Abstract

本发明涉及使睫毛卷曲的方法。
2.相关领域的描述
睫毛油组合物常由女性使用以便突出和增强睫毛外观。这类增强可以包括赋予颜色或色调,体积,即厚度和长度,以及卷曲。
现有技术中使用亲水性和疏水性丙烯酸酯聚合物,松香酯类和苯乙烯/烯烃嵌段共聚物的组合作为成膜剂配制卷曲用睫毛油组合物。用于现有技术睫毛油组合物的一种有用类型的疏水性水可分散的丙烯酸酯聚合物为环烷基丙烯酸烷基酯共聚物。还披露了环烷基丙烯酸烷基酯共聚物可用于毛发和指甲组合物,诸如在美国专利US 6,083,516和6,267,951中。
现有技术中可获得的睫毛卷曲水平是有限的。按照常规的睫毛测量技术获得的卷曲限约为55%。
需要拥有能够赋予睫毛高于迄今为止可能的卷曲程度的方法。
发明概述
本发明的目的在于提供赋予睫毛高卷曲度的方法。
本发明的另一个目的在于提供赋予睫毛高卷曲度的方法,该卷曲度相当于55%或55%以上,优选约65%或65%以上且最优选75%或75%以上的卷曲。
按照本发明的这些和其它目的,提供了使睫毛卷曲的方法,该方法具有给睫毛施用无水液体睫毛油组合物的步骤,所述的无水液体睫毛油组合物具有如下成分:a)有机溶剂;和b)可溶于或可分散于所述溶剂中的环烷基丙烯酸烷基酯。有机溶剂以足以溶解或分散环烷基丙烯酸烷基酯共聚物的量存在。所述环烷基丙烯酸烷基酯共聚物的存在量占组合物总重的约0.1wt%-约90wt%。
发明详述
令人意外地发现可以提供赋予睫毛较高卷曲度的方法。还令人意外地发现可以提供赋予相当于55%或55%以上,优选约65%或65%以上且最优选75%或75%以上卷曲的卷曲度的方法。
在该方法中,通过将足够高水平的成膜剂掺入睫毛油组合物获得高卷曲度,所述的成膜剂为一种或多种具有环烷基丙烯酸烷基酯单体的共聚物/聚合物(下文称作共聚物)。优选的环烷基丙烯酸烷基酯共聚物基于具有如下两式A和B的异构体单体:
式A
其中R1和R4各自为单体单元中的氢,但是也可以代表最终聚合物中的端基,且R2和R3各自独立为氢,甲基或C14-C36烷基,其中R2和R3中的至少一个为C14-C36烷基。这类环烷基丙烯酸烷基酯共聚物也称作双环烷基丙烯酸烷基酯共聚物。
优选的环烷基丙烯酸烷基酯共聚物可溶于烃类,诸如异十二烷,但基本上不溶于水。因此,共聚物的成膜作用适用于无水系统。
优选所述的环烷基丙烯酸烷基酯共聚物为具有C14-C36烷基单元的甲基丙烯酸环烷基酯共聚物。优选的甲基丙烯酸环烷基酯共聚物为由Phoenix Chemicals,Inc.,Sommerville,N.J.生产并且在Giovarez AC-5099ML商品名下销售的甲基丙烯酸双环烷基酯共聚物。
该一种或多种环烷基丙烯酸烷基酯共聚物以足以赋予睫毛高卷曲度的量存在。环烷基丙烯酸烷基酯共聚物的存在量占组合物总重的约0.1wt%-约90wt%。更优选环烷基丙烯酸烷基酯共聚物的存在量约为0.5wt%-约50wt%。最优选环烷基丙烯酸烷基酯共聚物的存在量约为2wt%-约35wt%。
睫毛油组合物还可以具有第二种成膜剂,其为包含衍生自松香的酸的一种或多种酯类的形式。本发明优选的酯类为松脂酸甘油酯,松脂酸季戊四醇酯,松脂酸硅氧烷酯及其混合物。松香酸酯类基本上不溶于水。这种不溶性增强了所述酯的成膜作用。
松香酸酯类的存在量占组合物总重的约0.10wt%-约20wt%。更优选松香酸酯类的存在量约为2wt%-约10wt%。
睫毛油组合物包括一种或多种化妆品可接受的有机溶剂。组合物中的有机溶剂作为其它组分的载体起作用并且快速和均匀地溶解或分散所述的组分。所述的有机溶剂可以为挥发性的,不挥发性的或其组合。优选挥发性有机溶剂,因为它们相对快速地蒸发,且由此为睫毛油组合物提供速凝。有用的有机溶剂包括C6-C20烃类,特别是异链烷烃。例如,在美国专利US3,439,088和US3,818,105中披露了异链烷烃,将这两篇文献引入本文作为参考。优选的异链烷烃为异十二烷和异十六烷。其它有用的有机溶剂包括衍生自脂肪酸的酯类,醚类和酸类以及低级醇类和多元醇类。其它有用的溶剂包括乙酸丁酯和乙酸乙酯。硅氧烷油,特别是挥发性直链和硅氧烷也是有用的。
该一种或多种有机溶剂以足以溶解或分散所述环烷基丙烯酸烷基酯共聚物的量存在。优选有机溶剂的存在量占组合物总重的约0.1wt%-约90wt%。更优选有机溶剂的存在量约为0.5wt%-约40wt%。最优选有机溶剂的存在量占组合物总重的约2wt%-约30wt%。
睫毛油组合物为无水的。术语“无水”意指水的存在量低于3wt%且最优选低于1wt%的水。睫毛油组合物采用液体或流体形式。该组合物一般展示出洗剂或霜剂的物理稠度。这种物理稠度使得易于用睫毛刷或类似的涂布器将该组合物施用于睫毛。
睫毛油组合物中任选地具有一种或多种天然或合成蜡。这些蜡可以是硬的或软的。合适的蜡包括,但不限于微白金合欢(abies alba)叶蜡,白粉金合欢(acacia dealbata)花蜡,下延金合欢(acaciadecurrens)花蜡,鸭皂树(acacia farnesiana)花蜡,蜂蜡,巴西棕榈酸蜡,地蜡,鲸蜡酯类,cistus ladaniferus花蜡,代代花(citrusaurantium amara)(苦橙)花蜡,citrus aurantium dulica(橙)花蜡,citrus aurantium dulcis(橙)果皮蜡,copernicia certifera(小烛树)蜡,金雀花(cytisus scoparius)花蜡,edipta prostrata蜡,ericerus pela蜡,euphorbia cerifera(小烛树)蜡,白叶蜡菊(helichrysum angustifolium)蜡,氢化日本蜡,氢化微晶蜡,氢化稻糠蜡,水解蜂蜡,水解小烛树蜡,水解巴西棕榈蜡,香根鸢尾(irisflorentina)花蜡,jasminum gradiflorum(茉莉属(jasmine))花蜡,紫方花(jasminum officinale)(茉莉属)花蜡,茉莉花(jasminumsambac)(茉莉属)花蜡,西蒙得木酯类,羊毛脂蜡,熏衣草(lavandulaangustifolia)(薰衣草)花蜡,lowsonia Inermls蜡,微晶蜡,貂蜡,褐煤酸蜡,褐煤蜡,蜡杨梅(myrica cerifera)(蜡果杨梅及其果实)果蜡,小冠薰(ocimum tanuiflorum)油,水稻(oryza sativa)(稻米)糠蜡,小冠椰子蜡,氧化蜂蜡,氧化微晶蜡,ozakerite,棕榈仁蜡,石蜡,peg-6蜂蜡,peg-8蜂蜡,peg-12蜂蜡,peg-20蜂蜡,peg-12巴西棕榈,牛油果(persea gratissima)(鳄梨)蜡,pistacialentiscus叶蜡,晚香玉(polianthes tuberosa)花蜡,钾氧化的微晶蜡,pyrus malus(苹果)果皮蜡,野漆(rhus succedanea)果蜡,黑果醋栗(ribes nigrum)(black currnt)芽蜡,洋蔷薇(rosacentifolia)花蜡,蔷薇属(rosa)杂种花蜡,野蔷薇(rosa mutiflora)花蜡,salvia sclarea(鼠尾草植物)花/叶/茎蜡,虫胶蜡,细茎针茅(stipa tenacissima)蜡,硫化希蒙得木油,合成蜂蜡,合成小烛树蜡,合成巴西棕榈蜡,合成日本蜡,合成希蒙得木油,合成蜡和葡萄(vitis vinifera)(葡萄)叶蜡。
睫毛油组合物中优选具有一种或多种颜料,珠光剂和/或着色剂。有用的颜料和/或着色剂包括化妆品领域任何公知的。在颜料上进行涂敷和表面处理还可以增强由所述睫毛油组合物展示出的光泽或光彩。有用的颜料的实例包括二氧化钛,氧化锌,氧化铁,氧化铬,铁蓝和云母。有机颜料包括钡,锶,钙或铝色淀,群青和合格D&C#2。着色剂包括D&C Green #3,D&C Yellow #5和D&C Blue #1。可以用一种或多种配伍剂涂敷颜料和/或着色剂或对其进行表面处理,以便有助于在水或蜡相任一相或它们两相中的分散。当使用硅氧烷载体时,优选用聚二甲基硅氧烷共聚醇处理的颜料和/或着色剂表面。将珠光剂理解为意指彩虹色颗粒,特别是由其壳中的某些贝类产生的颗粒或合成珠光颗粒。珠光剂特别用于改变组合物的结构。
颜料在睫毛油组合物中的存在量可以占组合物总重的0.001wt%-约25wt%且优选约1-约15wt%。
睫毛油组合物中任选地具有众多的离散纤维。纤维给睫毛增加了体积和长度。纤维可以衍生自合成、天然或矿物物质。优选合成纤维,诸如尼龙和聚甲基丙烯酸甲酯。纤维一般具有约0.001mm-约10mm,更典型地约0.1mm-约5mm且最典型地约0.5mm-约2.5mm的长度。纤维在组合物中的存在量可以为约0.01-约20wt%,优选约0.1-10wt%且最优选约0.1-约5wt%。
睫毛油组合物可以进一步具有常用于化妆品领域中的任何组分,特别是用于生产睫毛油和睫毛产品的那些组分。这些不同组分的用量为常用于化妆品领域的那些用量以便达到其预期目的,并且范围一般为占组合物重量的约0.01wt%-约20wt%。这些组分的性质及其用量必须与用于本发明方法的稳定睫毛油组合物的生产相容。
睫毛油组合物还可以包括如下任选组分中的一种或多种:氨基酸,抗氧化剂,润肤剂,乳化剂,睫毛保护剂,睫毛渗透增强剂,填充剂,增湿剂,防腐剂,表面活性剂,增稠剂,维生素,蜡及其组合。
每当需要时可以将睫毛油组合物施用于睫毛,以便维持所需的卷曲。一般以向外扩展运动(一般在毛发延伸的方向上)将该组合物施用于天然毛发的上面。施用在至少部分睫毛上产生薄膜涂层。该组合物随后通过蒸发溶剂和任何其它挥发性物质而干燥。在正常过程中,当薄膜涂层磨掉时,必须定期再施用。尽管本身不受限制,但是卷曲一般将维持约4-约72小时。
在本发明的方法中,施用睫毛油组合物为睫毛提供了卷曲度,其相当于通过成膜剂收缩试验获得的55%或55%以上,优选约65%或65%以上,更优选约80%或80%以上且最优选约95%或95%以上。通过测量施用睫毛油组合物后在人造睫毛中观察到的卷曲度来确定卷曲度。使人造睫毛束与固定圆筒周边胶粘。使用睫毛刷将睫毛油组合物施用于睫毛十四遍。在至少10分钟的干燥时间后,从侧景拍摄图像,诸如摄影或数字图像。卷曲百分比(%)=[(R-L)/R]×100%。通过以锐聚焦测量从束根到睫毛尖的长度来确定长度测量值(L)。通过一点一点地测量从所述根到所述尖的同一根睫毛的长度来确定曲线长度测量值(R)。如果睫毛不能与所述束的剩余部分清楚地区分,那么跟踪束中心。
为了预先表征和预先定量预期成膜剂的目的,可以使用另一种称作成膜剂收缩试验的试验。不同于使用假睫毛的上述试验,成膜剂收缩试验使用织物样品。下面对成膜剂收缩试验进行详细描述。
下面是本发明的实施例。除非另作陈述,否则所有的百分比和份数均按照重量计。
实施例
实施例1和2和对比例1和2和对照#1
制备具有成膜剂和有机溶剂的无水组合物并且通过成膜剂收缩试验测试卷曲。
在本发明实施例1和2的组合物中,以占组合物总重30wt%使用环烷基丙烯酸烷基酯共聚物作为成膜剂。实施例1和2均使用异十二烷(IDD)作为溶剂。在对比例1和2的组合物中,将硅酸三甲基甲硅烷氧基酯用作成膜剂并且将环状聚二甲基硅氧烷五聚物(作为KF7312J购自Shin Etsu,聚合物与溶剂的50/50混合物)用作溶剂。在对照1的组合物中,将松脂酸甘油酯用作成膜剂并且将IDD用作溶剂。
在成膜剂收缩试验中,对卷曲度进行定量。试验组合物具有30wt%的聚合物(基于组合物总重),其中有机溶剂的用量足以溶解或分散它。将11.43cm×7.62cm尺寸的羊毛织物样品浸入试验组合物30秒,悬挂其短侧,并且在40%相对湿度和24℃温度的控制室内排列干燥过夜。处理后,将干燥的样品放置在平坦的表面上,并且将那个具有最小卷曲的长侧借助于重量保持在表面上。放置样品,使得具有较大卷曲的自由长侧向上伸出而远离平坦的表面。测量平卧与表面接触的样品的自由长侧的长度(压平长度)。无收缩可以具有11.43cm测得的压平长度。高度收缩可以具有接近0的测得的压平长度。如下计算收缩百分比:
[(样品长度-平均压平长度)/样品长度]×100=%收缩
或
[(11.43”-平均压平长度)/11.43”]×100=%收缩
在处理后,检验样品并且测量压平长度与曲线长度(样品长度)。对每种组合物而言进行10次试验。
结果如下表1-5中所示。
实施例1和2的无水组合物产生了明显大于对比例1和2和对照1组合物的平均曲线长度。当施用于睫毛时,较大的平均曲线长度与较大的卷曲度相关。

A相-在烧杯中称重。加热至180F。使用均化器混合。保持覆盖。
B相-加入到A相中。充分混合至均匀。
C相-将着色剂加入到A相中。充分混合至均匀。检查以便观察颜料是否分散。取下以便清扫刀片。分批冷却至120°F。
D相-在120°F下加入到A相中。混合至均匀。冷却至75°F。
实施例4.对比例2和对照2
制备具有成膜剂和有机溶剂的无水组合物并且测试卷曲。
在本发明实施例4的组合物中,以占组合物总重30wt%使用环烷基丙烯酸烷基酯共聚物作为成膜剂。实施例4使用异十二烷作为溶剂。在对比例3中,将Shin-Etsu KF 7312J用作成膜剂并且将环状聚二甲基硅氧烷五聚物用作溶剂。在对照2的组合物中,将松脂酸甘油酯用作成膜剂并且将异十二烷用作溶剂。
基本上按照与上述相同的方式进行试验。结果如表7,8和9中所列。
实施例3的无水组合物产生了大于对比例3和对照2的平均曲线长度和收缩百分比。当施用于睫毛时,较大的平均曲线长度和收缩百分比与较大的卷曲度相关。
应当理解上述描述仅是对本发明的解释。本领域技术人员可以在不脱离本发明范围的情况下设计各种备选和变型的技术方案。因此,本发明旨在包括所有这类备选的技术方案,变型的技术方案和变化形式,它们均属于所附权利要求的范围。
Claims (9)
1.使睫毛卷曲的方法,包括:
给睫毛施用无水液体组合物,该组合物具有:
可溶于或分散于溶剂中的环烷基丙烯酸烷基酯共聚物和
足以溶解或分散所述的环烷基丙烯酸烷基酯共聚物的用量的有机溶剂,
其中所述环烷基丙烯酸烷基酯共聚物的存在量占所述组合物总重的约0.1wt%-约90wt%。
2.权利要求1所述的方法,其中所述环烷基丙烯酸烷基酯共聚物的存在量占所述组合物总重的约0.5wt%-约40wt%。
3.权利要求1所述的方法,其中所述有机溶剂的存在量占所述组合物总重的约0.1wt%-约90wt%。
4.权利要求3所述的方法,其中所述的溶剂选自异十二烷,异十六烷及其组合。
5.权利要求1所述的方法,进一步包括颜料,着色剂或珠光剂。
6.权利要求1所述的方法,进一步包括松香酯。
7.权利要求6所述的方法,其中所述的松香酯的存在量占所述组合物总重的约0.1wt%-约20wt%。
8.权利要求6所述的方法,其中所述的松香酯为松脂酸甘油酯。
9.权利要求1所述的方法,进一步包括一种或多种蜡。
