Abstract

Description
[001]本申请要求2005年1月27日提交的美国临时专利申请第60/646,981号的优选权。
[002]本文公开的是分散的矿物浆料,该浆料含被至少一种单价中和剂部分中和的至少一种阴离子聚合物分散体和至少一种无机分散体。也公开制备这样的分散矿物浆料的方法,和含这样的浆料的产品或由这样的浆料制备的产品。
[003]水性矿物浆料已经广泛用于纸用涂料、填料和油漆的制备,仅提及一些产品。这样的用途常常需要具有相对高的固体含量的水性矿物浆料,这可导致高粘度和因此在浆料的处理和加工中发生问题。为了改善粘性和为了便于处理和加工,例如在高固体含量时的研磨,通常将分散体加入浆料中。已知各种分散体。例如,可使用阴离子聚合物例如聚丙烯酸酯。然而,聚丙烯酸酯可能昂贵。另外,当前在国际市场上严重短缺聚丙烯酸酯。为了至少这些理由,迫切需要开发制备具有高固体含量的分散的矿物浆料,而使用减少量的聚丙烯酸酯的方法。

[023]粘度是矿物的流变阻力的量度。那些本领域的普通技术人员熟悉测量粘度的典型方法,包括例如Brookfield粘度。Brookfield粘度计提供矿物浆料的低剪切粘度的测量,以厘泊(cps)为单位表示。1厘泊等于1厘米-克-秒单位。(1厘泊为百分之一(10-2)泊)。因此,在所有其它条件都相同的情况下,100厘泊的样品的粘度低于500厘泊的样品。

实施例
实施例1

实施例2
[037]在该实施例中,在磨盘式研磨机(attritiongrinder)中将粒度中值(D50)约15μm的研磨的碳酸钙沙磨至一定的粒度分布(PSD),以便在下面表II中所示的分散体帮助下,约90%重量的颗粒的ESD小于2μm。然后将研磨的产物经200目过筛,并在水中浆化,如下面表II中所示调节固体含量。然后用#2转轴,在20rpm下,用Brookfield粘度计,在T0(0小时)、T1(1小时)和T24(24小时)测量浆料的粘度。

Claims (43)
1.一种浆料,所述浆料包含:
分散在水性介质中的至少一种微粒状无机材料;
固体含量为约0.1%至约3%重量的至少一种阴离子聚合物分散体,其中所述至少一种阴离子聚合物分散体被至少一种单价中和剂部分中和;和
相对于该浆料中的无机固体总重量,其量占约0.3%至约5%重量的至少一种无机分散体。
2.权利要求1的浆料,其中所述至少一种微粒状无机材料选自高岭土、碳酸钙和滑石。
3.权利要求2的浆料,其中所述碳酸钙选自重质碳酸钙和沉淀碳酸钙。
4.权利要求1的浆料,其中所述至少一种微粒状无机材料的固体含量为至少约30%重量。
5.权利要求4的浆料,其中所述至少一种微粒状无机材料的固体含量为约40%至约80%重量。
6.权利要求5的浆料,其中所述至少一种微粒状无机材料的固体含量为约68%至约78%重量。
7.权利要求1的浆料,其中所述至少一种阴离子聚合物分散体的固体含量为约0.1%至约1%重量。
8.权利要求7的浆料,其中所述至少一种阴离子聚合物分散体的固体含量为约0.1%至约0.5%重量。
9.权利要求8的浆料,其中所述至少一种阴离子聚合物分散体的固体含量为约0.1%至约0.4%重量。
10.权利要求9的浆料,其中所述至少一种阴离子聚合物分散体的固体含量为约0.1%至约0.25%重量。
11.权利要求1的浆料,其中所述至少一种阴离子聚合物分散体选自包含至少一种基团的聚合物分散体,所述至少一种基团选自羟基、酰氨基、羧基、磺基和膦酰基。
12.权利要求11的浆料,其中所述至少一种阴离子聚合物分散体选自丙烯酸聚合物;异丁烯酸聚合物;丙烯酸或异丁烯酸与丙烯酸烷基酯或异丁烯酸烷基酯的共聚物;聚丙烯酰胺;聚乙烯醇和低聚苯乙烯磺酸酯。
13.权利要求12的浆料,其中所述低聚苯乙烯磺酸酯选自木质素硫酸酯和萘磺酸酯。
14.权利要求12的浆料,其中所述至少一种阴离子聚合物分散体包含聚丙烯酸酯及其共聚物。
15.权利要求1的浆料,其中所述至少一种单价中和剂选自碱金属阳离子;氨;以及伯、仲和叔脂肪胺和环胺。
16.权利要求15的浆料,其中所述至少一种单价中和剂为钠阳离子。
17.权利要求1的浆料,其中所述至少一种阴离子聚合物分散体还被至少一种多价中和剂部分中和。
18.权利要求17的浆料,其中所述至少一种多价中和剂选自碱土金属阳离子、铝阳离子和锌阳离子。
19.权利要求18的浆料,其中所述碱土金属阳离子选自钙阳离子和镁阳离子。
20.权利要求1的浆料,其中所述至少一种阴离子聚合物分散体的分子量低于约20,000。
21.权利要求20的浆料,其中所述至少一种阴离子聚合物分散体的分子量为约1,000至约10,000。
22.权利要求21的浆料,其中所述至少一种阴离子聚合物分散体的分子量为约3,000至约9,000。
23.权利要求1的浆料,其中所述至少一种阴离子聚合物分散体被至少一种单价中和剂中和至约10%至约90%的程度。
24.权利要求23的浆料,其中所述至少一种阴离子聚合物分散体被至少一种单价中和剂中和至约20%至约70%的程度。
25.权利要求24的浆料,其中所述至少一种阴离子聚合物分散体被至少一种单价中和剂中和至约30%至约60%的程度。
26.权利要求17的浆料,其中所述至少一种阴离子聚合物分散体为约30%钠中和的和约70%钙中和的聚丙烯酸酯。
27.权利要求1的浆料,其中所述至少一种无机分散体选自硅酸盐和水溶性浓缩磷酸盐。
28.权利要求27的浆料,其中所述硅酸盐选自硅酸钠、硅酸锂和硅酸铵。
29.权利要求27的浆料,其中所述水溶性浓缩磷酸盐选自六偏磷酸钠、磷酸三钠、磷酸四钠、焦磷酸四钠、三聚磷酸钠和酸式焦磷酸钠。
30.权利要求1的浆料,其中相对于所述浆料中的无机固体总重量,所述至少一种无机分散体的量占约0.3%至约3%重量。
31.权利要求30的浆料,其中相对于所述浆料中的无机固体总重量,所述至少一种无机分散体的量占约0.5%至约1%重量。
32.权利要求31的浆料,其中相对于所述浆料中的无机固体总重量,所述至少一种无机分散体的量占约0.7%至约1%重量。
33.权利要求1的浆料,其中所述至少一种无机分散体为六偏磷酸钠,相对于所述浆料中的无机固体总重量,六偏磷酸钠的量占约0.3%至约3%重量。
34.权利要求33的浆料,其中所述至少一种无机分散体为六偏磷酸钠,相对于所述浆料中的无机固体总重量,六偏磷酸钠的量占约0.3%至约1%重量。
35.权利要求34的浆料,其中相对于所述浆料中的无机固体总重量,六偏磷酸钠的量占约0.5%至约1%重量。
36.权利要求1的浆料,所述浆料的pH大于约7。
37.权利要求36的浆料,所述浆料的pH为约8至约10。
38.一种制备浆料的方法,所述方法包括:
将至少一种微粒状无机材料和以下物质混合:
固体含量为约0.1%至约3%重量的至少一种阴离子聚合物分散体,其中所述至少一种阴离子聚合物分散体被至少一种单价中和剂部分中和;和
相对于所述浆料中的无机固体总重量,其量占约0.3%至约5%重量的至少一种无机分散体。
39.一种研磨微粒状无机材料的方法,所述方法包括:
将微粒状无机材料和以下物质混合:
水性介质,
固体含量为约0.1%至约3%重量的至少一种阴离子聚合物分散体,其中所述至少一种阴离子聚合物分散体被至少一种单价中和剂部分中和,和
相对于所述浆料中的无机固体总重量,其量占约0.3%至约5%重量的至少一种无机分散体;和
研磨该水性浆料。
40.一种浆料,所述浆料包含:
分散在水性介质中的至少一种微粒状无机材料;
固体含量为约0.1%至约3%重量的至少一种阴离子聚合物分散体,其中所述至少一种阴离子聚合物分散体被至少一种单价中和剂部分中和;和
相对于所述浆料中的无机固体总重量,其量占约0.3%至约5%重量的至少一种浓缩磷酸盐分散体。
41.一种纸用涂料,所述纸用涂料包含:
分散在水性介质中的至少一种微粒状无机材料;
固体含量为约0.1%至约3%重量的至少一种阴离子聚合物分散体,其中所述至少一种阴离子聚合物分散体被至少一种单价中和剂部分中和;和
相对于所述浆料中的无机固体总重量,其量占约0.3%至约5%重量的至少一种无机分散体。
42.一种聚合物产品,所述产品包含:
至少一种聚合物树脂;
分散在水性介质中的至少一种微粒状无机材料;
固体含量为约0.1%至约3%重量的至少一种阴离子聚合物分散体,其中所述至少一种阴离子聚合物分散体被至少一种单价中和剂部分中和;和
相对于所述浆料中的无机固体总重量,其量占约0.3%至约5%重量的至少一种无机分散体。
43.一种油漆,所述油漆包含:
分散在水性介质中的至少一种微粒状无机材料;
固体含量为约0.1%至约3%重量的至少一种阴离子聚合物分散体,其中所述至少一种阴离子聚合物分散体被至少一种单价中和剂部分中和;和
相对于所述浆料中的无机固体总重量,其量占约03%至约5%重量的至少一种无机分散体。
