Abstract

通常,显示设备通过处理来自预定信号源的图像信号来提供有效的图像,以便用户可以查看。因此,显示设备包括用于处理输入图像信号的信号处理单元、用于将从信号处理单元提供的图像信号转换为可以在显示单元上显示的格式的转换单元(例如扫描仪)、用于根据转换的图像信号来显示有效图像的显示单元以及用于控制其操作的控制单元。
在捕获显示在通用显示设备上的有效图像中,作为一种用于提供图像信号的信号源,通过使用设置在计算机中的捕获应用程序来捕获希望的区域。同时,可以将画中画(PIP)或画边画(PBP)格式的图像重叠地显示在显示设备的显示单元上。为了调整画面质量或显示设备的设置,可以独立于来自预定信号源的图像信号,由显示设备在显示单元上显示屏幕上显示(OSD)图像。
在根据来自信号源的图像信号将图像数据作为有效图像显示在显示单元上的条件下激活并重叠地显示显示设备的OSD图像或PIP格式的图像时,尽管由设置在计算机中的捕捉应用程序捕获到显示单元上的图像,不能捕捉到OSD图像或PIP格式的图像。换句话说,因为显示设备被构造为只可以捕获根据从信号源(例如计算机)输入的图像信号的图像,实际上不能够捕捉输出并显示在显示设备的显示单元上的有效图像。
此外,传统的显示设备被构造为:当捕获显示在显示单元上的有效图像时,整体捕获并存储显示在屏幕上的帧图像的整个区域。因此,也捕获了图像的不必要区域。因此,显示设备需要较大容量的内部存储器来存储捕获的图像,从而降低了存储器的使用效率。此外,需要单独操作来去除捕获区域的不必要的部分,因此导致使用捕获区域的不便。
发明内容
因此,本发明的一个方案目的是提供一种显示设备,在用户实际查看时,能够捕获显示在显示单元上的有效图像并且还能够捕获有效图像中具有用户所希望形状的部分区域,还提供一种其控制方法。
在下面的说明将将阐明本发明的其它目的和/或优点,并且从说明中是显而易见的,或者从本发明的实践中可以了解到这些目的和优点。
通过提供一种具有显示单元的显示设备可以实现本发明的上述和/或其它目的,这种显示单元用于根据从预定信号源提供的图像信号来在其上显示有效图像,该显示设备包括:捕获设置单元,用于在显示在显示单元上的有效图像中设置要捕获的预定捕获区域;捕获块单元,用于在被激活为有效图像的图像数据中,捕获设置捕获区域内的图像数据;以及控制单元,用于控制捕获块单元来捕获与设置捕获区域相对应的有效图像的图像数据,其中,显示的有效图像包括根据从不同信号源提供的、不同图像信号的图像数据。
根据本发明的方案,显示设备还包括捕获存储器,用于在其中存储由捕获块单元捕获的捕获区域的图像数据。
根据本发明的方案,有效图像包括由显示单元上的预定OSD图像数据所显示的OSD图像。
根据本发明的方案,根据显示在显示单元上的OSD图像,捕获设置单元可以被实现为界面屏幕。
根据本发明的方案,捕获设置单元可以被实现为预定的应用程序。
根据本发明的方案,捕获设置单元可以被实现为通用的输入装置。

具体实施方式
现在来详细参考本发明的典型实施例,在附图中示出了本发明的示例。
图1是示出了根据本发明实施例的显示设备的示意配置的方框图。如图所示,根据本发明实施例的显示设备包括信号处理单元10、缩放器(scaler)20、捕获块单元22、存储单元30、显示单元40、控制单元50以及捕获设置单元60。
信号处理单元10将从预定信号源接收到的图像信号转换到可由转换器20处理的图像信号。信号处理单元10包括转换最小化传输差分信号(TMDS)接收机12、A/D转换器14、调谐器16、视频解码器18等,以便处理来自不同信号源的图像信号。来自不同信号源的图像信号可能包括来自计算机的信号、RF广播信号、来自DVD设备或机顶盒的视频信号等,可以按照PIP或PBP格式将其显示在显示单元40上。
TMDS接收机12将通过数字连接终端从外部接收到的例如数字视频界面(DVI)信号的数字视频信号划分为RGB数字和H/V同步信号并将其输出到缩放器20。A/D转换器14将通过D-sub连接器等接收到的、例如PC信号的模拟视频信号转换为数字视频信号并将其输出到缩放器20。视频解码器18对从模拟连接终端接收到的分量信号、或者包括合成视频广播信号(CVBS)或S-视频信号的模拟视频信号进行解码并将其输出到转换器20。调谐器16接收从天线(未示出)接收到的RF信号等,例如广播信号,并将其输出到视频解码器18。
缩放器20将从信号处理单元10提供的图像信号处理为可以在显示单元上显示的格式并输出。在此,可以配置缩放器20以便其可以根据控制单元50的控制,在显示单元40上显示与从信号处理单元提供的预定图像信号相对应的图像,或者在显示单元上显示例如PIP或PBP格式图像的合成图像。因此,可以在缩放器40中设置处理PIP或PBP格式图像的处理装置,或还可以将其设置为独立于缩放器40的独立装置。当缩放器20中包括捕获块单元22时,根据控制单元50的控制,在从信号处理单元10提供的图像信号的图像数据中可以捕获与预定捕获区域相对应的图像数据并存储在存储单元30中。
构成捕获块单元22,以便可以在作为有效图像显示在显示单元40上的图像数据中,捕获建立的预定捕获区域中的图像数据。可以由捕获设置单元60建立显示在显示单元40上的有效图像中的、要捕获的预定捕获区域。同时,控制单元50可以控制捕获块单元22,以便可以由捕获块单元22捕获与设置捕获区域相对应的有效图像的图像数据。
在图1所示的典型实施例中,捕获块单元22被包括在缩放器40中,但是捕获块单元22也可以与缩放器40分离。将捕获块单元22设为与缩放器40分离的装置,以便可以由控制单元50更方便地进行控制。
与由捕获块单元22捕获的预定捕获区域相对应的图像数据被存储在存储单元30中。可以构成存储单元30以便在其中包括只存储与捕获区域相对应的图像数据的捕获存储器32。此外,存储单元30还可以包括存储被显示为有效图像的帧图像数据的帧存储器34。
显示单元40接收由转换器20转换为适当格式的图像信号并且作为有效图像显示该信号以便使用户能够查看。显示单元40可以包括在其上显示图像的显示板、用于处理接收自转换器20的图像信号并且在显示面板上显示图像的板驱动单元。同时,可以采用例如液晶显示器(LCD)、等离子显示面板(PDP)、有机光发射二极管(OLED)等的各种板作为显示板,并且可以设置与每一种板相对应的板驱动单元。
根据本发明典型实施例的显示设备还包括用户输入单元(未示出),用于根据用户的操作将预定按键信号输入到控制单元50。
用户输入单元可以包括设置在显示设备前面的控制按钮以及用于产生与控制按钮的按键操作相对应的按键信号的按键信号产生单元。用户输入单元可以是独立设置的通用输入单元,例如鼠标、键盘、手写笔或无线遥控器或触摸屏。当用户操作控制按钮时,按键信号产生单元产生与按键操作相对应的按键信号并将其提供给控制单元50。控制单元50可以与从按键信号产生单元输入的按键信号相对应地控制转换器20和捕获块单元22、信号处理单元10等。
此外,通过采用上述各种用户输入单元作为捕获设置单元60,可以组成显示设备以便用户可以从显示在显示单元上的有效图像中建立预定捕获区域。换句话说,当根据用户的操作选定了与有效图像相关的捕获功能时,可以通过控制鼠标指针或设置在键盘上的预定按键等来建立希望的捕获区域。
捕获设置单元60可以提供界面屏幕61和62(参看图2)以在显示在显示单元的屏幕上的有效图像的活动区域41中建立预定捕获区域43。可以通过使用与显示在显示单元40上的有效图像相关的界面屏幕61和62来建立用户所希望的捕获区域43。在这种情况中,通过使用界面屏幕61和62而使捕获设置单元60可用。此外,界面屏幕61和62可以实现为根据与OSD产生单元(未示出)所提供的OSD图像数据的OSD图像。通过使用设置在显示设备的预定区域上的OSD按钮,显示OSD图像,该图像除了建立画面质量和其它设置的菜单之外,还包括建立捕获区域的菜单。
在图2A中所示的建立捕获区域的界面屏幕61允许用户直接输入希望捕获区域的坐标值。为了捕获用划分块划分的区域(例如块1),指定相对于有效图像的x轴和y轴的开始坐标(例如x1和y1)以及结束坐标(例如x2和y2)。因此,根据指定开始坐标和结束坐标而划分的块区域被设置为捕获区域。如图3A和3B所示,由预定捕获设置线(例如虚线)来表示在有效图像的活动区域41中根据设置坐标值的捕获区域43。在这种情况中,当鼠标用作为上述通用输入装置时,可以通过点击鼠标指针以及从开始坐标到结束坐标的拖拽来设置捕获区域。为了如图3B所示设置包括多个划分块的捕获区域43,可以通过指定相对于块2的分离的开始坐标(X1和Y1)和结束坐标(X2和Y2)以及块1来建立捕获区域。
没有直接输入与捕获区域43相关的坐标值时,可以通过将预定捕获设置值移动到希望的位置或通过操作显示在界面屏幕62上的四-方向按键调整根据捕获设置线的区域尺寸来建立预定捕获区域43。在这种情况中,当键盘用作为通用输入装置并且作为捕获设置单元60时,可以操作设置在键盘中的方向按键作为与界面屏幕62相对应的移动按键。
在设置作为显示单元中的有效图像的图像信号的输入分辨率和建立用于在显示单元上显示图像信号的显示分辨率彼此不同时,可以构成控制单元50以便捕获块单元22可以捕获与捕获区域相对应的图像数据,捕获区域是通过将根据输入分辨率的捕获区域的坐标值转换到根据显示单元40的显示分辨率的坐标值而建立的。
例如,假设在图4A中在具有640x480的输入分辨率的有效图像的活动区域42中建立捕获区域46。此时,当如图4B所示提供具有1280x1024显示分辨率的有效图像的活动区域41,显示设备的显示单元40将图4A中捕获区域46的坐标值转换到相应的图4B中捕获区域的坐标值。换句话说,如果捕获区域46的坐标(x1、y1)、(x2、y2)被转换为捕获区域45的坐标(X1、Y1)、(X2、Y2),可以根据例如640:x1=1280:X1,X1=(1280*x1)/640的公式来获得各个开始和结束坐标的转换值。
如上所述,可以通过使用按照上述各种方法构成的捕获设置单元60,在显示在显示单元上的有效图像中激活的活动区域41的图像数据中,指定用户所希望的根据预定划分块的捕获区域43。此外,可以指定具有任意形状的捕获区域。此外,可以通过捕获与PIP格式或PBP格式图像相对应的窗口或只是与显示在显示单元40上的OSD图像相对应的窗口,来建立捕获区域。
此外,可以通过控制单元50的控制,将界面屏幕61和62相对应的图像信号与从转换器20所提供的其它图像信号相混合地在显示单元40上显示,界面屏幕61和62提供作为OSD图像以便利用捕获设置单元22建立用户所希望的区域。OSD产生单元可以包括在转换器20中或者可以与转换器20分离以便作为捕获设置单元60来显示用户所使用的界面屏幕61和62。
当通过用户输入单元的操作选定了捕获设置功能时,控制单元50控制转换器20,以便显示整个有效图像作为接收到的图像信号的活动区域。控制单元50还显示捕获设置单元60的界面屏幕61和62,以便在显示单元40上作为活动区域而显示的整个有效图像上建立捕获区域。
控制单元50将关于捕获设置单元60所建立的捕获区域的信息提供给捕获块单元22。因此,捕获块单元22确定作为有效图像所提供的图像数据是否与包括在设置捕获区域内的图像数据相对应。控制单元50控制捕获,以便捕获与由捕获块单元22建立的捕获区域相对应的图像数据并且将其存储在捕获存储器32中。
在根据本发明典型实施例的显示设备中,存储在显示在显示单元40中并由用户实际查看的有效图像中建立的与捕获区域相对应的图像数据。
下面参考图5来说明根据本发明实施例的捕获图像信号的方法。可以在操作S100处通过执行捕获应用程序来实现捕获设置单元60。即,将根据执行捕获应用程序的控制信号提供给显示设备的控制单元50,从而可以实现上述与图像数据相关的捕获功能。此时,可以构成捕获应用程序,以便在计算机等中执行并通过显示单元40提供要实现捕获功能的界面屏幕61和62。
因此,对于显示在显示设备的显示单元上的图像,在操作S102处,允许用户使用捕获应用程序来建立预定捕获区域。显示设备通过在控制单元50中提供关于要由捕获应用程序使用的捕获区域的信息来执行捕获功能。在操作S202处,捕获装置(例如捕获块单元22)捕获与相对于显示的图像的捕获区域相对应的图像数据。当在操作S104处建立捕获区域之后通过使用捕获应用程序提供要执行捕获的命令时,在操作204处显示设备的控制单元50允许捕获块单元22捕获相对应的捕获区域。同时,捕获块单元22确定如上所述提供的图像数据是否与捕获区域相对应并且是否允许捕获的图像数据被存储在捕获存储器32中。当在操作S106处从捕获应用程序提供要载入捕获图像数据的命令时,在操作S206处显示设备的控制单元50传输与存储在捕获存储器32中的设置捕获区域相对应的图像数据以便捕获应用程序可以管理该数据。因此,在操作S108和S208处完成了预定捕获区域的捕获操作。可以通过执行捕获应用程序来提供对于预定操作的捕获图像数据。
现在结合图6来说明根据本发明典型实施例在显示设备中执行捕获功能的整个操作的控制流程。
在操作S300处,通过捕获设置单元60建立用户所希望的捕获区域。该设置操作可以通过上述各种方法实现。当在操作S302处完成了希望捕获区域的指定时,控制单元50将关于捕获区域的信息提供给捕获装置(例如捕获块单元22)并且建立捕获装置以便捕获图像数据。因此,在操作S306处控制单元50确定是否应用执行捕获设置捕获区域的命令以及存储捕获图像数据的输入信号。在操作S308处,如用户所希望地,控制单元50通过捕获块单元22,根据实际显示在显示单元40上的有效图像的设置捕获区域来捕获图像数据,并且将其存储到捕获存储器32中。上面已经说明了特定的捕获操作。当执行上述捕获时可以通过考虑显示单元40的显示分辨率来执行对设置捕获区域的坐标转换。
同时,不需要对于捕获执行和存储的独立命令,控制单元50可以捕获与用户建立的捕获区域相对应的实际有效图像的图像数据并且将其存储到捕获存储器32中。
当通过捕获设置单元60提前建立关于捕获区域的信息并且通过用户输入单元选定了对于有效图像的捕获功能时,根据本发明实施例的装置可以方便地只捕获并存储与用户选定的捕获区域相对应的图像数据。
根据本发明典型实施例的显示设备可以根据从显示在显示单元上的预定信号源提供的图像信号、通过当用户实际查看有效图像时以简单的方式在有效图像的图像数据中建立希望捕获区域、以及存储相关捕获区域的图像数据、来提高用户便利性。此外,因为捕获了希望的预定图像数据而不是显示在显示单元上的整个有效图像,可以减少存储容量并增加捕获效率。
在上述根据本发明的典型实施例的显示设备中,在信号处理单元中使来自信号源的不同图像信号数字化、提供给转换器并且为了示例而显示在显示单元上。此外,本发明的实施例可以应用于显示模拟图像信号的显示设备,例如阴极射线管(CRT)。根据本发明实施例的显示设备及其控制方法还可以应用于投影式显示设备以及直接可视式显示设备。
依照根据本发明实施例的显示设备及其控制方法,当显示在显示单元上并实际由用户查看时可以捕获活动的图像,并且可以通过在实际有效图像中建立用户所希望的捕获区域来捕获部分区域。
尽管已经示出并说明了本发明的一些实施例,本领域的技术人员可以理解到在不脱离本发明的原理和精神之下可以在这些实施例中作出变化,在所附权利要求书及其等效物中定义了本发明的范围。

Claims (12)

1、一种具有显示单元的显示设备,所述显示单元用于根据从预定信号源提供的图像信号在其上显示有效图像,该显示设备包括:
捕获设置单元,用于在显示在显示单元上的有效图像中设置要捕获的预定捕获区域;
捕获块单元,用于在被激活为有效图像的图像数据中捕获设置捕获区域内的图像数据;以及
控制单元,用于控制捕获块单元来捕获与设置捕获区域相对应的有效图像的图像数据,
其中,显示的有效图像包括根据从不同信号源提供的、不同图像信号的图像数据。
2、根据权利要求1所述的显示设备,还包括捕获存储器,用于在其中存储由捕获块单元捕获的、捕获区域的图像数据。
3、根据权利要求1所述的显示设备,其中,有效图像包括由显示单元上的预定OSD图像数据所显示的OSD图像。
4、根据权利要求1所述的显示设备,其中,根据显示在显示单元上的OSD图像,捕获设置单元被实现为界面屏幕。
5、根据权利要求1所述的显示设备,其中,捕获设置单元被实现为预定的应用程序。
6、根据权利要求1所述的显示设备,其中,捕获设置单元被实现为通用的输入装置。
7、根据权利要求1所述的显示设备,其中,根据相对于有效图像的预定坐标值,利用划分块来建立捕获区域。
8、根据权利要求7所述的显示设备,其中,利用多个划分块来建立捕获区域。
9、根据权利要求7所述的显示设备,其中,建立捕获区域,以使划分块具有任意形状。
10、根据权利要求7所述的显示设备,其中,控制单元适用于将基于输入分辨率的捕获区域的坐标值转换为基于显示分辨率的坐标值,以便允许捕获块单元捕获与捕获区域相对应的图像数据,其中图像信号的输入分辨率和在显示单元上建立的显示分辨率彼此不同。
11、一种显示设备的控制方法,显示设备具有用于根据从预定信号源提供的图像信号来在其上显示有效图像的显示单元,该方法包括:
根据预定坐标值,利用划分块在显示在显示单元上的有效图像中建立要捕获的预定捕获区域;
根据捕获执行命令,从有效图像的图像数据中捕获在设置捕获区域内的图像数据;以及
存储捕获的图像数据,
其中,显示的有效图像包括根据从不同信号源提供的、不同图像信号的图像数据。
12、根据权利要求11所述的控制方法,还包括通过将基于输入分辨率的捕获区域的坐标值转换为基于显示分辨率的坐标值来捕获与捕获区域相对应的图像数据,其中图像信号的输入分辨率和在显示单元上建立的显示分辨率彼此不同。
