技术领域
本发明的各方面涉及一种保护电路模块和一种包括该保护电路模块的可再充电电池组。
背景技术
通常,可再充电电池已经被广泛开发用于便携式装置。最流行的可再充电电池包括Ni-MH电池、锂电池和锂离子电池。
可再充电电池一般包括电极组件和用于容纳该电极组件的壳体。电极组件包括正电极、负电极和隔板。壳体可为罐或袋,由铝或铝合金形成,并用于在壳体的开口被密封之后将电极组件电连接至外部端子。液体或固体电解质被注入壳体。如果壳体由铝或铝合金形成,电池则变得重量轻并且当在高压下长时间使用时不会腐蚀。
目前,许多便携式电子装置变得越来越小。这增加了对小型、轻型并具有高容量的可再充电电池或者可再充电电池组的要求。减小可再充电电池组的尺寸的一个方法是最小化被诸如盖组件和保护电路模块(PCM)等外部装置或部件占据的空间。
发明内容
本发明的各方面提供一种用于可再充电池的保护电路模块。该保护电路模块包括:保护电路板,具有内表面和相反的外表面;和保护电路部件,安装在形成在所述保护电路板的内表面中的孔中,以使所述保护电路部件与所述内表面平齐。
根据本发明的各方面,所述孔可为形成在所述保护电路板内表面中的凹陷,或者所述孔可为在所述保护电路板内、外表面之间延伸的通孔。
根据本发明的各方面,所述保护电路部件被倒置插入在所述孔中,且所述保护电路部件的引线框被焊接至形成在该保护电路板的内表面上的电路图案。
根据本发明的各方面,提供一种可再充电电池组,包括:电极组件,其包括负电极板、隔板和正电极板;壳体,用于容纳所述电极组件和电解质;设置在所述壳体上的保护电路模块。所述保护电路模块包括:保护电路板,具有面对所述电极组件的内表面和相反的外表面;和保护电路部件,安置在形成在所述保护电路板的内表面中的孔中以使所述保护电路部件与所述保护电路板的内表面平齐。

具体实施方式
现在将详细参照示例于附图中的本发明的示例性实施例,其中全文中相同的附图标记代表相同的元件。为了阐释本发明的各方面,以下将通过参照附图来描述示例性实施例。
图1示出根据本发明示例性实施例的罐型可再充电电池组10。电池组10包括裸电池(可再充电电池)100和电连接至裸电池100的保护电路模块200。模制树脂(未示出)可用于将裸电池100连结到保护电路模块200,或者也可使用附加的壳组件实现该连结。
如图2和图3所示,裸电池100包括电极组件120、用于容纳该电极组件120的矩形罐110、以及用于密封罐110的开口的盖组件130。电极组件120包括正电极板、负电极板和介入于二者之间的隔板。液体电解质通过盖组件130上的电解质注入孔134被注入罐110中。连接至正电极板或负电极板的电极端子132穿过盖组件130突出到罐110外侧。电极组件120也被连接到罐110,使得罐110具有与电极端子132相反的极性,并作为电极端子。
为了建立电池组10,裸电池100被连接到安全装置,例如正温度系数(PTC)元件、热熔丝或者保护电路模块。通常裸电池100与安全装置通过树脂模S结合在一起。本发明的附图中未示出PCT元件和热熔丝。
保护电路模块200被连结并电连接至裸电池100,并被电连接到电极端子。保护电路模块200包括保护电路板210和安装在保护电路板210的一个表面上的多个保护电路部件220。保护电路板210包括引线板212,其被电连接至盖组件130的引线板136。
这里,多个保护电路部件220被安装在保护电路板210的内表面,也就是,面对盖组件130的表面上。将保护电路部件220安装在保护电路板210的相反的外表面上会增加保护电路模块200的厚度。尽管保护电路部件200被示出为半导体芯片,保护电路部件220可为各种其他电阻元件或者其他可被附加地安装在保护电路板210上的元件。
孔230形成在保护电路板210的内表面中。孔230提供了用于安装保护电路部件220的空间。孔230的宽度和深度可被设置为可使保护电路部件220被安装为与保护电路板210的内表面平齐。但是,本发明并不限定任何具体的尺寸。另外,尽管示出两个孔230和保护电路部件220,但本发明并不限定孔230和保护电路部件220的具体数目。
引线框222,从保护电路部件220的侧面突出。引线框将保护电路部件220连接到形成在保护电路板210的内表面上的电路图案(未示出)。由于保护电路部件220被安装为与保护电路板210平齐,引线框222可被焊接至电路图案。保护电路部件220可以以倒置的方位安装在孔230中,使得引线框222可从保护电路部件的远离保护电路板210的内表面延伸。这不同于现有技术,在现有技术中保护电路部件一般被安装为使引线框从保护电路部件的接触保护电路板的表面延伸。
然而,保护电路部件220相对于保护电路板210的方位对于本发明的各方面并不关键,只要保护电路部件220被安装在孔230中并与保护电路板220的表面平齐即可。另外,保护电路部件220一般被安装在保护电路板220的内表面。由于保护电路部件220被插入到孔230中,与保护电路部件220没有安装在孔中的时候相比,保护电路模块200的总厚度减小。
由于保护电路部件220被安装在孔230中,裸电池100与保护电路板210之间的间隙可被减小。该减小使得电池组10的长度减小。例如,当保护电路板为0.8毫米(mm)厚时,保护电路部件为0.6毫米厚时,孔230的深度通常至少为0.6毫米。
图4和图5示出根据本发明另一示例性实施例的可再充电电池组20。电池组20包括裸电池100(可再充电电池)和保护电路模块201。保护电路模块201类似于保护电路模块200,不同在于保护电路板210具有与孔230不同的孔240。因此,类似元件将不再详细描述。
孔240是在保护电路板210的内、外表面之间延伸的通孔。孔240的尺寸根据保护电路部件220的尺寸设置。在保护电路部件220被插入到孔240中之后,引线框222连接到保护电路板210的电路图案(未示出)。在该示例性实施例中,保护电路部件220被插入到孔240中,使得保护电路部件220与保护电路板210的内、外表面平齐。通常,当保护电路部件具有与保护电路板210大致相同的厚度,例如0.8毫米时使用通孔。
图6示出袋型可再充电电池组30。电池组30包括保护电路模块400和袋型电池300。保护电路模块400电连接到延伸出电池300的电极接线片310、320。保护电路部件420被插入到形成在保护电路模块400的保护电路板410的内表面中。在可替换实施例中,保护电路部件420可被安装在形成在保护电路板410中的通孔(未示出)中。
由于保护电路部件420被插入保护电路板410内部,保护电路部件420不会增加保护电路模块400的厚度。因此,保护电路模块400可被定位得更接近电池300,从而使电池组30的长度减小。另外,与保护电路部件被安装在保护电路板410的外表面上相比,保护电路部件被更好地保护免受外力。
如上所述,根据本发明各方面的可再充电电池组具有减小的尺寸,并可应用于各种小尺寸的电子装置。
尽管显示和描述了本发明一些示例性实施例,但是本领域技术人员可以理解的是,在不背离由权利要求及其等同替换限定范围的本发明的原则和精神的情况下,可以对这些实施例中进行改变。

Claims (17)

1.一种用于可再充电电池的保护电路模块,包括:
保护电路板,其具有面对所述可再充电电池的内表面和相反的外表面;和
保护电路部件,安装在形成在所述保护电路板的所述内表面中的孔中;
其中所述保护电路部件被安装为与所述保护电路板的所述内表面平齐。
2.如权利要求1所述的保护电路模块,其中所述孔没有延伸到所述保护电路板的外表面。
3.如权利要求1所述的保护电路模块,其中所述孔为在所述保护电路板的所述内表面和所述外表面之间延伸的通孔。
4.如权利要求1所述的保护电路模块,进一步包括:
电路图案,设置在所述保护电路板的所述内表面上;和
引线框,用于将所述保护电路部件连接至所述电路图案,
其中,所述保护电路部件被倒置插入至所述孔中。
5.如权利要求1所述的保护电路模块,其中所述保护电路板包括多个所述孔和设置在各个所述孔中的多个所述保护电路部件。
6.如权利要求5所述的保护电路模块,其中

7.一种可再充电电池组,包括:
电极组件,包括正电极板、隔板和负电极板;

保护电路模块,其被电连接至所述电极组件,包括:
保护电路板,其具有面对所述电极组件的内表面和相反的外表面;
