Description
本申请是在2001年12月21日提交的序列号为10/037,295的美国非临时专利申请的部分继续申请,该美国非临时专利申请要求享有2001年11月9日提交的序列号为60/332463的美国临时专利申请的优先权,这两篇文件在此均引入作为参考并组成本文的一部分。
技术领域
本发明通常涉及一种软质塑料容器,尤其涉及一种将其中包含的流动材料引导至容器的附件并分配该流动材料的软质容器。
背景技术
可折叠塑料袋通常用于存储液体产品,例如化学制品、软饮料浆、果汁和食物调味品。塑料袋通常容纳在波纹纸板箱中以助于产品的运输、处理和分配。此类包装系统通常被称作“箱中袋”包装系统。
塑料袋通常具有沿外围接缝密封的侧壁以形成流体容室。一个喷嘴或附件提供了流体容室的入口以在袋中填充和分配产品。有时会将真空泵系统连接到容器上以助于从容器中排出流体。重力分配袋和真空泵系统这两者均会遭遇流体在排泄过程中被截留在袋的褶皱中的常见问题。为此,通常在袋内设置抽空通道。抽空通道通常是细长的圆柱形管或带有形成槽的突出肋的扁带。通常,抽空通道的一端与喷嘴横向布置或连接到喷嘴上,并且抽空通道的另一端延伸入袋的流体容室。由于袋在真空泵的力或重力的作用下排空,所以袋的各个部分会不均衡地凹陷,趋于留下袋状的产品(通常为液体),它可能会与容器中其它液体隔离开。然而,抽空通道会形成一个不能由袋中形成的褶皱隔离的管道。这样,软质袋的整个空腔在分配过程中就总是与喷嘴连通,这样袋中的产品就可以被移出。
在美国专利4,601,410;5,647,511和5,749,493中公开了提供此类袋的在先尝试。美国专利4,601,410和5,647,511公开了一种具有排空装置的液体容器。在’410和’511这两个专利中,所显示的排空装置直接由装配环连接到喷嘴上。这些类型的排空装置存在几个问题。例如,在通常以高速及高压过程完成的填充过程中,排空装置可能会脱离喷嘴,从而使排空装置失效。同样,固定环在填充过程中会妨碍液体的流动,从而减缓填充过程。
美国专利5,749,493公开了一种排空装置,其位于袋内并与袋中的喷嘴横向并垂直。因为排空装置位于在填充过程中与进入的流体一致的位置,所以它会由其容器的固定件上脱离,从而使其失效。’493专利也公开了沿着容器的长度挤压一对肋或一个肋或隆起。
许多使用位于袋内排空装置的设计都要求在袋基本构造完毕之后将该装置放入该袋中。这是非常不必要的,因为它会向制造工艺中添加另一个步骤并且增加人工成本。
美国专利No.Re.34,929公开了一种塑料袋,在其内表面具有互相连通的空气通道以用于易腐食品的真空包装。空气通道由位于多个凸起的隆起之间的间隔形成,这些隆起具有一致的厚度,并且空气通道形成通常为规则的网格式图案。隆起用于阻止袋在排气过程中总体凹陷。其中并未公开使用附件接近容器的内含物。另外其中也没有公开如何除去袋中存储的内含物,只是公开了从包装袋中去除空气以防止其中包含的易腐食品受到损坏。
美国专利No.2,778,171公开了一种用于包装诸如食物的易腐食品的气密袋产品。在气密袋开口附近提供了凸起以保持容器的侧壁在空气由容器中排出时不会彼此完全凹陷。其中并未公开如何从容器中排出存储的产品,也没有公开如何向袋提供一个附件以接近存储的内含物。
美国专利No.5,728,086公开了一种具有多个进口的软质容器,并特别公开了一种用于存储患者使用的肠胃外投药流体的容器。容器侧壁的内表面具有压印在其上的多种图案以助于排放容器中的内含物。
发明内容
本发明提供了一种用于存储并分配流体的软质聚合物容器。容器具有连接在一起以在其中形成流体容室的第一侧壁和第二侧壁。第一侧壁和第二侧壁均具有一个面向流体容室的内表面和对置的外表面。一个喷嘴连接在第一侧壁或第二侧壁的外表面上,该喷嘴具有一个开口,具有一个基本上垂直于外表面的轴。在第一侧壁或第二侧壁的内表面上放置了多个物体以形成多个通道,所述多个通道至少具有彼此相交的第一通道和第二通道。
本发明还提供了一种用于存储并分配流体的软质聚合物容器。该容器具有连接在一起以在其中形成一个流体容室的第一侧壁和第二侧壁,第一侧壁和第二侧壁均具有一个面向流体容室的内表面和对置的外表面和用于接近流体容室的进入构件。多个具有第一种形状的第一组物体置于第一侧壁或第二侧壁的内表面上。多个具有不同于第一种形状的第二种形状的第二组物体置于第一侧壁或第二侧壁的内表面上。
本发明还提供了一种用于从容器中排空流体的方法。该方法包括以下步骤:(1)提供一种具有侧壁的液体容器,且侧壁具有内表面和外表面,(2)在侧壁内表面上提供多个物体以形成多个通道,所述多个通道至少具有彼此相交的第一通道和第二通道;(3)提供一个连接到外表面上的喷嘴,该喷嘴具有一个开口,所述喷嘴具有基本上与外表面垂直的轴;和(4)向喷嘴施加一个吸力以将流体从容器中吸出。

具体实施方式
尽管本发明能够以多种不同的形式实现,在此将参照附图详细描述本发明的一个优选实施例。本公开被认为是本发明原理的范例而且并非用于将本发明的较宽方面限制为图示且描述的实施例。
图1和图2显示了软质容器装置10,其具有附加到周边14上以形成流体密封容室16的第一侧壁12和第二侧壁13。喷嘴18附加到侧壁12的外表面上并提供容室16的液流入口。在本发明的一个优选形式中,第一侧壁12和第二侧壁13是具有小于50,000psi弹性模量的软质聚合物材料。侧壁优选地由诸如均聚物和聚烯烃、聚酰胺、聚酯或其它能够使用工业标准密封技术密封的材料的共聚物制成。这些技术包括,但是并不限于热封、射频焊接和超声密封。侧壁可以是多层的或是单层的,并且可以由任何合适的聚合物加工技术制成,包括挤压、混合挤压、层压、叠层或其它技术。容器由对齐放置的单个薄片制成并沿周边14密封,或者可以由吹塑薄膜方法制成,其中只有管的相反端需要密封以制成容器10。
图3显示了侧壁12上的多个物体20。物体20可以置于一个侧壁或两个侧壁之上。在本发明的一个优选形式中,在侧壁的整个表面上都提供了这些物体,但是也可以只在表面上的选择区域中提供。在整个侧壁表面上提供物体就无需对侧壁进行定位。此外,在整个表面上提供物体可以确保流体从包括角落区域在内的容器的所有部分排空。物体可以是任何形状,包括诸如圆形、多边形、直线或曲线、符号等规则形状在内。物体可以具有不规则的形状。这些物体20有助于从容室16中排空流体。物体20可以是凸出的隆起或这些形状的凹槽。对象可以具有完全相同的形状或者形状的组合。物体可以具有不同的大小,只要它们可以在排出流体或容器的特定内含物时有效地提供贯穿容器的流体通道即可。
相对于现有技术中具有置于容器内表面并附加到其上的排空装置的容器来说,在侧壁12上的物体20具有一个优点。排空装置通常由聚合材料制成,并且被加热密封或焊接到容器内侧。在此类容器中的焊接区与容器的内含物接触。焊接区可能会对容器中的内含物产生不希望有的感官影响。如同此处公开的那样,直接在侧壁上提供物体就排除了由于对容器中的排空装置进行加热密封而造成的影响感官的残渣。此外,排空装置通常是一个刚性构件。本发明无需刚性构件,从而形成具有较薄外形的袋,因此降低了运输和存储容积。同样,刚性构件型排空装置在从容器的角落里排空流体时并非完全有效。本发明可以除去那些可能仍然残留在角落里的流体。
物体20可以形成规则图案或不规则图案。规则图案包括以相同或基本上相同的间隔或以重复的间隔次序放置的物体。不规则图案是其中物体通常随机分布的一种图案。
在如图4所示的本发明的一个优选形式中,规则间隔的矩形状物体30的图案在其之间形成通道32。该棋盘图案具有至少一个与第二通道34相交的第一通道33。在本发明的一个优选形式中,通道基本上彼此垂直相交。然而,可以预料,通道32的相交可以形成各种角度而不脱离本发明。
图5显示了本发明的另一个优选形式,其具有一系列圆形隆起40和X形隆起44。圆形隆起40形成圆形42。X形隆起44形成S形图案46。当然,可以预料,可以使用凸起形状的任意组合并且可以使用两个以上的不同形状。本发明还预料单个隆起可以形成不同的标记,例如商标、商品名称、标识、使用说明书或其它辨识或有用信息或可以透过侧壁12或侧壁13或两者看到的广告。
物体可以在侧壁的制造过程中通过本领域中公知的技术(包括压印在内)或在侧壁制造弯成之后通过压印而形成于侧壁12或侧壁13或两者的内表面上。图案也可以通过挤压涂层工艺或类似工艺添加。物体可以使用异形模压入侧壁。可以想到本领域中公知的用于形成物体的众多其它机制和工艺,并且本发明不应局限于所列举的这些工艺。图案中的通道32和33优选具有大于或等于1mil的深度,或者小于8mil,并且更优选地小于5mil。最优选地,对于具有软饮料浆粘性的流体,通道32和33将具有大约1到4mil的深度。对于具有较大粘性的流体,需要更大的深度以提供流体在通道中适当的流动,从而由容器装置中排空该流体。
附件18具有一个开口50,其具有一个基本上垂直于容器侧壁12板面的轴。可以预料,附件18能够以不同角度安装到侧壁上而不脱离本发明。附件18提供对容室16中内含物的流体入口。通常,容器10用于容纳诸如软饮料浆之类的流体,其使用软管由容器中抽出并在喷头处与诸如苏打水之类的稀释剂混合。该软管(未显示)具有一个用于以流体和气密配置连接到附件上的附加装置。通过软管向附件18施加一个真空以由容器中抽出流体。该真空会生成一个压力差以使流体开始流动。当然,附件18可以附加到第一侧壁12或第二侧壁13或是两者上,并且可以位于其上的任何位置。
本发明还提供了一种用于排空图1所示容器的方法。用于从容器中排空流体的方法包括以下步骤:(1)提供一种具有侧壁的液体充满的容器,且侧壁具有内表面和外表面,(2)在侧壁内表面上提供多个物体以形成多个通道,所述多个通道至少具有彼此相交的第一通道和第二通道;(3)提供一个连接到侧壁外表面上的附件,该附件具有一个开口,具有基本上与外表面垂直的轴;和(4)向附件施加一个吸力以从容器中抽出流体。
尽管公开了特定的实施例,但是可以想到多种改进而不会显著地背离发明的精神,并且保护范围仅受到附加权利要求的限制。该设计只是具有有利特性的图案设计的一个实例,其公开只是具有其有利特性的设计的一个实例,其它设计并未显著背离本发明的精神。
Claims (12)
1.一种用于存储并分配流体的软质聚合物容器,包括:
连接在一起以在其中形成流体容室的第一侧壁和第二侧壁,第一侧壁和第二侧壁均具有一个面向流体容室的内表面和对置的外表面;
连接到第一侧壁或第二侧壁的外表面上的喷嘴,所述喷嘴具有一个开口,所述喷嘴具有一个基本上垂直于外表面的轴;和
在第一侧壁或第二侧壁的内表面上放置的多个物体,所述多个物体包括第一组具有第一种形状的物体,还包括第二组具有与第一种形状不同的第二种形状的物体,以形成多个通道的图案,所述多个通道至少具有彼此相交的第一通道和第二通道。
2.如权利要求1所述的容器,其中图案为棋盘图案。
3.如权利要求1所述的容器,其中每一个第一组的物体为圆形。
4.如权利要求1所述的容器,其中每一个第一组的物体为多边形。
5.如权利要求1所述的容器,其中每一个第一组的物体为不规则形状。
6.如权利要求1所述的容器,其中每一个第一组的物体为S形。
7.如权利要求6所述的容器,其中S形物体由容器的第一端延伸至容器的第二端。
8.如权利要求1所述的容器,其中图案在第一侧壁或第二侧壁的整个表面上延伸。
9.一种用于从容器中排空流体的方法,包括以下步骤:
提供一种具有侧壁的液体容器,且侧壁具有内表面;
在侧壁内表面上提供多个物体以形成多个通道,所述多个物体包括一组具有第一种形状的物体,还包括一组具有与第一种形状不同的第二种形状的物体,所述多个通道至少具有彼此相交的第一通道和第二通道;
提供一个连接到侧壁外表面上的喷嘴,所述喷嘴具有一个开口,所述喷嘴具有基本上与外表面垂直的轴;和
向喷嘴施加一个吸力以将流体从容器中吸出。
10.如权利要求9所述的方法,其中在施加吸力以由容器中吸出流体的步骤中,该流体基本上完全由该容器吸出。
11.如权利要求9所述的方法,其中在向喷嘴施加吸力之前,所述容器放置在一个盒子里面。
12.一种用于存储并分配流体的软质聚合物容器,包括:

连接到第一侧壁或第二侧壁的外表面上的喷嘴,所述喷嘴具有开口,所述喷嘴具有一个基本上垂直于外表面的轴;和
在所述侧壁形成的过程中,在所述第一侧壁或第二侧壁的内表面上形成的多个物体,所述多个物体至少包括第一组具有第一种形状的物体,及第二组具有与第一种形状不同的第二种形状的物体,形成多个通道的图案,所述多个通道至少具有彼此相交的第一通道和第二通道,每一个通道的深度大于1mil,小于8mil。
