Abstract

本发明涉及超声流量传感器,更具体地涉及具有超声流量传感器的手术系统和盒。
背景技术
常规眼科手术仪器系统使用真空来抽吸手术部位并使用正压来冲洗该部位。通常,盒串联在用于产生压力的装置和手术仪器之间。使用盒与手术仪器一起来帮助操纵手术部位处的冲洗流和抽吸流是公知的。美国专利Nos.4493695、4627833(Cook)、4395258(王等)、4713051(Steppe等)、4798850(DeMeo等)、4758238、4790816(Sundblom等)以及5267956、5364342(Beuchat)和5747824(Jung等)都公开了带有或不带有管的眼科手术盒,它们通过引用整体包括在此。抽吸流体流量、泵速、真空度、冲洗流体压力以及冲洗流体流量是在手术过程中需要精确控制的一些参数。
现有技术的装置在抽吸和冲洗管路中使用压力传感器并基于感测的压力计算流体流量。过去,手术盒中流体压力的测量非常精确,并且由于流体路径中的阻力已知,可以根据流体压力可靠地计算流体流量。但是,最近在超声流量传感器的可靠性方面的进展使得可以精确地以非侵入式方式测量流体流量。
例如,美国专利No.6098466(Shkarlet)所公开的超声流量传感器公开了一种能够精确测量脉管或管中的流体流量的流量传感器,其通过采用多个有角度的反射器表面降低了对流量分布不均匀的敏感性并降低了总体尺寸,其中反射器表面使得来自一个或多个超声换能器的入射超声波在没有改变超声波的沿面取向的情况下多次且沿多个方向经过流体容积。多次反射以及流体容积的多方向照射产生的波的路径减小了探针的尺寸以及对空间分布不均匀的敏感性。多个有角度的反射器表面还还允许发射换能器以及接收换能器彼此靠近地布置,从而减小总体探针的尺寸并使它们特别适用于合并到用在眼科手术中的较小的流体流量盒中。为了超声流量传感器的运行,换能器必须与流体在其中流动的管系在声学上耦合,使得位于换能器和管系之间的任何空气都被去除。现有技术的流量传感器通常使用声学凝胶(例如高含水量的水凝胶材料)来实现声学耦合。当声学耦合部需要连同安装在手术控制台内的手术盒一起使用时,要注意杀菌以及清洁,使得相比形成盒或者控制台的一部分并且不需要凝胶的声学耦合部来说对声学凝胶的期望更少。
美国专利No.6901812(Moscaritolo等)所述的一种现有技术的装置使用作为声学反射器被测量的流动通道的内壁。但是,该装置需要内壁非常精确的机加工,以便起作用。这种精确的机加工非常困难并且很昂贵,特别是对于用在手术盒中的较小和较复杂的通道而言。
因此,仍然需要一种可以用在手术盒或与之一起使用的简单、可靠和精确的声学反射器。
发明内容
本发明通过提供一种手术盒对现有技术进行改进,该手术盒具有形成为刚性塑性部件或外壳的刚性流体通道。超声流量计的压电晶体定位在流体通道的一侧上。与压电晶体相对的流体通道的侧壁在其内侧暴露于流体通道中的流体并在其外侧暴露于环境空气。壁和空气之间的界面起到声学反射器的作用,用于超声流量计的操作。
因此,本发明的目的是提供一种具有声学反射器的手术盒。
本发明的另一目的是提供一种具有形成为盒的一部分的声学反射器的手术盒。
本发明的又一目的是提供中具有声学空气反射器的手术盒。

具体实施方式
最好如图1-3所示,本发明的盒10大体包括阀片12、主体14和盖16。阀片12、主体14和盖16都可以由适当的较刚性的热塑性材料制成。阀片12包含多个开口18以及泵送通道20,其通过弹性体22和24不透流体地密封,从而形成多个流体路径。端口26提供盒10与用于盒10的各种冲洗和抽吸功能的手术控制台100之间的连接器,这些功能可能需要使用过滤器28。侧壁35形成流体通道34的一部分,并形成为主体14的一部分。当阀片12按照图3所示的方式组装到主体14上时,侧壁35的部分37与凹部36中的透射窗(transmissionwindow)125对准。弹性体声学耦合器38定位在凹部36内、阀片12上。当盒10安装在控制台100的盒容纳部110中时,超声换能器120压靠弹性体声学耦合器38,从而在换能器120和流体通道34之间提供声学耦合,因而允许使用超声换能器120通过将超声波投射到流体通道34并接收由壁部37的表面(exterior)39形成的壁/空气界面41所反射的超声波来测量流体通道34中的流体流量。弹性体声学耦合器38优选地通过在阀片12的凹部36内包覆成型弹性体材料例如热塑性弹性体或硅树脂橡胶形成。这种构造方法消除了对于将弹性体声学耦合器38连接至阀片12的粘合剂的需要并确保从弹性体声学耦合器38和阀片12之间去除任何空气。使用由壁部37的部分表面39形成的外部壁/空气界面41消除了对于分离的声学反射器的需要以及相应的耦合材料的需要,从而提高了流量传感器的可靠性并降低了盒10的复杂性和成本。
本说明书用于解释和阐述的目的。对于本领域普通技术人员来说明显的是,在不背离这里所述的本发明的范围或精神的情况下,可以对其进行变型。
Claims (6)
1.一种手术盒,包括:
a)阀片,其具有透射窗;
b)主体,其连接至阀片,所述主体限定一超声反射表面,当主体连接至阀片时该超声反射表面与透射窗对准;以及
c)限定在阀片和主体之间的流体通道,透射窗与流体通道和所述反射表面对准;
其中所述超声反射表面是声学空气反射器,其由主体的刚性壁部分的表面形成的壁/空气界面限定。
2.根据权利要求1的手术盒,还包括在与阀片相对的一侧连接至主体的盖。
3.根据权利要求1的手术盒,还包括连接至阀片的多个弹性体,所述弹性体形成多个流体路径。
4.根据权利要求1的手术盒,还包括连接至阀片的弹性体声学耦合器,所述弹性体声学耦合器定位在阀片上以便与主体上的壁/空气界面对准。
5.一种手术系统,包括:
a)手术控制台,该手术控制台具有盒容纳部;
b)超声换能器,其定位在手术控制台的盒容纳部中,该超声换能器适于测量流体通道中的流体流量;
c)手术盒,其具有多个流体通道;以及
d)声学空气反射器,其形成盒的一部分,该声学空气反射器由手术盒的主体的刚性壁部分的表面形成的壁/空气界面限定,当盒安装在手术控制台的盒容纳部内时,该声学空气反射器与超声换能器对准,以便允许超声换能器测量盒中的多个流体通道中的至少一个内的流体流量。
6.根据权利要求5的系统,还包括连接至盒的弹性体声学耦合器,该弹性体声学耦合器定位在盒上,以便与超声换能器对准并与之接触。
