Detailed Description
Exemplary embodiments of the present disclosure will be described in more detail below with reference to the accompanying drawings. While exemplary embodiments of the present disclosure are shown in the drawings, it should be understood that the present disclosure may be embodied in various forms and should not be limited to the embodiments set forth herein. Rather, these embodiments are provided so that this disclosure will be thorough and complete, and will fully convey the scope of the disclosure to those skilled in the art.
Referring to fig. 1 to 7, the display panel 100 of the present invention includes:
the display comprises a backboard 1, an integrated circuit 2, a pixel layer 3 and an electromagnetic shielding layer 4 which are sequentially arranged along the direction far away from the backboard 1;
the back plate 1 is grounded, the integrated circuit 2 is connected with the pixel layer 3, the first side portion 41 of the electromagnetic shielding layer 4 is electrically isolated from the back plate 1, and the first side portion 41 is the side of the electromagnetic shielding layer 4 closest to the integrated circuit 2, so that damage of static electricity entering through the back plate 1 to the integrated circuit 2 is blocked.
The Display panel 100 may be a Liquid Crystal Display (LCD), an Organic Light-Emitting Diode (OLED), or a Light-Emitting Diode (LED), but is not limited thereto.
This display panel 100 can be the display panel of mobile unit, and because mobile unit has higher requirement to security and reliability, the inspection of leaving the factory is stricter, so mobile unit adopts the display panel 100 that this application provided, can increase the qualification rate and the safety in utilization of leaving the factory. Of course, the display panel may also be used in products such as notebook computers, tablet computers, mobile phones, etc., without limitation.
As shown in fig. 1, the electromagnetic shielding layer 4 is disposed on the pixel layer 3 to reduce interference of external electromagnetic energy to the pixel layer 3, thereby performing a shielding function. The electromagnetic shielding layer 4 has conductivity and transparency, and the resistance value is generally 100-200 ohms. Specifically, the electromagnetic shielding layer 4 is often made of an ITO thin film, i.e., a transparent conductive film of an indium tin oxide semiconductor, to satisfy the requirements of light transmission and electric conduction.
The specific structure of the pixel layer 3 is different according to the type of the display panel. If the display panel 100 is a liquid crystal display panel, the pixel layer 3 includes an array substrate, a liquid crystal layer, and a color filter substrate sequentially arranged in a direction away from the backplane 1. If the display panel 100 is an OLED display panel, the pixel layer 3 includes a transistor layer, a first electrode layer, a light emitting layer, and a second electrode layer sequentially arranged along a direction away from the backplane 1.
Backplate 1 is the support and the protection part of display panel 100, for reinforcing ESD protection and power consumption safety, sets up backplate 1 ground connection to set up backplate 1 and prepare for electrically conductive material, specifically can set up backplate 1 and be the metal backplate.
An Integrated Circuit (IC) 2 is often disposed on one side of the electromagnetic shielding layer 4. Specifically, as shown in fig. 1, the integrated circuit 2 is disposed near the first side portion 41 and at the same layer as the electromagnetic shielding layer 4 and/or the pixel layer 3. The integrated circuit 2 may also be bent under the first side portion 41 by a flexible board, wherein the integrated circuit 2 is connected to the pixel layer 3, and the integrated circuit 2 may be a display driver IC or a power supply IC, which is not limited herein.
Since the integrated circuit 2 in the display panel 100 is a device with weak ESD tolerance capability, and the ESD rating that the integrated circuit 2 can bear per se is about ± 3kV, and the ESD test standard is ± 8kV or ± 15kV, the integrated circuit 2 is often damaged during the test, so that the product cannot pass the certification. Therefore, in the present invention, the electromagnetic shielding layer 4 is electrically isolated from the backplane 1 at the first side portion 41 closest to the integrated circuit 2, that is, the first side portion 41 is completely insulated and disconnected from the backplane 1, or a resistor is arranged between the first side portion 41 and the backplane 1 for buffering conduction. Therefore, ESD energy can be totally or mainly acted on the back plate 1 and is led out through grounding, the ESD energy can not be directly acted on the integrated circuit 2, the integrated circuit 2 which is easy to be damaged by static electricity is effectively protected, and the reliability of a product is improved.
There are various ways of electrically isolating the first side portion 41 from the backplate 1, for example, fixing the electromagnetic shielding layer 4 and the backplate 1 by using an insulator structure, or connecting the first side portion 41 and the backplate 1 through a resistor with a resistance of 100 ohms or more, so as to implement no limitation.
In some alternative embodiments, as shown in fig. 1 to 6, fixing structures 5 (the thick solid line in the cross-sectional view indicates the fixing structure 5, and the shaded portion in the top view indicates the fixing structure 5) may be disposed on the side surfaces of the display panel 100, and the fixing structures 5 are disposed on the side surfaces of the electromagnetic shielding layer 4 and the back plate 1 to wrap and fix the side edges of the display panel 100, so as to perform the supporting and fixing functions. The fixing structure 5 may be wholly or partially made of a conductive material to perform a fixing function and enhance shielding against electromagnetic interference. Wherein the fixing structure 5 may be an adhesive tape for easy assembly and reduced occupied volume.
In combination with the fixing structure 5, there are various ways to realize the electrical isolation between the first side portion 41 and the back plate 1, and three ways are listed as follows:
first, as shown in fig. 1 and fig. 2 (fig. 1 is a cross-sectional view of a display panel 100 in an embodiment of the invention, and fig. 2 is a top view of the display panel 100 in the embodiment of the invention shown in fig. 1), a fixing structure 5 is made of a conductive material and is in contact with a backplane 1, wherein the fixing structure 5 and an electromagnetic shielding layer 4 are disposed at an interval.
Specifically, the fixing structure 5 may be a conductive adhesive tape or a conductive frame, and the fixing structure 5 is connected to the backplane 1 on the bottom surface of the display panel 100, is electrically connected to ground, and covers the side surface of the display panel 100, so as to fix components in the display panel 100 and achieve an electromagnetic shielding effect. The fixing structure 5 only covers the edge of the front surface of the display panel 100, does not contact the electromagnetic shielding layer 4, and is spaced apart from the electromagnetic shielding layer 4 to be insulated from the electromagnetic shielding layer 4, so that the back plate 1 and the electromagnetic shielding layer 4 are electrically isolated from each other.
The above-mentioned first electric isolation setting that provides has not only consolidated display panel 100 through fixed knot structure 5, has still strengthened electromagnetic shield effect through fixed knot structure 5's electric conductive property and ground connection setting to realize backplate 1 and electromagnetic shield layer 4's complete open circuit electric isolation, can effectively guarantee that the ESD energy is all acted on backplate 1 and derive through ground connection, protected integrated circuit 2. However, since the backplane 1 and the electromagnetic shielding layer 4 are arranged in an electrically isolated manner, and the electromagnetic shielding layer 4 is completely insulated and broken, electric charges are generated during the shielding process, and the electric charges cannot be released, which may cause a white screen abnormality of the display panel 100.
Secondly, as shown in fig. 3 and fig. 4 (fig. 3 is a second cross-sectional view of the display panel 100 in the embodiment of the invention, and fig. 4 is a top view of the display panel 100 in the embodiment of the invention shown in fig. 3), the fixing structure 5 is made of a conductive material, wherein the fixing structure 5 and the first side portion 41 are arranged at an interval, the fixing structure 5 connects the second side portion 42 of the electromagnetic shielding layer 4 and the back plate 1, wherein the second side portion 42 is opposite to the first side portion 41.
Specifically, the fixing structure 5 may be a conductive tape or a conductive frame, and the fixing structure 5 is connected to the backplane 1 on the bottom surface of the display panel 100, is electrically connected to the ground, and covers the side surface of the display panel 100, so as to fix components in the display panel 100 and achieve an electromagnetic shielding effect. The fixing structure 5 covers only the edge of the front surface of the display panel 100, is connected to and electrically connected to the second side portion 42 of the electromagnetic shielding layer 4, but does not contact the first side portion 41 of the electromagnetic shielding layer 4, i.e., is spaced from the first side portion 41, and further increases the resistance of the electromagnetic shielding layer 4 in the current path between the rear plate 1 and the first side portion 41, thereby realizing the electrical isolation arrangement in which the resistance serves as a buffer.
As shown in fig. 4, the fixing structure 5 may be further disposed to be spaced apart from the third side 43 and the fourth side 44 of the electromagnetic shielding layer 4, wherein the third side 43 and the fourth side 44 are respectively located at two ends of the first side 41 and are connected to the first side 41, so as to increase the resistance between the backplane 1 and the first side 41, and enhance the protection of the integrated circuit 2.
The second electrical isolation arrangement provided above not only reinforces the display panel 100 through the fixing structure 5, but also enhances the electromagnetic shielding effect through the conductive performance and the grounding arrangement of the fixing structure 5. In addition, the current path between the back plate 1 and the first side portion 41 needs to pass through the resistor of the electromagnetic shielding layer 4, so that electrical isolation through the resistor is realized, most of the ESD energy can be effectively ensured to act on the back plate 1 and be led out through grounding, and the integrated circuit 2 is protected. Further, since the backplate 1 and the second side portion 42 are conducted through the fixing structure 5, the charges generated by the electromagnetic shielding layer 4 in the shielding process can be released from the second side portion 42 through the fixing structure 5, thereby avoiding the display panel 100 from having a white screen abnormality. The shielding effect of the electromagnetic shielding layer 4 is also enhanced by the grounding of the electromagnetic shielding layer 4.
Third, as shown in fig. 5 and fig. 6 (fig. 5 is a cross-sectional view of the display panel 100 in the embodiment of the invention, and fig. 6 is a top view of the display panel 100 shown in fig. 5 in the embodiment of the invention), the fixing structure 5 includes an insulating portion 51 and a conductive portion 52. The insulating portion 51 is made of an insulating material and is provided on the first side portion 41 of the electromagnetic shield layer 4. The conductive portion 52 is made of a conductive material and disposed on the second side portion 42 of the electromagnetic shielding layer 4, wherein the second side portion 42 is opposite to the first side portion 41, and the conductive portion 52 connects and electrically connects the second side portion 42 and the back plate 1.
Specifically, the insulating portion 51 may be an insulating tape or an insulating frame, and the conductive portion 52 may be a conductive tape or a conductive frame. The conductive part 52 is connected to the back plate 1 on the bottom surface of the display panel 100, is electrically connected to ground, and covers the side surface of the display panel 100 close to the second side part 42, so as to fix the components in the display panel 100 and achieve the electromagnetic shielding effect. The conductive portion 52 covers an edge position of the second side portion 42 of the electromagnetic shielding layer 4 to be connected to and electrically connected to the second side portion 42. The insulating part 51 covers the back plate 1 at the bottom surface of the display panel 100, covers the side surface of the display panel 100 close to the first side part 41, and covers the edge position of the second side part 42 of the electromagnetic shielding layer 4, so as to achieve a better fixing effect on the components in the display panel 100.
As shown in fig. 6, an insulating part 51 may also be disposed on the third side part 43 and the fourth side part 44 of the electromagnetic shielding layer 4, wherein the third side part 43 and the fourth side part 44 are respectively located at two ends of the first side part 41 and connected to the first side part 41, so as to increase the resistance value between the backplane 1 and the first side part 41 and enhance the protection of the integrated circuit 2.
The third electrical isolation arrangement provided above not only reinforces the display panel 100 by the fixing structure 5, but also enhances the electromagnetic shielding effect by the conductive property and grounding arrangement of the conductive portion 52 in the fixing structure 5. Moreover, due to the electrical isolation of the insulating portion 51, the current path between the backplate 1 and the first side portion 41 needs to pass through the resistor of the electromagnetic shielding layer 4, so that the electrical isolation through the resistor is realized, most of the ESD energy can be effectively ensured to act on the backplate 1 and be led out through grounding, and the integrated circuit 2 is protected. Further, since the back plate 1 and the second side portion 42 are electrically connected through the conductive portion 52, charges generated by the electromagnetic shielding layer 4 during the shielding process can be released from the second side portion 42 through the conductive portion 52, and the display panel 100 is prevented from being abnormal in white screen. The shielding effect of the electromagnetic shielding layer 4 is also enhanced by the grounding of the electromagnetic shielding layer 4.
Of course, the manner of electrically isolating the first side portion 41 from the back plate 1 with the fixing structure 5 is not limited to the above three, and all the fixing structures 5 may be made of an insulating material such as an insulating tape or an insulating frame to provide a fixing function and to electrically isolate the first side portion 41 from the back plate 1.
As shown in fig. 1, the display panel may further include: the support 6 fixes the back plate 1, the pixel layer 3 and the electromagnetic shielding layer 4 on the inner side of the support 6, and the fixing structure 5 is coated on the outer side of the support 6 to further reinforce and stabilize the positions of all the components in the display panel 100. The support 6 is an insulating support to ensure an electrically isolated arrangement between the first side 41 and the back plate 1.
In some alternative embodiments, the display panel 100 may further include, as shown in fig. 7, according to the type and functional requirements of the display panel: the backlight module 7 and the upper polarizer 8 are sequentially arranged along the direction far away from the back plate 1, wherein the pixel layer 3 and the electromagnetic shielding layer 4 are both arranged between the upper polarizer 8 and the backlight module 7. A lower polarizer 9 can be arranged between the optical module 7 and the upper polarizer 8, and the pixel layer 3 and the electromagnetic shielding layer 4 are arranged between the upper polarizer 8 and the lower polarizer 9. Of course, the display panel 100 may further include other components, such as a gasket, a protective layer, etc., which are not limited and are not listed here.
Based on the same inventive concept, an embodiment of the present invention further provides a display device, as shown in fig. 8, which is a structural diagram of the display device in the embodiment of the present invention, including: the embodiment of the invention provides a display panel 100.
It should be noted that the display device may be a vehicle-mounted display screen, a notebook computer, a television, a tablet computer, a mobile phone, or a medical display device, and the like, which is not limited herein.

Therefore, when the grounded back plate is impacted by ESD, ESD energy is totally or mainly acted on the back plate and is led out through grounding, the ESD energy cannot be directly acted on the integrated circuit, the integrated circuit which is easy to be damaged by static electricity is effectively protected, and the reliability of the product is improved.
