Abstract

The invention discloses a backlight module of a liquid crystal display panel, which is suitable for preventing static discharge from damaging a backlight LED and a circuit board. The backlight module comprises a light bar, a bracket and a connecting member, wherein the light bar comprises a plurality of LEDs positioned on the first surface of the light bar and a grounding copper sheet positioned on the second surface of the light bar; the bracket is used for accommodating the light bar when the light bar is pushed in; one surface of the connecting member is electrically connected to the bracket and the other surface is electrically connected with the grounding copper sheet on the second surface of the light bar. By adopting the backlight module, the grounding copper sheet is laid on the back surface of the light bar of the backlight module, and the grounding copper sheet is adhered on the bracket through a conductive double sticky tape, thus static discharge protection can be better carried out. In addition, the copper sheet laid on the back surface of the light bar is relatively larger, the conducting effect between the copper sheet and the sticky tape is better, and the impedance of a static discharge protection path is lower.

Technical Field
The present invention relates to a liquid crystal panel of a liquid crystal display, and more particularly, to a backlight module capable of effectively preventing electrostatic discharge in the liquid crystal panel.
Background
Currently, for any kind of thin film transistor liquid crystal display (TFT-LCD), the backlight module inside the TFT-LCD often generates static electricity during the assembly process, although the static electricity may be generated in various ways, for example, it may be generated by an operator during the assembly process or generated by a machine during the assembly process, however, it is most concerned that the high-voltage static electricity, if not effectively released or eliminated, may easily damage the backlight LED and the related circuit board.
In the prior art, a commonly used technical solution is to fabricate an annular guard band on a circuit board so as to generate a low-impedance conduction path around the circuit board of the light bar to release static electricity. For example, in order to effectively guide static electricity to the housing, a copper plate is exposed on the front surface of the Light Bar (Light Bar), and an electrically conductive aluminum foil is attached to contact with the bracket to form a low-impedance conductive path. However, the above-described bonding method complicates and complicates the assembly process, and in the case of a serious problem, a circuit failure such as warpage of the aluminum foil or abnormal short circuit may occur.
In view of this, a problem to be solved by those skilled in the art is how to design a more reasonable esd protection structure in a backlight module of a liquid crystal panel.

Aiming at the defects of the backlight module in the prior art during electrostatic discharge protection, the invention provides a novel backlight module.

a light bar, comprising:
the plurality of light emitting diodes are positioned on the first surface of the light bar; and
the grounding copper sheet is positioned on the second surface of the light bar;
the bracket is used for accommodating the light bar when the light bar is pushed in; and
and one side of the connecting piece is electrically connected to the bracket, and the other side of the connecting piece is electrically connected to the grounding copper sheet on the second surface of the lamp strip.
Preferably, the connecting member is an electrically conductive double-sided tape. In one embodiment, the double-sided tape completely covers the grounded copper sheet of the second surface. In another embodiment, a double-sided tape partially covers the grounded copper sheet of the second surface.
Preferably, the second surface of the light bar is the back surface of the circuit board.
Preferably, the first surface of the light bar further comprises a plurality of grounding pads, and the grounding pads are electrically connected with the grounding copper sheet on the second surface. In addition, the area of the grounding pad of the first surface is smaller than that of the grounding copper sheet of the second surface. Further, the resistance value of the electrostatic discharge protection path based on the grounding copper sheet on the second surface is smaller than that of the electrostatic discharge protection path based on the grounding pad on the first surface.
By adopting the backlight module of the liquid crystal panel, the grounding copper sheet is laid on the back surface of the lamp strip of the backlight module, and the grounding copper sheet is adhered to the bracket through the conductive double-sided adhesive tape, so that electrostatic discharge protection can be better performed. Fig. 1 is a schematic diagram illustrating a surface of a light bar for esd protection in a backlight module of a liquid crystal panel according to a preferred embodiment of the invention. As mentioned above, in order to prevent high voltage static electricity generated during manual or machine operation, a certain static electricity discharging path is often required to protect the backlight LED of the backlight module and the corresponding circuit board from being damaged. Referring to fig. 1, the backlight module at least includes: light bar 10, bracket 20 and connector 30. The bracket 20 is used for accommodating the light bar 10 when the light bar 10 is pushed in. Also, the light bar 10 has two surfaces, namely a first surface and a second surface, and a grounding copper sheet is laid on the second surface, for example, a grounding copper sheet area 102 on the back surface of the light bar 10.
It is easy to see that when the connecting member 30 is used to electrically connect the grounding copper sheet region 102 and the bracket 20, an electrostatic discharge path with a relatively small resistance value can be formed, so that the backlight LED and the circuit board in the backlight module are not damaged after the high-voltage static electricity is formed. Preferably, the connecting member 30 may be an electrically conductive double-sided tape. However, it should be understood by those skilled in the art that the connector 30 of the present invention can be other conductive media for electrically connecting the grounding copper sheet region disposed on the back of the light bar 10 and the bracket 20.
Further, according to one embodiment, the double-sided adhesive tape 30 may be sized to completely cover the grounded copper skin area 102 on the back of the light bar 10. According to another embodiment, the double-sided adhesive tape 30 can be sized to partially cover the grounded copper skin area 102 on the back of the light bar 10. Moreover, the grounding terminals on the front and back sides of the light bar 10 are electrically connected together, so that when the grounding copper area 102 on the back side of the light bar 10 is electrically connected to the bracket 20, the grounding terminal on the front side of the light bar 10 is also electrically connected to the bracket 20. Thus, the esd protection can cover not only the circuit components disposed on the front side of the light bar 10, but also other circuit components disposed on the back side of the light bar 10.
Fig. 2 shows a schematic view of another surface of the light bar shown in fig. 1. Referring to fig. 2, the first surface of the light bar 10 includes a plurality of leds 106 and a grounding pad 104, when the light bar 10 is pushed into the bracket 20, the connecting member 30 is adhered to the grounding copper sheet area on the back surface of the light bar 10, and since the exposed area of the copper sheet in the grounding area can be set relatively large, the conduction effect between the copper sheet and the connecting member is better. As can be seen from fig. 2, the grounding pad on the front surface of the light bar 10 is 104, and if the connecting member 30 is adhered to the grounding pad 104, the assembly process of the backlight module becomes more complicated, and in some cases, the connecting member 30 may curl or the conduction effect between the two may be deteriorated when the light bar 10 is pushed into the bracket 20. Comparing fig. 1 and fig. 2, it is easy to know that the resistance value of the esd protection path formed by the grounding copper sheet area 102 on the back side of the light bar 10 is much smaller than the resistance value of the esd protection path formed by the grounding pad 104 on the front side of the light bar 10, so that the light bar 10 and the bracket 20 can be electrically connected by using the connector 30 of the present invention, so that the high voltage static electricity generated in the assembling process can be more rapidly discharged, and the working efficiency of the esd protection is improved.
In view of this, in the backlight module of the liquid crystal panel of the present invention, the grounding copper sheet is laid on the back surface of the light bar of the backlight module, and the grounding copper sheet is adhered to the bracket by the conductive double-sided tape, so that the electrostatic discharge protection can be better performed. In addition, the copper sheet area that the lamp strip back laid is great relatively, and the effect of conducting between copper sheet and sticky tape is better, and the impedance in electrostatic discharge protection route is lower, can link together more firmly between lamp strip and the support moreover.

a light bar, comprising:
the plurality of light emitting diodes are positioned on the first surface of the light bar; and
the grounding copper sheet is positioned on the second surface of the light bar;
the bracket is used for accommodating the light bar when the light bar is pushed in; and
and one surface of the connecting piece is electrically connected to the bracket, and the other surface of the connecting piece is electrically connected to the grounding copper sheet on the second surface of the light bar.
2. The backlight module of claim 1, wherein the connector is an electrically conductive double-sided tape.
3. The backlight module of claim 2, wherein the double-sided tape completely covers the grounded copper sheet of the second surface.
4. The backlight module of claim 2, wherein the double-sided tape partially covers the grounded copper sheet of the second surface.
5. The backlight module of claim 1, wherein the second surface of the light bar is a back surface of the circuit board.
6. The backlight module of claim 1, wherein the first surface of the light bar further comprises a plurality of grounding pads in electrical communication with the grounding copper sheet of the second surface.
7. The backlight module of claim 6, wherein an area of the ground pad of the first surface is smaller than an area of the ground copper sheet of the second surface.
8. The backlight module of claim 7, wherein a resistance value of an ESD protection path based on the grounding copper sheet of the second surface is smaller than a resistance value of an ESD protection path based on the grounding pad of the first surface.
