本发明涉及一种用于执行网际协议(IP)多媒体子系统(IMS)的收费功能的方法和设备。
背景技术
本文档描述了一种用于增强费用收集功能的方法和设备,使用第三代电信系统作为实例。
第三代合作伙伴计划(3GPP)和第三代合作伙伴计划2(3GPP2)融合工作(称为IP(网际协议)多媒体子系统(IMS))的提出引入了新的聚合网络单元,后者以基于IP的信令协议和载体连接为基础。目标是针对电信创建一致的基于无线和有线IP的控制网络。IMS网络单元包括:代理-呼叫会话控制功能(P-CSCF)、查询-CSCF(I-CSCF)、服务-CSCF(S-CSCF)、媒体网关控制功能(MGCF)、出口网关控制功能(BGCF)、媒体资源功能控制器(MRFC),以及应用服务器(AF)。为了在聚合的IMS网络中执行收费功能,每个网络单元都具有到新的元件(称为收费收集功能(CCF))的已定义接口。在3GPP(版本5)和3GPP2标准文档中定义的CCF是IMS网络中的离线收费网络单元。CCF收集来自IMS元件的会话收费信息并构建和格式化收费数据记录(CDR)。它提供中间数据存储缓冲并提供了向操作员的计费系统(BS)传输收费信息的机制。
对于IMS,CCF提供了将收费信息从IMS元件传输到操作员选择的计费系统(多个)的机制。CCF负责从IMS元件收集会话收费信息。CCF还可以用作中间数据存储设备并且因此需要支持在指定时间段(在使用简档中给出)内存储CDR。此外,3GPP标准中的CCF必须创建ASN.1(抽象语法表示.1)基础收费细节记录。使用FTP(文件传输协议)将这些CDR在名义上传输到BS/BMD(计费协调设备),但是也可以使用其他协议和传输方法。CCF可以以近乎实时的方式从IMS元件接收数据。其应具有足够的存储来使得其能够在文件模式中将收集的收费数据传输到BS。CCF可以支持关于BS的若干传输协议。CCF的目的之一是减少BS与发送收费数据的IMS元件之间的不同接口的数量。
在IMS系统中,由在线收费服务器(OCS)执行在线收费。IMS元件实时地向OCS查询收费信息。OCS使用内置的费率确定引擎(ratingengine)确定呼叫的费率并且提供对会话的信用控制。OCS还在终止呼叫时生成CDR。OCS可以支持预付费和后付费两种模式。
3GPP和3GPP2将上述IMS收费架构归纳到整个3G网络,后者包括电路交换和分组交换网络。
但是,不存在(无论是在3GPP还是在3GPP2中)支持CCF中的收费和费率概念的标准,使得其无法在CDR中提供呼叫费用。必须在后端办公计费系统中处理所有费率和计费信息。这将IMS/CCF的能力仅限于后付费和离线计费。
2006年3月7日授权的美国专利7,010,104涉及位于CCF内的预计费器的初步概念。CCF可以收集来自收费数据记录(CDR)的收费信息并且构建到任何费率确定引擎的DiameterR0信用控制请求(CCR)消息以确定呼叫的费率。预计费器将所接收的呼叫费用作为新的参数(可由计费系统拉回)插入CDR。但是,该专利未提供关于何时和如何操作和执行预计费器功能,以及经由预计费器可以创建哪个CDR的信息。
3GPP版本6和版本7标准中更改了IMS离线收费架构。CCF功能被升级到收费数据功能(CDF)和收费网关功能(CGF)。CDF与网络单元连接以经由DiameterRf消息接收收费信息并创建每个网络单元的每个会话(呼叫)的收费数据记录(CDR),这导致每个会话产生多个CDR;许多网络单元都可能参与会话并且所有网络单元都向CDF发送收费信息。CGF是CDF与BS/BMD之间的网关以预处理和存储CDR。
现有技术的问题是基于CCF的预计费器无法将一个会话中的多个CDR相关,因为网络单元可能将收费信息发送到IMS网络中的多个CCF。基于CCF的预计费器从一个CDR可能不能获得足够的收费信息来构建到OCS的正确CCR消息以确定呼叫的费率。
发明内容
申请人仔细研究了现有技术并确定在商业上需要更加紧密集成的系统。当CGF可以可选地将一个会话(呼叫)中的多个CDR关联成单个CDR时,CGF应成为实现预计费器能力的自然位置,所述单个CDR包含预计费器确定呼叫费率的完整收费信息。此外,CGF CDR文件过滤功能基于策略管理规则确定哪个CDR(非相关或相关)应插入有呼叫费用。
相应地,申请人发现了一种方法和设备,用于通过利用收费网关功能(CGF)将IMS电信会话中涉及的各个网络单元产生的各种收费数据记录集合在一起以及将这些记录从预计费器发送到在线收费系统或计费系统以确定呼叫费率,来集成IMS的收费过程。有利地,此布置将一个会话的所有收费数据拉到一起并在集成过程中确定呼叫费率并对呼叫计费。
根据申请人的发明的一个优选实施例,收费数据记录关联功能组装呼叫会话的所有收费数据记录,并且在收费数据记录过滤和路由功能的控制下,将这些记录发送到预计费器,或者如果不需要确定费率(rating),则将这些记录直接发送到计费系统。预计费器将费率确定请求发送到在线收费系统或计费系统中的费率确定引擎或独立的费率确定引擎。费率确定引擎确定呼叫的费率并将费率确定结果(呼叫费用)发送回预计费器。预计费器将呼叫费用插入CDR。在收费数据记录过滤和路由功能的控制下,确定费率后的(rated)CDR被路由到选定的适当文件管理系统并且将被拉回/推送到计费系统或其他协调设备。
现有技术的CCR是信用控制请求,即从预计费器到OCS的DiameterR0消息。在现有技术中,CCF中的预计费器使用来自CDR的收费信息构建CCR消息。在本发明中,CGF中的预计费器功能使用来自相关CDR的收费信息构建CCR消息。尽管CCR自身没有改变,但是CCR消息内包含的收费信息更加完整。

图1是示出申请人的发明的操作的方块图。在一个或多个网络单元101处发起呼叫会话。网络单元包括:代理-呼叫会话控制功能(P-CSCF)、查询-CSCF(I-CSCF)、服务-CSCF(S-CSCF)、媒体网关控制功能(MGCF)、出口网关控制功能(BGCF)、媒体资源功能控制器(MRFC),以及应用服务器(AF)。
网络单元每个都经由Rf接口105向收费数据功能(CDF)109进行报告。收费数据功能构建每个网络单元的收费数据记录114,后者被传递给一个会话(呼叫)中的收费网关功能(CGF)120。CGF可以接收来自一个或多个CDF的多个CDR。
收费网关功能包括收费数据记录关联功能,其用于组装与会话(呼叫)关联的所有收费数据记录;CDF可以生成一个会话的多个CDR;这要求CGF将多个CDR关联成单个CDR。收费网关功能还包括收费数据路由和过滤功能122,以便正确地处理每个此类单个的CDR。过滤和路由功能模块发现需要确定呼叫费用的那些收费数据记录并将其与获取费率确定引擎响应所需的计时的指示一起发送到预计费器124。预计费器经由DiameterR0接口126与可以位于计费系统之内的费率确定引擎128通信,或与OCS中的费率确定引擎129通信,或与独立的费率确定引擎127通信。
预计费器的功能是提供呼叫费用信息并在适当时刻将包括所述呼叫费用信息的收费数据记录传递到适当的子目录和/或适当的外设以便开具发票。
网络单元是物理实体或受程序控制的功能(非物理)实体,例如:代理-呼叫会话控制功能(P-CSCF)、查询-CSCF(I-CSCF)、服务-CSCF(S-CSCF)、媒体网关控制功能(MGCF)、出口网关控制功能(BGCF)、媒体资源功能控制器(MRFC),以及应用服务器(AF)。Rf接口是离线收费的Diameter基准点。收费数据功能是物理地位于IMS收费系统内的软件模块。收费网关功能是位于IMS收费系统内的软件模块。收费网关功能还容纳有收费数据记录关联功能、呼叫数据记录路由和过滤功能,以及预计费器。DiameterR0接口是在线收费的基准点。费率确定引擎是位于适当处理系统内的软件模块,用于提供计算特定呼叫会话的费用的信息;所述信息将包括这样的项目,如初始收费、附加分钟的收费,以及针对特殊媒体服务(如视频)的特殊收费。费率确定引擎可以基于呼叫会话中涉及的各方的身份和位置来提供此类信息。
在线收费系统是用于实时生成预付费和后付费记录的处理系统。在此实施例中,在线收费系统还提供了费率确定引擎128,以确定来自CGF的预计费器的CDR的费率以便对呼叫CDR离线收费。
在线收费系统还可以连接到一个或多个应用服务器132。这些应用服务器之一可用于向宾馆/汽车旅馆收费系统提供几乎即时的信息。
图2是示出包括所涉及的软件模块的申请人发明的操作的流程图。呼叫会话启动并且该呼叫会话中涉及的所有网络单元都经由Rf消息向收费数据功能发送收费信息(操作块201)。收费数据功能创建一个或多个收费数据记录(操作块203),通常,为来自呼叫中涉及的每个网络单元的输入创建一个记录。收费数据功能然后经由网关接口将收费数据记录发送到收费网关功能(操作块205)。
收费网关功能中的收费数据记录关联功能标识并组装与呼叫关联的所有收费数据记录(操作块207)。
收费网关功能过滤和路由模块判定是否需要已确定费率的呼叫数据记录。过滤功能判定是否应确定CDR费率的一些基本规则如下:
1.呼叫类型(例如,无需确定免费呼叫(美国800电话)的费率);
2.服务类型(例如,来自接收不受限的本地服务(作为替换,具有较高的每月账单)的站的本地呼叫);
3.内容类型(例如,话音、SMS/MMS、视频);
4.应用服务器信息(例如,电话卡、虚拟专用网络(VPN)呼叫);
5.媒体信息(例如,通常确定无线或视频电话的费率);
6.呼叫方和被叫方号码(例如,通常无需确定虚拟专线服务电话的费率);
7.实时计费(hot billing)呼叫(例如,宾馆/汽车旅馆电话需要即时确定费率);
8.对被监视线路的呼叫可能必须被确定费率。
9.对于移动虚拟网络运营商(MVNO)呼叫,后端办公操作可以从CGF直接拉到CDR并确定CDR的费率。
如果需要确定费率,则过滤和路由模块将收费数据记录转发到预计费器(操作块209)。
预计费器然后从收费数据记录构建DiameterR0信用控制请求(CCR)消息,并且将这些消息连同响应时限的指示一起发送到在线收费系统(操作块211)。费率确定信息包括这样的信息,如初始收费、每分钟的收费,以及针对会话的特定媒体的特殊收费。在线收费系统处理CDR消息并请求费率确定引擎确定呼叫的费率。在线收费系统在所述时限内请求确定费率(操作块213)。在线收费系统然后在R0信用控制应答消息内向预计费器返回结果代码和由费率确定引擎所确定的呼叫费用参数(操作块215)。预计费器将信用控制应答消息内发现的呼叫费用作为新的字段插入收费数据记录中(操作块217)。预计费器将确定费率后的收费数据记录转发到过滤和路由模块(操作块219)。过滤和路由模块确定要将收费数据记录归档到哪个子目录并向该文件路由收费数据记录(操作块221)。然后,计费域或计费系统将在给定时间间隔内推送/拉回收费数据记录文件(操作块223)。然后,计费域或计费系统基于与特定客户关联的呼叫数据记录的呼叫费用以非实时方式生成发票。在某些情况下,收费数据记录文件将被发送到处理CDR的应用服务器以生成计费发票;例如,宾馆/汽车旅馆计费应用服务器以近乎实时的方式处理CDR以生成计费发票。
在某些情况下,过滤功能可以将CDR归档在多个目录内。例如,如果呼叫涉及有线和无线连接,则两个子文件中都需要表项。

Claims (6)
1.一种在电信网络中执行在线和离线计费电信呼叫的处理的设备,所述设备包括:
用于响应接收到涉及多个网络单元的电信呼叫会话,建立作为丢失呼叫费用数据的多个收费数据记录的装置;
用于向提供所述丢失呼叫费用数据的收费网关功能发送所述收费数据记录的装置;
所述收费网关功能包括:预计费模块、收费数据记录路由和过滤模块,以及收费数据记录关联功能;
所述收费数据记录关联功能用于将属于一个呼叫的所有收费数据记录组装成单个收费数据记录;
所述路由和过滤模块用于判定是否需要费率信息以及用于请求所述预计费模块请求所述费率信息;
所述预计费模块用于从费率确定引擎请求费率信息以及用于完成所述收费数据记录以响应接收到所述费率信息;
所述路由和过滤模块用于将完成的收费数据记录路由到计费系统的适当文件。
2.根据权利要求1的设备,还包括:
用于将收费数据路由到应用服务器以便组装即时收费的装置。
3.根据权利要求1的设备,其中所述费率确定引擎在所述计费系统之内。
4.根据权利要求1的设备,还包括:在线收费系统,用于实时地生成预付费和后付费收费记录。
