Description

Method and system for sensing state of user for non-IMS service and notifying
Technical Field
The present invention relates to the field of CDMA (Code Division Multiple Access) technology, and in particular, to a technology for sensing and notifying a service status of a user in a CDMA network.
Background
CDMA technology is evolving from a 2G network to a 3G network, and during the evolution, the coexistence of the 2G network and the 3G network will last for a long time, such as the current CDMA2000 network architecture shown in fig. 1, in which:
according to different access technologies, the network can be divided into a CDMA 20001X network and a CDMA2000 HRPD (High Rate Packet Data service) network, wherein the 1X network is divided into a CS (Circuit Switch) domain and a PS (Packet Switch) domain, and the HRPD network finally accesses an IMS (IP multimedia subsystem) domain.
Under the above architecture, a user may perform services such as a traditional Voice call, a short message, and the like through a CS domain of a 1X network, perform services such as web browsing, and the like through a PS domain of the 1X network, and access an IMS domain through an HRPD network to perform services such as a video call, a VoIP (Voice over IP) and the like.
In the above network architecture, for a hybrid terminal capable of accessing to both 1X network and HRPD network, there needs to be a mechanism that enables a user to notify a service occurring in the HRPD network to the user in the 1X network when the user performs the service in the 1X network, and similarly, when the user performs the service in the HRPD network, the user also needs to be able to notify the service occurring in the 1X network to the user.
In order to meet the above notification requirement, a "subscription" mechanism and a "notification (Notify)" mechanism are defined in SIP (session initiation protocol) signaling, a User Agent (UA) of the SIP signaling may send a Subscribe message to another UA to Subscribe to various state events of the latter, such as registration, de-registration, communication capability, etc., and a UA receiving the Subscribe may Notify by sending a Notify message to a previous UA after an event required by the subscription occurs.
The IMS network uses SIP signaling as session control signaling, and thus has the above-mentioned capability of subscribing to the notification service. Based on the above subscription notification mechanism, the IMS network adds a unified management architecture for subscription notification, provides a new Presence service, and adds a Presence Server entity in the IMS network, where the Presence Server entity is responsible for receiving subscription applications from various network entities to users and subscribing to the users instead; and various state information of the user is also uniformly collected from the terminal and the network entity and reported to the subscribed network entity.
Specifically, some Network elements in the IMS and PLMN (Public Land Mobile Network) networks, such as HSS/HLR (home subscriber Server/home location register), CSCF (call session control function), MSC (Mobile switching center), AAA (authentication authorization Accounting (center)), PS, etc., have interfaces with the Presence Server, and interact with the Presence Server through the Presence Network Agent, so that the Presence Server can obtain various status events of the User from these Network elements, and the User can also report the status to the Presence Server through the Presence User Agent.
In the prior art, there is also a mechanism for performing anchor control based on an IMS entity, which detects registration and session states of a user in two networks, and performs routing control of the user according to the registration and session states of the user, and the architecture of the mechanism is shown in fig. 2:
as can be seen from fig. 2, the architecture adds a Network element called NeDS (Network Domain Selection entity) between the IMS Domain and the CS Domain, which is specifically described as follows:
the entity is a standard ISC (IMS Service Control) interface between an IMS domain and an I/S-CSCF (query/Service-call session Control function entity), and a standard Sh interface between the IMS domain and an HSS, and the function of the entity is equivalent to an AS (application server);
the entity and the entity HLR of CS domain are standard MAP (Mobile Application Part) interface, and the HLR is a GMSC (Gateway MSC Gateway Mobile switching center);
an intelligent MAP signaling interface may exist between the CS domain entity MSC and the MSC, and is seen as an SCP (Service Control Point) to the MSC.
The entity is mainly used for recording the registration state of the user in the IMS domain and the call state of the user in two networks, and carrying out routing decision according to the recorded registration state and call state of the user in the called process.
The technical scheme partially solves the problem that the hybrid terminal acquires the service generated in one network when the service is generated in the other network, and when a user performs IMS service such as VoIP and Video Telephony (VT) in an HRPD network, the hybrid terminal can inform a NeDS entity through SIP signaling; when the user performs a conventional service such as a voice call in the CS domain of the 1X network, it can be notified to NeDS through MAP signaling.
However, the above architecture has the following disadvantages:
because the above-mentioned architecture is based on SIP signaling, NeDS cannot know the service status of the user when the user performs non-IMS packet service (e.g., web browsing service) in the PS domain of the 1X network. If there is a video call from HRPD network to be connected to user, since NeDS doesn't know that user is doing business in 1X network, it will indicate that the call is sent from HRPD network, and as a result, it will not be able to page user.
Similarly, when the user performs non-SIP signaling controlled services such as web browsing in HRPD network, NeDS cannot know the service state of the user, and at this time, if a voice call needs to be connected to the user from CS domain, NeDS can only indicate that the call is issued from 1X network, and as a result, the call cannot be paged to the user.

Detailed Description
The basic principle of the invention is that an informed network entity reports an event to NeDS through a certain mechanism after detecting the establishment and termination events of the non-IMS packet service of a user, and the NeDS carries out subsequent processing after acquiring the packet service state of the user.
The following is a detailed description:
to acquire the packet service state of the user, the NeDS needs to have a network entity to sense the establishment and termination events of the non-IMS packet service of the user, and then notify the NeDS through a certain mechanism, so that the NeDS can acquire the establishment and termination events of the non-IMS packet service of the user.
In the existing technical solution, the user terminal, the PS domain PDSN and AAA, and the MSC of the CS domain of the 1X network can all sense the setup and teardown events of the non-IMS packet service of the user.
However, as described above, in the prior art, there is no interface between the user equipment, PDSN (Packet data serving Node), AAA and NeDS, and there is no corresponding triggering rule in the intelligent network to trigger the Packet service although there is an intelligent network interface between MSC and NeDS.
Therefore, an interface is required between the terminal and the NeDS to enable the terminal to report the setup and termination events of the non-IMS packet service of its own user to the NeDS. Specifically, the following two methods can be adopted: one is that the terminal establishes contact with NeDS directly, and informs NeDS through circuit domain short message or other signaling; the other is to use the existing Presence mechanism, the NeDS subscribes the establishment and termination events of the non-IMS packet service to the terminal through the Presence Server, so that the terminal will notify the Presence Server after the establishment and termination events of the non-IMS packet service occur, and the NeDS can actively or passively acquire the events from the Presence Server.
Secondly, the packet domain entity PDSN or AAA also needs to report the setup and termination events of the non-IMS packet service to the NeDS, and in the existing Presence technical solution, there is an interface between the PDSN and AAA and the Presence Server, so the NeDS only needs to subscribe the setup and termination events of the non-IMS packet service of the user to the packet domain entities through the Presence Server, and then the PDSN or AAA notifies the Presence Server after the user sets up and terminates the packet connection, and the NeDS can also obtain the events through the Presence Server. If the AAA supports the Diameter protocol or the NeDS supports the RADIUS protocol, the AAA may also notify the NeDS directly via the RADIUS or Diameter protocol.
In addition, in the existing technical scheme, an intelligent network interface already exists between the MSC and the NeDS, but an intelligent network mechanism is only triggered by lacking the establishment and the removal events of the non-IMS packet service, so that a detection and triggering mechanism for the establishment and the removal events of the non-IMS packet service can be added to the intelligent network triggering rules, and once a user establishes or terminates a packet connection, the MSC triggers the rules and reports the rules to the NeDS. In addition, an interface specially used for transmitting the events can be newly added between the MSC and the NeDS, and the interface can communicate by using signaling such as short messages.
The following further description is made in conjunction with the accompanying drawings and specific embodiments.
The first embodiment is as follows: NeDS utilizes a subscription and notification mechanism to obtain the establishment and termination events of non-IMS packet services of a user
The NeDS SUBSCRIBEs to the establishment and termination events of the non-IMS packet service to the user, may directly send SUBSCRIBE message subscription to the terminal, or may SUBSCRIBE through the Presence Server, and the flow is shown in fig. 3:
1. the NeDS sends SIP SUBSCRIBER message to the terminal or the terminal through the Presence Server, and the message body indicates the event that the user needs to be subscribed to establish/terminate the non-IMS packet service connection;
2. the terminal returns 202 Accepted information to NeDS through Presence Server or directly, which represents to accept subscription;
when the user establishes the packet service connection, then:
1. the terminal sends a Notify message of the SIP to the NeDS through the Presence Server or directly, and the message body indicates that the user starts to perform the packet service;
2. the NeDS records the terminal state information and returns a200 OK message to the terminal through the Presence Server or directly to indicate that a notice is received;
when the user terminates the packet service connection, then:
1. the terminal sends a Notify message of the SIP to the NeDS through a Presence Server or directly, and the message body indicates that the user terminates the packet service;
2. the NeDS records the terminal state information and returns a200 OK message to the terminal through the Presence Server or directly to indicate that a notice is received;
other network entities that know the packet service status of the user, such as PDSN or AAA, may also notify NeDS through the Presence mechanism. That is, these network entities report the packet service state change information of the user through the interface with the Presence Server, and the Presence Server notifies NeDS.
Example two: the user terminal may also issue the non-IMS packet service status of the user to the Presence Server through a PUBLISH message, and then the Presence Server sends a Notify message to the NeDS to Notify the NeDS of the non-IMS packet service status of the user, where the specific flow is shown in fig. 4:
first, the NeDS user sets up/terminates events for non-IMS packet service connections:
1. the NeDS subscribes an event of establishing/terminating non-IMS packet service connection to the Presence Server by a user;
2. the Presence Server accepts the subscription;
when a user starts to perform a packet service:
1. the terminal issues (PUBLISH message) packet service establishment event to the Presence Server, the address of the Presence Server is pre-configured in the terminal;
2. the Presence Server returns an issuing acceptance response to the terminal;
3. the Presence Server informs NeDS of the state event of establishing the packet service for the user according to the subscription of the NeDS;
4. the NeDS returns notification acceptance;
when the user ends the packet service:
1. the terminal issues a packet service termination event to the Presence Server;
2. the Presence Server returns an issuing acceptance response to the terminal;
3. the Presence Server informs NeDS of the state event of the user for terminating the packet service according to the subscription of the NeDS;
4. the NeDS returns a notification acceptance.
Example three: the terminal directly reports the event of establishing/terminating non-IMS packet service connection to NeDS
When detecting that the user starts and terminates the non-IMS packet service, the terminal directly informs NeDS through a short message and other signaling. The specific flow is shown in fig. 5:
when a user starts to perform a packet service:
1. the terminal sends a short message request to the MSC based on the judgment of the subscription attribute and the service type of the user, the content of the short message is an event indicating that the user establishes a packet service connection, and a short message sending address is pre-configured in the terminal or an SIM card (Subscriber identity Module) or is issued by the network through an air interface;
2. after receiving the short message request, MSC takes NeDS as a short message center, and sends MAP short message point-to-point request to NeDS, the message body contains the information of the user establishing packet service connection;
3. the NeDS records the user state information after receiving the short message and returns a response message to the MSC;
4. MSC returns response message to terminal;
after the user terminates the packet service:
1. the terminal sends a short message request to the MSC, wherein the content of the short message is an event indicating that the user terminates the packet service connection;
2. after receiving the short message request, MSC takes NeDS as a short message center, and sends a short message point-to-point request to NeDS, wherein the message body contains the information of the user terminating the packet service connection;
3. the NeDS records the user state information after receiving the notification and returns a response message to the MSC;
4. the MSC returns a response message to the terminal.
Example four: AAA reports non-IMS packet service connection event established/terminated by user to NeDS
The specific flow is shown in fig. 6:
after the packet service connection between the PDSN and the terminal is established:
1. the PDSN sends accounting start information to the AAA, wherein the information comprises a user identifier, a service type and a session start mark;
2. after receiving the accounting start message, the AAA reports a state notification message to the NeDS, wherein the state notification message can adopt an RADIUS protocol or a Diameter protocol;
3. after receiving the state notification message, the NeDS records the user state information and then returns a notification response message to the AAA;
4. the AAA returns an accounting start response message to the PDSN.
After the packet service connection between the PDSN and the terminal is terminated:
1. the PDSN sends accounting termination information to the AAA;
2. after receiving the accounting termination message, AAA reports a state notification message to NeDS, and the adopted protocol is consistent with the notification message when the packet service is established;
3. after receiving the state notification message, the NeDS records the user state information and then returns a notification response message to the AAA;
4. the AAA returns an accounting-terminated response message to the PDSN.
In addition, the PDSN may directly transmit an accounting start/stop message to the NeDS, in addition to transmitting the accounting start/stop message to the NeDS through the AAA to inform the NeDS user of an event of establishing/stopping the sub-IMS packet service connection.
Example five: MSC informs NeDS through intelligent trigger flow when sensing user grouping service state change
The MSC first needs to download the intelligent subscription trigger of the subscriber from the HLR during the registration of the subscriber, and the specific flow is shown in fig. 7:
1. the terminal is accessed to the network, the base station system BS sends the location updating request message to MSC/VLR;
