本发明涉及一种液晶显示装置,其包括一液晶面板和一框架。该液晶面板用于显示画面的一侧定义为显示面,该框架包括一侧壁,该侧壁界定一显示窗口,该液晶面板收容在该框架内并与框架的侧壁抵接,该液晶面板的显示面位于该显示窗口内,且该侧壁与该液晶面板抵接处的高度低于该液晶面板的显示面高度。

技术领域
本发明涉及一种液晶显示装置。
背景技术
目前,液晶显示装置因轻、薄、占用空间小、辐射小等特点,逐渐占据了显示产品的主流,而普遍应用于台式电脑、个人数字助理(Personal Digital Assistant,PDA)、手机、电视及多种办公自动化与视听设备中。液晶显示装置通常包括液晶面板与收容该液晶面板的框架。液晶面板一般包括一薄膜晶体管基板和一彩色滤光片基板,薄膜晶体管基板周围会涂布框胶,框胶用于贴合该薄膜晶体管基板及彩色滤光片基板,并在薄膜晶体管基板、彩色滤光片基板及框胶围成的收容空间内填充液晶分子。框胶外围涂布有导电胶点,用于导通该薄膜晶体管基板及彩色滤光片基板。
然而,液晶显示装置在冷热交替的环境下,液晶显示装置的显示区边缘会出现黑色的阴影,俗称黑太阳现象,且液晶面板的导电胶点位置发现轻微的腐蚀现象,液晶面板显示异常
发明内容
为了解决现有技术液晶显示装置的液晶面板显示异常的问题,有必要提供一种可正常显示的液晶显示装置。
一种液晶显示装置,其包括一液晶面板及一框架。该液晶面板用于显示画面的一侧定义为显示面。该框架包括一侧壁,该侧壁界定一显示窗口,该液晶面板收容在该框架内并与框架的侧壁抵接,该液晶面板的显示面位于该显示窗口内,且该侧壁与该液晶面板抵接处的高度低于该液晶面板的显示面高度。
相较于现有技术,该液晶显示装置在冷热交替的环境下,其表面出现的结露流向液晶面板边缘时,由于该侧壁与液晶面板抵接处的高度低于该液晶面板的显示面高度,则露水在此处较容易排出,其不会聚集在此处,从而降低形成高湿度环境的机率,降低水气对液晶面板的破坏程度,降低液晶面板发生金属腐蚀的机率,保护液晶显示面板正常显示。

具体实施方式
为了了解液晶显示装置产生黑太阳现象的原因,经过反复验证,发现一般框架的侧壁是完全将液晶面板包围在其内,框架侧壁的高度高于液晶面板显示面的高度。在冷热交替的环境下,液晶显示装置表面会有结露现象,露水较易聚集在液晶面板边缘与框架侧壁的抵接处,导致水气进入形成高湿度环境,而液晶面板的导电胶点一般距离液晶面板边缘较近,其主要为导通薄膜晶体管基板和彩色滤光片基板,因此会有电流流通,且导电胶点一般是利用氧化铟锡(Indium Tin Oxide,ITO)透过孔洞(Via)与薄膜晶体管基板内部的金属线作连接,而孔洞常设计为绝缘层挖洞,即氧化铟锡通过该孔洞直接与薄膜晶体管基板侧的金属线接触而实现电连接,但此种制程下因绝缘层破坏导致绝缘层对薄膜晶体管基板内部的线路及组件的保护效果较差,因此导电胶点处成为液晶面板发生腐蚀的高风险位置,且电流通效应加上高湿度环境下较容易造成金属腐蚀,进而造成框胶附着性不佳使空气进入液晶层,发生液晶面板显示异常。
请一并参阅图1和图2,图1是本发明液晶显示装置第一实施方式的示意图,图2是图1沿II-II方向的部分剖面图。该液晶显示装置200包括一液晶面板210及收容该液晶面板210的框架220。该液晶面板210包括一薄膜晶体管基板212及相对该薄膜晶体管基板212设置的彩色滤光片基板214,该薄膜晶体管基板212周围涂布有框胶213,该框胶213用于贴合该薄膜晶体管基板212及彩色滤光片基板214,并且该薄膜晶体管基板212、彩色滤光片基板214及框胶213界定一收容空间(图未示),该收容空间用于收容液晶层(未标示),该框胶213外围分别涂布有多个导电胶点216,该多个导电胶点216一般为银胶点,用于导通该薄膜晶体管基板212及彩色滤光片基板214。彼此相对的彩色滤光片基板214与薄膜晶体管基板212上分别形成有公共电极(图未示)与像素电极(图未示)以便向液晶层施加电场,使得液晶面板210用以显示,该液晶面板210将画面呈现给使用者一侧定义为显示面。
该框架220包括一侧壁222,该侧壁222界定一显示窗口(未标示),液晶面板210收容在该框架220内并与框架220的侧壁222抵接,且该液晶面板210的显示面位于该显示窗口内,该侧壁222与液晶面板210抵接处的高度低于该液晶面板210的显示面高度。
该液晶显示装置200在冷热交替的环境下,其表面出现的结露流向液晶面板210边缘时,由于该侧壁222与液晶面板210抵接处的高度低于该液晶面板210的显示面高度,则露水在此处较容易排出,其不会聚集在此处,从而降低形成高湿度环境的机率,降低水气对液晶面板210的破坏程度,降低液晶面板210发生金属腐蚀的机率,保护液晶面板210正常显示。
请参阅图3,图3是本发明液晶显示装置第二实施方式的示意图。本发明第二实施例与第一实施例基本相同,其不同在于:该液晶显示装置300的框架320的侧壁322包括多个凹槽324,该多个凹槽324是矩形凹槽,该多个凹槽324相对该液晶面板310的导电胶点316的位置设置,使得液晶面板310设置有导电胶点316位置处,液晶面板310是与框架320的凹槽324对应,因此此处无框架320的侧壁322与之抵接。
由于液晶面板310设置有导电胶点316位置处,是与框架320的凹槽324对应,因此无框架320的侧壁322与之抵接,则此处更不易形成高湿度环境,更有利于保护液晶面板310,降低导电胶点316处的液晶面板310发生金属腐蚀的机率。
请参阅图4,图4是本发明液晶显示装置第三实施方式的示意图。本发明第三实施方式与第二实施方式基本相同,其不同在于:该多个凹槽424为梯形凹槽。
请参阅图5,图5是本发明液晶显示装置第四实施方式的示意图。本发明第四实施方式与第二实施方式基本相同,其不同在于:该多个凹槽524沿平行于显示面的方向贯穿该侧壁。
然而,该液晶显示装置并不限于上述实施方式所述,该多个导电胶点的个数可依据需要进行变更,至少有一个即可,该凹槽的形状及个数也可以根据需要变更,例如,该凹槽为多个,部分凹槽为矩形凹槽,部分凹槽为梯形凹槽,只要液晶面板设置有导电胶点位置处,液晶面板与框架的凹槽对应,此处无框架的侧壁与之抵接即可。

Claims (9)

1.一种液晶显示装置,其包括一液晶面板和一框架,该液晶面板用于显示画面的一侧定义为显示面,该框架包括一侧壁,该侧壁界定一显示窗口,该液晶面板收容于该框架内并与框架的侧壁抵接,该液晶面板的显示面位于该显示窗口内,其特征在于:该侧壁与该液晶面板抵接处的高度低于该液晶面板的显示面高度。
2.如权利要求1所述的液晶显示装置,其特征在于:该液晶面板包括一薄膜晶体管基板、与该薄膜晶体管基板相对设置的彩色滤光片基板。
3.如权利要求2所述的液晶显示装置,其特征在于:该薄膜晶体管基板周围涂布有框胶,该框胶贴合该薄膜晶体管基板及彩色滤光片基板,且该薄膜晶体管基板、彩色滤光片基板及框胶界定一收容空间,该收容空间用于收容液晶层。
4.如权利要求3所述的液晶显示装置,其特征在于:该框胶外围涂布有至少一导电胶点,该至少一导电胶点导通该薄膜晶体管基板及彩色滤光片基板。
5.如权利要求4所述的液晶显示装置,其特征在于:该侧壁包括至少一凹槽,该至少一凹槽对应该液晶面板的导电胶点设置。
6.如权利要求5所述的液晶显示装置,其特征在于:该至少一凹槽为矩形凹槽。
7.如权利要求6所述的液晶显示装置,其特征在于:该矩形凹槽沿平行于显示面的方向贯穿该框架侧壁。
8.如权利要求5所述的液晶显示装置,其特征在于:该至少一凹槽为梯形凹槽。
9.如权利要求5所述的液晶显示装置,其特征在于:该凹槽为多个,部分凹槽为矩形凹槽,部分凹槽为梯形凹槽。
