Abstract

技术领域
本发明涉及实现数据通信网络上的多媒体会话的建立的信令,其涉及IETF(互联网工程任务组)的RFC 3261中定义的SIP(会话邀请协议)协议。
背景技术
图1示出了实现SIP协议的简化结构。例如终端的两个通信单元C和S经由通信网络N彼此相连。它们可以连接到中间通信单元,称作PC和PS。
假设单元C想要与通信单元S建立通信会话。为此,它发送信令消息m至与它相连的代理服务器PC。这个第一消息通常是“Invite”SIP消息。
它然后在到达中间单元PS之前可以由一组图中未显示的中间单元传送,通信单元S与中间单元PS相连。这个信令消息m然后被递送给这个接收方单元S。
第一个通信单元C称作“客户端”而第二个称作“服务器”,但是这些都是功能术语,即通信单元根据情形而担任的角色。客户端是发送信令消息至服务器并等待来自服务器的响应的单元。
通信客户端和服务器可以是通信终端,如图1的例子那样,但是它们也可以是应用服务器或信令服务器,例如在IMS(IP多媒体子系统)结构中实现CSCF(呼叫会话控制功能)的服务器。
SIP信令消息包括用以确保其在通信网络中的路由的多个报头,以及使得双方能建立多媒体会话的信息。

“接口”是指一对IP地址(IPv4或IPv6)和端口号。单个通信单元可以具有多个接口。如果它属于多个通信网络则它可以具有多个IP地址。
图2示出了这种情形。
两个通信单元C和S经由两个通信网络N1和N2而被连接。客户端C因而具有两个IP地址,即分别用于网络N1和N2的HC1和HC2。同样,服务器具有两个IP地址,即分别用于网络N1和N2的HS1和HS2。

在图2的例子中,信令消息M从接口HC1/PC2被发送到接口HS1/PS2,并且指定希望答复到达接口HC1/PC3。服务器S用答复信令消息R来响应,该消息从接口HS1/PS3被发送,由期望的接口HC1/PC3接收。
然而,客户端C可能没有指定它希望服务器向它发送答复消息R所用的接口。它确定使用哪个输出接口的方式取决于实现。
然而,在一些情形中,使用一个接口而不是另一个被证明确实是必要的。例如,如果NAT(网络地址转换)地址转换设备位于客户端C和服务器S之间,或者如果例如IPsec的安全通信协议被用来传输信令消息,则这就是必要的。
因此,需要为通信客户端提供一种用于检查关于服务器使用哪个接口来答复信令消息的判定的机制。
本发明的目的是解决上述缺陷。
发明内容
本发明的第一目的是一种通信客户端,其包括用于发送按照SIP协议的信令消息至通信服务器的第一接口的至少一个发送接口。所述客户端和服务器通过通信网络连接。本发明的客户端的特征在于,其适于将关于所述通信服务器发送其答复信令消息所用的接口的指示插入信令消息中。

符合SIP协议的信令消息包含多个报头。
“From”、“To”和“Contact”报头涉及发送和接收信令消息的单元。在图1所示实例中,假设发送单元是客户端C,而接收单元是单元S。
例如代理服务器PC和PS的每个中间单元将报头“Via”添加至所发送的信令消息。
这个“Via”报头由此使之能够标记由信令消息在网络内所采取的路径。答复消息可以利用该“Via”报头采用反方向的相同路径。以这种方式穿过的每个中间单元删除与它本身有关的“Via”报头。

当服务器拥有多个地址时,当然可以只为地址相关的部分、或只为端口相关的部分、或者为二者而使用这种保留字。在后一情形中,保留字对于地址和端口可以相同或不同。
此外,通信客户端可以被设计成插入关于服务器发送其答复信令消息所用的协议的第二指示。
这个指示可以是协议标识符。这个标识符可以是以下可用传输协议之一的标识符:TCP、UDP等。
这个指示也可以是保留字而不是协议标识符。这个保留字指定了通信服务器在选择发送其答复响应消息所使用的协议时所执行的行为。
这种保留字可以指定要使用的协议与用于信令消息M的相同。它可以指定要使用的协议必须被随机确定。它也可以指示用于确定使用哪个协议的语义标准。
图3、4和5示出了服务器的按照指示所指定的各种不同的动作。在这些例子中,为了使得说明更清楚,客户端UAC和服务器UAS仅具有一个地址。

地址转换设备NAT定义了一个空间或专用网络PRI,以及公共空间PUB。
位于专用网络PRI中的设备A在不太严格的意义上来说具有任何公共地址。为了与公共网络(或经由公共网络的中间单元与其他专业网络)通信,它们必须通过NAT地址转换设备发送它们的消息。这个设备动态地为它们分配公共地址,并且对外出消息进行必要的修改以便用动态分配的公共地址来替代专用地址。

在TCP(传输控制协议)内,一旦从上一个TCP连接消息起经过一个特定的时间段,绑定就被NAT设备删除。
此外,通过除更新剩余时间之外无任何理由地发送消息来人工保持TCP连接开放可能带来损害。在实际中,TCP连接需要每一方中的资源,并且一旦设备必须管理大量TCP连接就会出现部署问题。
通常,NAT地址转换设备也实现防火墙,该防火墙禁止来自位于公共区域PUB的设备B的TCP连接。这个设备B仅通过在设备A发起下创建的现有TCP连接来发送由TCP协议承载的消息至位于专用区域PRI中的设备A。
如上文所述,SIP协议可以由各种不同的协议承载,但是TCP协议所具有的各种优点使得它对于某些应用和情形而言是不可或缺的。
因此,在之前不存在任何TCP连接的情况下设备B希望发送由TCP协议承载的SIP信令消息至设备A时,会出现问题。

3.根据权利要求1所述的通信客户端,其中,所述指示包括指定所述通信服务器为了选择发送其答复信令消息所使用的地址所执行的行为的保留字。
4.根据权利要求3所述的通信客户端,其中,所述保留字是从至少包括以下保留字的一个组中选出的:
-指定要使用的所述地址与所述第一接口的地址相同的保留字;
-指定要使用的所述地址必须被随机确定的保留字;
-指示用于确定要使用的所述地址的语义标准的保留字。
5.根据前述权利要求之一所述的通信客户端,其中,所述指示包含所述通信服务器发送其答复信令消息所使用的端口号。
6.根据权利要求5所述的通信客户端,其中,所述指示包含指定所述通信服务器为了选择发送其答复信令消息所使用的端口号所执行的行为的保留字。
7.根据权利要求6所述的通信客户端,其中,所述保留字是从至少包括以下保留字的一个组中选出的:
-指定要使用的所述端口号与所述第一接口的端口号相同的保留字;
-指定要使用的所述端口号必须被随机确定的保留字;
-指示用于确定要使用的所述端口号的语义标准的保留字。
8.根据权利要求1至4之一所述的通信客户端,其中,所述指示被插入“Via”报头中。
9.一种通信服务器(S),包括用于接收来自通信网络(N1)的进入信令消息(M)的至少一个接口,以及用于发送答复信令消息的第二接口,其特征在于,所述通信服务器被设计成基于包含于所述进入信令消息(M)中的指示来确定所述第二接口,并且,所述通信服务器还被设计成基于包含于所述进入信令消息(M)中的第二指示来确定发送所述答复信令消息所使用的协议。
10.根据权利要求9所述的通信服务器,其中,所述指示包含对应于所述第二接口的地址。
11.根据权利要求9所述的通信服务器,其中,所述指示包含指定为了选择对应于所述第二接口的地址所执行的行为的保留字。
12.根据权利要求11所述的通信服务器,其中,所述保留字是从至少包括以下保留字的一个组中选出的:
-指定所述地址与所述第一接口的地址相同的保留字;
-指定所述地址必须被随机确定的保留字;
-指示用于确定所述地址的语义标准的保留字。
13.根据权利要求9至12之一所述的通信服务器,其中,所述指示包含对应于所述第二接口的端口号。
14.根据权利要求13所述的通信服务器,其中,所述指示包含指定为了选择对应于所述第二接口的端口号所执行的行为的保留字。
15.根据权利要求14所述的通信服务器,其中,所述保留字是从至少包括以下保留字的一个组中选出的:
-指定所述端口号与所述第一接口的端口号相同的保留字;
-指定所述端口号必须被随机确定的保留字;
-指示用于确定所述端口号的语义标准的保留字。
16.根据权利要求9至12之一所述的通信服务器,其中,所述指示被插入“Via”报头中。
17.一种被设计成实现根据权利要求1至8之一所述的通信客户端和/或根据权利要求9至16之一所述的通信服务器的通信终端。
18.一种包括至少一个根据权利要求17的终端的通信网络。
19.根据权利要求18所述的通信网络,其中,所述通信服务器和/或所述通信客户端是实现按照IMS结构规范的CSCF功能的单元。
20.一种通信设备(B),其被设计成当它接收由TCP协议承载且去往位于地址转换设备(NAT)后面的第二通信设备(A)的进入信令消息(MI)时,它向所述第二设备发送使用UDP协议且包含关于所述第二设备(A)发送答复(R)至所述通信设备所使用的接口的指示的信令消息(M),并且在接收所述答复消息之后发送所述进入信令消息(MI),所述指示指定了所述答复必须使用TCP协议。
21.一种包含根据权利要求20的通信设备的通信系统,其中,所述第二设备是根据权利要求9或16的服务器。
22.根据权利要求21所述的通信系统,其中,所述指示被插入“Via”报头。
