形及实施均等的其他实施例。因此,本发明的真正的技术保护范围由记载于权利要求书中的技术思想而确定。

Claims (4)

1.一种具有局部调节功能的背光装置,其特征在于包括:
导光板;
设置在所述导光板的侧面的一个以上的光源;
反射片,其设置在所述导光板的下面;
扩散片,其设置在所述导光板的上面;以及
棱镜片,其设置在所述扩散片的上面,
在所述导光板的一面具有将导光板划分为多个区域的多个槽,
所述一个以上的光源与所述多个区域对应地分离形成。
2.根据权利要求1所述的具有局部调节功能的背光装置,其特征在于,
在所述多个槽上设置有反射部件或遮光部件。
3.根据权利要求1所述的具有局部调节功能的背光装置,其特征在于,
所述多个槽的深度(D)在所述导光板的厚度(T)的30%以上的范围内。
4.根据权利要求1所述的具有局部调节功能的背光装置,其特征在于,
所述多个槽为与所述光源的排列方向正交的条纹形状,槽间的间距(P)为3mm以下。
