Abstract

技术领域
本申请涉及一种新型的材料,该材料被用作聚乙烯和聚(对苯二甲酸乙二醇酯),通常已知为PET的替代品。聚乙烯和PET有很多用途。例如,利用聚乙烯和PET涂层可以制成防水或耐水的纸或纸板。由这样的防水或耐水的纸或纸板可以制造许多产品,例如,盘子,托盘或其他容器。这些产品可以用于例如在微波炉中待被再加热或烹制的食品的预包装中。
背景技术
Kirk-Othmer化学百科全书,第三版,24栏,第454页,John Wiley & Sons公司,1984,教导了防水纸或纸板,其涂布有或层压有复合热塑性材料(multi-thermoplastic materials),例如高密度聚乙烯,或者涂布有聚合物的水胶乳溶剂溶液,包括重要的商业热塑性产品PET。由此得到的纸或纸板可用于盒子,袋,滚筒,和其他工业产品和包装材料中的容器衬板。由于对水、油、水蒸气、氧气和其他气体的优异的隔离性能,使得涂布有这些树脂的纸和纸板尤其有价值并适合用作包装材料和盒子。
理想地,这些产品可以再生。但是,当被包含在纸和/或纸板产品上时,PET不能再生(参见,上述Kirk-Othmer,第3栏,第497-502页)。当处于纸和/或纸板产品的混合物中时,PET不能再生。当与纸和/或纸板产品层压时,PET不能再生。所以,对于聚乙烯和PET,需要找到一种合适的替代物。否则,木材资源将被进一步掠夺以产生新产品或者代替产品;可怕的垃圾掩埋空间将被填满;对废纸产品的焚烧将导致进一步的污染。
发明内容
本发明提供了一种对于涂布有或层压有复合热塑性材料,例如聚乙烯,或者涂布有这些材料如PET的水胶乳溶剂溶液的纸或纸板产品的替代品。根据本发明,该聚乙烯和/或PET替代涂层可以适用于所有类型的纸张,袋材料(bag stock),令纸卷(ream wrap),卷筒纸(roll wrap),瓦楞纸,折叠板,固体纤维,基于纸的可微波加热的或传统的烤炉,食物托盘。根据本发明,防水或耐水的纸和纸板产品由用含丙烯酸类的材料代替先前使用的聚乙烯和/或PET而形成。
根据本发明,丙烯酸类或丙烯酸酯类,优选是丙烯酸(CH2=CHCO2H)或者甲基丙烯酸(CH2=CH(CH3)CO2H)的衍生物,可被制造为聚合物以代替产品,例如防水或耐水的纸和纸板中的PET或聚乙烯。
该丙烯酸类或者丙烯酸酯类可以用来制备涂层和溶液聚合体,聚合过程提供了适于多种应用形式的高产量的聚合物。通过用于其制备过程中受控的单体比率的不同、交联、和分子量的控制,该聚合物产品可以被制造为物理性能广泛改变的产品。它们具有对化学环境侵蚀的共同的高抵抗力、优异的清晰度、以及好的强度特性。除了丙烯酸本身,丙烯酸甲酯、丙烯酸乙酯、丙烯酸丁酯、丙烯酸异丁酯和丙烯酸2-乙酯被商业上大规模生产,并纯度都可高于98-99%。
丙烯酸酯的合适的交联剂包括锌的化合物,例如氧化锌溶液。氧化锌溶液是氧化锌粒子通常在含水载体中的细悬浮体。其他化合物可被用作交联剂。优选地,至少一种交联剂选自氧化锌、氧化铵、氧化钙、硬脂酸钙、硬脂酸镁、氧化铝、异硬脂酸盐、氧化镁、氧化锡、氧化钨、钨酸钠、二水合钨酸钠、氧化钛、硬脂酸铝、辛酸锌、脂肪酸的锌盐、氧化锆、异硬脂酸钙、脂肪酸的钙盐、脂肪酸的镁盐和脂肪酸的铝盐。
在本发明的一个实施方式中,该交联剂包括盐(如上所述)以及丁酸和5-碳酸,例如均2-甲基丁酸(isobolic 2-methyl buteric)和N-戊酸。一般地,脂肪酸为动物和/或植物油脂的脂肪酸并且排除不适合的,因为潜在使用来自有问题动物的动物油并未明确。在这种情况下,优选无机物。采用多于一种物质来形成交联剂是包括在本发明的范围之中的。但是,在本说明书和权利要求书中的术语“交联剂”包括以上描述的组合物以及引发丙烯酸类材料中的交联反应的热、辐射或任何其他方法。
商业上可用的合适的交联剂包括氧化锌溶液1号,可从Johnson WaxSpecialty Chemicals of Racine,威斯康星州获得。以足够交联丙烯酸类材料的量使用该交联剂。
本发明的丙烯酸类材料优选地以任何方式被涂布到纸或纸板材料上。例如,在生产纸和牛皮纸衬垫的过程中,卷纸和牛皮纸衬垫从双卷轴或狭缝或螺纹绞车上释放至更小尺寸的辊或被送至压片机,如切截尺寸压片机。优选利用涂布纸盒或其他纸制品的两种方法。第一种方法是确定为帘式涂布工艺。一完整板在制纸行业中公知的“帘式涂布”工艺中通过一帘本发明所述的丙烯酸类乳状液。板的正面和反面均被涂布该乳状液。第二种涂布工艺是“阶梯流”。该阶梯流工艺与帘式涂布工艺不同,在于任意形状或尺寸的常规瓦楞纸盒可以放置在一端,使得该瓦楞凹槽是竖直的,以允许该乳状液充满整个结构,丙烯酸乳状液均匀平整地喷泻在以易于运输堆放的处于平坦位置的容器。其他的涂布方法包括在纸张制造过程中涂布纸或纸板。例如,在造纸或纸或牛皮纸的衬垫过程中在压力工序之后,但在典型的造纸工艺的干燥工序之前,该纸板可被喷射乳状液或被浸入处于典型的施胶压力的乳状液中,或者在砑光工序之前或之后。
根据本发明的说明书和权利要求书,“涂布”意味着“涂覆”或“浸渍”,除非另有说明。本发明的涂层具有出色的抵抗油、脂或其他材料的渗透的能力,并且当用于托盘或盘并容纳面粉或面粉类食品、蛋类、意大利面食、和调味汁和带有或不带有肉汁或调味汁的蔬菜和/或肉类时,其也具有出色的剥离性能。所以,本发明能够广泛应用于需要加热、烹饪、再加热、微波加热或其他炉加热的食品的包装。

具体实施方式
在以下的实施例中,比较涂层和产品以给出基于可获得的样品的宽泛多样化的实验条件。所有的实验使用10盎司的圆“派盘”进行,六种不同涂层组合物如下:
1)56#牛皮纸w/bake-kote 48 RC(Spectra-Kote)
2)35#牛皮纸w/涂层
3)35#牛皮纸w/涂层
4)层压至56#牛皮纸的涂层
5)层压至56#牛皮纸的涂层
6)粘合剂层压的金色PET w/PET上的光面涂层
对于各个涂层,在两个样品盘中烘烤黄蛋糕和传统的布朗尼蛋糕。样品1,2,3之间没有显著的不同,但是样品1似乎比样品2和3稍微更粘盘。样品4,5,6比样品1,2,3能更好地剥离产品。各个样品在烘炉中的位置会导致烘烤质量的一些不同并且看起来烘烤得更完全的一些样品,例如样品4,能很好地剥离布朗尼和蛋糕。样品5,6也是这种情况,但是不能和样品4一样好地剥离。
样品4,5,6比样品1,2,3更好地剥离。特别是在很好地烘烤的时候,样品4有最好的剥离性能。剥离性的汇总可在图1中看到。
第二组实验与第一组实验相似地实施,包括PET的对比例。涂层如下:
1)56#牛皮纸w/bake-kote 48 RC(Spectra-Kote)
2)56#松木衬垫
3)层压至56#牛皮纸
4)56#松木衬垫w/PET上的金色亚光涂层
5)56#松木衬垫w/涂层
对于各个涂层,在两个样品盘中烘烤乳蛋饼。在样品2-5之间没有显著不同,但是样品2有稍多的乳蛋饼粘在其中。样品1表现较差,它们中的一个几乎不能剥离乳蛋饼。样品1比其他任何样品被油脂浸湿得更多。除了样品1的所有样品,都是可接受的涂层。图2显示了样品1的照片图样,与图3对比,图3是根据本发明制造的托盘在剥离产品后的对比图片。

Claims (7)

1.食品容器,其包括具有正面和反面的结构层,所述正面和反面各自涂布有相同的聚合物涂层,和包括与所述聚合物涂层接触的食品,其中,所述聚合物涂层防止所述食品粘附在所述结构层上,其中所述结构层包括选自如下的组分:纸张、纸板、瓦楞纸、袋材料、令纸卷、卷筒纸、折叠板、固体纤维以及它们的组合,其中,所述聚合物涂层由从如下单体形成的聚合物组成:丙烯酸乙酯、甲基丙烯酸乙酯、丙烯酸丁酯、丙烯酸异丁酯、甲基丙烯酸异丁酯、甲基丙烯酸2-乙酯、和它们的混合物。
2.如权利要求1所述的食品容器,其中所述聚合物涂层是交联的。
3.如权利要求2所述的食品容器,其中,所述食品选自:蛋类、面粉、面粉替代物、奶类、奶类替代物、奶油、奶油替代物、糖类、糖类替代物、黄油、黄油替代物、巧克力、巧克力替代物、香草、香草替代物、坚果、豆类、蔬菜、干酪、肉汁、调味汁、油类、意大利面食,以及它们的组合。
4.如权利要求2所述的食品容器,其中,所述容器适合用来在选自以下的加工步骤中容纳食品:加热、烹饪、再加热、微波加热、烘烤,以及它们的组合。
