Abstract

电路板安装型电连接器系统典型地包括一个安装在印刷电路板上的电连接器。该连接器可以与配套的匹配连接器相匹配。连接器典型地包括安装有多个导电端子的绝缘壳体。端子具有用于例如通过焊接连接至印刷电路板上合适的电路迹线的尾部。尾部可以是表面连接至电路迹线,或者插入到印刷电路板上的孔中,以用于焊接连接至电路板上的电路迹线和/或孔中。
最经常地,板安装型连接器可以与匹配连接器在匹配的方向相匹配,该匹配方向通常垂直于印刷电路板。在这种情况下,连接器端子的尾部被垂直地插入到电路板的孔中。在某些情况中,连接器,特别是连接器壳体被设置成用于沿与电路板成锐角的匹配方向与匹配连接器匹配。在这些情况下,端子的尾部被弯曲,以使得它们再次沿通常与电路板垂直的方向插入到电路板中的孔中。

发明内容
因此,本发明的目的在于提供一种新型的、改善的电连接器系统,其包括一个安装在印刷电路板上并且用于沿与电路板成锐角的匹配方向与匹配连接器匹配的连接器。
在本发明的示例性实施例中,连接器壳体安装有至少两组第一和第二端子。连接器壳体可沿通常垂直于电路板的安装方向安装到电路板上。第一端子具有在通常垂直于电路板的安装方向上延伸的尾部。第二端子具有沿与安装方向成锐角的方向延伸的尾部。印刷电路板具有用于接收第一端子尾部的孔和用于接收第二端子倾斜的尾部的细长的槽。槽足够长以容纳倾斜的尾部的远端,该远端沿与安装方向成锐角的方向延伸。
根据本发明的一个方面,连接器壳体具有匹配部,其在匹配方向上延伸用于沿与印刷电路板成锐角的方向与匹配连接器相匹配。匹配部可具有不同的部件,例如信号部件、功率部件和/或射频部件。

具体实施方式
更详细地参考附图,且首先参考附图1-5,本发明引入了电连接器系统,通常标示为10,其包括可安装在印刷电路板14上的通常标示为12的电连接器。连接器可沿匹配方向与匹配连接器(未示出)匹配,通过附图3中的双箭头“A”表示的该匹配方向与电路板14成锐角。换句话说,印刷电路板14为典型的平面电路板,并且匹配方向“A”与电路板的平面成锐角。连接器可沿垂直于电路板的箭头“B”的方向安装于电路板上。
连接器12包括通常标示为16的绝缘壳体,其可以用绝缘塑料材料或者类似的材料模制而成。壳体被延长并且在其相对两端包括两对安装柱18,从而用于插入到印刷电路板14上的一对安装孔20中。壳体也可以包括在其每个相对的端部上的紧固孔22,用于接收延伸穿过电路板上的紧固孔24的紧固件(未示出)。
连接器壳体16进一步包括组合匹配部,通常标示为26,其(最好参考附图3)以与电路板14成锐角的方向延伸,即沿匹配方向“A”。连接器12为“混合连接器”,因为该连接器在功能上作为信号或者数据连接器、功率连接器,也作为射频连接器。为此,匹配部26包括信号(或者数据)部件26a、功率部件26b和射频部件26c。如附图3中所示,匹配部26的所有部件沿与电路板14成锐角的方向延伸。
根据连接器12的混合特征,壳体16安装有多个信号端子,通常标示为28;多个功率端子,通常标识为30;和多个射频端子,通常标示为32。信号端子28具有尾部28a用于插入到电路板14的孔34中。功率端子30具有尾部30a用于插入到电路板的细长的槽36中。射频端子32具有尾部32a用于插入到电路板的细长的槽38中。信号端子28、功率端子30和射频端子32分别具有各自的接触部,该接触部延伸进入连接器壳体的匹配部26的各自部件26a、26b和26c中。
可以看到信号端子28的尾部28a相对细。另一方面,功率端子30的尾部30a更粗些。另外,功率端子的尾部30a更宽些并且通常在一般与连接器的匹配部26的功率部件26b的倾斜方向垂直的平面上是平坦的。类似地,虽然射频端子32的尾部32a可以不像功率端子30的尾部30a那样粗,射频端子的尾部32a也通常在与连接器的倾斜方向垂直的平面上是平坦的。因此,虽然信号端子28的较细的尾部28a可以容易地按选择的角度弯曲,功率端子30的尾部30a和射频端子32的尾部32a不得不使用昂贵的制造过程使其容易弯曲。
通过上述分别对信号端子28、功率端子30和射频端子32的尾部结构的理解,参考附图6A和6B以及附图1-5。附图6A和6B示出了被插入到电路板14的孔34中的四个信号端子的四个尾部28a。可以看到信号端子的尾部很容易被弯曲因此尾部垂直于电路板延伸。因此,信号端子的尾部沿箭头“C”的方向被插入到电路板的孔34中,该箭头“C”的方向垂直于电路板并且平行于连接器12安装到电路板14上的安装方向“B”(附图3)。
参考附图7A和7B以及附图1-5,示出了信号端子30的尾部30a沿箭头“D”的方向被插入到电路板14的细长的槽36中。再一次地,尾部沿通常垂直于电路板并且通常平行于连接器12安装到电路板14上的安装方向“B”(附图3)的方向“D”插入。然而,可以看到功率端子的尾部30a没有弯曲以能够垂直于电路板延伸。因此,细长的槽36足够的长以容纳倾斜的尾部的远端,该远端通常相对于电路板14以匹配部26的锐角的方向延伸,如上述附图3中标示的匹配方向“A”。
类似于附图7A和7B所示的功率端子30的倾斜的尾部30a和上面的描述,射频端子32的倾斜的尾部32a沿通常垂直于电路板的方向被插入到细长的槽38中,尽管事实上射频端子的尾部32a是与电路板成一定角度的。像槽36一样,细长的槽38具有足够的长度以容纳射频端子32的倾斜的尾部32a的远端。

Claims (6)

1.一种电连接器系统,包括安装在印刷电路板上并且用于沿与印刷电路板成锐角的匹配方向与匹配连接器相匹配的连接器,所述电连接器系统包括:
连接器壳体,所述连接器壳体安装有至少两组端子,所述两组端子中的一组为第一端子,另一组为第二端子,该连接器壳体可沿通常垂直于印刷电路板的安装方向安装在印刷电路板上;
各个第一端子具有沿所述安装方向延伸的尾部;
各个第二端子具有沿与所述安装方向成锐角的方向延伸的倾斜尾部;和
该印刷电路板具有用于接收各个第一端子的尾部的孔和用于接收各个第二端子的倾斜的尾部的细长的槽,该细长的槽足够的长以容纳倾斜的尾部的远端。
2.如权利要求1所述的电连接器系统,其中所述连接器壳体具有匹配部,其沿所述匹配方向延伸以用于沿与该印刷电路板成锐角的方向与匹配连接器匹配。
3.如权利要求1所述的电连接器系统,其中所述连接器壳体包括混合连接器的壳体,且各个所述第一端子为信号端子,各个所述第二端子为功率端子。
4.如权利要求1所述的电连接器系统,其中所述连接器壳体包括混合连接器的壳体,且各个所述第一端子为信号端子,各个所述第二端子为射频端子。
5.如权利要求4所述的电连接器系统,进一步包括一组第三端子,各个第三端子为功率端子并具有尾部,该尾部沿与所述安装方向成锐角的方向延伸并且可插入到该印刷电路板的细长的槽中。
6.如权利要求3所述的电连接器系统,其中混合连接器壳体的匹配部包括信号部件和功率部件。
