检查具有存取控制器的电视接收器的方法及其相关接收器
技术领域
本发明涉及—种检查具有存取控制器的电视接收器的方法以及用这种方法检查的接收器。
现有技术
在具有存取控制器的电视中,首先用一种编成密码的算法将要传输的数据扰乱,然后将被扰乱的数据与存取控制的信息一起传播。对同意适当预定的订户的接收器安装一些构成存取权利的信息,这种存取权利可以使订户在存取控制讯息中重新找到为解扰传输数据所需要的关键词。
例如,文献FR-A-2448825描述的系统采用的预定关键词Ci可以在约几个月的较长时间间隔内进行随机变化,服务关键词K也可以随机变化,但时间间隔较短,约为几分钟。利用服务关键词K将数据扰乱。利用一种变量为关键词Ci的算法从多个预定关键词Ci和一个服务关键词K中得到存取控制讯息Mi。在订户的接收器中,接收器中所含的智能卡装有与订户同意预定的关键词对应的关键词。与智能卡相连的终端有一个服务关键词K的恢复电路,该电路接收讯息Mi并设置包含在智能卡中的预定关键词Ci。该电路恢复服务关键词。因而解扰设备重新清楚地找到数据。
虽然这种技术在诸多方面都很杰出,但其问题是易于受到欺诈。因为,狡猾的欺诈者为了能够接收一个程序就会更改接收器,即使在订户还未偿还相应的定金以前也是如此。为了防止这种欺诈(或减少这种欺诈),要求定期在订户家中进行检查,以便控制他们的接收器的完整性。对于商业上很显然的理由,这几乎是不可能的。
本发明正是为了解决该问题。
发明的技术方案
根据本发明,利用广播器机构控制接收器的检查,并由接收器自身进行检查。如果检查表明接收器保留其完整性,则接收器继续正常运行。在相反的情况下,总要想法改变运行,例如部分或全部停止。
根据本发明,采取以下措施:
A)广播器进行计算,这种计算中的变量为一个或多个确定的参数;
然后广播器将与其有关的计算结果传输给每一个接收器,每一个接收器存储这些不同的结果;
B)为了检查一个特定接收器,广播器将确定的参数传送给接收器;
因而接收器进行计算,并将其得到的结果与其存储的相应结果进行比较;如果不一致,则适当改变其运行,例如停止运行。
当接收器包括一个终端和一个智能卡时,最好是智能卡存储广播器传输的计算结果,而终端进行相关计算。
在第一种变型中,终端将其计算结果传输给智能卡;而智能卡将该结果与其存储的结果进行比较,如果有差别,则智能卡就改变接收器的运行,例如禁止与终端继续配合。
在第二种变型中,终端读智能卡中的结果,该结果对应于其进行的计算,并将该结果与其自身得到的结果比较;如果有差别,则终端就改变接收器的运行,例如禁止与智能卡继续配合。
所用的参数可以由一个第一参数和一个第二参数构成,所述第一参数对应于其中的一个预定,所述第二参数由接收器的一个特性构成,例如它们的智能卡的序列号(唯一的)。
所用的计算的算法可以是任何一种算法:可以是对称或不对称的加密的算法,RSA算法,DES算法或任何其他算法。
所用的与预定结合的计算算法并不一定要与其它计算算法相同。可以在制造时将这种算法引入终端中,或是在检查时可以用广播器执行这种算法。
本发明还有—个目的在于用上述方法控制的电视接收器。该接收器包括一个终端和一个具有存取权利的智能卡,其特征在于:
所述智能卡还包括计算的不同结果;
所述终端包括利用一个或多个确定参数进行确定计算的设备;
所述接收器包括将终端的计算结果与智能卡中所包含的相应结果进行比较的设备;
所述接收器包括在两种结果之间出现差别时对其运行进行适当改变的设备。
在第一种变型中,用于比较结果的设备位于智能卡中,该智能卡适合于改变接收器的运行。
在第二种变型中,用于比较结果的设备位于终端中,该终端适合于改变接收器的运行。
各参数中的一个参数对应于各预定中的一个预定,而另一参数可以是接收器的一个特性,例如是智能卡的序列号。

优选实施例的详细描述
作为非限定的实施例,假定计算算法是具有对称关键词的加密的算法,则该算法与智能卡的序列号有关。这种算法已经用在存取控制中,主要用于重新获取服务关键词(参见本文的开头部分)。我们记住Aci(NSJ)算法使用的是关键词Ci,其中标记i和系统的n个不同的预定有关,NSJ表示第J个接收器的序列号,标记J鉴别接收器(J从1-P)。将该计算结果记成Ri,J。假定每一个接收器都带有n个预定关键词Ci。
广播器随时计算np结果Ri,J,i为1-n,J为1-p。只有n个结果Ri对应于一个确定排q(J=q)的一个接收器,q对应于预定关键词Ci(i为1-n)。
为了检查q排的接收器,广播器在n个预定关键词中选择一个预定关键词,也就是Ck,并且命令接收器进行计算,取预定关键词Ck作为参数。当广播器计算时,就得到计算结果Rk,q。因而该广播器计算ACk(NSq),将该结果与其已经从广播器中接收到的并已存储的结果比较。如果两者的结果相同,则接收器继续其正常运行。但如果这两个结果不一致,则就可能有接收器的欺诈操作,运行就会停止。
表I简单示出了这些操作。
该表没有明确表示什么样的接收器对这些结果进行比较。在表II中,假定智能卡承担此任务。在这种情况下,终端没有读出智能卡中记录的结果。表III所指的情况是终端承担比较任务。在两个表II和III中,为简化符号,省略了代表接收器的标记q。

作为一个简单的例子,可以假定一个预定对应于每一个接收器。广播器计算n个结果Ri。一个结果Rq对应于q排的接收器,该结果对应于预定关键词Cq和算法ACq
为了对该接收器进行检查,广播器命令该接收器进行计算,并取该预定关键词Cq作为参数。当广播器进行计算时,由计算得到结果Rq,因此接收器计算Rq(NSq),并将得到的结果与其取自广播器的结果Rq进行比较。
根据本发明,发现终端和智能卡是动态产品,在此意义上它们的内容可以变化:在任何时候它们均可以接收新存取权利和新计算结果。
计算算法可以求助于其它关键词而不是上述预定关键词,例如求助于各种由基础关键词得到的关键词,这种基础关键词与每一个智能卡的标识相结合。在这种情况下,每一个接收器用一个与其适应的关键词进行计算。同样,算法可以动态改变或或变化。
对应于表I到III的接收器的各个实施模式分别示于图1到图3中。
在图1中,电视接收器1由本发明的一个实施模式的方法进行检查,该接收器包括一个终端2和一个含有与预定相关的存取权利的智能卡3。智能卡还包括不同的计算结果。
终端2包括适合于用一个或多个预定参数完成任何一种计算的设备4,所述计算为本方法预备的。
接收器1包括用于对终端2完成的计算结果与智能卡3中储存的对应结果进行比较的设备5。
接收器包括在两种结果存在差别的情况下以适当的方式改变其运行的设备6。
在图2所示的实施方案中,用于对终端2完成的计算结果与智能卡3中储存的对应结果进行比较的设备5被设置在智能卡3中,而该智能卡适合于改变接收器的运行。

Claims (13)

1.一种检查具有存取控制器的电视接收器的方法,其中有一个广播器向已经预定的订户传输相应的存取权利,所述接收器包括一个终端和一个存储这些存取权利的智能卡,
该方法包括:
A)所述广播器进行计算,该计算由至少一个参数限定;
然后该广播器将针对所述接收器的计算结果传输给该接收器,
所述结果被存储在所述接收器的智能卡中;
B)为了检查所述的接收器,
所述广播器将该至少一个参数传送给接收器;
根据由广播器传送的该至少一个参数,所述接收器进行计算;
将接收器得到的计算结果与预先存储在接收器智能卡中的结果之间进行比较;
如果有差别,则改变接收器的运行。
2.根据权利要求1的方法,其中智能卡存储由广播器传送给接收器的存取权利,并且终端进行受所述广播器控制的计算。
3.根据权利要求2的方法,其中:
所述终端将其计算结果传输给所述智能卡;
所述智能卡将终端传输的结果与其从所述广播器中接收到的结果进行比较;
如果有差别,则所述智能卡就改变接收器的运行。
4.根据权利要求2的方法,其中:
所述终端读智能卡中的结果,该结果对应于该终端进行的计算;
所述终端将其计算结果与所述智能卡中读到的结果比较;
如果有差别,则终端就改变接收器的运行。
5.根据权利要求1的方法,其中所述广播器进行计算,计算中的参数为对应于其中一个预定的第一参数和由接收器的一个特性构成的第二参数。
6.根据权利要求5的方法,其中所述广播器和接收器所进行的计算由加密算法确定,该算法的加密关键词取决于预定关键词,该加密与一个数值有关,而该数值取决于接收器的一个特性。
7.根据权利要求6的方法,其中所述加密的关键词是预定关键词。
8.根据权利要求6的方法,其中所述数值是用在接收器中的智能卡的序列号
9.一种用权利要求1的方法进行检查的电视接收器,该接收器包括一个终端、一个具有与预定有关的存取权利的智能卡、计算设备,该接收器的特征在于:
所述终端包括接收参照结果并将该参照结果存储在智能卡中的设备;
所述接收器包括接收一个确定的参数并且利用所述终端的所述计算设备计算出结果的设备;
所述接收器包括将计算结果与参照结果进行比较的设备;
所述接收器包括在两种结果之间出现差别时对其运行进行改变的设备。
10.根据权利要求9的接收器,其中用于比较结果的设备位于所述智能卡中,该智能卡适合于改变接收器的运行。
11.根据权利要求9的接收器,其中用于比较结果的设备位于终端中,该终端适合于改变接收器的运行。
12.根据权利要求9的接收器,其中所述终端使用由存储在所述智能卡中的一个存取权利构成的第一参数和由接收器的一个特性构成的第二参数来计算。
