Technical Field

Background
After the terminal accesses the network, if the signal quality of the current serving base station of the terminal is degraded, the terminal may wish to switch to a neighboring cell with better service quality in order to obtain better service quality, where the neighboring cell may be a neighboring base station or a neighboring cell.
In the prior art, a serving base station issues a neighbor broadcast message at a certain time interval, where the neighbor broadcast message carries neighbor information, and the neighbor information includes: the configuration information of the wireless parameters of the adjacent regions and the change times of the configuration information of the wireless parameters of the adjacent regions.
The prior art has the following defects:

After the terminal provided by the fifth embodiment of the present invention sends the first handover request message, the terminal receives the neighbor cell information sent by the network side device according to the adjusted time, determines the neighbor cell to be handed over to according to the neighbor cell information, and sends the handover request message to the network side device again, where the handover request message carries the identifier of the neighbor cell, so as to improve the success rate of subsequent handover.

or, the base station receives a handover request message sent by the terminal, and determines the sending time of the neighbor cell information to be adjusted when the handover request message does not carry the candidate neighbor cell list.
2. The method of claim 1, wherein:
the adjusting the sending time of the neighboring cell information comprises:
adjusting the sending time of the next adjacent cell information;
or,
and adjusting the period for sending the message carrying the neighbor cell information.
3. A method for sending neighbor cell information is characterized by comprising the following steps:
the base station determines the sending time of the neighbor cell information needing to be adjusted according to the load condition of the base station and/or the number of the terminals accessed after the neighbor cell information is sent last time;
