Liquid level indicator 34 is the parts with recess; The a pair of angled sidepiece 90 and 92 that has basically the face 88 parallel and face 88 is connected to the wall 22 of container 18 as shown in the figure with the wall of container 18 22; With the formation prism, thus can be by the liquid level of photoelectric detector 86 definite boxes 74.
Photoelectric detector 86 can be suitable imaging device and light source, such as charge coupled device (CCD) or CMOS device, perhaps preferably can be contact image sensor.Contact image sensor is the one-dimensional array that is used to create the photoelectric detector of image basically. An instance of contact image sensor is from the obtainable Model M106-A6-R1 of COMS Sensors company module. This contact image sensor size is less relatively, and is advantageously used among the present invention.Though as stated, also can use other photoelectric detector according to the present invention.
Figure 10 shows the light emission figure through liquid level indicator, such as 34 (prism of Figure 10 is not depicted as the size identical with Fig. 9).Liquid level indicator 34 and photoelectric detector 86 cooperations, thus liquid level detected through the light transmissive physical phenomenon of passing prism and have between the material boundary of different refractivity. As what those skilled in the art will recognize that, when light intersects with the border between right angle and the two kinds of media, nearly all light all transmission through this border.Yet, when light when intersecting less than the border between 90 ° angle and the two kinds of media, some light transmissions, and some luminous reflectance.Change of refractive has been confirmed the transmission of how much light and how many luminous reflectance between the angle of light and the two kinds of media. This principle is applied to the present invention, to detect the liquid level in the box 74.Liquid level comprises two groups of boundary conditions in the photoelectric detector 86 detection boxes 74 of use such as contact image sensor. One group of boundary condition is below liquid level, and another group boundary condition is present on the liquid level. Two groups of boundary conditions have two interfaces. An interface is between air and box material, and another interface is between box material and box inclusions, i.e. aspirated liquid and tissue or air.First interface between air and the box material is insignificant, because the amount of light of reflection is with identical, and does not receive the influence of box inclusions.Second interface between box material and the box inclusions is most important, because catoptrical amount is directly relevant with the box inclusions. Each bar line of Figure 10 shows catoptrical this difference.
Further consider above-mentioned reflex strength notion, through customization reflection and transmission coefficient, the fluid that can realize existing and the more big difference between the non-existent fluidic intensity. This can be through feature molded is realized on the box wall, and is as above said with reference to figure 9.The light quantity that photoelectric detector 86 receives the light quantity direct and reflection of media boundary is proportional.Through keeping watch on the light quantity that each photoelectric detector place receives, can confirm liquid level. The point that liquid level will change corresponding to intensity of reflected light.
Figure 11 and 12 shows the alternative according to liquid level indicator of the present invention.Figure 11 shows the liquid level indicator 94 with raised zones 96, thereby raised zones has amplified any fluid in the container, allows photoelectric detector 100 to confirm the liquid level of box 101 thus. Liquid level indicator 94 and 98 cooperations of contrast colour band, thus there is fluidic band 98 in raised zones 96 amplifications, do not have fluidic band and do not amplify, as shown in Figure 12.Subsequently, photoelectric detector 100 can confirm that the band that amplifies changes over the point of the band that does not amplify.Raised zones 96 is lens basically, and it utilizes the difference of refractive index between air and the fluid. In the embodiment of Figure 11, be molded with raised zones 96 like compartmentalized box for holding assorted fruits and candies, it is enlarged image, for example is positioned at the band 98 on the opposite side of box.Figure 13 shows according to still another embodiment of the invention.Figure 13 comprises the partial elevation view of similar above-mentioned box sidewall 102, and comprises the liquid level indicator 104 that is similar to aforesaid indicator 34.Indicator 104 also comprises geometric figure 106, perhaps other sign, and it can be used for discerning in the operation type with the box that uses. This identification is easily for system user, because can distinguish later box and more preceding box, and the surgeon is presented in correct surgery setting.Sign 106 preferably is arranged in indicator 104, is in the position that does not need level detection.
Thereby having shown ophthalmic surgical cassette of the present invention and system, its change will be tangible to those skilled in the art. This change will fall into the scope of the present invention and said claim.
